Hello everyone! Wow long time, no see huh? Three years to be exact. Crazy how time flies. Now then, I recently had a reader ask me when I planned on updating this story and it's been stuck in my head since. AOA is probably my favorite series. The thing is, I've only just got back into writing again after a very long dry period where I had absolutely zero motivation. To top it off, the plot bunnies have my mind focused on my rewrite for my Transformers story.

I want to finish this story though. I have four chapters that are already written, three of them are in order. The fourth is supposed to have an episode between and unfortunately until I rewrite it, I can't post that. So here's what I'm going to do: I'm going to edit these three chapters, make sure they are written to a good standard, and then post them. Now if you've read AOA it's possible you've read these chapters. I had taken them down because I wanted to properly write this. So I apologize for that. It will most likely be a while before I have brand new content.

On the bright side, I wrote out a list of episodes that need done still. There's 85 altogether. So if I can get myself to actually finish it, there's a buttload of chapters left in this story.

Thanks for sticking with me after all this time. You guys are the whole reason this has existed as long as it has. Happy reading!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything. Enjoy this chapter and try not to hate me too much. Lol.

Chapter Forty: The Big Day

In the Skull and Dagger, thieves from all over the Agrabah meet up to chat and have some down time before continuing their thievery. It was also one of the few places the royal guards didn't dare enter. Catching one thief was one thing, catching a whole room full...well let's just say they didn't feel like taking the chance.

So, the thieves never had any problems. And if anyone tried to ruin it for them, they wouldn't be living for long. And people usually were smart enough to not bother trying. No one had a death wish. Perhaps that's why she liked coming here so much. Kristy was so used to running with thieves now. She sometimes had a difficult time dealing with the honor system her royal family used.

So to get away for a bit, Kristy liked to throw on a brown cloak and come to the Skull and Dagger for a drink or two. She never interacted with anyone, preferring to just sit in a corner and people watch. It could be quite amusing.

She wasn't prepared for the little boy to come in and threaten to arrest the entire pub.

Waheed was a known street child. Aladdin had practically taken him under his wing. The Sultan had purchased Aladdin's old hovel and turned it into a sort of home for parentless kids. Aladdin and Kendra both took great care to visit with these kids and tell them stories of their adventures.

Unfortunately this gave kids the idea that they could take on the world as well. Kristy just sighed in exasperation when the boy stood on a table and began hitting a mug against a metal tray. ""Okay, listen up, everybody! I'm taking you all in. And don't worry, the Sultan has enough dungeons to handle all you guys, ha ha." He smirked smugly.

The thieves began to laugh mockingly at the child. Kristy felt a prickle of danger. She reached for her sword, prepared to protect the boy if necessary.

A thief by the name of Hamar approached Waheed with a sinister grin. "Ahem! Only thieves and assassins are allowed in the Skull and Dagger, street mouse!"

The boy was unfazed. "I know. That's why I'm taking them all in." He told him simply and Kristy winced. This kid had grit, she'd give him that. However, in this situation, it might just get him killed.

Hamar snorted and grabbed a fistful of the boy's vest. Then he dragged him over to the door and threw him out. Kristy relaxed slightly. She could hear Waheed yelling on the other side of the door but she paid him no mind. He should be thankful the thieves had let him go with no major repercussions.

She should've known he wouldn't let it go at that. The sound of a stool shattering against flesh had her jumping out of her seat.

Hamar stood frozen in the middle of the bar, pieces of wood scattered at his feet. Waheed was in front of the door, a triumphant grin on his face. He did not realize the sort of danger he just put himself in.

Hamar turned around and narrowed his eyes in Waheed's direction. Kristy jumped up and ran in between the two of them. She had one hand inside her cloak, clutching her sword. "Alright boys, that's enough." She warned.

Hamar turned his angry glare to her. "I suggest you stay out of this, wench. I am not above killing women who get in my way." He warned her.

Kristy laughed while bowing down and clutching her stomach. The thieves all exchanged confused looks. After several uncomfortable moments of this, she finally stood up straight and wiped a tear from her eyes. "Honey I was trained by the King of Thieves himself. I'd love to see you try." She baited as she pulled her sword out from its holster.

