I have finally reached it! With this new chapter, my story will officially be over 300K. It may not seem like much of a milestone but I was somehow able to get this far with almost exclusive positive reviews and PMs from you guys, so I would like to take a moment to thank you all. Writing really helps me distress after a long day so to see that people enjoy reading my work brings me great joy. That being said, this chapter has long since been coming as I've been waiting to finally get to work writing another large scale piece battle – The Black Knight attack on Hawaii! This will be a defining moment for both sides as who wins and who losses will impact not just Britannia but the world as a whole. So safe to say, both sides are playing for keeps.

tf330129: Thanks, hope you enjoy the chapter.

Vein Bloodborne: Thanks for the compliments, I have been a little busy lately but I was able to find time to make get this chapter done. And yes, Bradley and his 'Savage Valkyries' as he calls them as going to have to fight with everything they have if they want to survive as even he understands, any enemy of the crown would love to have bragging rights about killing a Knight of Round, double if they manage it in combat.

JCarrasco: Oh I will, I still have to complete this so I can start the sequel stories after all.

REVANOFSITHLORD: It's StarGazer, error on my part since the file I created for the OC knightmare still had the first name I picked for it. And it you're wondering why it's StarGazer rather than Star Gazer/Star-Gazer is due to the fact that the Black Knights and their research divisions name things in a similar manner to ZAFT in Seed and Destiny.

Perseus12: Your review was….enthusiastic….but welcomed as I don't get that kind of review often. But you guessed right that one of the reasons they chose to attack there of all places for a little bit of psychological warfare. They purposely a spot that no-one else could even attempt to attack to prove that they can, making themselves appear even more dangerous than previously believed.

ChimaTigon: Oh yeah, that talk will be extremely awkward but it's necessary for the both of them and the story as a whole.

Dontus -not Donut- Powerus: Thanks for pointing that out, I don't know how I made such a stupid mistake but I did make the change a while back, it should be visible on the updated chapter by now.

Blaze1992: Understandable but I had to use a location that would be meaningful as without our WW2 and the sneak attack on the base, it stands to reason that if it was established there like in our timeline, then chances are that it would still be in operation. Though I am not American, I hope that it didn't came off as me making light of it or worse, making fun of it.

7: When I saw your review, my mind jumped to Battle Brawlers and then I thought 'Maybe I should watch some old episodes' which lead to be binging like 20 episodes of New Vestroia over the weekend.

Guest: Well I hope you enjoyed your little gaming session. Right now, the only game I'm been itching to play is Fallen Order but I don't have a PS4. My folks never really invested in gaming after the PS3 broke down but hey, that thing lasted us 7 long years, the warranty was only good for 2 so we got our money's worth.

Chapter 34: A Bloody Pearl

3rd December November 2020 a.t.b. /3 9688 BBY:

Unknown Region:

Milky Way Galaxy:

Earth/Sol-3:

Homeland:

Pendragon Imperial Capital:

Nelson Memorial Hall Imperial Naval Command:

"GCHQ, I'm reading 90 unknowns in sector 25, please verify." A controller working in one of the most secure places in Pendragon asked as she spotted some dots on her screen. They were flagged as unknowns as they had no IIF tag for them and they were making their way towards Hawaii. Like herself, there were about 29 others in the surveillance room monitoring their vast empire's territories and borders via satellites

"Very funny, Nelson. That's a big negative." The person she was speaking with, a member of the Government Communications Headquarters or GCHQ, replied as if she was joking. As their name implied, they handled all government communications line, even security lines like those used by the IIB(Imperial Investigation Bureau) and OSI(Office of Secret Intelligence). They also had access to their surveillance and more as they could easily track phones, credit card and internet history of just about anyone.

"Maybe it's a glitch?" One person next to her suggested as he switched his own screen to sector 25 and saw the same readings.

"Maybe one of the satellites isn't seeing clearly." One person nearby threw into the air as they got up to get a cup of coffee. They never really had anything to worry about as Britannian hadn't been attacked in decades, the recent Kyūshū not counting.

"We don't wait for things, ran a diagnostic's check and see if there are any problems." Her superior said as he walked up behind her and saw what she was looking at. They may have a relatively quiet job but it was still important.

"GCHQ, be advised, running diagnostic and scanning for any malfunctions or errors." She responded as she went to work initiating a hard reboot of the whole system. She thought they fix this problem already.

"Yo do that, but the skies are clear on our end. You said sector 25, correct?" GCHQ asked over the line.

"Roger, sector 25." She confirmed as she went through all the procedures one would need do to reset the system and started the reboot.

"That's Pearl's region, isn't it? We'll contact them on our end, see if they have anything on their screens." GCHQ replied to them as they thought of an easy fix for the moment.

"Maybe not, they would have said something by now if they did." She responded as if they had this mane unknowns heading towards them, she was sure they would have said something by now, if nothing else, just to play it by the books and report in.

"GCHQ, signs of another 100 unknowns in sector 25, please verify." Another one of the controllers spoke up, sounding confused and surprised by what he was seeing on the monitor as another group, coming from a different direction was making their way towards sector 25.

"Okay, now you must be seeing things. The scope's clear on our end." GCHQ responded, sounding like he wasn't buying what they were selling, though they weren't sure if this was even accurate to begin with. At the same time, they got the alert that the reboot was done.

"Scans have just came back, we got nothing saying anything's wrong." She reported as now they were all really invested in this as she could feel her CO behind her as they both wondered what the issuewas.

"Maybe those satellites are acting up again, they were giving us trouble a couple months back, weren't they?" someone suggested as they even had to send a some astronauts/engineers' to check on them. maybe the repair wasn't as solid as they thought?

"Nelson, this is GCHQ. Can you rise Pearl?" GCHQ asked them, but what caught them off guard as how serious they sounded now.

"GCHQ, what seems to be the issue?" She asked as she worked through the options and functions of her equipment to try and connect a line to Pearl.

"We don't know, we can't make contact with Pearl harbour." GCHQ responded, causing pause as that shouldn't be possible. They controlled communication in government and to some extent, of the three main branches of the armed forces. If they couldn't get a line, then something was seriously wrong.

"Hold on, we'll try on our end." She replied as she scrolled through the many lines they had to the numerous bases, both in the homeland and in their outreaching areas.

"This is strange." GCHQ stated.

"You're telling me." She muttered as she found the line and selected it, but rather than give her the notification of the communication line attempting to connect and then connecting like usual, it almost immediately failed. She tried again and got the same result. "Wha-I can't get a signal through." She reported as she tried to use a different line but found the same result.

"Nothing?" GCHQ asked, sounding just as surprised and concerned as she was.

"Negative, I can't get anyone on the line." She said as she tried the 7th line, which bounced their signal off other bases and while it took longer for the line to connect then the others, it didn't work either since as soon as the line attempted to connect to Pearl, it failed.

"Try the emergency line," Her CO ordered as he thought about what to do with this. "This is real strange, someone get the minister of security on the line, this could be a major equipment failure and I'll rather tell her myself then let her find out by herself later."

