A/N: KawaiiCutie12: Lol Simba is as paranoid as usual. But it's understandable why he's being the way he is. After all, he's had to deal with the loss of his father. And I'm glad to see that you understand where I'm coming from. Let's not forget that Kovu was only in the pride for a few hours. He can be suspicious in the pride. Again, I'm glad that you understand where I am coming from.

Anyways, here is Chapter 26 for you all! As always, go to Chapter 1 for disclaimers. Without further or do, here is Chapter 26.

Chapter 26: Doubts Form

The next day Kali woke up for a start. She looked around to see the lionesses gone, including her sister, mother, and sisters-in-law. She also noticed that her step-father, Penda's step-father, Penda, her older brothers, and her younger half-sister, Kiara were not in the cave. She then looked at her daughter, who was sleeping peacefully cuddled up next to her. Being careful not to wake up her daughter, Kali got up slowly and stretched before going out of the royal cave to see the sun already rose. She then decided to go to the watering hole. As she got there, she saw her brothers there, talking to each other. "Uh, hey guys," Kali said, approaching her brothers, hoping she wasn't bothering them.

"Oh hey Kali," Kopa said with a smile facing his sister. Then he noticed her troubled expression. "Are you alright?" he asked the worry clear in his voice.

"Yeah," Chaka chimed in, also worried. "Are you okay? You looked troubled."

"Yeah," Kali said with a sigh. "It's about that lion me and Nadra saw when we got back to Pride Rock at midnight."

"Oh?" Kopa said his eyes wide.

"Kopa I think Kali means Kovu," Chaka pointed out. "I think she means that Kovu could be seen as a threat to us."

"So his name is Kovu?" Kali said her eyes wide.

"Yeah," Kopa replied. "And it's weird because it means Scar."

"And I get reminded of my father so much," Chaka growled, remembering his tyrant father who always used him as a punching bag and a tool. "We were doing just damn fine without him. And now I'm starting to get reminded of my own damn father because of him."

"Well I mean you did say that Simba did owe him Kiara's life," Kopa pointed out.

"That was before," Chaka growled. "But now I'm starting to think differently. I feel like Kovu's going to do something and I feel like it's going to be trouble. I honestly think Simba was too quick to accepting Kovu that quickly now. I really do."

"I know how you feel," Kopa said with an agreement. "Suspicions and doubts are starting to form. No doubt that Kovu will most definitely cause trouble. He can be very suspicious."

"Well if that's the case then I'm telling my daughter to not go anywhere near Kovu," Chaka growled. "I am not letting that bastard go anywhere near my daughter."

"I'm most certainly telling my son to not going anywhere near Kovu either," Kopa said. "Kovu is most definitely going to do something to my son if I let him go anywhere near him."

"Man you guys really don't trust him huh?" Kali said with a slight laugh.

"Well we don't," Kopa growled. "That sick bitch is not to be trusted. He's only been here for a day and who knows what he'll do. He might even hurt your daughter and Nafasi."

"Yeah," Chaka chimed in. "That's why I'm starting to think differently now. I'm starting to realize that we are were doing WAY much better without him before he even came here. There were no suspicions, doubts, and paranoia. And now there is because of him. I've even heard from a lioness that he was giving some creepy looks. That's also another reason for me to think differently now."

"Well for all of your explaining," Kali said, beginning to realize that Kovu might indeed be trouble. "I honestly am starting to feel like Kovu will harm my daughter if he's even close to her, which is something I don't want him doing."

"So our explaining really is accurate enough for you to think that Kovu will really cause trouble?" Kopa asked.

"Yeah," Kali said. "I've already had doubts about him when I went back to Pride Rock with my daughter. Actually it was my daughter who was the one who was suspicious before I was. That had me a bit convinced that Kovu was trouble. And now hearing it from you guys I am now starting to get suspicious with Kovu now. But the better question is where is Kovu at right now?"