Hamar looked at it and spit in disgust. "You need a weapon to fight? A real thief can fight hand to hand."

Kristy lifted an eyebrow before shrugging. She flung it to the side. "Let's do this then."

Fighting against Hamar was like fighting against any other thief. He tried to use his brute strength to his advantage. Kristy was prepared for that. Each time he threw a punch, she ducked. When he tried to kick her legs out from underneath her, she gracefully jumped out of the way. When he tried to grab her around the waist, she flipped up and threw him backwards.

Waheed watched her, eyes shining in amazement. Aladdin had always been his hero so he'd never thought there was someone out there who was just as great as him. But Kristy was really kicking Hamars butt.

It looked as if Kristy was going to win. At least until Hamar unsheathed his own sword while her back was momentarily turned and stabbed her in the side. "No!" Waheed shouted and tried to run to her, but a couple thieves grabbed his arm and pulled him back.

Kristy sneered at him, grunting in pain when he pulled the sword on. Her cloak was stained dark red as blood rushed from the wound.

"If I were you, I'd stay down girl." Hamar warned before he snapped his fingers at a nearby thief. The guy rushed over and held his sword to her throat. "Now to finish off the squirt."

Hamar stalked towards Waheed,a murderous glint in his eyes. He hadn't walked two steps when a new figure emerged. The newcomer quickly knocked out the thieves holding Waheed before turning to his Hamar. "Aladdin!" Waheed cheered at the sight of his hero.

"Leave the boy alone, Hamar." Aladdin growled, his sword held up at the ready. If there was anything Aladdin hated, it was when people much bigger tried to hurt a woman or a child. He had a wife and sister who were both pregnant and if anything happened to them, he'd be devastated. The fact that this guy had injured his sister's best friend (and weirdly his father's girlfriend) was enough to really make him mad.

Genie suddenly appeared. "What skill, what technique! No wonder he's Agrabah's greatest hero." Genie exclaimed, dressed as if he were a sports announcer. He still managed to shoot Kristy a concerned look however. She required medical attention but he knew it wouldn't be a good idea to attempt rescue when she had a sword at her throat.

The thieves seemed to find the whole thing humorous. "We have to interrupt this broadcast!" Genie announced as they began their advance.

Kristy was not about to be left out of the fight. While Genie distracted her guard because of his dog pile, football bit, she swung her arm forward and knocked the sword from his hand. "What the-'' the thief began but didn't finish when Kristy jumped up and punched him in the face. He slumped to the ground and passed out cold.

She straightened up and winced at the pain in her side. Kristy tore off the bottom of her robe and wrapped it around her waist tightly, creating a makeshift bandage.

She heard Waheed call out for Aladdin. Hamar had him by the vest once more and was mocking him. Aladdin was fighting with another thief so Kristy ran at Hamar, determined to rescue the boy. However, she wasn't needed it seemed. Carpet flew up and began to tickle Hamar mercifully.

Kristy pulled Waheed free and Carpet scooped up the two of them. He flew off in Aladdin's direction and picked him up as well. Aladdin then stirred them in Hamars direction and spun around him like a 's clothes fell off, leaving him in only his boxers. He covered himself, embarrassed.

"I can see your underwear." Genie laughed as they all flew away. Then his attention turned to Kristy, who was growing pale from the pain. "Hey Al." Genie interrupted Waheed's delighted giggles. Aladdin turned his serious gaze from Waheed and looked at Genie curiously. "I'm gonna fly Kristy back to the palace while you deal with the squirt. Shes not looking so good."

"I'm fine." Kristy rolled her eyes. "It's just a little bit of blood. I've had worse injuries than this before and survived. Ever hear about the car crash I was in back in my dim-" she cut herself off and looked at Waheed warily. "Er my home city? Yeah, it um, it was pretty brutal."

Aladdin shook his head. "Kendra has also explained the advanced medicine and equipment you guys had. It's best if I go ahead and head back to the palace and see a healer."

Kristy sighed in irritation but allowed Genie to pick her up. They raced back to the palace, arriving in record time. Genie flew her straight to the royal healers office. He knocked on the door and she answered quickly. "Hi Mavis, Kristy here got herself stabbed at the Skull and Dagger. Think you could help her out?" He asked with a brilliant smile.