"Okay, I think I got a connection." She reported as using their emergency line finally worked, they were almost never used and the one she was accessing hadn't been serviced or upgraded in 20 years but while ancient compared to everything else in the room, it was the only one that got through due to the fact it used underwater cables rather than wireless signals. "Pearl Harbour, we're seeing…200 plus unknowns in your sector, anything out there?"

"THEY"RE EVERYWHERE!" That one shout grabbed everyone's attention as rather than hearing a negative so they could all get back to work, they instead heard the panic shouts on the other side.

"Pearl Harbour, repeat! What's everywhere?" She asked him, trying to get more information on what the hell was happening today.

"We're under attack! I repeat, we're under attack. The fucking Black Knights are attacking us! When did they even get this much knightmares?!" The operator on Pearl yelled as they watched as Black Knight fighters rocketed overhead, firing missiles and dropping bombs as their CIWS both on the ships and the base's own tried to shoot them down but they found limited success. That wasn't even the worst thing as pods from what seemed to be space came crashing down to earth, breaking apart mid-fall and releasing their payloads of knightmares on them. This was a damn siege!

"The Black Knights?!" She asked, completely stomped by the message as Pearl Harbour was literally thousands of kilometres from Area 11, how did they even begin to cross the pacific without them knowing about it! "Pearl, can you conform that? What type of equipment are they using?!" She all but demanded, having the attention of the entire room and their counterpart from GCHQ listening in.

"We're seeing knightmares, fighters and ground attack craft pummelling us! They even brought in flying ships, I repeat, flying ship! Where they even get them!" The controller reported, the sounds of panic and loud orders being given being clear in the background. "Requesting immediate back-up, we don't know how long we can las-!" It was then that the connection cut, though if it was due to their command centre being attack or the line literally being cut by something, they didn't know.

"Pearl? Pearl!" She tried to rise them again but now even the emergency line wouldn't go through. For all intents and purposes, they had no way of communicating with their Pacific command.

"Sir?" She asked her CO as she turned, desperate for orders as this was the worst possible scenario.

"Send word to the emperor and prime minister! They need to hear about this immediately!" Her Co was quick to action as he began firing out commands and orders like they were going out of style. Immediately, everyone jumped into high gear they worked to get communications back up, alerting the government and sending protocol orders down to their armed forces.

"Sir!" One person saluted him as they rushed out of the room to alert his majesty.

"Code Black, code black. We are under attack! All stations be advised, satellite surveillance has been compromised, get me as many military assets as we can, I don't care if their navy or marine, we needs all hands on deck for this!" Another controller echoed though their remaining communication lines as all their bases in the Pacific were brought to high alert. Even Area 11 got the call.

'My god help us.' The aged security officer thought to himself as he looked around those under him worked to contain this mess.

(At that same time – Pearl Harbour)

As this was happening, in Hawaii the fighting had only just begun and already the scope of it all was colossal as seemingly endless amount of planes strafed the skies and engage any of the defenders who had managed to get into the air. As this went on, knightmares both from sea and air encroached on the large military base. With GINNS, DINNS and CGUEs in unheard numbers rained down from the skies and shot out of their carriers as they all flew towards the island as GOOhNs and the debuting ZnO series swan out of their submarine carriers and from beneath the waves, they all set their sights on their one singular target.

Leading the strike were the vanguard of their forces, the shock troopers and primary airstrikes on their more dangerous anti-air and anti-ship ordnance sights. That vanguard being led by Zero and his personal unit.

"Take this!" Kallen as she fired her StarGazer's new ranged feature. Her shot doing a whole lot of damage as it streaked across the deck of a small carrier, destroying about half a dozen fighters before they could even take off.

"Damn, they really improved your weapons, didn't they?" Lockon teased as he took aim and fired on some IFVs that were parked near the harbour.

"You got that right!" Kallen responded as she gripped the controls as if she was on a sugar high, having never felt this powerful in her. And she wasn't the only one. Across the entire battle, dozens and dozens of anti-air missiles, cannons and CIWs came alive as they filled the skies with missiles and bullets and though they were shooting down some of the enemy knightmares and aircraft, most proved agile enough to avoid them as they fired their own weapons.

Most of the ships in the harbour sprung to action and started to join in the fight but they soon found they had their own problems when GOOhNs and ZnOs came out from the water and started to make their way inland. A smaller unit of them had breached the harbour entrance and were firing on the still docked ships. As they went to town blasting their imperial navy, bombers and fighter bombers released their payloads on hangers, dry locks and harbour facilities.

One such Fleet class aircraft carrier found itself really unlucky as it was hit by 6 different torpedoes from a GOOhN, blasting four holes in the hull while a passing back fighter bomber, dropped a 400kg(881lbs) bomb on it, the explosive detonating on impact with the flight deck and killing well over a dozen people as a 5m in radius in the ship, dooming it.

"Hurry! Get those planes in the air!" One of the defenders by the base's main airstrip yelled out as he helped a pilot into his fighter.

"Man that anti-aircraft gun! Target the knightmares!" Another yelled as they both ran for the Humvees parked near the runway, both being equipped with mini-guns. But they never made it as they all heard what would soon be the death-call of a BK fighter as two of them came diving down on them.

"Look out!" Someone screamed as the man jumped off the fighter, having no time to get the pilot out before the two planes fired off their missiles on them. one of them blowing the fighter apart, pilot and all.

BOOM!

In a sense of vengeance, down the way from this, another person was able to get to a mini-gun fast enough and quickly trained it on the fighters as they flew away before firing on them. he didn't give up until he saw smoke trailing from one of them, having taken the beating.

"I'm hit, I'm hit!" The pilot called out over their radio as they tried to get their fighter to respond before he saw it was a lost cause and ejected, leaving the fighter to crash into the ground and blow up.

His victory over the enemy was short lived however as a GINNS literally came crashing down on him, killing him near instantly.

"Keep pushing, take out those air fields before they can get more bird in the air!" Zero ordered as he landed in the harbour area and started to fire on vehicles and knightmares that opposed them.

"Yes sir!" The fighters and fighter bombers replied as they kept on hitting the air-fields around the area, blasting apart the runways and blowing up aircraft even as they taxied down the way in a fruitless bid to get in the air. Near his position, Tieria and Alleujah both landed as way and begun their own attack. The stoned faced pilot armed his cannons towards the ships in harbour and with four well placed shot, heavily damaged 4 large fuel tankers, which soon exploded when their sakuradite payloads caught light, taking out another one in the process. Alleujah fired on a grouping of Humvees and APC, taking them and most of their crews out of the fight.

Liu Mei was in the skies alongside Kallen as they fired upon the defenders from above. Kallen showing her machine's deadly ranged abilities as she let loose another blast from the Radiant wave surger, taking out three Sunderlands and a Gloucester, pilots included. Liu Mei targeted some low flying VTOLs and with a few well-placed shots, they were all crashing down to earth before exploding on impact. On the outskirts of the base, Lockon found himself spoiled for choice as he fired on tank and APC after tank and APC as it was clear that they had no real idea of where to go and where the attack was worse as they had spread out their forces to cover the entire facility.

