"Mom said dad just had a heart attack!"
Judy turned to Mary in a rush with fear in her eyes.
"We have to go to Bunnyburrow! We have to make sure dad is ok"
Mary nodded.
"I agree"
Nick looked at both of them.
"I'll get the kits in the car"
Judy looked at Nick and nodded.
"Ok, you think Mary can fit in the car too?"
He nodded.
"Yes, let's go"
They all frantically ran down the stairs of the apartment and piled in to the car, the clock read 12:30am Nick looked at Judy with fear and put the keys in the ignition.
"GO!"
They drove to Bunnyburrow almost in complete silence, nothing but a few words spoken here and there.
"We're here, the hospital mom said they were at"
They all got out of the car and ran into the hospital.
"We're here to see Stu Hopps"
Judy had fear on her face as she spoke to the bunny sitting at the front desk.
"Room 104"
They all ran down to the room and saw Stu laying there with Bonnie beside him.
"Mom, dad!"
Judy hugged her dad and mom and looked down to take a good look at her dad laying on the hospital bed.
"Oh Mary, you came too!?"
Mary nodded as she walked over to hug Stu and Bonnie.
"Dad what happened?"
His eyes drifted off and he began to speak.
"As you know I've had this heart condition for awhile, I didn't think anything of it so I let it be, after all the stress tonight and all the things that have happened, I guess it gave out"
Judy and Mary looked at their dad with tears in their eyes.
"Oh daddy"
Mary hugged him again.
"Are you going to be ok?"
Bonnie looked at Judy who had asked the question and stood there blankly.
"The doctor said there is no coming back from this"
Judy turned quickly to her dad.
"What?!!"
Stu nodded.
"You have to let me go"
Judy and Mary shook their heads in protest.
"Does everyone else know? Mom?!"
Bonnie nodded.
"They said their goodbyes when the ambulance arrived"
Judy turned to Nick then back to Stu.
"Dad please no, please say this is a joke?"
Stu's eyes fell from his daughter's.
"I'm sorry Judy, it's not, the doctor said I probably won't make it through the night, I'm lucky I woke up"
Judy's nose twitched.
"Well I mean you weren't supposed to wake, maybe you'll survive too!"
Bonnie shook her head.
"No sweetheart, that's not how it works"
Judy hugged her dad with tears falling down her face.
"Then Nick and I will show you everything you're going to miss"
Nick gave Judy a look of confusion, Judy walked over and walked him back over, she handed the kits to Bonnie and everyone watched in awe as Judy and Nick delivered what Stu would never see.
"Since you may not live to see us get married, we'll show you now"
Mary stood by the two and began giving out the lines.
"Do you Judy Hopps take Nick Wilde to be your husband in sickness and in heath to love and to hold, as long as you both shall live?"
Judy nodded.
"I do"
Mary turned to Nick.
"And do you Nick Wilde take Judy Hopps to be your wife in sickness and in heath as long as you both shall live?"
Nick smiled at Judy.
"I do"
Mary smiled at them both, tears still in her eyes.
"I now pronounce you Husband and Wife, you may kiss the bride"
They brought their faces together and kissed in the quaint hospital room.
"That was beautiful you two, I just want to say something"
Judy turned to her dad, she looked at the monitor and realized his heart rate was fading.
"Dad!"
Stu smiled.
"I accept you just the way you are Judy"
His eyes closed and the monitor beeped, nurses came rushing in pushing Judy out of the way, she ran to Nick and cried into his chest, Bonnie handed the kits back to them and they sat in the waiting room in silence.
"The day my dad said he had a heart condition was 4 years, 2 months, and 12 days ago, never did I think today would be the day it would take him, sometimes you have to just... say goodbye"
Nick pulled Judy tighter to him and let her cry, life took a turn for the worst tonight, and no one ever saw it coming.
