Paw Patrol X: The Hearts of Truth
Nephilim arc Episode six: Channeling the Demon in You
Nathan Sharp's cover of the Overlord opening theme played with Charm's eyes opening after a transition of sorts. Flare was then shown to be blocking a punch from Trickery as Nathan Sharp was heard singing. "Can someone give me the (Flare kicks at Trickery, who dodges the kick with ease) a-answer, (Marshall is shown to be tending to a wound Skye gained in the fight) to my (Richie is shown to be shooting at Charm, who dodges the bullets with ease) que-estion? (Chase is shown to be taking out some robots with Snow beside her) Where's my (Rocky and Everest smash a robot's head into the ground with full force) soul?"
A stream of grass was shown as the words Paw Patrol appeared on the screen from gun shots going though them, followed up by the X being made with two sword slashes as the music continued. The Hearts of Truth then appeared through a blazing flame going across them with the Paw Patrol then shown, leading up to Flare giving a peace sign as the song continued with the lyrics coming back.
Flare was shown to be gaining some kind of dark power during his battle with Trickery. "It's like a virus in my body (Flare dashes at Trickery and grabs his neck) while I'm (Flare starts choking Trickery, who likes the feel of the moment, disgusting Flare) dreaming. (Marshall finishes tending to Skye's wound and gives her a thumbs up) When I wake up, all that's (Marshall scratches his head and laughs innocently as he looks at the screen with his eyes closed) left of me are bones."
Richie was shown regaining his balance after a brutal kick from Charm as the song continued. "I'm in a panic! (Richie dashes at Charm and aims a punch at him) Get out, (Charm grabs Richie's fist with Richie trying to knee him but failing) hurry. (Chase throws a soldier at Snow with full force) Oh there are mysteries, (Snow kicks the head of the soldier, knocking him out instantly) and many miseries. (Rocky is seen roundhouse kicking a soldier to the floor) Dead of alive, I'm on the brink (Everest stomps on the soldier's face and kicks him aside brutally with a creepy smile) of self destruction."
Skye was watching the battle before grabbing a gun and aiming it at some soldiers "As I'm (Skye starts shooting the soldiers, catching the others attention) roaming, (Rubble gives a thumbs up to Skye) from left to right to (Skye smiles in response to Rubble's gesture) An invitation, (Zuma is shown to be casually using a soldier as a pinata) to come disappear . (Flare knocks Trickery to the ground and glares at him furiously) We're dancing one, two, three steps (Flare snaps out of his trance and grabs his head, gaining an immense headache) on this dark stage."
Charm was rising up in an elevator as he looked at all of the destruction he was causing in certain towns and cities. "Raise your flag, march and fight. Break your mask and show some pride! (Charm takes out a soda can and takes a sip with a proud smile) While this war just sends a shiver down my crooked spine. (Charm is shown to be speaking about the future) Wars and swords, tears and blood. Feel my heart begin to race. (Charm chuckles devilishly as he gives an evil grin) As I laugh through this bloodbath we've made!" Charm is shown to be in Flare's nightmare, waking him up and giving him anxiety.
Richie was shown to be having some kind of demonic surge in his body that he tried to fight back "Can someone give me the (Rocky is shown to be trying to get to Richie with Marshall holding him back) a-answer, to my (Flare rushes over to Richie without warning once he sees that he starts turning evil) que-estion? (Flare hugs Richie, who smiles upon his gesture, only to suddenly go crazy again without warning) Where's my soul? Where's my heart? (Richie's body heats up and ends up sending Flare back, sending him into a tree) Am I losing my own self?"
Rocky was shown looking at his sword in some sort of bus, seeming to be on edge about how the mission went. "Don't you hesitate, go this way-ay-ay. (Flare looks over at Rocky, seeing that he's feeling down about something) I don't know. And I don't care. (Flare puts his paw on Rocky's shoulder to comfort him with a smile) Tell me, are you not entertained now?"
Richie was fighting back against his demons in his mind with his power as he slashed at his demonic side with his sword "I'll just keep (Richie's demonic side grabs his sword and crushes it) surviving, (Richie kicks his demonic side, sending it back with full force) I just cannot hide it all. (Rocky is looking at a picture of him and Richie with sadness surrounding him) I am not to fall a victim, (Rocky punches the wall out of rage and sadness) I'll continue living in this, (Zuma puts a paw on Rocky's shoulder, who starts cring and hugs him) misery driven (Zuma pats Rocky's back, knowing he's going through a hard time) world!" Flare was sitting under a tree as he thought about Richie with Snow walking up to him to see how he was doing. Flare clenched his fists with confidence that they could save Richie as the song ended with Paw Patrol X: The Hearts of Truth being shown above him.