"Send in the bombers. Have them target the ships in the harbour. Have GOOhN and ZnO teams pull back from there and focus their attention on the harbour facilities." The commander on board the Sakura ordered as they watched their troop movement on their table screen(The same style all Star wars ships seem to have). He was currently trying to get their GOOnNs and ZnOs into a position where they can close off the harbour entrance and the rear to cut off any ships from escaping into the open waters.

"Roger." Someone replied as they relayed those orders down. Even though they were at a distance of 7,400km and 3,000m above sea level, they could still see the battle unfold as even a couple enemy fighters zoomed on by in their bids to shoot them down. Ha! Even if one of them could get past their defences, they didn't have a single weapon that could even penetrate their armour and shielding.

"Keep those fighters off us." The commander ordered as he was getting annoyed by all those screaming jet engines and failed missile impacts.

"Roger." Someone else replied as she worked to shoot down those fighters, increasing the volley they were putting up to try and take them out, almost immediately, they shot down 4 of them and forces many more to pull back lest they suffer the same fate.

'All tasks at hand have been cleared, it won't be long before we win.' As this was happening, Zero had taken the time to review their entire battle set-up and troop movements himself, trusting his command staff to be capable of directing things as he fought on the front lines.

(Same time – Tokyo Settlement)

"What do you mean they're on high alert?" Cornelia asked as she along with her sister, Euphemia were in the middle of a meeting with the heads of government in Area 11 when a messenger came in to inform them that all naval assets in the area had gone into high alert and were preparing for war it seemed.

"Your highness, the orders came straight from naval command. All ships in the pacific are to go into high alert and prepare for deployment." The low ranking officer replied as he stood in front of her.

"And why would they give such an order." Euphemia asked, curious and concerned about why they would give their entire navy such instructions. Such a thing was unheard of unless they were at war, but their fronts in north africa had been stable for some time and there was no activity from the Federation. So who were they gearing up to fight?

"Because as we speak, the Black Knights lay siege to Pearl Harbour." A expected voice spoke, leading them all to look towards the large main screen where their prime minister was pictured, yet unlike many of his appearances where he was charming, calm and collected-now he seemed on edge and worried.

"Schneizel. Wait, the Black Knights?" Cornelia asked, first surprised that he was dropping into this discussion before the words he spoke caught up with the most of them.

"It would seem so, I was only informed a couple minutes ago." Schneizel replied as he had only gotten the unsettling information around 10 minutes ago. Since then, he had been doing his best to commit damage control and learn as much as he could.

"That's impossible, even if they wanted to, how in the world would they even cross that much water without anyone detecting them?" Nonette was the first to voice the obvious flaw in that report as sure, the Black Knights had been silent as of late but that couldn't have meant they were crossing the ocean.

"That we don't know at this time. We have no contact with the base or any of the ships present. All we do know is that Sir Bradley is still present as we may have a fighting chance." Schneizel replied as they were scrambling to get anything there to aid them as they could only hope that the base itself could last a prolonged battle and give them the time they needed but from what they knew of the Black Knights, the odds of that happening were slim.

"Is that why they have been so quiet as of late, they were building up to this?" Euphemia asked, though it seemed more like she was asking herself.

"It would seem that is the case, or perhaps they were moving all the supplies and equipment they would need onto whatever transports they used. Either way, you two should place the entirety of Area 11 on high alert." Schneizel advised the, sounding as serious as the grave as he looked towards his two half-sisters. "Zero won't let this be a quiet affair."

"Why?" Euphemia asked, getting everyone's attention before she added to her inquest. "I mean, showing them attacking such a place would only anger the citizens, destroy whatever sympathy they had for him."

"But at the same time, embolden the resistance. I also fear that this move was to throw the entire of our pacific naval forces into chaos, which would give him more time to return to Japan and attack the settlements themselves as it would much longer for us to organise any sort of response from the homeland." Schneizel replied, having already thought about this when he heard the news and though he would never admit, he personally thought it was a great move on Zero's part as he was attacking their navy to ensure that once he did commit to a battle for Area 11, they would have little to send to aid their defenders outside of sending in troops from area 10(New Zealand)….which was too far away to have any hopes of making the journey in time, same with Area 3(Canada), Area 4(Alaska) and Area 6(See chapter 10 author notes).

"I understand, Guilford." Cornelia replied before she turned to her faithful knight. "Have all our forces deploy to the settlements and make sure they keep their eyes and ears open. When this gets out, the elevens aren't going to sit back and no nothing." She ordered as she could already tell that this will not blow over.

"Yes, your highness!" Guilford replied before he turned and quickly left the room to carry out her orders.

"Have a media black-out as well. We need to contain this for as long as we can." She then turned to the head of television, radio and media(propaganda).

"Right away, your highness." The minister replied as he pulled out his phone and got to work calling those he needed to so to get things done.

"I shall see if we can't spare some reinforcements for you. I have a feeling you'll need them." Schneizel stated to her, offering up whatever help they may need as this was an issue that effected the empire as a whole.

"Thank you." Cornelia responded to him before he cut the connection and presumably went back to doing whatever he was doing before. This also served as the signal for the rest of the room as they quickly got up, bowed to the two princesses before they left to get started on their tasks.

"Sister," Euphemia started, seeing that they were alone.

"Now is not the time, sub-viceroy." Cornelia cut her off, she knew she was being harsh with her but she could apologise later when things cooled off. Though that later may be now as Euphemia grabbed onto her sister's sleeve to stop her from leaving.

"We may not have another!" She yelled, sounding like she was close to be hysterical if not already really frustrated with something. "Please, just a moment of your time." She asked her sister, her eyes shining with unshed tears as she pleaded with the older women to give her some time.

"Fine, but make it quick." Cornelia relented, having always been weak to her sister's tears as she turned around to face the girl as she too got out of her throne to speak.

"I….I may have an idea….of who Zero is." Euphemia stated, ringing her fingers together in a nervous fashion, something her sister caught as she only did that when she was really nervous.

"You do?" Cornelia asked, wondering where this could be going as their investigation hadn't shed any new light on the man nor his close associates. Did she have a piece of evidence that Gottwald did not?

"I do, but I don't think you will like who I think he is." Euphemia replied, making her sister even more curious as she could think a few names off the top of her head that could mean, but all of them checked out a while back.

"Spit it out, Euphie, we don't have a lot of time." Cornelia told her, getting a little irritated with the round the bush nonsense.

"I think…I think that Zero is our brother. I believe Zero is Lelouch." Euphemia said, meeting her sister's shocked eyes as she said this.

"What?!" Cornelia yelled at her, grabbing at her shoulders. "Euphemia, why would you say such things, our brother-"

"Made it very clear on how he feels about us and our family as a whole in his last letter. It isn't just that but when we met during the hotel incident." Euphemia cut her off, bringing old memories they both wished they could forget but never could. So she told her more about the hotel incident, and the parts of her encounter with Zero she had left out the first time. How he seemed to have known her or had an idea of what she was life, the cryptic message he gave her when they separated, how it was similar to their brother's last letter, she had left it out as she wasn't sure of it herself. It wasn't until Zero's second televised appearance that she was sure as the last thing he said, his personal message for the emperor…was far too similar to what his had told their brother that day when he confronted the man.

