Ron was the only one enjoying the situation.
-"Shoes, you are going to be an aunt!"

She adopted a pensive poise, the tip of her tail tapping her scaly lips.

A mortified Karrin got a crash course on exactly HOW that happened and no, it wasn't a false positive, and yes, she was indeed pregnant.
-"I was eager to practice the Art again." She placed a hand on her belly. "That will have to wait."

I took her hands and bowed low.
-"It was my mistake. I could excuse myself that the... death...at my hands earlier that day, threw me out of the game." I pulled down the bile. "But I accept my responsibility."

-"If anything, both of us were at fault. I insisted on doing it fast, even when you warned me it was going to hurt."

I caressed her fingers.
-"But I should have known better, I should have stopped. But I wanted-"

Ron cleared his throat.
-"Phrasing people, phrasing."

I let go of her hands while Karin muttered about vengeance.

My hand shot outta reflex and caught something from the air.

Mai mused from the couch.
-"All that training, at least something stuck."

My ears reddened and focused on my hands. It looked like a cop badge and on top, it said Magical Law Enforcement.
I stared at Ron, who was all too pleased with himself.

He made a finger gun at me.
-"I already informed the guys in the Special Division."

My eyes found Karrin.
-"Is he for real?"

She adopted a smug expression.
-"It made sense for the Great Tiger to meet the Black Cats family."