Richie was in some kind of dark void, walking around and looking around to memorize his surroundings. He didn't seem to be showing much fear, but then when a shadow dashed past him, he showed concern as he looked to see what it was. He couldn't catch sight of it however, and continued walking to avoid wasting any time. The shadow was about to attack him, only for Richie to turn around with his gun as he said his signature killing word. "Delete." Richie shot the shadow, only for his bullet to go right through, shocking Richie as the shadow laughed.
"Did you honestly think you could kill me with a bullet?" Richie kicked the shadow, only for his foot to go right through, and then the shadow grabbed his neck, forcing him to punch at the ghost. He couldn't fight back however, and he ended up losing air as the shadow spoke to him calmly and coldly. "There's nothing you can do now Richie. You will perish. Everyone will die. Rocky. Your mother. The Paw Patrol. Everyone!" The shadow laughed as Richie was about to black out from the choking.
Richie refused to go down however, and activated his demonic powers to slash at the shadow. He managed to free himself, only for the shadow to them stab right through his chest him with a white sword. The shadow then gave a devilish grin with the screen blacking out as soon as he slashed through Richie's head.
Richie suddenly woke up, indicating that he was having a nightmare. This made him rub his head as he thought about how he was going to deal with this. "Same nightmare again. Is this my demonic side taunting me?" Richie got up and turned his alarm off, sighing with despondence as he looked into a mirror. When his hair changed from white to black, he scoffed as he thought about his father. "Father. I swear on my life. I will kill you." Richie walked out of his room, hoping that breakfast with his mother would calm him down from his nightmare.
Richie went downstairs as Diana was talking on the phone, having a very important business call with someone. "I don't care if your basketball team is missing two members, or even the entire team! I'm the mayor of this town, and I'm not going to waste the Paw Patrol's time on some sport I don't like just because you think these threats can help you!" Diana hung up and noticed Richie walking into the kitchen. "Sorry you had to hear that Richie. This coach for a basketball team wants me to get the Paw Patrol pups to play, even though they probably have better things to do, like dealing with Charm."
"I've heard much worse arguments from Chase and Rocky. You can yell at jerks on the phone all you want." Diana went over to the dining table to sit with Richie as he started eating his toast, and he then started talking about his nightmare. "I had that nightmare again. The one about the shadow choking me to death."
"Again?" Diana asked, being used to hearing about this dream from Richie. "That dream's pretty consistent. Hopefully it's not something too serious."
Richie finished a slice of bacon as he spoke about what he thought his dream was telling him. "I think the dream is trying to warn me about what dad will do if I'm not prepared for when I have to face him. Maybe I should try harder with channeling my demonic energy rather than continue to resent it due to my loathe for the one who gave that power to me."
"There's a theory." Diana took out a number and slid it over to Richie, who took it and gave it a look. "My friend Carly said that might be able to help with your problems. I recommend scheduling an appointment with him if that channeling thing doesn't help."
Richie was grateful for the tip, putting the number into his pocket before continuing to eat. "Thanks mom. I'll look into it." Diana smiled, glad she could be of help to her son during hard times.
Richie was walking over to the Paw Patrol tower with Flare waiting with a football as he looked to his right. Richie leaned on the wall of the tower with Flare taking notice as he pulled the football away, making Marshall fall flat on his back. "Hi Richie."
"Hey Flare. Hey Marshall." Marshall waved to Richie, who then spawned a demonic orb and started balancing it on his finger. "Ever since that orb of dark energy captured me, I felt like I was holding back on my demonic power too much. I even started having this weird nightmare these past few weeks about this shadow choking me to death. I think it's my demonic form taunting me."
Flare and Marshall had already walked over to Richie by that point with Flare giving his own two cents on the scenario. "Maybe your demon side is jealous of your angel side. You use it a lot more often, right? Maybe you could give the demon side a chance in the spotlight."
Richie crushed the demonic orb and kneeled down to Marshall with his own choice words. "It's just a half of me Flare. Demonic powers don't feel emotions, nor do angelic powers. And my emotions don't affect how well they work either. If I wanna use max power then I use max power. It's as simple as that."