"He….he really said that?" Cornelia asked as she found her legs weak from this information.

"It may not have mattered to most but if you take into account what he wrote to us last, then….then the two start to share a lot more than just that." Euphemia said, close to tears as they could now both see it, the fact that even after a decade away from home, their brother was alive.

And was waging a war against them.

"His tactics, his flair for theatrics. Just like how he was…..he was before it all went to hell." Cornelia whispered to herself as she tried to deny it, tried to see Zero was someone else but she couldn't, everything fit too perfectly to be random. "And now he lay siege to our most important naval installation in the Pacific, and chances are we'll be returning soon to do the same here."

"Sister, we need to find a way to avoid fighting. If nothing else, then to avoid any more bloodshed." Euphemia pressed her, having no need to hide her reasoning for wishing that they don't fight.

"And how will we even attempt this? He has made it clear he has no intentions of working with us, not as Zero." Cornelia reminded her, even if it hurt her own heart, she recalled how he made it clear that he didn't wish to work with them.

"Then we don't approach Zero, we approach him. Find some way to get a message to him before the fighting starts!" Euphemia shot back, there had to be some way they could contact him, if they could then they could avoid fighting!

"And what will you have me do? Hand over the entire area to them? To surrender to him his band of terrorists!?" Cornelia asked her, not really angry with her but taking out her frustration for this whole affair on her as they both knew that they were in no position to hand over Area 11, not if they wanted to keep their heads.

"What I want is for you to live! You and I both know that with the numbers we have, we won't win, reinforcements won't get here in time! Area 11 has already fallen! Would you rather have to fight our brother to the earth for this?!" Euphemia yelled back at her, equally angry with it all. They both new that they, that Nonette, that the Glaston Knights were only still alive because he let them live! If they fought him now, then what would stop him from going the full distance and killing them to?

"We thought we lost them before, I just don't want to be on opposing sides anymore, we're supposed to be a family." Euphemia whispered out as she started to cry. "What ever happened to the days when we would play in Marianne's garden together? The sleepovers? The camp-outs?" she asked her sister as she thought back to the days when they were innocent, when they were family. When they didn't have to think if their own siblings would try and murder them.

"….Fine….I…I'll see what can be done." Cornelia relented. It was a gamble but it was the only real move they had left. "But don't get your hopes up, if there is one thing our so called family is known for," She added in as she took her sister into her arms. "It's our habit of fighting and killing one another."

As the two consoled the other, they never picked up on the fact that Nonette was still close by, having returned to speak with her Cornelia about something when she caught the conversation. She didn't like it but she kept to the door and listened in to their conversation on the other side. So now she too was informed of who they were truly fighting and like Cornelia, she didn't know what to think. She never thought that she would face Marianne's son in combat.

(Lamperouge Household)

"I'm sorry, can you repeat that? It sounded like you just admitted you like my husband." Reyla asked as she rubbed at her ear. While the colonial government raced to confront this threat. The two of them had their own issue to deal with.

"Because that's what I said." Shirley repeated, keeping eye contact with the woman she came to speak with.

"This….this is…." Reyla started as she really didn't know how to handle this. What was she supposed to do?

"Unexpected?" Shirley offered up, having the same feeling as it took everything she had to even came out and say that.

"To put it bluntly." Reyla said as she rubbed her forehead as she tried to comprehend this. "Why are you coming to me with this, why not Milly, or Nina?" She asked as though they were friendly with one another, they weren't especially close to one another.

"Because I didn't want things to be weird between us, I didn't want to become on those girls who never got over this." Shirley said, having had nightmares about such a thing and she hated all of them. if she had to be direct with her feelings to get over them, then so be it.

"Well this isn't the best way of doing it." Reyla countered as she started to calm down and think rationally about this.

"As they say, rip off the band aid. I wanted to ask, how I should deal with this. You know him best after all." Shirley offered up a joke like she knew Milly would to try and break the ice before she went on.

"Darn, when I agreed to marry him, I didn't think this would happen so soon." Reyla muttered to herself as she picked up her tea and took a large gulp, draining the cup in one go.

"So soon?" Shirley asked, was she expecting this? Did Milly tell her?

"My girl, my husband is many, many things but if there two things about him that stand out in this sense, is that he has a way of attracting attention from girls by just being himself. The other is that he is blind to it." Reyla said with a small smile as she had seen it throughout the years, even back on Mars, the boy could garner the attention of women older than she was. Whenever he went out on a mission or assignment that would last long periods, Suzaku would tell her of how he caught the hearts of girls that he helped every time. She never took problem with it as she knew he was loyal and secondly she also knew that he didn't even know it himself.

"You mean?" Shirley stared, coming to the same conclusion that Reyla did.

"No my dear, you're not the first to have feelings or at the very least, a strong attraction to him." Reyla told her as she had accepted that a long time ago. She had also accepted that much like his father, he would take wives for political reasons.

"But, but how?" Shirley found herself asking.

"I would say it's his charm but when you take his family into account, then its normal. And before you ask, yes, they practice polygamy. His father, his grandfather, his great-grandfather and so on." Reyla said as it had become a thing ever since his family were kicked out of Europe. The idea being that one of them would last long enough to become the next ruler. It was his great-grandfather who came up with the idea of the strongest being ruler, which lead to the emblem of blood and the deaths of dozens of royals and nobles alike.

"And you're okay with that? With having to you know…share him?" Shirley asked, blushing as she thought up the many situations that would cause for them.

"My dear, I accepted this a while back. Besides, between the two of us, you're not the first to bring this up. Another has already made her intention clear to wed him." Reyla laughed at her as she had the same expression as a fish out of water at that comment. She didn't give her Kaguya's name but the girl was determined if nothing else. She still remembered how much Suzaku laughed at the thought of the two becoming cousins.

"What!" Shirley nearly jumped to her feet with that one. "But isn't that illegal?"

"Not in Britannia, so long as the groom is either from an established family, which means noble or has a rather lucrative income, he may take multiple wives. His status as it stands right now is sort of complicated but he should be good for at least 4 wives." Reyla said as she was surprised to find that out when she dug into the laws around marriage in the empire. She supposed it stemmed from the false belief that those who were 'strong' should spread their genes. It would make sense….if what qualified as strong wasn't your economic and social standing. If this applied to the literal physically strongest then yes.

"There is also a point that I wish to make to him as he has never been one to favour the whole idea of harems." Reyla added in as she absentmindedly rubbed at her stomach.

"Why?" Shirley asked her as she knew that most women didn't like the thought of harems, not for a long term relationship.

"Well, it isn't my place but you should know that his relationship with his family as a whole is….shaky to put it lightly. His father especially." Reyla revealed, keeping what she said to the bare minimum.

