Chapter 29

One week. One week had past, one week closer to the final battle. All of the Guardians have been hard at work training their new abilities. Out of all of them, they noticed Ish was the one most hard at training with his new powers of electricity. The stain of what they saw last week was still fresh on their heads.

Joseph: How's Ish been?

Ash: Same...

Joseph and Ash were taking a break form sparing with eachother, Swoop talking with Freedom.

Ash: He has cooled off since then though.

Joseph: That's good...any improvements on Bolt?

Ash sighed at that.

Ash: Little bit, but he's still bad.

Joseph sighed as his thoughts went to his leader and his Rusher.

Bolt was watching Ish from his wheelchair, who was beating down a simulated Blitzbot with his new abilities. Bolt still had wires attached to him, but he did get well enough to leave the room. As Ish finished the last bot, the simulator ended.

Bolt: You improving very well Ish.

Ish returned to his civilian Attire turning to Bolt.

Ish: Got some of those moves from watching you.

Bolt gave Ish a weak smile, before a coughing fit erupted from him. Ish ran over and started to calm him down.

Ish: Easy Bolt easy.

Bolt took some raspy breathes, calming himself down.

Bolt: S-Sorry about that Ish.

Ish: It's fine. Just take it easy for a bit alright. Let's rest for now.

Bolt gave Ish a small nod.

Jack and Juniper were sparing with a Blitzbot in a simulation room, taking it down with ease.

Jack: We make a great team Jun.

Juniper: We sure do.

The simulator ended as Blow-Torch clapped at their success.

Blow-Torch: Very well done you two.

Jack: Thanks Blow-Torch. Through a few more times should help us get ready for the big battle.

Blow-Torch gave a nod of understanding and approval. The Guardians had discussed who would go against who. Other than their twisted counter parts, they would face one of the three individuals. Jack and Juniper bot volunteer to face Jack's Step Father...not one argued with that decision.

Juniper: Believe me, we will be ready to wipe the floor with that monster when we face him.

Jack actually chuckled at that.

Jack: Easy there Juniper, save it for when we see him.

Juniper gave a determined nod with a smile.

Troy, Hunter, Tua and Arron were fighting a group of simulated Blitzbot on one side while Kristie, Layla, Dean and Amara were fighting another, both teams switching at times to confuse and destroy the simulating Blitzbots. One the final two were down, the simulation ended and the group powered down.

Layla: Think that's the best technique we came up with, gotta keep that in mind for the future.

Troy: When we're not facing someone like Endgame, sure.

Alto: Nice teamwork there you guys.

Spot: Really like how you confused the enemy.

Lasso: Though, i think maybe you guys should take a break.

Kristie: We would love too, but we need to get ready for when the final battle comes.

Beast: As much as we admire your determination, we also don't want you to collapse from exhaustion.

Tua: He has a point, we been practicing since last week and today we haven't took a break yet.

Grizzly: Exactly. Best not to over due it.

Arron: Alright, we're take a small break.

Ricky: Speaking of which, how are the others doing.

Peck: Ash and Joseph had taken a break too, Ish has as well helping Bolt. Jack and Juniper are doing well. As for Marty and Jessica-

Jessica: DIE BLITZBOT DIE!

Jessica took down bot after bot, Marty and K-9 speachless at her.

Marty: Whoa...I have to admit, she's feisty when she's focused and mad.

K-9: I can see why she chose the sword as her weapon.

Peg-Leg chuckled at them.

Peg-Leg: A Buc at heart...Jessica! Lass! You can take a break now!

Jessica took down the final bot as the simulation ended and she powered down. She wiped some sweat from her head as she walked over.

Jessica: How did I do?

Peg-Leg: Very well done lass. You technique has improve very well, not to mention I saw a bit of our moves in there.

K-9: That was quite a show there, you definitely have been working hard.

Marty said noting as he stared at her, Jessica chucking.

Jessica: I'd saw that Marty is speechless.

K-9: Got any idea on how to snap him-

Jessica gave Marty a kiss, him blinking before his face started to blush.

Jessica: Your so cute when your stunned like that.

Marty mumbled something before falling over, Jessica going down to him asking if he was okay.

K-9: Their one cute couple.

Peg-leg: Again, he has my approval.

RZ was watching the Guardians through the monitors, observing their progress.

Liberty: They seem to be doing well so far.

RZ: Indeed, I believe they should be ready when the time comes.

Liberty sighed.

Liberty: I just... Are you sure there is nothing we can do to stop those three

Stamped shock his head.

Stampede: I don't think so...Besides, I saw on the monitor of that day Toro freed Warren. The Anticorian gauntlet is in their hands now.

Liberty groaned in anger.

Liberty: Greeat-just what we need. *Turns to Freefall* You got the others ready just in case.

Freefall: Yep, we're ready...

Liberty: A-And Bolt?

Freefall sighed.

Freefall: Still minor improvements. Even if he got better, he'll have some breathing issues in the future.

Liberty hands turned into Fist, Freefall holding it in his hands to calm his friend down as did Stampede. Needless to say, the Guardians were not the only ones who were going to be fighting that day. The Rusherz had their own agenda planed too and this time, they will not hold back.
