"I know it was an accident Sam, but you should know better than to have Danny enter an unactive portal with no idea how it works." Damn finished making the goth look down.
Damn sighs, he could only scold her for her actions, but his boss will do more. He turns a saw the others was waiting for them to finish.
"Sam, You might have made a great hero that we follow but not paying attention to dangers that could happen, was a stupid move. I can only scold at you but when my boss hears of this, you might need to be ready. He won't give out a light punishment." He said.
Sam stays quite. She knew Damn was a demon and he was just doing his job. She sighs and nods.
"One last thing, Control your jealously. Danny has the right to be with who he wants. He's not a trophy." Damn said before heading up to the others.
"So?" Danny asked.
"I can't do anything to her but she knows she is in trouble," Damn said.
"Now that brings the question, what are we going to do with her?" Witcha asked.
"It's clear she can't come with us," Leo said.
"True, but she can't stay here." Vampirella agrees.
"Then allow me to take her."
Everyone turns and saw Alucard step up now looking better than before.
"Alucard!" Slimy said.
"How do you feel?" Vampirella asked him.
"A little sleep and blood do wonder too you. I'm fine, thank you." Alucard said before smiling at Vampirella.
"And congratulations Vampirella. Carmilla wasn't exactly trusted worthy in my father's army. She's been after my father's throne since she first appears in the castle." He told her.
"Power-hungry. I hate those types." Danny said remembering Vlad.
"As do we." Leo agrees.
"However, I'm afraid the next one will be your biggest challenge. Out of all the generals of my father's army, this one has been by his side since he first became a vampire. You have heard his name before, Death." Alucard said.
"Death?" Danny asked a bit confuse as the others gasp in shock.
"DEATH?!" They shouted.
"The one Monster that watches over dead souls if they don't find their way to heaven or hell? That Death?!" Damn shouted.
"What, what?" Danny asked.
"I see you know him by another name Danny. The Grimm Reaper." Alucard told him.
"WHAT?!" Danny shouted.
"Why he is working for Dracula?! Don't tell me that he loyal to him!" Leo asked.
"I'm afraid so," Alucard said.
"This bad. Out of all the monsters in the world, Death is one you should avoid at all costs!" Witcha said.
Sam looks surprised and looks at Danny.
"Danny, maybe you and the others should leave. I actually saw Death a few times when I was a vampire. I don't think it would be a wise idea to meet him." Sam told him.
Danny looks at the ground. Death, the Grimm Reaper. Just about everyone fears him. From what he could see from his friends, they too fear him. Danny took a breath and sighs.
"Facing Death is the last thing anyone wants but... we have too." He said shocking everyone but Alucard.
"What?! Why Danny? Don't know what will happen when you met him?!" Sam shouted.
"I told Lisa that I'll deliver a message to Dracula!" Danny said surprising Alucard this time.
"You... meet my mother?" He asked.
"Yes, when Carmilla "kill" me, I met her. Almost mistook her as Vampirella but we had a talk and she wants me to deliver her words to him. If I don't, then I'm letting her down." Danny said.
Alucard smiles. It was just like his mother. She loves his father no matter what.
"Alucard, she even told me to tell you something," Danny said.
"What is it?" He asked.
"She said, she happy that you doing your best to help your father. She is happy that you are keeping people safe and follow what she told you. She loves you, Adrian." Danny said.
Alucard smiles and looks up at the ceiling. He stood like that for a few seconds before looking that the others.
"Thank you." He said and Danny nodded.
"So you're going to face Death?" Leo asked him.
"Might as well, no one can avoid it forever," Danny said.
The others look at each and nodded.
"Alright then, we might as well get moving," Damn said.
"You guys sure?" Danny asked them, knowing they were afraid of Death.
"As you said, we can't avoid death forever. Might as well face him." Vampirella said.
Danny smiles and held out his fist. The others held out theirs, showing they will back each other up.
Death floated alone in the room, he knew Carmilla fell and he was next. The boy was interesting to say at least. He already faces death and lives. True, he had no part of the boy becoming a half, but he senses a young soul near its end and was going to collect when he was stopped by his brother.
"You do know you can't take his soul."
Death turns around and came face to face with Clockwork.
"You might have stopped me last time, but I won't let you interfere again." He said.
"Death, Daniel is far too important to the world. Even the Demon lords declare him too important to be taken. Remove him and you doom the world." Clockwork said.
"You seem to care a lot about him. Tell me, why is he important to the world." Death asked him.
"Daniel time has not yet come, Death. I was tasked to watch over him, by the Observants." Clockwork said.
"Augh, those guys?! Bunch of lazy jerks. And they wonder why I refuse their offer to sit with them." Death groans.
"I know. They wanted me to be you when they wanted Daniel to be killed." Clockwork said.
"I said this before, and I'll say it again, why are you following them?" Death said.
"Who said I am?" Clockwork smiles.