"His father?" Shirley asked, now that she thought about it. She knew nothing of his family outside of Nunnally and Alice.

"His mother tragically passed away over a decade ago and his father wasn't the most supportive or even caring about the whole thing. It soured their relationship up till this day, they haven't even spoken since." Reyla said to the girl, who gasped at the knowledge she was just gifted with.

"But if his father had more than one wife then that would mean-" Shirley then realised the problem.

"That he and Nunnally have many half siblings and mothers. He believes that his father never really loved his mother and only took her for her beauty. So his view on harems is…poor." Reyla said as the guy down right said he didn't believe in the practice.

"And you want to fix that?" Shirley asked, having figured out what the older woman was trying to do.

"I want him to understand that one can love more than one and care for all." Reyla said as she came from a background there one could love many, there was nothing wrong or hard about it.

"So, so you're okay with….sharing?" Shirley asked her, now finding that her goals for coming her mixed up and confused.

"Yes I am, he won't play favourites. Besides, any women that can catch his eye must be an outstanding person." Reyla replied, having already thought up how their home lives will be like before she fell into one of her fantasies. "It will certainly mean that little Alice will have many brothers and sisters she can play with."

'I'm worried about a potentially polygamist relationship with my crush and she's thinking of children already.' Shirley asked herself as she didn't know how the interpret this. Shirley had only said she had a crush on him and here Reyla was, thinking about what children she would have with him! 'Nunnally was right, she is one in a million.' "So have you thought of any names? For the baby, I mean?" She asked to try to get the conversation back on a normal track.

"Oh, we have discussed it but we decided that we'll wait until we meet our children before giving them their names." Reyla replied, coming down from whatever day dream she was in. "If I'm lucky, this won't be the last time we have children together."

"You sure seem to like the idea of a large family." Shirley noted as she couldn't say she didn't want one herself when she was younger, it would have siblings to play with.

"Well where I came from, brothers and sisters don't really mingle, we're kept separate from a young age." Reyla replied, making it sound like she was raised by a religious body or something, though it was more of a cult. 'I'll leave out the part where the man are all but slaves to the Nightsisters.' "I want to have a family where we are all safe and happy. That's my wish."

"That's a wonderful thing to aim for. Meanwhile, I'm here studying to become a vet." Shirley chuckled as she took a sip of her tea.

"Oh, you wish to be a healer as well?" Reyla asked her, having not known this.

"You mean you're a doctor?" Shirley asked her. They had never actually talked about their private lives all that much.

"Yes, I finished the course to officially become one about two years ago. But I'm been on leave since the 4th month." Reyla replied as she had been on pregnancy leave even before she came to earth.

"That's great, maybe I can ask you for some help sometime, I would normally ask my….father," Shirley started before she sobered up, thinking to how she had lost her own father some time ago, and something else.

"Say no more, I can only imagine how painful it was losing him." Reyla said as she never really knew her own father to begin with, having been raised by the elder sisters and her own mother for the first 14 years of her life.

"I…I've been making progress with it, mostly helping mom deal with it. They had been together since high school so it was a shock to us both." Shirley said as she worked to calm herself down. "At least, at least at first."

"Excuse me?" Reyla asked as the girl reached for the bag she had brought with and pulled out some files.

"I found some files in my father's old things. It would by mistake, really. I was packing some of his things away when this file fall onto the floor. I was about to put it away but…" Shirley said as she handed her the files she had taken out.

"Shirley?" Reyla asked, having not opened the first one yet.

"This….was the file. I didn't understand most of it, I haven't gotten that far but if you're a doctor, you can understand these notes better." Shirley said as she gestured towards the file that the elder woman was holding, getting her to open it up and see the contents for herself.

"Your father was a doctor…." Reyla came to a stop as she started to see what was in this, and to be frank, it was disturbing. "To…what is this?"

"I had the same reaction, I may not understand most of it but from what I did, it…it was." Shirley couldn't even bring herself finish the sentence as Reyla reached the page where she herself had stopped. One with a pictures of a person's open chest cavity.

"Inhumane. And very illegal," Reyla finished as she read through the report and found that this was too similar to the Code-R scandal to not be connected. "Have you gone to the police with this?"

"No, I only told my mother. She….she of all people deserved to know." Shirley said as she had gone to her mother with this and it was safe to say that the woman didn't handle it very well, fainting when she showed her that her husband hadn't been the saint they thought him to be. Lucky for them, he sister was in town and helping her deal with it whenever Shirley wasn't around. "Is it as bad as I thought?"

"These are notes on human experimentation, drug testing and what seems to be attempts to create a methods to grant immorality, so I would have to say that this is very bad." Reyla said as she looked through the other files and saw that they detailed experiments that turned her stomach. And she thought Sith Science was bad, this was a close second! "And from the locations and procedures, it seemed he was working for Clovis. He was part of it all." She finished before she realised something. 'Wait, with what this says he was involved and with how he passed on….he was taken out, and chances are he was taken out by whoever else was in on this.'

"How could he do that? Hurt so many people? He told me he become a doctor to help people! How was he helping anyone with this…this evil acts!?" And with that, what little control the poor girl had over herself was washed away as she started cry. Cry knowing that her father had done such vile acts. Seeing her in distress, Reyla quickly got up and sat next to her, pulling her into a hug.

'Oh you poor girl, it seems you had a father with more sins than most.' Reyla thought to herself as stroked the girl's back to try and soothe her pain. 'I'll have to tell Lulu soon enough but for now,'

'I need to make sure she handles this properly.' She decided as she needed to deal with this, first and foremost. Informing her husband could wait. As the two of them sat, CC stood around a corner, having listened into the conversation and she was pleasantly surprised to see that the daughter of one of the men that put her and others through that was nothing like him. She would have taken out some vengeance on her but even she couldn't target family like that. Especially when that family is nothing like the person you hate.

'So, that's his daughter. I would have imagined her to have been…..crueller but I supposed you can't judge one by their parents.' CC thought to herself as she turned around and walked back to her room, passing by a window where she saw little Alice playing with some friends in the snow, all under the watchful eye of that Nagata person she can came to understand was a bodyguard of sorts.

(Back in Hawaii)

Back in Hawaii, things weren't looking too good for the Britannian defenders as on all front, they were being pushed back. By land, their tanks and other armoured vehicles found themselves targeted by ground attack aircraft, fighter bombers and knightmares. By sea, their ships were nothing more than floating targets, sure they were fighting with everything they had but they weren't making much progress. By air, their small number of fighters and helicopters that were lucky enough to take off were quickly shot back down.

"Take out those SAM, hurry up!" A GINN's pilot called out as they and another 6 fired on some armoured vehicles equipped with anti-air missiles, destroying them and giving way for their ground attack craft to press on undeterred, firing both cannon, blaster and missiles down to the defenders below.

"I got a flight of fighters, 7 of them coming in to attack in point C11." Meanwhile, back with Pearl Harbour command, they found themselves swamped with all the different updates coming in. it had only been around 15 minutes and already, the bass was burning with more than a couple ships that were in harbour having been bombed or torpedoed, including a fleet carrier for crying out loud!