Flare wondered how that worked with Marshall giving an explanation of his own. "See Flare, these powers of Richie's aren't actual people, they're just connected to his angelic and demonic halves. Some of his moves could be connected to his emotions, but from what I've seen, not too many of his powers actually are controlled like that."
Flare nodded in understanding with Richie having a little assignment for Flare and Marshall specifically. "Actually, I was hoping you two wouldn't mind helping me with this experiment I have planned. It's got something to do with me channeling my demonic powers, and since you two are hearts of truth, you should be able to use your health regeneration if you're hurt. Not that I hope that'll happen of course. It's just a little bonus."
"You can count me in!" Flare exclaimed with excitement, giving a salute as Marshall chuckled a bit and gave a salute as well. Richie smiled, glad he could count on the Dalmatian brothers to help him out with this.
Richie was over by the usual cliff he trained at with Flare and Marshall watching as he stood by the edge of it. He was currently channeling a demonic energy orb and he turned to Flare and Marshall to explain what he wanted them to do. "Alright. Now I'm going to let go of this orb, and it's going to get bigger and bigger, pulling me closer into it until I'm stuck inside. When I'm in there, I'll be able to channel my demonic energy and get closer to using it in a more up to max level manner. I want you guys to bail me out if you think I'm being damaged too much."
Flare and Marshall continued to listen with Richie going into detail as to why he needed them specifically. "Your health regeneration powers from your power from the Hearts of Truth should keep you from facing any massive injuries during this process. Reason I bring that up is because I'll need both of you to physically pull me out of the orb when it's too much."
"You sure we'll be able to pull that off?" Marshall asked, being a bit cautious about this whole plan and also a little concerned.
"You should be fine. (Looks at Flare) Flare, you probably know by now that you and Marshall can't be hurt as badly by this stuff." Flare nodded his head yes with a smile and Marshall smiled as well, glad Flare was keeping up with his knowledge. "Now then. Let's get started. You two may wanna back up so you don't get sucked in too." Flare and Marshall did as Richie requested and the orb grew bigger and bigger, sucking him into it and stopping once he was inside. When he got in there, he started feeling the pain from his demonic energy.
While he was being shocked by the pain, Richie started to imagine himself making shurikens and kunais out of his demonic magic, something he found it hard to do before. Not that he ever tried. He also imagined himself making a sword with his powers, but it became too much and he collapsed. Flare and Marshall instantly reacted, grabbing Richie and pulling him out of the orb, allowing him to close it with his angelic powers as he sighed of relief, getting up slowly, but surely. "Thanks guys. That should do it for now."
Richie walked over to the cliff and put his hand up, trying to create the shuriken he saw in one of his visions. He managed to do so after about three seconds, and then he tried again with the kunai, which took five seconds. As he channeled them both, he threw the shuriken and then threw the kunai, hitting the middle with it being shown in slow motion to indicate that it did indeed make it in there. Richie then used his demonic energy to bring them back, catching the shuriken without any trouble with it being pointed right at his forehead when he did.
Flare and Marshall were impressed by this with Flare running up to Richie and getting a good look at the kunai and shuriken. "You can do that!?"
Richie made the shuriken and kunai vanish, being just as amazed as Flare was as he showed a smile upon seeing it. "Apparently, yes."
Flare was now super excited, wanting to do something like that someday. "Do you think I'l get to spawn stuff like that someday? I mean, obviously not with demonic energy since I'm not part demon, but with my own power. Do you think it's possible?"
"It just might be Flare." Richie responded as he kneeled down to Flare, rubbing his head as he finished his statement. "If you ever manage to control that power of yours that's used when you're in a fury, you could be able to surpass even me, and do much more than shurikens and kunais." Flare smiled widely as Richie then corrected one of his potential thoughts. "Just don't get your hopes up. We have to find the Heart of Truth you and Marshall are connected with first before we can confirm anything."
Flare gave a bummed out expression with Marshall walking up to him instantly with an offer in mind. "Cmon Flare. Let's go get some ice cream and leave Richie at peace with the rest of his channeling."
"Are you bribing me?" Flare asked with a suspicious look, and Marshall gave the most calm smile as he nodded his head yes, leading to Flare walking past him. "Well it worked."
Richie laughed a bit as Flare and Marshall ran off, leaving Richie to practice his demonic energy some more. He spawned three more kunais and threw them into the air, throwing some shurikens into the air as well, but only making it with one. He was able to catch the one he scored in, which was the one right above him, and the other two hit the ground with a strike into the platform. Richie looked at the kunai and smiled, knowing that he was on a roll with his powers.