Mavis stepped to the side, allowing them entrance. Genie flew in and gently deposited Kristy on the bed. "While she does her thing, I'm gonna go find my lovely wife. I'm sure she'll want to know what's going on." He informed Kristy.

She groaned. "Tell her it's barely a scratch or she'll freak out. I'm fine though, proper bandage and some rest will have me back on my feet in no time."

Genie saluted her before he zipped out of the room. Kristy laid her head back down and sighed. It was embarrassing enough getting stabbed by some random jerk. Now Kendra was going to waddle in here and become all mother hen like.

Wonderful.

XxRebelWriterxX

Kendra stood on the balcony in her room, staring out into the city of Agrabah. She'd basically been on house arrest for the past week due to her almost frequent Braxton hicks contractions.

More than once she had woken up in the middle of the night because of them. Everytime she did, Genie would freak out because he thought she'd gone into labor. Kendra would have to stop him from getting a healer each time.

Still, she was due at any time. The past nine months had flown by and now she was looking forward to having her little girl out and in her arms.

She also hoped that Genie would stop hovering as much after she'd given birth. Kendra was getting tired of his constantly mother hening her. It was smothering and had caused quite a few arguments to break out between them.

Speaking of Genie, Kendra heard him fly into the room and crash into something. She walked back into the room and giggled when she saw him head first in a vase. "Were you in a hurry, dear?" She asked when he pulled himself free.

He grinned sheepishly at his wife. "I'm always in a hurry to see you, my love."

Kendra snorted before wrapping her arms around her husband. He returned the embrace and kissed the top of her head. Neither of them could believe the amount of butterflies they got around each other, even after being together for a couple of years.

"So uh, Kristy was stabbed today." Genie mentioned. He tried to sound as casual as possible so he would freak her out.

It didn't work. "What! And you're just now mentioning this? Oh my gosh where is she? Is she alright? What happened."

"Kendra, sweet heart, she's okay. You need to calm down. Kristy is with the healer, I can take you to her now. She just had a minor run in with some goons at the Skull and Dagger. Hamar was threatening a young boy so she intervened. He got her while her back was turned."

Kendra put a hand on top of her swollen stomach and bit her lip. "Let me guess, Waheed was trying to be Aladdin again?"

Genie turned into a nail and said, "You nailed it, my dear."

She sighed and shook her head in disappointment. "He's going to get himself in serious trouble one of these days. And I fear that, when that day comes, Aladdin won't get there in time."

Genie poofed back to normal and laid a hand on top of his wife's, smiling sadly. "I know, Al and I both have that same fear. Here's hoping it won't come to pass." He pulled her forward and kissed her gently. "Now come on, let's go see your crazy best friend."

Kendra nodded and allowed her husband to lead her from their bedroom. "So where is my brother?" She asked after they walked a few minutes in silence.

"I believe he was talking to the kid at home. From the look on his face, I know he's gonna give Waheed a lecture. Not sure if he'll listen or not. Aladdin's had this talk with him numerous times and you know how well that's worked."

She did indeed. Kendra has been present more than a handful of times when her brother had to give the hero speech. She was pretty positive his words just went through one ear and out the other.

They arrived at the healers room. When they walked in, Kristy was sitting on the side of the bed, her side freshly bandaged. She was sipping on a glass of water while the healer put away her things. Kristy looked up at the sound of the door opening and gave them a weary smile. "Hey Kendra." She greeted me.

Kendra huffed. "Hey yourself." Then she shook her head. "How is it you're always getting hurt?" She couldn't help but tease.

Kristy stuck out her tongue. "Pretty sure the last time we were here, it was because of you." Everyone winced at the memory and Kendra couldn't help but rub the back of her head.

"Yeah don't remind me."

They conversed for a few more minutes before the healer released Kristy, with the promise that she'd take it easy for a few days. The three of us walked towards the dining hall, it was nearly time to eat dinner. They laughed and joked with one another the entire way there.