"You and your riddles. No wonder mom likes you more." Death said.
"She loves us both Death. You know that." Clockwork said.
Death turns away and Clockwork just watches him leave.
"Get in my way again and I won't hold back, brother." Death said.
"Either would I, brother." Clockwork said.
Once Alucard left with Sam, the Monster Heroes start to move on, they open a door and saw some gears moving around.
"Huh?" Danny asked as he looks up.
"We must be in a clocktower," Leo said.
"A clocktower, there's always a damn clocktower!" Damn groans.
"Damn?" Slimy asked worry.
"When you live as long as I have, some of the souls you chase try to hide in a Clocktower. When you see one, you see them all." Damn said.
"Bad memories?" Danny asked.
"Not the kind Demons would enjoy." Damn groans.
"It might be hard for us to fly. We might have to climb up on the gears." Witcha said.
"Agree. And we better be careful. One wrong move and it's game over for some of us." Leo said.
The group starts to climb up some stairs and hop on a few gears. Slimy mistime her jump and got crushed between two gears. Luckily, she was slime and pull herself together. Damn notices a gear broke loose and was falling towards them and quickly melts it with his hellfire. As they climb, Danny was shocked to see a medusa head appear in front of him and he almost fell off the gear he was on. Luckily, Slimy caught him as Leo knock the head away.
"Thanks, that thing came out of nowhere," Danny said.
"Was that Medusa?" Vampirella asked.
"Didn't Slimy take care of her?" Witcha added.
"I did, but the face looks wrong." Slimy answer.
"So what about those faces?" Danny asked making the group look.
They were surrounded by tons of Medusa Heads that stare at them. Each member stood ready as the heads charge at them. Danny, Witcha, and Damn all shot some of them from the air but switch to fighting them when they got close. Danny punch one head before grabbing another one and threw it into another head. Vampirella dodges a few heads that charge at her before grabbing two and slams them together. Witcha grab a few with her magic and threw them into some gears, causing them to get crushed. Leo just grabs whichever head came close to him and crushes it. Slimy was having a bit of fun, grabbing two heads, and bang them against each other over and over again. Damn mostly burns the heads that came close to him.
The Medusa heads then back off leaving the group alone. They all sigh and turn to Slimy who was stilling banging two heads together.
"Slimy..." Vampirella smiles while shaking her head.
"Well, she is a newborn slime." Witcha reminds them.
"So she still a baby," Leo added.
"I'M NOT A BABY!" Slimy yelled.
"Relax Slimy, we need to keep moving," Damn told her.
Slimy nods and threw the two bloody heads away.
They kept climbing until they found a door and open it. They were shocked to see Death waiting for them.
"So, the famous Monster Heroes are here at last." He said as he faces them.
"Death," Danny said.
"Welcome, I must congrats you all for making this far. I thought only the Belmonts could get here. But you six have proved that you are much more then it appears." He said.
"So are you here to stop us?" Damn asked.
"No, I'm interested in you, boy." Death said and pointed at Danny.
"Me?" Danny asked.
"Yes, I was on my way to collect your soul because your death had come. Sadly, my brother had to get in the way and let you became what you are." Death said.
"Brother?" Danny asked again.
"He knows you well. He was tasked to watch over you." Death said.
"Wait! Clockwork?! He's your bother?" Danny asked.
"Indeed. But now is not the time to talk about family. I have a test for the six of you." Death said.
Each of them places their questions aside and stood ready for anything.
"From what I saw, you six took down each general because they all underestimate you. Tell me, how do you plan on beating something that fights like you?" Death said before throwing up his hand and made six coffins rise up from the ground.
Each of them stood ready before the coffin lids fell off and were shocked to see themselves. Death floated in the air and looks at them.
"If you can defeat yourselves then maybe you are worth meeting my master." Death laughs and disappears.
The group watched as each of their doppelgängers step out of the coffin and face them. That when Slimy notices something.
"Wait, I get Vampirella, Leo, and Witcha. But how did he make Danny, Damn, and me?" She asked.
"We can worry about that later. Just be ready!" Danny said as he looks at his doppelgänger.
Both groups stood ready before charging at each other.
Danny and his doppelgänger caught each other hands and started to push. Danny could tell that it was just a strong as him and its green eyes glow with power. It then pulls one hand away and threw a punch that knocks him back. Danny stops himself and dodges another punch before firing an ectoblast at it. The doppelgänger was sent flying back and Danny flew after it. Once he reaches it, he knocks it to the ground and fires another ectoblast at it.
Vampirella and her doppelgänger were in their bat forms flying around, trying to attack each other. Vampirella was then caught by surprise as she was hit from behind and land on the ground. She turns back to normal and saw her doppelgänger diving at her also turning back to normal. Vampirella rolls out of the way and stood up. Her doppelgänger did the same and the two just started to throw punches and kicks.