Richie was holding both an angelic orb, and a demonic orb, at the same time, one in each hand to keep them separate to a certain extent. As he channelled them both, he thought to himself about how well he was doing. 'I'm definitely making some good progress for my first day. I wonder if it was good enough to make me able to combine these and stabilize them.' Richie combined the two orbs, only for them to spiral out of control. This led to him looking concerned and crushing both of them as he thought to himself again. 'Okay, guess not. No matter. It's a work in progress.'
Richie walked over to the tree by the cliff and sat down underneath it and caught a card that came from behind him. "You're lucky my friends are inside Trickery. Make it quick."
Trickery appeared right in front of Richie, who scoffed as Trickery spoke up. "Now, now Richie. Don't you want to hear what I have to say?"
"Not really. That's why I said to make it quick." Richie snarked, knowing that this wasn't going to help him. "And don't forget that I beat you that day the pups met Charm."
Trickery got down onto his knees as he spoke in his usual chilling and charismatic tone. "This doesn't have anything to do with that battle. I wanted to talk about your demon half." Richie's attention was now caught. He didn't know that Trickery was the type to be interested in the demonic arts. "As you probably know, we work with Burner, your father." Oh yeah. That's why. "If you like, (Holds his paw out) we could help you channel your energy, under the teachings of your master."
Richie was instantly disgusted and enraged by this, swatting Trickery's paw away as he lost his cool. "I won't become his slave!" Trickery was surprised to see Richie getting mad as the Nephilim then told him off. "Even for someone like you, it's gotta take quite a lot of nerve to even consider asking me that deal. You know what my father did to me, I told you as much as I could remember, and you think I would accept an offer for him to become my master!? I know what he's like, and so do you! I'll never work with you, or with Charm, and especially not with Burner!"
Silence filled the air for a few seconds, only for Trickery to smirk and vanish, making Richie fail to punch him in the face. Richie breathed heavily, trying to keep himself from being mad for too long as he then noticed that his hand was black. 'Take it easy Richie. You're trying to channel your powers, not give into them.' Richie channeled his demonic energy, sighing with discomfort as he looked over the cliff with a sense of confliction. He knew he would have to deal with this before it was too late.
Charm was working on some kind of computer as Trickery entered the room right next to him. "Well that was a first. I offered him to train under Burner's wing and he lashed out at me like I was signing him up for slavery."
"I expected that kind of reaction." Charm admitted, and then he started watching Richie looking at a demonic orb with confliction before turning the computer off. "Richie can have the attitude of a brooding emo, especially when it comes to his dad. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't gone full edge lord yet. He's got a strong will, I'll give him that much."
Charm gave a devilish grin that Trickery caught onto, making him delighted to know what was come up next. "Ooh, I love that look. What do you have in mind?"
Charm stood up proudly, giving a strong look to Trickery as he stated his plans loudly and clearly. "We're going to find a way to mess around with Richie's demonic form. And to do that, we're going straight to hell!" Charm chuckled devilishly, knowing that this plan was just going to work out beautifully for him and his allies.
Rocky was working on some kind of gadget as he saw Richie walking by his pup house with a look of confliction all over his face. "You okay Richie?" Richie stopped and looked at Rocky, who set his gadget down and walked up to him. "You're giving off a tense vibe. I figured you'd wanna talk about it."
"Thanks Rocky, but I'd prefer it if we could save the talk for later." Rocky nodded in understanding with Richie walking off and going up to the fence that started the trail to the Paw Patrol tower. 'I should've known that scumbag was here to try and convince me to join Burner. Like I would even consider that as an option.' Richie clenched his fist as he leaned on the fence, knowing he was going to have a lot of work to do if he was to get rid of his problems with his father. 'After what they all did to me, and everyone else, I'll be sure to kill every last one of them.'
Richie was already enraged, but then he heard the voice of the Terrier mixed breed that used to be his. "You sure you wanna wait?" Richie saw Rocky sitting next to him as he continued to ask about his situation. "I heard Flare and Marshall talking about your nightmares while Flare was eating out of an ice cream tub. It sounds like something you need to get off of your chest."
Richie sighed, knowing that Rocky wasn't going to let this go, and neither should he. "It's because of my father. Burner. I told you about him, right?" Rocky nodded his head yes with Richie going into detail about what happened. "Trickery came up to me earlier and offered me to start training under his wing. I think we're both aware that it's like slavery to accept that offer for me."