When they got there, Aladdin and Jasmine were already seated. The Sultan walked in right behind them. Everyone took their seats and began passing around food. Kendra tried to engage with her family as much as possible, but she could feel her eyes getting heavier and heavier by the second. How could she be so tired when she hadn't done a thing that day.

She must have fallen asleep because the next thing she knew, she was in Genie's arms as he flew her back to their room. He laid her gently in the bed and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight, my love." He whispered to her.

"Goodnight."

The following morning, Kendra once again found herself standing alone on her balcony. Aladdin had run to the Marketplace with Abu, Iago and Genie. Genie had offered to stay behind with her but she urged him to go with her.

She knew he was worried about her going into labor while he was out. However she had Kristy, who was currently sleeping on the settee just inside the balcony doors, and Jasmine. They would stay by her side until Genie got there if necessary. They could also send out the palace guards to find the guys if need be.

So really there was no point for him to be stuck inside like she was. Genie still hesitated until Kendra reminded him how much her brother usually got into trouble and she'd feel safer if he was with him.

Kristy had been awake when she came into her room. However, healing from a stab wound took a lot out of you. It didn't take long for her to start snoring.

Kendra debated on searching for her sister in law but quickly dismissed that thought. Jasmine hadn't been feeling that good the past week so she was most likely sleeping as well. That meant Kendra was basically alone until either Kristy woke up or the guys returned.

"Ugh!" She groaned relentlessly. Kendra was tired of sitting around the palace doing nothing. She was used to going out on adventures everyday. This stationary lifestyle was not for her.

Kendra decided that she needed to get out of the palace for a little bit. The guys would be pissed if they found out but she couldn't bring herself to care. She finally understood why Jasmine had been so eager to leave this place all those years ago.

She walked back inside and grabbed her favorite cloak. She quickly braided her hair, which had nearly grown past her waist after not cutting it since coming to this dimension. Sneaking out of the palace was easy despite her large bulging stomach.

Soon enough, Kendra found herself lost within the bustling crowd of Agrabah market. Everyone around her walked with a purpose, whether it be shopping for goods or hurrying to some random destination.

"Have you seen the giant metal man?"

"Oh yes, It was huge! Taller than all of the buildings here in Agrabah."

"I heard it helped Aladdin defeat a strange minotaur creature. It seems the street rat prince is losing his touch."

Kendra frowned at the strange whispers around her. She had briefly recalled Aladdin mentioning something about a giant man at dinner the night before, but she'd been so tired (and honestly a bit jealous) that she'd hadn't paid too much attention. Now she wish she had so she could understand what was going

"My gold! Someone's stolen my gold! There he goes! Help! Someone stop him! Help!" The sound of a woman yelling snapped Kendra from her thoughts. She turned to its source just in time to nearly be bowled over by a boy running past.

"Hey, stop kid." Kendra shouted after she steadied herself. The boy did not listen so she quickly took off before him. If he needed help, she would be more than happy to take care of him. But stealing someone's money was not the right way to go. Even if she herself had once done so.

She chased him around the corner before they both came to a screeching halt. In front of them was the aforementioned giant metal man. Kendra rolled her eyes. She recognized it as one of Mechanicles robots, considering it was literally a splitting image of him. Could this guy's head get any bigger?

The robot snatched the boy up. He began crying and begging to be let go. "No! I'm no thief, honest!" Kendra had a feeling that something was not quite right here. Perhaps she'd jump to conclusions and this boy wasn't really the culprit. There's plenty of reasons why he'd be running through town.

She noticed her family approaching on Carpet so Kendra ducked into the shadows. A lecture and a babysitter to take her home would be her fate if she were caught. They were all so overprotective of her. It warmed her heart as much as it annoyed her.

"Al, idea. We let Waheed fight the metal guy. Brilliant, no?" Iago laughed. Kendra rolled her eyes, he was always so snarky. Aladdin ignored him and flew up to the robot's eye. Waheed spotted him immediately. Whoever was inside shocked her brother and his two animal companions. "Waheed is the metal guy?" Iago groaned before turning to Aladdin. "How DARE you call great big Waheed a menace? Shame, Shame!"

