Once we got to Gothi's house Dad leads us into the house and into the room where Ingrid and Bjorn were staying in. As I walked in, I noticed that they were sitting up eating some soup that Gothi had made for them.

"Afternoon Gothi, here is the recipe that we retrieved from Mala," I said handing the recipe over to our elder/healer. Gothi walked over to some sand and started to draw her symbols. I followed after her to see what she was saying. Before I could tell the others what she said Gobber bet me to it. "She says thank you and she is asking how Thalia is?"

"Astrid said that she has not been eating hardly anything at all. If Astrid is lucky she said she will only take 2 to 3 bites then she won't eat anymore. Astrid also said that her fever has been getting higher and she sleeps a lot." I explained.

"She says that all of those symptoms are normal for when a child has a fever and that she will get started straight away on the cure for her." Gobber translated for the group even though I knew what she was saying.

"Thank you Gothi," I said to her who nodded her head at me. Gothi then left the room to start on the cure. "Right that problem is sorted now on to the other problem," I said turning back to face my two riders.

"Hello Ingrid, Bjorn. How are you feeling?" I asked the pair. "We are fine now Hiccup, thanks to your Healer," Ingrid said. "Can you tell me what happened out there and why did you not return to the Edge after your scouting?" I asked them.

Bjorn took a breath before answering my question, "We were out scouting when we got caught by a Dragon Hunter boat. We started to fire at the boat so we could set the dragons that they had caught free. When they started attacking back."

"We were outnumbered, and more boats keep coming. We were shoot down with dragon root arrows and we then crashed on an island not far from where the boats were. Once we crashed landed, we saw the Hunters coming towards the shore. So, we knew we had to hide otherwise we were in big trouble if found." Ingrid said adding on the story.

"What happened after that?" Mum asked them. "Well, we found a cave and we hid in the cave till the dragon root passed through the dragon's system as we did not have the cure for the dragon root on us. And once the Dragon Root had left their system we had to get off the Island and we knew you were at Berk so we thought Berk would be closer and we just made it before we fell out of the sky." Bjorn said finishing their story.

"Was Viggo and Ryker on the boat?" I asked needing to know the answer." No, we never saw them at all." Ingrid said. "Where are our Dragons?" Bjorn asked all of us. "Once you had crashed landed her I got a couple of Villagers to carry you to here while I led your Dragons to the Arena where Cloudjumper has been staying with Bluey. They are fine they have been feed and are well looked after." Mum said to them.

"I am glad you both got away from the Hunter and that you returned to us safely. But get some more rest and once you are healed then you can fly home on your Dragons. But first, you both need to rest and heal." I said. "Thank you Hiccup." Bjorn and Ingrid said then I walked out of the room and towards Gothi.

"Gothi if you could let me know when the cure is ready, and I will bring Thali here to you." I requested. Gothi nodded her head letting me know that she understood what I said. I then walked out of the house with Dagur, Heather, Gobber, Dad and Mum following behind me.

"What are you going to be doing now Son?" Mum asked me. "We are going to go to Astrid's since that is where Thali is and Heather and Dagur are going to tell me what The Defender of the Wing's Healer told them. Then I was going to ask some of the Villagers if they mind helping me build a house for Astrid, Thalia and I." I explained to my parents.

"I will deal with the building of your house Son. Just tell me where you want it and I will get a few people on to it. But it will take at least a few days to complete it." Dad said. "That is fine Dad and I would the house near your house but closer to the forset thank you. But we better get going." I said bidding goodbye to my parents and started to head towards Astrid's house with Dagur and Heather with me.

Stoick's Pov:

I stood there with my wife and my good friend Gobber watching my Son and his two friends walk off towards the Hoffersons household. "Well, I better get some Villagers to start on the house for him," I said. "I will go and check on the Dragons while you do that then," Val said.

"And I will get back to the Forge," Gobber said. Once I said goodbye and told Val that I would see her at home later. She kissed my cheek then headed towards the Arena where the Dragons were staying.

Gobber said his goodbye then he headed towards the forge to do who knows what. I, on the other hand, went around the Village gathering a few Villagers to help build Hiccup's house for him and his daughter.

Once we got to the spot where Hiccup wanted his house to be, I started to give orders out so we could start getting the base of the house down. While we were putting the base of the house down, I was lost in my thoughts thinking about what has happened over the last few days.

I mean I found out after 6 years that my son was alive and that he was not killed by a Night Fury just that he ran away on one, and not only that I also have a Granddaughter who is only three years old. I still could not believe that Hiccup has been married the had a child.

Not only that I can't believe my wife is even alive after all these years, I mean I watched her get taken away from Berk by a Dragon and it turns out she has been living with dragons for 20 years and now she is back.

I just can't believe any of this even if the facts are right in front of me. I am scared that this is all a dream and whn I wake up it will be all over. But I know it is not a dream as I have Gobber pinch me a couple of times just to make sure I am not dreaming.

Heather's Pov:

When we got to Astrid Hofferson's house. Hiccup knocked on the door and we waited a minute for the door to open. Astrid was the one to let us in.

After we were inside and sitting in the lounge and I was thinking about what happened with Astrid when Dagur and I had just landed on Berk. I wonder what was wrong with her. Before I could think much more on it, I was bought out of my thoughts by my brother who gave me a wee tap on the shoulder.

I turned to face him to see what he wanted. But when I faced him, I noticed that he had turned to face Hiccup and Astrid. So, I turned to face them, and I noticed how close they were sitting together. They were nearly sitting on top of each other like literary. There wasn't much space between the two that was for sure.

That was when I noticed that Thalia wasn't with Astrid, so I decided to ask where she was since I was wondering, "Where is Thalia?"