"Yeah, I caught onto that as soon as the disgust showed the first time." Rocky put a paw on Richie's shoulder, knowing the best of what he could do. "And if you need help taking him down, I'll be there for you. But knowing me, I'll most likely fart on him so hard that he fades out of existence."
Richie and Rocky laughed at Rocky's joke with Richie smiling to the mix. "Thanks Rocky. I needed your sense of toilet humor." Rocky nodded in response, knowing Richie was lightening up a little now. Rocky could tell however that Richie was still in a dark place, hoping he could help him out somehow. He felt that he shouldn't pry however, and instead wanted to see if he could get advice from someone who he knew could help. That would have to wait tomorrow though, as it was almost dinner time.
Richie was sitting on the roof of his house sometime during the evening as he looked over Adventure Bay with a look of concern on his face, wondering if he could protect his home. As he sat there, he thought about everything that's happened to him so far, hoping he would be strong enough to keep Adventure Bay safe, especially for those who mattered most to him. He then started to think about the Hearts of Truth. "The Hearts of Truth. I'm one myself, but Flare and Marshall share one. How come we haven't found their's yet? Shouldn't two beings holding that one make it easy for us to find?"
Richie lied down and looked up at the stars as he thought about what happened with Snow before finding Everest. "And Snow almost ended it all. That can't have been from her own lack of will." Richie looked back to what Flare told him about that scenario, hoping he wasn't thinking too harshly about everything. "Flare said Charm was involved, so he must've had something to do with the decision Snow almost made. Thank God Flare's on this team or she would've killed herself for sure."
Richie then looked back to when he talked to Trickery earlier today, still disgusted by the offer made to him. "And to think Trickery had the nerve to make me that offer, knowing that I was now aware of my dad working with them. He knows more than almost everyone that I'd rather die than work with my father again."
Richie continued to contemplate everything that's happened lately with Diana calling him from his room after opening the door. "Richie, dinner's ready! Come and get it!"
"Coming mom!" Richie called back, and then, just before he entered his room, he looked back and hoped that everything would work out for the best. 'You can't stop now Richie. You have to keep fighting. For them.' Richie jumped into his room and walked out with his mom, ready for whatever dinner she had planned for him.
Flare woke up the next morning as he yawned before hugging Captain Chocolate Farts, getting up and looking in the mirror to see how he looked. He saw that his hair was sticking a bit, so he adjusted it with his tongue spit and made sure it was flattened, making him smile when he saw how good he looked without it sticking up. When Flare was about to leave his pup house, he saw Rocky outside the door and happily greeted him. "Hi Rocky."
Rocky held up a picture of Richie, confusing Flare a bit as Rocky then explained what he was doing with it. "I think something happened on Richie's last mission, and he might need a therapist or something. And since you're the main character, which means you can do no wrong, you should know how to help him."
"I don't think that's right." Flare admitted, but he decided to help Rocky anyway. "But I'll take your word for it." Flare looked at the picture and saw that Richie was giving his usual smile in it, as well as the same white hair and posture. He didn't have much to work off of, but he DID know that Rocky was the closest with Richie out of everyone in the Paw Patrol. "Maybe you could try talking to Richie yourself. You know him the best after all."
Rocky had a feeling Flare would say that, but figured it would work anyway, so he decided to roll with it. "Sounds good to me. Thanks Flare."
Rocky ran off with Flare calling over to him to wish him luck. "Good luck Rocky!" Flare went into the lookout, smelling the bacon and getting excited. "Speaking of therapy, my next client, is Flare's stomach." Flare ran off with excitement while barking, ready for all the bacon to get into his mouth.
Richie was spawning an angelic orb and a demonic orb, throwing the angelic one into the air first and the sending the demonic one after it. The demonic orb honed in on the angelic one, leading to the demonic one smashing into the angelic one and combining the two. This made them go much faster, going right into space and exploding like a firework, which Rocky took notice to as he sat down next to Richie. "Still practicing your skills, eh? I like what I'm seeing so far."
"It's actually not all that hard to practice with these things once you get the hang of it." Richie pointed out, holding to angelic orbs, one in each hand, and then turning one of them into a demonic orb. "I got up super early this morning and started training with them. Turns out I can do all the basic stuff without much worry. If I keep this up then I'll be able to spawn angelic and demonic weapons like it's nothing." Richie spawned both an angelic and demonic shuriken in his hands, showing them to Rocky, who liked the sight of it. "Well, besides this I mean."