"Enemy knightmares, 25 of them are closing in on point B15." Another controller reported as they kept watch on enemy movements using field reports from whoever they could keep in contact with.

"Commander! Come in commander!" They heard some poor fool over the radio as he desperately called for his commanding officer before his fighter was shot down, joining many others as now only a small number of their F-16 Fighting Falcons and F-15 Eagles were still in the air.

"The north 2nd defensive line is crumbling! Western 3rd and 4th are in danger of falling as well. Sir, at this rate, we'll lose the harbour!" Someone reported to their aged commanding officer as he fought off the stroke he knew was coming. This shouldn't have been possible but yet, they now had to fight off an enemy they didn't know could even strike this deep into them or had these kinds of numbers!

"Have Leo and Maverick squads move in to reinforce the western area. Get some fighters and attack coppers to the north! And where is Bradley?" He yelled as he was hoping that that mad-man had made some progress in expelling their invaders.

"Sir, he's unit is moving to engage the enemy attacking the harbour." Someone told him as they found Bradley on the now unreliable scanners.

(With Bradley)

"Damn, they sure know how to make a mess of things, don't they?" Bradley joked as he led his Valkyries through the destruction and chaos as they looked about for something to destroy. Unlike the others, he was piloting a specially made Vincent Commander Model which had a blaze luminous jousting lance. It also carried its own VARIS rifle but it was more eager to impale someone.

"Sir, incoming missiles!" One of his Valkyries yelled out as they all looked up and saw a barrage of about 15 missiles heading towards their area.

"Those are surface to surface, or in this case, ship to surface. Clever but not clever enough!" Bradley said as he kicked into high gear and started to shoot down all the missiles alongside his Valkyries. Not a single one ever made it to them. But lucky for him, he didn't have to wait for something else to do.

"There he is, the knight of ten!" They heard over an open channel as they saw a group of GINNs heading towards them, with some of them holding back and firing on him with their rifles.

"Take his head!" Another cried as they rushed him and tried to engage him in combat but he proved that he was an excellent pilot if nothing else as while his Valkyries fought with one each, he was up against three and showing off that none of them could get a hit in. with a shot, he blasted off the leg of one of them, when he fired his slash harken, he was able to daze one long enough to blast a hole through its chest, destroying it by using the distraction this caused, h rushed the last one, blasted off its sword arm before knocking it into its back.

"What the-!" The pilot cried as they looked up to see the terrifying sight of Bradley standing over them with his lance pulled back and activated.

"Question, what do you value most?" Bradley asked him but as he was too much in the mood, he didn't even give the guy enough time to answer before he impaled him and his unit right through. "It's your life!"

BOOM

"You bastard!" The ones that had remained back cried as they kept up the fire, now aiming for him alone while the Valkyries dealt with their own opponents.

"Come on Black Knights, show me what you got!" Bradley charged them head-on, ready to take on anything and all that would step up.

Shame he would not live to regret that sentiment.

"Gladly!" They all heard a familiar redhead cry out over the radio as Bradley barely dodged Kallen's swipe for his head. He jumped back just in time to watch as the new and greatly improved Guren came crashing down where he once stood.

"Hmm?" Bradley muttered as he immediately saw that this wasn't the typical unit by any means, in fact, it resembled one that Nonette brought up in the report she submitted some months ago. 'This one looks different, hold on. That's weapons report.' He thought to himself as he came to the conclusion on just who this was. "I can't believe my luck, an eleven ace." He said as he took in her deadly features. To the two of them, the world was silent but the battle stull raged on all around them.

"So you heard of me?" Kallen asked as one of their DINNs came crashing down into the harbour near to them, exploding on impact with the water but not disturbing them in any way.

"How could I not, it's not every day one can tango with a knight of round and live to tell the tale." Bradley complimented as he got into a combative stance. "Killing you will be the highlight of my day!"

"Dream on!" Kallen replied as she charged him this time, showing that her machine was much, much faster than its older sister. "It'll take more than you can give to take me down!" She finished as she toom aim with her left arm mounted heavy blaster cannon and fired away.

"We shall see." Bradley said as he dodged the fire, keeping it to himself that she was really fast with that thing. "Valkyries!"

"Yes, my lord!" The four Vincents, who had just finished taking care of the GINNs, replied as they turned to surround the Guren and assist their lord in taking her head.

"Oh no you don't!" But that didn't seem to be how things were playing out as from above, SK came down on them as well, landing right in the way of the approaching Valkyries. "You're opponent," he said as he drew both his vibro blades. He had been waiting for a goof fight and now he might just get it. "Is me."

"That voice, Zero?" Marika as they took in this new threat as the Guren fought against Bradley.

"No, it isn't him. The machine has different colours. Must be one of his commanders." Liliana said as he drew both her blades and combined them together.

"And another high ranking terrorist has made an appearance, is today my birthday?" Bradley asked as he looked to the side where the five machine faced off as he duelled with Kallen.

"I have little patience for rats, Q1. Take care of him, I'll keep these brats busy." SK ordered as he got ready to take out these pilots. They had already taken out more than a few of their machines and needed to be taken care of.

"Yes sir!" Kallen may not take orders straight from SK but she respected the chain of command and his authority. He could also kick a whole lot of ass.

"Let's see how long you last!" SK yelled as he charged the four on, Marika went for a straight forward attack but he has far too skilled for that to be of any use against him.

'Too slow!' SK thought to himself as he jumped over Marika and while still in mid-flight, pulled off the move that his friends had taken to call the 'Spinzaku'. The spinning aerial kick aimed right for the head of another one of the Valkyries, taking it off with little difficulty.

'Predictable.' HE went on as he dodged the slash harken from Liliana by leaning back and then slashing the cord, letting the now useless slash harken fly off somewhere. As he also turned to meet the slash from another machine with his own, blocking he strike while he brought down his other blade on their leg, slicing into the armour and disabling their landspinner for that leg before jumping back to avoid the being shot by the other three.

"What is he?!" Marika yelled as they struggled to fight him off as he merely brought up his shield to protect himself from their fire as he closed the distance once more.

"Just keep fighting!" Another yelled as they had to defeat him, there was no if, ands or buts about it.

"Sir, incoming missiles. Danger close!" SK got an notification on his radio link as their submarines fired off another salvo of missiles towards the base, which when he took a second to inspect on his screens, was largely destroyed as fires burned everywhere and wrecked vehicles could be seen in all directions.

"Roger, Kallen get ready!" SK warned as he seemingly backed off from the Valkyries. Kallen did the same as she retreated from her battle with Bradley as the Britannians all got the heads up themselves of what was happening.

"Another barrage?" Liliana asked herself as she looked up, missing that SK hadn't actually backed off as the missiles started to rain down on them. But rather he used them to close the distance to such a degree that there was no way Liliana could defend herself.

"You're wide open!" SK yelled as he cut right through her Vincent, killing her in the process as he jumped back as the unit exploded.