"We have no idea," Kopa said. "Kiara is gone too. I bet she went to go look for him or something."

"Maybe more than that," Chaka piped up. "I just hope that Kovu does not corrupt Kiara in a bad way to turn her against us. I'd hate for that shit to happen. I've already had enough. My older half-sisters were the pain my ass during Scar's Reign and I don't need to be reminded of them." Chaka shuddered as he remembered those horrible times with his older half-sisters, Shaka and Doa, who always bullied him when he was a cub.

"Well I don't think that would be the case," Kopa said. "I think it's really going to be leaning more on if Kovu does something. I just hope I'm wrong what I am saying right now. If I am right, then we of course had every right to be suspicious about Kovu in the first place."

"Yeah," Chaka said with a sigh. "Man that Kovu really does remind me of my father so much. I just hate for history to repeat."

"So do I bro," Kopa said. "But as of right now he hasn't done anything. But he might sooner or later."

"Yeah that is true," Chaka said with a sigh.

"Well if that's the case," Kali chimed in. "I'm gonna uh go on a walk. If mom or Nadra asks where I am tell them that I am taking a walk on my own just to clear my head."

"Yeah we'll tell them," Chaka said with a smile. "Mom went out to hunt with the other lionesses. And I bet your daughter is in the royal cave still sleeping."

"Yeah, she is," Kali said. "She's pretty tired after yesterday."

"Very understandable," Chaka said.

"Agreed," Kopa said nodding in agreement. "You should take your walk now Kali. So that Kovu doesn't cross through your mind all the time."

"Yeah," Kali said with a sigh. "I really do need to get this Kovu out of my head. He's starting to give me a damn headache. So I'll see you guys later."

"See ya, sis," Kopa said, nuzzling his sister.

"Yeah let's just hope Kovu doesn't do anything to you otherwise I'd kill him," Chaka said, also nuzzling his sister.

"I doubt that he'd do anything to me," Kali said. "But if he does then I'll scream for help. But I should go now. See you guys later." With that Kali began to walk.

"Do you think Kovu should just leave the pride?" Kopa asked once Kali was gone.

"Well yes, what do you expect?" Chaka growled. "The pride is starting to get suspicious with him. I would be suspicious if I were them too. Who knows what he'll do."

"I see and feel you, bro," Kopa said. "But we should go look for the cubs. I just pray and hope Kovu didn't do anything to them."

"I'd kill Kovu for touching my daughter," Chaka growled. "But yeah I agree with you. Let's go find the cubs and tell them the hunting party will return soon." With that, the brothers went off to go find the cubs.

Meanwhile, Kali was walking near the borders. She was thinking about what her brothers were saying about Kovu. "I'm starting to think that dad was too quick to accepting Kovu into the pride," Kali thought to herself. "Chaka and Kopa clearly don't like Kovu being in the pride. They really do want him out of the pride. I really do feel them. I have heard some pride members when I came back. Some were still awake. I just don't know man. I'm starting to think that dad should send Kovu out. I really do. Chaka and Kopa want him out and now I'm starting to get convinced. I wonder what Aisha has to say about him. I haven't heard what Aisha has said about Kovu. I guess I'll talk to her later." With that Kali continued to walk until she was far from Pride Rock. Just then Kali heard a voice say, "What are you doing out here all alone?" Kali gasped and spun around to see...

A/N: Another cliffy! I am really mean, am I? XD.

Anyways, I might sound biased when I say this. But I understand the pride's paranoia, even Chaka and Kopa's. Kovu has only been in the pride for a day. He might not do anything now, but he might later. Who knows what he'll do. Kovu is very suspicious as of now.

Just to note that Kiara and Kovu are spending time together as they did in Simba's Pride, where Kovu taught Kiara how to hunt and then the rhino chase in this chapter. You just won't see it. Sorry guys.

Anyways, that's it for this chapter. See you all later in Chapter 27!