"Oh… uh… She is asleep upstairs in my room. She has been asleep the whole time we have been back here." She said. "But that was over an hour ago that you left the centre of the Village with Thalia, she shouldn't still be asleep. Have you checked on her to make sure she is okay?" I said starting to get up.

I don't know why I was worrying about Thalia I guess it was because I have known her since she was born and that I helped raise her and that I think that Astrid doesn't know what she is doing. She doesn't know how to take care of a child. I guess I feel like I should be the one taking care of her instead of Astrid.

"Heather she is very unwell, and she gets sicker by the hour, so I think she deserves to sleep as long as possible," Astrid said.

Astrid's Pov:

I had just sat down beside Hiccup after letting him, Heather and Dagur into the house. I was wondering why they were here, I mean I understood Hiccup's reasoning for being here as his Daughter is asleep upstairs but that did not explain why the other two were here though.

I was bought out of my thought when Heather asked me, "Where is Thalia?"

"Oh… uh… She is asleep upstairs in my room. She has been asleep the whole time we have been back here." She said. "But that was over an hour ago that you left the centre of the Village with Thalia, she shouldn't still be asleep. Have you checked on her to make sure she is okay?" Heather said as she was starting to get up.

"Heather she is very unwell, and she gets sicker by the hour, so I think she deserves to sleep as long as possible," I said stopping her from standing up. She sat back down and looked at me with a very straight face that I could not read at all. 'What is her problem with?' I thought.

"I am well aware that she is unwell Astrid. I was there when she came down with this sickness, but I am saying that if she sleeps any longer, she will not sleep tonight at all." Heather said to me. I was taken back from the tone that she used towards me.

'Who does she think she is telling me how to look after Thalia.' I thought. "Heather you haven't been here at all so you don't know what has been happening. All Thalia does is sleep. She will wake up for an hour or two then she will go back to sleep." I said trying to stay calm and not lose my temper.

"Well, I don't think that is good enough. I don't think she should sleep this long. So, I am going to go and wake her up." Heather said once again standing up and walking over to the stairs.

"Heather does not wake her up. She needs to get as much rest as she can." I stated. Heather stopped walking and turned to me. "Who has said that she needs to sleep this much hmm?"

"Gothi told me to let her sleep if that is what she wants to do. Her body is fighting sickness and each day she gets weaker from this sickness. The only hope is the cure that you bought back with you." I explained.

"I am still going to wake her up," Heather said ignoring what I just said. "Heather!" Dagur said. Heather ignored her brother and carried on walking towards the stairs.

"What is your problem with me, Heather?" I asked her. "I have been nothing but nice to you," I added. Heather stopped walking and turned around to face me.

"I don't think you can handle a childlike Thalia." She said. "And what does that mean," I said starting to get a bit snippy with her. "Just what I said. You don't know how to raise a child and even on how to be a Mother to her. You have never been around children before and I don't think Thalia should be around you at all." She said getting hyped up on the argument.

"If you are trying to tell me that I don't what I am doing then I already know that I don't know what I am doing. And your right I have never been around children before I met Thalia. But it is a learning experience. I am learning how to be a Mother as I go." I said raising my voice a bit.

"You shouldn't have to learn how to be a mother. You should already know." Heather said also raising her voice. "Why do you even care about how I raise Thalia. It is not like she is your daughter or anything. You are not her Mother" I said getting Angier.

"You're not her mother as well. So, you should stop pretending to be her mother." Heather yelled. "Heather, I think that is enough." Hiccup said standing up beside me and taking my hand trying to calm me down, but it was not working at all.

"Excuse me. I am her Mother." I yelled. "No, you are not. Your, not her real Mother. You are only a stepmother and that is all you ever will be to her."

I was starting to lose my patients with Heather, and I knew Hiccup could see that as well. "I know I am not her Birth Mother, but I am all she has. I am her mother and she has even asked me if she can call me mummy. And I said yes that she could." I yelled out.

"Now I want you to stop ganging up on me and stop telling me what I should be doing because I have had enough of you." When I said that Heather looked taken back at my words. Good, maybe she might keep her mouth shut from now on.

"Excuse me Hiccup but I don't want to hear anything else so if you need me. I will be upstairs in my room with Thalia." I said. I kissed him on the cheek and pulled my hand away from his hand then I headed for the stairs and left the room.

Once I got to my room where Thalia was sleeping, I noticed that she was awake when I entered the room. "Hey, sleeping head," I said as I calmed down a bit. I walked over to the bed and sat on the edge of it.

"Why do you have tears in your eyes?" She asked me. "It is nothing Honey. I am fine. How are you feeling?" I asked her. "It hurts Mummy."

I gasped in shock that she had called me Mummy. I mean I did tell her that she could, but I never expected for it to happen. I came out of my shock and asked her, "What hurts Darling?"

"My tummy Mummy. My tummy hurts really bad Mummy." She said with tears in her eyes. "I know Darling and you will be all better soon. Okay." I got off the bed and started to leave the room when she called out, "Mummy don't go." Thali said crying full-on tears now.

"I will be back I promise, I am just going to go and get something first, Okay," I told her. She nodded her head and I turned to leave the room and headed to the bathroom so I could get a cold cloth to put on her head.

Once I came back into the room, I placed the cold cloth on her forehead and sat back down on the edge of the bed. "Mummy please stay?" She asked me. "I am not going anywhere. Would you like for me to hop in beside you?" I asked my daughter.

She nodded so I then pulled the covers back and hopped in beside her. I then wrapped my arm around her a held her as she cried into me. "Shh, Shh. It is going to be alright. Mummy is here." I said. I held her until I heard her breathing go even and I knew she was asleep once again.
