Severus was seething, how dare that girl do that to him. He grabbed his pack and silently cursed himself for underestimating her speed. He began to walk down the hall, keeping towards the wall so he wouldn't be noticed or interrupted; the last thing he wanted right now was a row with those four dunderheads.

He kept his head down as he walked towards the dungeons, his mind whirling. He had to figure out a way to get that insolent girl back, she needed to learn that you don't attack a Slytherin and walk away unscathed.

A cruel smile played over his lips, he knew just what he was going to do, and the best part was that she would never see it coming.

Severus glared at the Headmaster as he pulled his bags through the floo, cursing the light flames as they licked his hands, tickling him slightly. Once everything was through and laid in a pile next to Dumbledore's desk, Severus watched as the headmaster brought out a knut and laid it on the desk. Taking out his wand, Severus heard an incantation being muttered, Dumbledore was making a portkey no doubt. Severus waited until the Headmaster beckoned Severus over to the desk; the trunk's floating behind him. Without a word Severus placed one hand on his trunks and the other onto the portkey. He felt that sickening tug from behind his navel and closed his eyes, waiting for the trip to be over.

After what seemed like an eternity, Severus felt his feet planted on solid ground. He opened a tentative eye and found himself inside of what seemed to be a house. He opened his eyes completely and turned to face Dumbledore.

"So, is there where I will be staying?"

"Yes, Severus, this is where you will be staying."

Severus nodded but kept his gaze on the Headmaster, not wanting to take in his surroundings until he was left alone, he didn't want to mask what he thought about this place. "Headmaster, don't you think it would be wise to perform the charm?"

Seeming to come out of a haze, Dumbledore nodded his head and promptly raised his wand, and began moving it around in a complex pattern, muttering something under his breath. Severus felt a slight tingle, not completely unlike that experienced when calling through the floo, rise up through his body, starting at the tips of his toes, to the very tip top of his head.

Then the sensation faded away as quick as lightning. Severus looked at Dumbledore who was smiling, a sad smile, one that didn't quite reach his eyes. The two stood there in silence for a moment before Dumbledore nodded his head, "Well Severus, if you would please hand me your wand, thank you, and here is your new one. It won't work as well as your old one, but I believe it will be adequate, though, do try to restrain from using it to much, just incase the Ministry finds out."

Severus simply nodded, "Yes Headmaster."

Dumbledore let out a sigh, "Well Severus, I guess I will be going now to allow you to get acquainted with your new home. I will contact you later, goodbye."

"Goodbye Headmaster."

Severus watched as Dumbledore grabbed the portkey once more and vanished from sight. Taking in a deep breath, Severus now began to look around his new home. He cringed at the very thought of him living in this place for an extended period of time. He wasn't even in the same country; he was in the god forsaken United States! 'Barbarians, the lot of them. Even the purebloods here have no sense of manners or courtesy.' He looked around the room he was now in, and knew that he would have to make changes, immediately. It seemed he was in a living room, the walls were stark white, and there was a door on the wall right in front of him, surrounded by two long windows with white curtains covering them. To the left side of him was a wall lined with a long bookcase, empty of course, but huge. It would no doubt be able to house most of the ones that he had brought along. To the right of him, were a staircase and a hallway, both covered in white. Severus turned around to face the one wall he had not yet seen in the room, and grimaced. There was a single plain white couch sitting against the wall. Rolling his eyes, he walked down the hallway to where the kitchen was.

Unlike the previous room, the first thing Severus did raise his eyebrow in question. One half of the room, the side to his left, was a simple table and chairs, meant to be his dinning room, but to the right of him, was a room full of nothing but muggle contraptions, or so he thought. Truth be told, Severus had never really been in a kitchen before, except of course, the one in Grimuald place, though he had never taken much notice of the room, as he was to busy keeping his eye on Black. When he had been growing up, the cooking had always been left to the house elves before, and after he had left his parent's home at eighteen, he had lived at Hogwarts. He took a tentative step towards the strange area, when something caught his eye to his left. There, sitting on the table, was a book. Raising his eyebrow once again, he stepped over the book, and tried not to roll his eyes as he read the title, Idiot's Guide to the Common Kitchen. It seemed that Dumbledore had thought ahead. Severus took the book and left the room, vowing to explore it a bit more at another time. He walked back down the hall and into the living room and grabbed his things, levitating them up the stairs where he presumed his room would be. It seemed that Severus was correct. After his trek up the stairs, he found himself in another hallway, three doors to the right of him, and two to the left.

He grabbed the handle closest to him on the right, and opened the door. He grimaced yet again. There was a dresser against the right wall, a desk to the left, and a bed covered in white sheets, the walls were white too, just like the rest of the house. Groaning to himself he put down his trunks and moved to the room right next to that one. It was a study, two walls covered in book shelves, and another wall containing another desk and yet another white couch. He moved to the room adjacent to the study, and found another identical bedroom. Severus wondered for a moment whether Dumbledore wanted to put another person in the house with him, but quickly dismissed the idea, who else would Dumbledore need to hide anyway? Severus crossed the Hall and walked in the door. It was a small room, with two strange white machines with odd knobs on them, and one of the strange contraptions had an odd circular door cut into it. Severus shook his head and resigned himself to ask Dumbledore about them the next time he showed up. Severus went to the last door and opened it to find a simple, white, bathroom. There was a stand up shower, two sinks' and a toilet, nothing to fancy.

Sighing, Severus returned to the room he had deemed as his and began to pack, praying that the war would end soon, he didn't know how long he could stand living in this place.