"Liliana!" Marika, who happened to have been close the girl, screamed in pain as she saw the whole thing. But before any of them could try and counter, SK struck again, this time slicing off the head of another one of their units before impaling the machine though the chest and cockpit.

"Labe!" The remaining two Vincents cried as they saw their opponent was still up and ready to go. Those red eyes staring them down like the reaper.

"I have you!" Meanwhile, Bradley had managed to close the gap and lunged for the Guren's chest, aiming to run her through but before the weapon could reach, the machine grabbed, grabbed! His lance while the weapon was still active, that shouldn't even have been possible.

"Not quite." Kallen said as she held back the dangerous weapon as if it was nothing before she started to charge up the radiant wave surger, forcing Bradley to let go of the weapon as it soon bubbled up and exploded, being overwhelmed by the radiative energy being pumped into to.

"What? Blocked?" Bradley couldn't stop himself as he paused at the sight of his favoured weapon being reduced to molten sludge

"Is this your big move?" Kallen asked him as she stepped forwarded, seemingly unfazed by it all. "You're done!" She yelled as she quickly brought up her RWS and fired off a ranged attack he didn't know she was capable of.

"Shit!" Bradley cursed as he barely dodged that last one, he watched as the shot smashed right through a wall of a nearby building, giving him enough of an example to not get tagged by that. "What is that machine made of?" She asked himself as he spied that her right hand was still operational, but if it had held off his lance while the blaze was active, that shouldn't be the case, showing that that hand had some heavy armour. "It can even use ranged attacks with that arm. I have to keep my guard up."

"Three down, two to go." SK said to himself as he inspected the ruined Vincent he had just separated from its legs. Lucky for the pilot, they had rejected when he had done so.

"How…how is he this powerful?" The last remaining Valkyrie asked herself as she was terrified right now. Nothing they did seem to faze him, it was like he could see what they did before they did it. It was like that were fighting Bismarck. She wasn't given much time for thought as SK pulled out his blaster and took aim at the frozen girl, granting her a quick death as he pulled the trigger.

"Brother…" The last thoughts that Marika Soresi had were of her parents and brother as he was consumed by the flames as her unit exploded.

BOOM!

'Already?!' Bradley noted as he saw his last Valkyrie go down. He didn't think them invincible but he had hoped they would by him more time than this! 'They were supposed to be ace pilots! How did they all lose?!' He thought to himself as he found himself fighting a losing battle. Even now, he could tell that whatever defenders they had were being routed at every turn. From what he counted from the beginning of this when he boarded his machine, they had lost 60% of their forces.

"Dammit, I need to fall back, but to where-what!" Bradley muttered to himself as he tried to run but found that something held onto his machine's leg. To his shock, he looked down and saw one of the GINNs, the one whose leg he blasted off was the culprit. He didn't even realise that he had moved closer to the thing throughout his fight with the Guren.

"Die!" The pilot screamed as he held him down.

"Why you little-ARG!" Bradley moved to blow a hole right through him with his VARIS but in those few moments he was distracted, Kallen made her move. Within such a short time frame, she closed the distance he had made, blasted his VARIS to pieces with her own blaster before he gripped his machine's head with her right hand. The pressure of her fingers digging into it enough to cut through the armour and keep him firmly held on place.

"Thanks for the distraction boys, I can finish it from here." Kallen said as she looked towards the GINNs, especially the one that now let go of Bradley, already knowing what was going to happen.

"Hey, vampire-wanna-be, congrats." Kallen said as she spoke with the terrified knight of round. "You'll be the first knight of round that I've killed in combat. Now die like the scoundrel you are!" She finished as she hit him with a full powered blast, filling his machine with twice the energy needed to destroy him but wanted to really let loose.

"My life, taken by an eleven!" Bradley yelled as he felt the most agonizing pain shoot through him as he and his machine were pumped fill of radiation. He didn't suffer long as his unit soon gave in and blew up, taking him with it.!

BOOM!

'This StarGazer, it's incredible. I was able to completely overwhelm him, even in this Vincent of his.' Kallen thought to herself as she breathed out the lungful she was holding. She had never imagine she would hold this kind of advantage out their enemies. Even now, she was still in the green when it came to energy.

"I don't need to read minds to know what you're feeling right now, Kallen." SK said as he walked up to her. The GINNs that had gotten her before then helping the down machine to their feet and flying them towards one of their ships in the distance.

"S-sir!" Kallen caught herself.

"It's alright, no need to apologies. You have won a great victory for us. But we do have a schedule to keep to. Lockon, Zero and the others have already taken the north end of the harbour, Alleujah, Tieria and Liu Mei has control over the harbour entrance, LM, Akito and their group have found the enemy command centre and from the reports are saying, are about to destroy or capture them. Those ships are boxed in from land and sea." He explained to her as he looked over the tactical screens and saw that the number of defenders had dropped so low that this might as well been a clean-up operation. They didn't even need their ships to fire their turbolasers on them.

"Are we moving on?" Kallen asked as they two took the skies themselves and saw that whatever remained of the imperial fighters were mostly concentrated around the surrounded ships in the harbour. From what she knew, none of them had surrendered yet so they were still fighting.

"Yes, we need to crush the enemy resistance. By now, their command must have realised what is happening here. We have at best another 5 hours before imperial reinforcement can arrive." SK replied as they had already predicted that there would be some form of response from any of the imperial ships in the Pacific. Heck, if they were really serious, maybe the Avalon would make an appearance but their sources told them it was docked in Pendragon so the odds of that were extremely slim.

"But sir, we have enough power to fight them off." Kallen pointed out as they easily occupy the island. The local numbers had proven helpful enough in their affairs by acting as their eyes and ears on the ground. So they would only need to worry about the Britannian civilians in the nearby settlement who must have realised what was happening by now.

"We didn't came here to occupy, we came to destroy and get out. Zero has no interest in holding this position." SK reminded her as they had no motive to occupy the base, they were only sent to destroy it. After all, they still needed to head back to their ships, conduct maintenance and resupply before heading off for Japan.

"Yes sir." Kallen replied as she fell in line with him as they flew towards Zero's location. They didn't need to help LM, she was more than capable of finishing her part in this herself.

I was able to finish that whole scene with Shirley and Reyla as that was a point that I was surprised was never brought up in cannon, the fact that Shirley's father was a scientist working for Code-R. I don't know why no-one ever brings this up as I think it would have added to Shirley's story if she found this out and had to deal with it as she spent her whole life believing him to have been better than that. It's never even explained why he was working for Clovis in the first place as everyone from Suzaku to VV are shown to have reasons for their madness, that's why Shirley forgave Lelouch, she understood why he was fighting Britannia.

The scene with Cornelia and Euphemia was also a long time coming as I needed to make a time when she could come clean with her suspicions without her doing some impulsive like stealing a knightmare and riding out into battle to face him. Nonette hearing it is for my own reasons which will be revealed in due time. As stated, she's friends with Cornelia but she never meet Marianne in person, at least in this take she didn't. The battle itself was shorter then I imagined but as it based off my experience playing modern warfare 2 and ZAFT's attack on Alaska in Seed, I couldn't really make it any longer, not without any other characters on the Britannian side of things to use their POVs with Bradley dead, things would have kinda stalled if I dragged things out. As the battle itself was largely over, here are the states as the next chapter will only have the aftermath.