Waheed was in there? She took a small step closer and was finally able to barely make him out. What in the world was he doing in there? "Waheed, put him down and get out of there! You're gonna hurt someone! You're gonna hurt yourself! That thing is dangerous." Aladdin tried to calmly explain. Waheed wasn't listening, Kendra realized when his face twisted with fury.

He said something to Aladdin but Kendra was too far away to hear. Despite the terror she felt at seeing such a young child in a dangerous machine, Kendra couldn't help but feel sorry for the boy. She knew her brother had a tendency to underestimate people and Waheed felt like he had something to prove.

She just wished he would've picked something less risky and perilous to his and other people's lives.

"Please, please, I'm not a thief!" The child in Waheed's hold practically cried. She was really beginning to think this was all some kind of huge misunderstanding.

Aladdin looked back to Waheed skeptically. He was having the same doubts as his sister. Something about this situation did not add up. " Are you sure he's a thief, Waheed? What if you're wrong?" He asked.

It looked as if Waheed had said something back mockingly. He then approached the lady from earlier, who had come around the corner laughing. Waheed spoke to her but again, Kendra could not hear his words.

The woman laughed. "My- oh, dear, no. It turns out my gold wasn't stolen at all. It was just in the wrong pocket." She pulled out a pouch of gold. "See?"

Then the boy informed Waheed that he was late for dinner. So that's why he'd been running through town. That made sense. Waheed released him and he took off, racing past Kendras hiding spot.

"It's okay, Waheed, no one got hurt." Aladdin tried to reassure a dejected Waheed. " You'll be a fine hero, you're just going about it the wrong way. Now come on down from there."

"Atta boy, Waheed, smart kid!" Iago said before he turned to Aladdin and quietly said. "The moment he steps out we jump him."

Waheed had disappeared from view so Kendra assumed he was getting out of the robot. Satisfied that Aladdin had the situation handle, Kendra turned around and prepared to walk down the alley she was hiding in. It was nice to get out, but she decided it was time to get home. All this walking and worrying had taken it out of her.

She'd made it halfway through when she heard Aladdin shouting. Kendra turned and ran back to the street that she'd left her brother on. She gasped at what she saw. Waheed was not on view but the robot was now moving on it's own. Aladdin had pulled out Genie's lamp and rubbed it. "It's trying to kill us!" The former street rat warned him when he came out of the lamp.

In a flash, Genie was decked out in a concert pianist garb. "Here's a little number I like to call-" He turned into a missile. "-fire one!" He was about to release it when Aladdin stopped him and told him that Waheed was inside. Genie turned back to normal. "Hm, wouldn't want to toast the tot."

"It's Mechanicles who's controlling it. Waheed is stuck inside." Aladdin explained before the robot stepped on Genie. "Carpet!" Aladdin shouted. Carpet grabbed Aladdin and flew away, the robot just barely missing them.

Kendra turned and ran after everybody else. She hid in the shadows and watched as the robot broke down the city gate in pursuit of Carpet, Aladdin and Genie. She desperately wished there was something she could do to help. However, she could go into labor at any second and fighting a giant robot probably wasn't the smartest thing to do.

"Genie, you take Mechanicles. I'm going in after Waheed." Aladdin told Genie. They separated. Aladdin and Carpet approached the robot. However, they couldn't get close. The second Carpet did, fire shot out of the robots eyes, burning Carpet. "That's my boy!"Mechanicles cheered.

"My super Genie sense tells me-" Genie said when he saw Mechanicles. "-guest villain at one o'clock! You're mine, pencil-necked Greek!" Genie grinned as he approached Mechanicles. The robot however, used his hand as a missile, sending Genie flying. "We'll meet again! This time, I'll-" Genie shouted in the distance before he completely disappeared.

Kendra watched him go before turning to where Mechanicles was flying off with Scooter victoriously. She ran after them quickly, determined that she would not lose them. Mechanicles was writing on a scroll when he came to a stop. "Dispense with Genie, check! Huh?

The robot suddenly stopped and hunched over. Aladdin, who was behind a rock, shouted at Carpet to go now and they approached the robot. Mechanicles cranked a metal ladybug, then released it. "Go! Aid your brothers!"

