A few minutes later, Vic returned to Lance's apartment after thinking about what to do to protect his empire buildings around the city and to keep the Mendez goons from destroying it. He eventually decided to just see Lance and find out what he was thinking.

Vic walked inside the apartment and opened the door slowly. He looked up ahead to find Phil armed with a couple of pistols.

"Comrade!" Phil shouted at the top of his lungs. "Come here!"

"What're you doing here?" Vic asked.

"I heard there was gonna be a party," Phil answered. "So I brought fireworks!"

"Where's Lance?" Vic asked him.

"I love that guy!" Phil bellowed. "Yeah!"

Just then, Vic heard a knock on the door and walked over to answer it. He opened it and saw that it was Umberto, who walked right inside the apartment room. Lance and one of the Cubans were right behind him as well.

"There he is!" he said with a big grin on his face. "Mr. Victor Vance, the punk who needs our help."

Vic just stared awkwardly at the Cuban-American. "What?" he asked.

"You grown any cojones yet, lady boy?" Umberto asked him pointing at Vic's crotch.

Lance looked at Vic as he walked inside the room as well. "Yo, bro," he called walking past Vic.

"Come here, Vic," Umberto told him giving Vic a bear hug.

"Ah, wassup, man?" Vic asked gently shoving Umberto off of him.

"Your brother, man," Umberto told him. "At least one of you who has something up here and a lot down here, huh?" He chuckled as he pointed at Vic's crotch.

"So if you guys are ready, let's do this," Lance announced to everyone.

"Hey, Lance, come here, man," Vic called to his brother.

Lance walked up to Vic to see what he wanted to tell him. "Yo, bro, wassup?" Lance asked.

"What the hell is going on?" Vic asked back.

"We're about to get hit by those Mendez guys," Lance explained. "Thought we could use some of your buddies to crash the party."

"What?" Vic asked once again.

"Help out," Lance answered concisely. "What, did I do wrong again?"

"No, no, no, no, man," Vic told him suddenly smiling. "For once, you did very right. Let's go deal with these pricks."

Lance gave Vic a high five. "Yeah!" Lance cheered. "Let's pop!" He let out a chuckle.

Vic smiled, as for the first time ever, Lance had actually done something good for once. He had never been so proud of his brother, and that was saying a lot given what Lance was and how much trouble he caused in the past due to his stupidity.

They all headed outside, with Umberto, Phil, and the other Cubans hopping inside a Rancher parked next to Lance's Infernus and driving away afterwards.

"We should spread out and cover as much ground as we can," Vic announced. "Let me know if you need any help."

"Wait up," Lance told Vic walking to the trunk of the Infernus. "I'm gonna need some serious artillery for this gig."

Lance then opened the trunk to pull out an assault rifle, an M4 Carbine. "Hello, Mr. M4!" Lance uttered. "M-FOR-MO-THER-FUCKA! That's right! Let's go!"

He grabbed his weapon and hopped inside the passenger seat of the vehicle as Vic started the engine. He drove around Washington Beach to see which of the empires were under attack.

They came across the first of one of the drug empires right ahead of the street at Washington Beach. There they were, the Mendez goons trying to shoot down their empire. So Vic and Lance hopped out of the Infernus and got their weapons ready.

"My name is Lance Vance!" Lance shouted boisterously. "It's time to dance! Simon says eat lead and play dead! I'm lean and I'm mean, and I'm here to clean!"

Vic just laughed at Lance's rhyming braggadocio and just kept his mouth shut as he fired at the Mendez goons. He and Lance fired bullets into as many of the goons as they can. One by one, each of them were taking multiple bullets to the chest and head, and they all dropped dead as a result.

"Come on, Vic," Lance announced running to the parked Infernus. "We've got 'em on the run!"