Rocky liked the sight of these shurikens, but then he decided to get to the point with why he came over. "Hey Richie, if you don't mind me asking, why've you been so down lately? You seemed to be a little off since your last mission."
Richie thought for a moment and felt that Rocky deserved to know why he felt the way he did, since he was clearly concerned for him. "You know my dad, right? The demonic overlord?" Rocky nodded his head yes, having heard Richie mention this to him before. "He's working with Charm." Rocky was shocked beyond belief when he heard this, not wanting to hear anything like that for his entire life ever since he met Richie.
Sweetie was looking over the monitors as she saw Richie and Rocky talking about what made Richie feel so down. She got up and rubbed her big butt, walking over to Charm as he was spying on Ryder making the device for finding the Hearts of Truth. "Seems like Richie's fine with telling everyone about who we're working with now. What do you think we should do next?"
"Besides have steaming hot fart sex?" Charm asked, leaving Sweetie to roll her eyes while smiling as Charm then pointed out what Ryder was up to. "Ryder's almost done with the device to find that Heart of Truth thing the Dalmatian brothers have. I'm thinking we can break in there and bust his balls as soon as he finishes it to snatch it from him."
"And just how do you plan on doing that without magical teleportation powers?" Sweetie asked, leaving Charm to wonder how he would get the device so easily.
Charm jumped out of his chair and grabbed Sweetie's butt as he spoke up to her ear about what he was planning on doing. "The way I see it, Richie won't be able to hide it from the others that we're working with his evil father. Once he fesses up, I can see Trickery using his usual tactics to persuade them. Cause you know. The main characters are usually idiots in those types of scenarios."
"Sounds good to me." Sweetie looked at the camera, liking the feel of Charm's paw on her butt as she made sure she knew where he hid it. He hid it in some kind of safe that didn't show the combination he put in, leaving Sweetie the knowledge she needed to find it. "Looks like spiky hair's got a safe on him. We'll have to get the locksmith to help us unlock it so we can obtain that device."
Charm was ready for whatever it took to get the device, knowing that getting the Heart of Truth would be amazing for him and his entire team. "Sounds like a plan to me." Charm took out a picture of Richie in his demonic form, ready for what getting his Heart of Truth would do to him. "Just think about it baby. We'll get three mythical beings on our side. It's going to be amazing I tell you, simply amazing!"
"I guess it'd be fun to have some mind slaves." Sweetie stood next to Charm and looked at the photo, loving the look of evil in his eyes as she commented on it with joy, as she always loved it when he looked like this. "And from that look in your eyes, I know you're ready for action."
Dragon Ball Super Usubeni cover by Mark de Groot instrumental played during the credits as Flare was shown walking around the lookout as he thought about life. Flare looked up to the sky as he then thought about how he was going to help the team in the future. The music suddenly got more intense as Flare was then shown fighting off four members of the Waste's, seeming to have fun while doing it as he kicked one right in the face and made him fall back into another. The next shot showed Flare and the others witnessing Richie's in his demonic form as he looks in horror.
Richie glared at Flare, unable to contain himself as he and Flare started their battle once a male voice was heard singing. "Farewell, (Flare blocks Richie's kick, only to get sent into a tree) beautiful lover. (Flare dodges Richie's fire ball, not wanting to hurt him to an immense degree before saving him) I love you so, (Richie kicks Flare across the ground, hurting him immensely) but still I let you go. (Flare gets determined and charges at RIchie with full force) Under this pink sky is where we went our (Richie blocks Flare's kick and clenches his fist) seperate ways."
Flare regained his balance from getting send back and blocked three hell fire balls as the song continued "I want you to (Richie dashes up to Flare) know I love you, (Flare lands a punch on Richie after the latter grabs him by the neck, showing that he knews he has to figth back in order to save him) so I won't let you go. (Richie throws Flare to the side) I wish I had (Richie lands a solid flaming kick on Flare, who blocks it the best he can) said these words to you, (Flare is shown to be heavily wounded on the ground) But I have left all these words unspoken."
Flare thought about the promise he made to Rocky, refusing to let him down when he's so close now. "Like pink petals start to fall. From the blossom tree so tall. (Flare stands up and faces Richie, who shows respect in his refusal to give up) And they dance to a, bittersweet, melody." Flare and Richie went into their fighting stances as the two of them got ready to continue. An illustration of them in their stances was shown as the song ended.
