Part Thirty Two
Jackie wakes and slowly turns to face a sleeping hyde , smiling lightly over at him as she lightly strokes his cheek. He looked so peaceful and young when he is sleeping, no worry lines or anger making Jackie's heart flutter,
"Doll why are you staring?" Hyde replies his eyes still closed ,
"How did you know?"
"Good instinct doll" Jackie smiles impressed as she snuggled closer into him feeling his hand begin to stroke her hair,
"You was flat out by the time I got to bed last night "
"Yeah I was more tired than I realised. Did Amber settle ?"
"She did. I thought that maybe I could take the day off and we can have a family day together!" Jackie beams as she looks at hyde grinning,
"Oh Steven I would love that!" Jackie kisses him both deepening the kiss.
Donna enters the Foreman's kitchen, smiling happily over at everyone as they eat their breakfast,
"Good morning donna help yourself to food"
"Thanks. I have just heard back from my mom and she is more than happy for us to come down!"
"Oh yay! Did you hear that red ! We going on a family vacation!" Kitty and donna hug excitedly,
"Oh god kill me now eric"
"Oh red don't spoil this for me! "
"I wouldn't dream of it kitty "
Jackie carries amber downstairs as they enter the kitchen and places her into her chair , Steven strokes her cheek making amber laugh lightly. Jackie begins to make breakfast whilst Steven gives amber her bottle,
"So what you have in mind for today?" Hyde thinks before replying,
"How bout a picnic at the park. As a kid I never had a picnic and I always thought that I would never get that. You know a happy family who do normal family stuff "
"Oh Steven. That's a lovely idea. First picnic for all three of us "
"What? You never had a picnic?" Jackie shakes her head tears in her eyes,
"Dad was always working and mommy was out all the time. I mainly played by myself " hyde swallowed the lump in his throat, suddenly realising why she was so lonely when she started hanging out with them. Oh man she was more like him than he realised! He puts on the tough guy act and she puts on the mean girl act. Hyde places the bottle onto the table and walks over to his wife and wraps his arms around her just silently holding her.
Donna, Eric and fez all sat in the basement listening to music when kelso enters carrying Betsy,
"Hey guys "
"Hey kelso. Uh listen I am really sorry..."
"Say no more donna its cool . Last night I spoke with brooke and we are cool"
"Oh great. So your day with Betsy?"
"Yeah. Brooke has to work"
"Can I hold her?" Donna asks smiling over at Betsy,
" sure. Go on Betsy goto auntie donna " Donna takes Betsy and coos over her ,
"So what's this about california?" Kelso asks sitting into a chair,
"Yeah mom says its cool we stay with her. Are you coming?"
"Of course we are!"
"We?!"
"Yeah brooke and Betsy. I want to walk her on the beach like Jackie and hyde are doing with amber. I don't want to miss out " donna sighs,
"Would brooke be up for that?"
"She was when I asked her last night!"
"Oh uh great "
Jackie and Hyde sit on the blanket Jackie placing the pram beside them in the shade, while hyde sets the food out infront of them.
"Its so lovely here Steven " hyde wraps an arm around her,
"It is. Drink?" Jackie nods smiling happily as hyde opens two bottles of pop before both lying down together, while amber lay fast asleep in her pram.
Donna and kitty are fussing over Betsy as the boys are outside playing basketball,
" I cannot wait for this vacation! Spending time together like a normal family " yeah. Plus I get to celebrate the engagement with my mom "
"Yeah sweetie you must miss her honey"
"Yeah. But I can always visit her"
"Yeah and you know if you need anything im always here for you "
"I know thank you kitty. I do love both you and red!" Kitty hugs donna.
Hyde and Jackie lay in each others arms enjoying the silence ,
"Steven?"
"Yeah doll"
"I am glad to share my first picnic with you and amber "
"Yeah me too. This is certainly way better than I imagined " hyde kisses her head when amber starts fussing slightly,
"Oh dear she must be getting hungry. Steven pass me her bottle in the bag"
"Sure thing doll" Steven hands her a bottle of milk as she lightly picks up amber and begins to feed her,
"Jackie you know what I am sitting here and I feel for the first time in ages truly blessed " Jackie smiles over at him,
"I know what you mean. Amber is the most amazing gift I've ever gotten!"
"Yeah plus fun getting her" he smirks making Jackie laugh lightly,
"Steven. I thought that maybe we should get her godparents. You know just incase..." hyde nods frowning slightly,
"You okay?"
"Sorry just thinking about the crash...I thought that I lost you I don't ever want that to happen again! But your right we should!" She lightly kisses ambers head as she takes his hand,
"I am not going anywhere Steven. I love you and amber more than life! Your so important to me " they kiss before both fuss over amber who is now happily sat on Jackie's lap.