Lance hopped inside the passenger's seat, and Vic hopped into the driver's seat, starting the engine as well. He drove up ahead to spot more of the Mendez goons running after them. As Vic drove and Lance turned up the radio, which played "Beat It" by Michael Jackson, he and Lance performed a drive-by on the goons, killing each and every one of them.

"Man, we are the badasses on the block!" Lance bragged loudly. "Let's get to the next ass-kicking. Did you see me taking 'em down?!"

"We all saw them," Vic replied as he continued driving around the city.

"I'm the black killa from Manila!" Lance boasted vociferously. "The Manila Blilla! The Blanila!"

"You're a blidiot," Vic shot back. "Now shut up."

He made a left turn on the end of the road of Ocean Beach and drove up ahead onto a bridge leading to the western island, turning right as he made his was on the long, straight road. He was enjoying the ride while Michael Jackson was playing on the radio. It was the perfect anthem to scare off the Mendez goons.

"Vic, do not change that station!" Lance told Vic turning up the volume on the radio. "This song is perfect for our mission!"

So Vic kept the radio on and made a left turn on the end of the road of Little Havana, where more of the Mendez goons were trying to take over yet another empire building. Vic drove up closer, and he and Lance did a drive-by on them.

"Listen to my man Michael, you punk ass thugs!" Lance shouted as the chorus of the song of the radio came up. "Make like a baker and beat it!"

He and Vic fired their bullets at the gang as they drove around the area. The rest of the members of the Vance Crime Family on foot came around to fire at the Mendez goons as well. It was a thrilling shootout: the Vance Crime Family on foot and the brothers performing a drive-by on the Mendez goons while Michael Jackson was playing on the radio. Vic and Lance had never had so much fun.

"I'm the Lance Vance-erator!" Lance boasted once again. "Ain't nothing can hurt me! I'll put you all in a Lance Vance trance!" They're running for it. It's time to turn up the pain!"

After all the goons were finally dead, Vic drove around to find more business empires to defend. "We rolled over them like a big, bad bowling ball!" Lance cheered. "Let's find another lane of pain. Come on. Aw, man, this is easy."

"We've been lucky so far," Vic told him. "Stop being such a dick, "Lance-erator"."

"I killed more than you," Lance protested. "I should be in charge of this outfit."

"Bite me," Vic shot back.

He continued driving around Little Havana for more business empires to defend. He then drove straight ahead to find the goons trying to take over a high-rolling building, with the Vance Crime Family on foot defending it.

"Let's get after them!" Lance announced.

He and Vic performed another drive-by on the Mendez goons as the rest of the members of the Vance Crime Family fired at the goons a well. The goons were dropping dead from every gunshot wound they were taking from the Vance brothers and the rest of the members of their gang.

"Look at them run!" Lance bragged. "We're kicking their asses! I can't believe it. We're winning!"

Michael Jackson's "Beat It" lasted all the way to the end right when the Vance Crime Family murdered every goon trying to take over the empire building. When every goon was now dead, Vic and Lance hopped out of the vehicle to check the empire building. Lance reached into his pocket to check his pager.

"I just received a message from Umberto and Phil," Lance announced. "They've been kicking asses, just like us."

"You mean we did it?" Vic asked. "We won?"

"Yeah!" Lance replied. "The Mendez brothers can kiss my ass. They thought they could take us down."

"This ain't over yet," Vic declared calmly.

"They're finished," Lance replied walking to the Infernus. "We should take the fight to them, and I know just the man to make it happen."

Lance started the engine of the vehicle and drove away as Vic watched. He sighed in relief. Even though the war still wasn't quite over, he at least was able to defend his business empire. He then heard his pager beeping. He pulled it off of his belt to read it. It was from Reni.

"Darling!" the message read. "I need you Vic. I need you now, more than ever. Come to me, my Nubian Adonis... "

Vic sighed. He wasn't in the mood to talk to Reni again. But he wanted to get it over with as quick as possible. So he hopped inside a Sentinel XS driven by one of the Mendez goons parked in front of the street, started the engine, and drove off.