The ladybug flew to the robot and cranked the beetles. The robot stood tall. Aladdin jumped off of Carpet and kicked the beetle on top of the hatch. If flew off, but returned before Aladdin could free Waheed.

Mechanicles was about to go knock Aladdin off when he saw Kendra hiding in the shadows. With a smirk, he directed Scooter to her and picked her up quickly. "I suggest you leave Junior alone, Aladdin, or else your sister will be in trouble." Mechanicles grinned.

Kendra struggled against him when the hood of her cloak fell back, revealing her identity to her brother. "Kendra? What are you doing here?"Aladdin asked in shock.

"Aw Al, you know I don't like missing all the fun." Kendra smiled sheepishly at her brother. Aladdin groaned and fell onto Carpet, allowing Mechanicles past. That was when Mechanicles noticed Waheed inside the robot. " … there's a little boy inside Junior? NOT ALLOWED!" He shouted.

Mechanicles threw Aladdin off the robot. "No!" Kendra shouted fearfully. However, Carpet caught him before he could hit the ground.

Mechanicles held tight to Kendras arm, pulling her inside the robot. She swatted at his arm but he paid her no mind. Kendra couldn't help but wonder how one so scrawny could be this strong! It was totally unfair.

Then out of nowhere, Kendra felt a pressure that started in her back and moved to the front of her lower abdomen. It reminded her of her braxtons hicks' contractions but these were different, stronger. It nearly brought her to her knees when Mechanicles released her. She let out a cry of pain at the same time her captor asked who was in Juniors brain. They hadn't heard her over Mechanicles loud, annoying voice. He stomped forward and shoved Waheed to the side.

Kendra couldn't pay attention after that. She felt something dripping down her legs and heard a loud splash. "Shit. Shit! My water just broke!" She gasped, finally catching the attention of the other two. A part of her felt bad for cursing in front of a child, but a larger part was in too much pain to care.

"What do you mean you're water just broke? You can't have the baby here! It's so unsanitary and messy." Mechanicles face twisted with disgust.

"Somehow I don't think the baby cares." Kendra snapped at him and then cried out when another contraction hit. They were coming in fast, faster than she honestly expected. However her family was known for having very short labors.

Waheed looked between her and Mechanicles. He then suddenly pushed the Greek villain to the side so he could take control of the robot. "Hey!" Mechanicles growled but before he could take a step, Kendra let out a wail. "I need a doctor now!" She practically demanded. Mechanicles and Waheed both looked stumped. The contraction passed, leaving Kendra to pant against the wall. Then she frowned. "Um, who's controlling the robot?"

The other two seemed to realize simultaneously that they were still moving. Mechanicles rushed to the controls and tried to stop the giant robot, but it was futile. "The controls are jammed! I don't have any way to stop Junior from moving!"

"Um, that's not our only problem guys! Look!" Waheed pointed out the window. They were heading straight for a cliff.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me!" Kendra growled, seething in anger. Her heart was hammering in her chest. She was about to die just when her baby decided it was time to meet the world. "This is what I get for leaving the palace. I would go in labor in a fucking death trap."

For once, Mechanicles was worried about someone other than himself. In some weird way, he really did care about Kendra. He knew her heart belonged to someone else but that didn't mean he wanted her to die. "We need to brace ourselves for impact. You, small child, we need to surround Kendra and hold her still. Maybe we can take the brunt of the impact instead of her." Mechanicles ordered. Waheed nodded and quickly did as directed.

"What no, Waheed is just a chi-" Kendra started but was cut off when another contraction hit. "Ow, ow, ow." She cried out.

Waheed tightened his hold on her. "It's okay, Princess Kendra. It's what heros do. They protect people."

Mechanicles cleared his throat. "Yes and while I am actually, in fact, a villain, I could never let anything happen to you Kendra. Or your baby." He held onto her just as tightly as Waheed. "Now then, brace yourselves."

Suddenly they were weightless, the robot had tipped over the side of the cliff. Kendra closed her eyes and held her stomach protectively in her hands. They crashed hard onto the ground.