The Guren StarBlazer is a experimental, cutting edge knightmare frame model designed by Kaya Vesna of the Black Knight's Atlas R.O.A.D.S Institute and Dr. Rakshata Chawla and her team, manufactured by Atlas R.O.A.D.S Institute and used by the Black Knights. It is the first example of earth bound designs meeting greater level galactic technology and advancements, it is vastly different from anything other frame produced and used by the Black Knights and the Empire, a fact that is a source of pride for its manufactures. The only existing unit is in the possession of The Order of the Black Knights and is piloted by Kallen Kozuki.

Design and development:

Despite the fact that the unit was based on the Guren Type-02 originally designed by Rakshata, the frame is vastly different and superior to it in almost every way from its speed and acceleration despite its larger and heavier size to armouring as even with all shielding inactive the structure can still withstand up to 2 anti-tank rockets striking the larger parts with no damage. The most glaring difference to the original Guren would be its ion engine which allows the unit to fly even without any visible wings, which unlike many other frames, means that there is no external flight apparatus or wings to damage to affect its flight capabilities. The unit also gains a new and greatly improved Radiant wave surger built into the right arm which now rather then painted in a gold finish, it painted in a black finish which suites the frame better. Despite the fact that the unit shares many features to the Nightmare Tarantula unit used by Zero, many of these features are in fact, ungraded version of them which makes the Guren StarGazer the most high spec machine in the Black Knight arsenal, capable of movements and attacks three times faster than the Type-02, making it all but impossible for a none force sensitive opponent to keep up with it.

Equipment:

Power source: To meet the high demands of all the systems on-board and still offer excellent combat capabilities, the unit was fitted with the newly developed MK VI ion Supercharged Engine, a step up from the MK V used by the Nightmare Tarantula series of walkers. Not only does this mean that it burns through fuel more efficiently while decreasing fuel consumption but it also means that it has a much larger fuel reserve to its predecessor's Yggdrasil Drive and Energy Filler fuel packs, having an effective combat operation time three times as long. It also means that the unit is completely immune to the effects of Gefjun Disturbers of any kind, something that is only matched by 8th generation frames and above.

Cockpit Ejection System: Like most knightmares, the Guren StarGazer is equipped with an ejection block which can and will activate automatically if the pilot is unable or certain conditions are met. However, unlike other cockpit blocks, the unit is double hulled and pressurised to ensure pilot survivability even in the vacuum of space. It also can withstand the high speed and temperature of re-entry into a planet's atmosphere and comes equipped with a tracking beacon, communications array, parachutes, oxygen recycler/generator and self-inflating floaters. One last thing is the hull of the cockpit block can withstand the pressure found at depths of up to 2,300m.

Smooth ball propulsion system: Replacing the old Landspinner propulsion, is the smooth ball propulsion which allows for greater acceleration speed, traction control and balance. The unit has a top speed on land slightly higher than the Type-02 but it much easier to control and manoeuvre in combat across varying terrains.

Back-end Chaff smoke Dispenser: Like the older model, the StarGazer is equipped with Chaff smoke dispenser on the rear of the unit.

Advanced Factsphere sensor system: Unlike most earth made models, the StarGazer is equipped with an upgraded version of the factsphere which is not just more durable to damage but also can take in much more data and process it 25% faster, allowing for the pilot to have to larger, more clear view of their surroundings in combat.

Radiation Shielding: Due to the unit making use of much more powerful radiant wave surger, it was equipped with radiation shielding to protect itself and its pilot from any harmful radiation the weapon will emit.

EMP Shielding: Unlike the predecessor, the StarGazer comes standard with double layered EMP shielding which makes the unit immune to ECM of all kinds.

Particle Shielding: Like most military vehicles, the StarGazer is equipped with shielding which is designed to be just above the metallic surface of the exterior. This shielding however, is weaker than the one equipped in Nightmare Tarantula as it has a lower rating, however it can still take a beating from both Starfighter cannons, and anti-armour missiles and/or rockets.

Integrated Ion Drive Flight and propulsion System: The Ion drive flight system allows for the StarGazer to fly not just in vacuum but also in atmosphere. Though the unit is slower than the 9th generation frames such as Albion or S.E.I.T.E.N., it makes for this with superior armour, weaponry and situational awareness. The Unit is 45% faster than the Lancelot.

Cloaking Shield: As the unit was built for the bodyguard to Zero, it also has a cloaking shield which hides them from most sensors though it can only be used when most of the other shield are deactivated, leaving them vulnerable to attack if spotted.

Upgraded B.R.A.N.I.(Brani) A.I: A upgraded AI to the one used in older walkers, the Batttle Ready Artificial Navigator Intelligence or brani was designed with the intention of being fitted to high performance units.

Internal Heat dampener system:

Armament:

Right Arm-Inbuilt Upgraded Radiant Wave Surger: The new radiant wave surger is superior model to the previous model fitted to the type-02. Not only does the surger have an energy output twice that of the older model, it is made from stronger materials which means is harder to damage in close quarters. It also can be used at ranged, being able to fire a beam of radiative energy just as powerful as a hadron cannons, can be set to affect a shorter but wider range which can easily damage the circuitry of other craft such as 8th gen machines and down fighter craft. It also can still be used as a shield to block both projectile and energy based attacks, being able to block and destroy the Blaze luminous lance used by the Percival while being able to completely block the hadron blaster used by the Lancelot Conquista.

Duel Chest-mounted Slash Harken: Unlike the older model, this unit was equipped with two slash harkens rather than the one.

Left Arm-mounted Heavy blaster cannon: To facilitate ranged combat, the StarGazer had the grenade launcher replaced with a heavy blaster cannon normally mounted on Starfighters. The weapon has a 85 round magazine and each shot is 30% stronger than one shot from the standard rifle used by mass production models such as the GINN, making it effective against other knightmares and armoured targets such as G1s and APCs.

12-tube Missile Launchers: Mounted to the sides of the cockpit, just behind the head of the unit, they not only load standard missiles, but also chaff smoke bombs and a portable version of the Gefjun Disturber called Gefjun Net, though this was a feature added later on.

Hip mounted 65mm Foldable HEAT Railguns: At Zero's request, smaller version of his own machine railguns are mounted to the unit to allow the unit maximum attack power even during a melee. A single shot from one of these weapons can penetrate the armour of even a Vincent and either rip odd limbs or completely destroy the unit.

Head mounted Anti-personal machine guns: Unlike a great deal of other knightmares, the Stargazer is equipped with smaller weapon meant solely for dealing with infantry sized targets. Kallen has used them in the past to instead shot down and destroy grenades and missiles fire at her.

Vibro Knife: The final upgrade to the weapons arsenal is the newly added vibro blade which is much stronger and tougher than the older blade used by the Type-02, being able to contend with MVS blades without structural damage.
