This is the final chapter. Thank you everyone for reading and viewing. I hope you enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Stay tune for the next one which should be coming around pretty soon. I have so many ideas inside this head of mine that I can't wait to write down.
Anakin looked down at the control settings on his x-wing. He noticed the time of arrival and saw they would be arriving right on time, thankfully. They left Coruscant later than they anticipated and he had doubts they would arrive on Naboo in time.
"Leia isn't going to be happy, if we are late." He head Luke say over the head set.
"I'd be more worried about your mother." Anakin chuckled. "But we should be arriving into the Naboo system here shortly, so they have nothing to worry about." He hoped for he knew he wouldn't here the end of it, if they were late.
"You don't think she will understand we had an issue with the rebuilding of Jedi Temple?" Luke laughed.
"I have a feeling she won't find that as a very good excuse." Anakin said.
They arrived on Naboo and made their way to the Lake County. Both Luke and Anakin landed their ships and quickly jumped out. He looked around and sighed in relief not seeing Padme waiting. Maybe she was too busy to see how close they were to being late.
"I think we might be in the clear." He said to Luke.
"Do you have any idea what time it is?" He heard that beautiful voice say. He turned around and there she was walking over to them with her arms crossed. She was wearing a long flowy dark blue dress with her curly hair falling around her shoulders. She truly was a vision. "Are you really trying to be late for your Leia's wedding?"
He walked over to her and placed a kiss on her cheek knowing she couldn't stay mad at him for long. "I believe we still have 5 minutes to spare."
She smirked at him. "That leaves just enough time for you to change I suppose." She leads them to the room where there clothes were waiting for them. She quickly leaves them having a few last minute things to make sure are okay, before the wedding starts.
After changing, him and Luke walked over to the entry way leading to the balcony over-looking the Lake. He stopped when he saw Leia. She was as beautiful as her mother was on their wedding day. Like most brides she was wearing a white dress and her hair was piled on top of her head with a few strand falling around her face. He smiled walking over to her as she turned around with a stern look on her face.
"You both are late." She greeted them the same as her mother. "Go Luke you need to go out there." She told him practically pushing him down the aisle.
Not wanting to start a fight on his sister's wedding day. Luke walked out and made his way to the front standing next to Han.
"Your nervous are all over the place." Anakin told her.
"I don't know what you are talking about." Leia said trying to fix her already perfect dress.
"Will you stop? You found a good man ,even if he is a bit of a scoundrel." He joked trying to calm her nerves. Over the past couple months he has grown to really like Han. They have worked together to fix the Falcon and he must say he was impressed. With all the moderation they did, the ship was a real beauty.
He stuck out his arm as Leia held on. He could feel her shaking slightly. "You know I was the same as you when I married your mother."
"I find that hard to believe." Leia said.
"I was and I'm sure Han is feeling the same as both of us." Anakin said as they slowly started to walk out.
He felt Leia slowly relax when they rounded the corner and she saw Han standing up front next to Luke. They slowly start to walk down the aisle. He noticed there wasn't a whole lot of people, but the people who mattered most where there. He saw Mon and few people from the rebellion, C3po and r2 where standing off to the side bickering as always, and Padme's parents and sister where there as well. He was happy to see them here. When Padme found out they were still living in her old house, they both went there right away. They were so happy to see her and everyone cried. She decided not to tell them he was Vader, figuring they wouldn't understand. It seems they were just happy to have their daughter back. Next to them, he saw Padme sitting already she was crying her eyes out.
They stopped before Han and he patted him on the back, welcoming him to the family. He turned to his daughter and she wrapped her arms around him hugging him. He was caught off guard and smiled feeling the tears in his eyes. He hugged her back and she looked up at him.
"I love you." She told him.
"Oh Leia, I love you too." He said as she gave her over to Han.
He walked over to Padme and sat beside her holding her hand.
"Do you remember when this was us?" He whispered to her.
"How could I not? We were so young and you were so scared. I don't think I've ever seen you so scared." She rested her head on his shoulder. "Look at us now. Parents at our daughter's wedding."
"Definitely not the young Padawan and Senator we were back then." Anakin sighed.
"No, but still two people madly in love." She smiled giving him a kiss.
It took him many years of pain and heart ache, but he was finally where he wanted to be. Next to his wife, with his beautiful children. They all have been through so much, but it was because of all of them and their love that they were here right now. It was because of that love, he was able to redem him and become the person he was truly ment to be.