Kendra's head slammed into the wall. For a moment she saw stars and there was a loud ringing in her ears. Someone was calling her name but she couldn't seem to concentrate. Pain seemed to be the only thing she could comprehend in that moment. She almost wished she would just pass out already. She got her wish when everything finally went black.

There was a flash of light.

She squinted her eyes but everything was still so blurry. The world seemed to spin around her, making her feel nauseous.

"Kendra sweetheart, hold on." Genie's voice was like a whisper in her ear. She tried to find him, to tell him she was there. But everything felt too heavy. Everything hurt too much. "Just hold on."

Everything went dark again.

XxRebelWriterxX

When Kendra woke up again, it was in a dark room. It took her a moment to comprehend what was going on. Her mind was fuzzy and her eyelids were heavy to open.

As soon as she was completely awake though, she sat up and gasped. Something was wrong. Her hands flew to her now flat stomach. The baby was gone. She felt the rising panic as she threw her blankets off her body and tried to stand. Kendra falls backs down, crying out in pain. That was when she noticed her stomach had been bandaged up. It was splotched with a dark color, which she immediately knew was blood.

The door flew open, blinding her from the sudden light. "No, no Princess, you must lay down. I had to perform an emergency surgery." The healer had been the one to enter the room. She gently pushed Kendra back into the bed.

"My baby! Where is my baby?" Kendra begged for information. The healer refused to look in her eyes. Instead she focused on removing the blood stained bandages so she could replace them. This immediately had Kendra on edge. "Healer Mavis, please. I need to know where she is. Is she okay?" Kendra tried again pleading. Something wasn't right, she could feel it in her heart.

"Perhaps you should talk to your husband." Mavis finally spoke. She tied the bandages tightly before pushing herself away from Kendra. "I will go get him."

Mavis walked out. Kendra pushed herself back up so that she could sit on the side of the bed. She gently rubbed her bandaged stomach. It was a weird feeling, no longer having a baby there. She missed the fluttering she felt when her little girl performed acrobats in the womb. Now it was just empty. Kendra felt hollow. Something had gone terribly wrong, that much was obvious. She wondered where her baby was, Kendra needed to see her.

Genie walked in the room, but he didn't meet Kendra's worried gaze. There was an emptiness in his eyes that she'd never seen before. His shoulders were slumped and there wasn't a bright smile on his face. Not like there should be when one becomes a new father.

Kendra felt the tears begin to prickle in her eyes. "Genie?" She whispered softly. He looked up and she gasped. He looked broken. Kendra had never seen such a tormented look on his face, not even when her brother had nearly betrayed him and nearly not freed him. "No." Her lip trembled, "Please no."

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. The baby, he didn't make it."

"He?"

Genie just nodded and Kendra felt her entire universe crash all around her. She let out an agonized wail. Genie flinched at the noise, but he didn't approach her. Instead he sunk to the floor and wrapped his arms around his knees. Tears began streaming down both their faces. Neither one of them moved to comfort the other.

In that moment, they were both consumed with so much grief that they hadn't realized something had changed between them. A rift was created and it was unclear if they would ever be able to work through it. All they knew at that time was that they lost their beautiful baby boy.

And that things would never be the same again.

Wow this took way longer to do then I expected it to. I mean, I already had this written out but I ended up hating most of it. So it was like ninety percent rewritten. I'm not sure how much I like it though. It feels kind of rushed. Let me know what you think and I might end up editing it again.

Anyways if you've read this before, then you expected this to happen. If not, well I'm sorry for the angst. This chapter was planned out way before I even tackled this project. Them losing the baby was the plan from the very beginning. I hate angst so much but I'm addicted to reading and writing it! And poor Genie! He's the happiest Disney character ever created but I needed to break him as much as I possibly could.

And guys, the angst is not over. I repeat, it is not over. They just lost their baby. Their relationship is going to be tested in ways they never expected. However, this is a romance, it will have a happy ending. Just keep that in mind as you read the next few chapters.

Since I'll most likely hate how I wrote the next chapter, it might be a minute before it gets posted as well. It will get done though, I promise you that. I've finally gotten the writing bug again and I'm gonna try hard not to lose it. See you next time!

And please, leave me a little review if you feel like it!