Witcha blocks her doppelgänger magic with a shield before firing one back. Her doppelgänger dodges before using its magic to pick up some broke gears and threw them at her. Witcha dodges them before running up to her doppelgänger punch it in the face. She then kicks it before grabbing it and threw it on the ground, headfirst. Witcha was caught by surprise when her doppelgänger blast her away with its magic.
Leo ducks under his doppelgänger claws before pushing it back. He then jumps at it and the two roll on the ground for a bit. Leo was then kick-off of his doppelgänger and it grabs his foot before slamming him on the ground. Leo quickly got his foot free and backhands his doppelgänger. Leo then claws it but was shocked to see it caught his claw. It then claws him and knocks him back.
Slimy faces her doppelgänger wondering how it was a slime-like her. She nearly did dodge its fist that stretches out like hers does. Slimy then threw her fist and was surprised to see her doppelgänger form a shield with its hands before grabbing her hand and pull her towards her. Slimy was shocked to find herself enter her doppelgänger as if it was trying to absorb her. Slimy wasn't going to let it happened and force herself out. Once free, Slimy form a huge hand and harden it and slams it in her doppelgänger.
Damn use his wings to block his doppelgänger hellfire. Once Damn broke though he charges at his doppelgänger and lands a punch on it. Damn then watch as his doppelgänger flips around and stops itself. Damn stood ready before it suddenly disappears into flames. Damn looks around, know what it just did. He tries to sense it but couldn't pick up it...err... let's say smell. It then appears behind him and shot a fireball at him, knocking to his knees.
Danny was knocked away from his doppelgänger and land next to Slimy. She notices and was knocked away by her doppelgänger. Danny stood up and dodge his doppelgänger before landing a kick that knocks it away. He was then hit by Slimy's doppelgänger that knocks him into the wall. Slimy reaches over and grabs him and pulls him away before his doppelgänger could land a punch.
"Thanks, Slimy," Danny told her.
"They're strong," Slimy said.
"I noticed but there has to be a way to beat them," Danny said.
"But how can we beat ourselves?" Slimy asked.
'Ourselves? Wait! That's it!' Danny thought before his face light up.
"Slimy that's it! We are fighting ourselves! We know everything about ourselves but what do we know about each other?" Danny told her.
Slimy blinks before catching on what he was saying.
"Not much, we never had much of chance to explain our abilities," Slimy said.
"If we don't know, then they don't know either!" Danny said before looking at Slimy's doppelgänger.
"Hey, slime!" He calls out to it.
"FREEZE!" He shouted and shot an ice beam that froze it.
Danny waste no time in flying at it and threw a punch that shatters it. Slimy nodded and turns to Witcha that was having a bit of trouble with her doppelgänger. Slimy went over and cover it hands with her slime. Slimy then forms her hands into spikes and stabs it making it stop moving.
"Witcha! We need to stop fighting ourselves! Fight the others!" She said.
Witcha nods and turns to Leo who was knockback. She rise her hand and caught his doppelgänger before throwing it back. She then brought it towards her as her right-hand glow and form into a spiked glove. She threw her fist and the doppelgänger was knocked into the wall and fell. Leo notices and turns to Vampirella before rushing over and grabs her doppelgänger. Leo then threw it on the wall before rushing over and bit its neck. Leo let's go and the doppelgänger fell to the ground.
"Vampirella! Fight the others!" Leo said.
Vampirella turns to Damn and threw some bats at his doppelgänger. The doppelgänger was caught by surprise and Vampirella rush up. Knowing that she couldn't drink its blood, she drove her hand through it and pull it heart out. She crushes and turns to Damn and nodded. Damn looks at saw that only Danny's doppelgänger was left. He flew up and reach inside it. Since it really wasn't Danny, Damn knew he was safe. He pulls back and had a fake soul in his hand. He burns it away casing the doppelgänger to fall to the ground. Damn then raise his hand and shot fire at it, burning it away.
The six regroup and took a breath.
"Whew! Nice work guys!" Danny said.
"It was your idea, Danny. Having us attacking the others instead of ourselves was a smart idea!" Slimy said.
"And you're a C Student?" Witcha smirks.
"Well, I mostly had to deal with ghosts that attack my town so I couldn't really study," Danny said.
"Still, you are a lot smarter then you let on," Leo said.
"Well, maybe we can talk more when we get out of here," Danny said.
"Agree!" Vampirella smiles.
With that, the Six walks out the area as Death appear as the other doppelgängers burn away.
"Well, now I understand. You are now treated your other side as even as you do with your human side. Danny Phantom, it time for you to show what else you can do." Death said.
And done! Jeez, I think some of you must be tired of reading the word doppelgänger in this chapter. And yeah, I made Death and Clockwork brothers. I'm sure I'm not that only one that does that. One more boss before Danny unlocks his Monster Form. Also, I fix the last chapter. I put up the wrong chapter that was for another story. Please read it along with this one!
