Chapter 40 Long Live the King

Sora's POV

"I am not weak", I stated. "My friends are my power!"

With that...I kicked the Masters of Masters and got out of his grip.

Then...as I thought of my friends...I shot a bright bream of light that covered everything.

When the light disappeared...the Master of Masters was gone!

In his place...was the Crystal Heart!

I walked up to it...and it absorbed itself into me.

"Sora", I heard Kairi say.

Then...I turned around right as she tackled me into a hug which resulted in me falling to the ground!

We both laughed as we sat up.

Then...I smiled at her before putting my hand on her cheek.

"Thank you Kairi", I said.

"For what", Kairi asked in confusion.

"For reminding me where my strength truly comes from."

That Night

I walked into the throne room, where all my friends were dressed up in fancy outfits.

I walked up to the throne...where King Meishu was sitting on.

He sat up when I got to him and I kneeled down.

Then...he put a crown on my head.

"Do you Sora, promise to protect the people of this land", he asked.

"I do", I replied.

"Well then", King Meishu started. "As one of the guardians of the Crystal Heart, I am very honoured to officially dub you as the True King!"

Alexa's POV

Well everybody was partying inside the ballroom, I was standing on the balcony.

"Hey there Lexi", Demyx greeted as he walked out of the room and onto the balcony. "What are you doing here? You're missing the party!"

"I just needed some air", I replied.

"You okay", Demyx asked in concern.

"I'm fine", I replied. "I just...I don't know what happened to Xigbar."

"Don't worry kid", I heard somebody reassure me. "I'm good."

After I heard this I turned around...and saw Xigbar!

"Xigbar", I said in shock before walking up to said person. "Where have you been?"

"Do you really think that I was going to get involved in that mess", Xigbar asked. "It was much more fun just to watch from the sidelines."

"Well", I started. "I'm just glad to see that you're okay, but are you going to do now that the Master of Masters is gone?"

"I have absolutely no idea", Xigbar replied. "First things first, I gotta go and tell the Foretellers that their master is gone."
