Chap 27
2 Dec 2299 Saturday continued
Lernean had offered the two men a seat on her back and then swam back to the island. She spoke to Ryuu as they traveled.
"The beauty is broken. She needs medical care. I tried to talk to her but she does not understand."
"Yes, Lernean. I am the only one of my siblings who can talk to other species. Yuki is a pilot, a very good one I have been told by our brother Kyo."
"Is that love?" Lernean queried still curious about the concept.
"Yeah, that's love," Ryuu nodded.
"Not your love?" Lernean continued.
"Kyo's love. My love is-," Ryuu paused. 'Could he say that? Would Suzy forgive him? His feelings hadn't changed. Yes he could say it.' "My love is in Japan waiting for me. I plan to ask her to mate me as soon as my parents approve."
Sesshomaru watched the horizon. He couldn't understand the conversation but he had a feeling it was about Suzy. They would work everything out. He just needed to talk to his mate.
A small isle appeared on the horizon.
Sesshomaru turned into a sphere and zoomed ahead.

"Father!" Yuki rasped out, her one good arm reaching for her rescuer.
"My Delight, It's okay. Your brother and Lernean found you. Rest safely. We are here."
"Lernean? Lernean Hydra?" Yuki looked up at her father in surprise and lowered herself to the sand. "The ancient one is alive?"
"Yes. Your brother can tell you all about it. Let me check on you."
"Oh wow," Yuki appeared star struck. "Um—Ah- ah—my shoulder is shattered, my legs are broken and I have a huge bruise surrounding my chest. And my throat hurts."
Sesshomaru went to work doing his own assessment and then set the broken leg bones and splinted Yuki's shattered shoulder.
"We need to get you to the hospital, Yuki."
"Okay, Father," Yuki was staring as Ryuu stepped off Lernean's back and came to her side.
Yuki pointed at Lernean. "Is she the one that saved me?" Her voice croaked as she spoke.
"Yes, Lernean said she found you in the debris field and brought you here so you would not drown."
"Please thank her for me. I would bow but I am not able." Then she whispered, "That's really her, Lernean Hydra? The one from the constellation? The ancient one?"
"Yeah," Ryuu replied. "Dad, Father, and I saved her 200 years ago."
"Wow! You have to tell me that story!"
"Let me just tell her you're going to be ok. She was worried. Just give me a minute." Ryuu walked back to the great dragon and spoke to her.
Sesshomaru had finished all he could do.
"Yuki, I need to tell you something important about Kyo."
Yuki turned her attention 100% on her father. "What about Kyo?"
"Kyo had a heart attack when he heard of your accident-"
"WHAT!" Yuki's voice cracked and failed.
"We need to get word to him that you are alive."
Yuki nodded vehemently, tears welling in her eyes.
"I want to see him, Father. Please. He can't die on me. I love him so much," she whispered.
"Perhaps you should tell him that," Sesshomaru remarked.
Yuki nodded again.
Ryuu returned.
"Father, Lernean wants to offer some of her poison as a healing tonic for Yuki. She says that one drop of it mixed with one drop of yours and two of Our Sea should speed Yuki's healing, provided Yuki tolerates poison."
"Let's talk to her together. We'll be right back, Yuki."
As the males talked to Lernean, Yuki practiced deep breathing healing katas. She focused on her voice first.
By the time the males returned with a sea shell containing the healing potion Yuki's voice was healing.
"I'm ready Father," Yuki braced herself.
The poison was mixed into the nearby sand and then the sand packed around the broken legs.
Yuki felt a tingling sensation on her skin.
"Focus on your breathing, Yuki."
"Yes Father."
The process took ten minutes. The sand cracked and fell away and Yuki moved her legs.
"They feel great, Father. I can move them without pain. I didn't know she could do that," Yuki stared in amazement.
"She said no one ever befriended her before so no one ever knew."
"I'll gladly be her friend!" Yuki nodded. "I owe her a life debt."
"She said that she owed me one and now we were even," Ryuu shared.
Yuki started to get up to bow to the great dragon when she felt the pain in her shoulder.
"Ouch!"
"You need to lie down in the sand, Yuki. I'll pack the sand around your shoulder. Don't move or it'll set wrong."
"Yes Father." Yuki laid flat, her shoulders as even as she could.
The sand poison mix was applied to her shoulder. More bones were broken so it took longer to heal. During that time Sesshomaru attempted to contact Inuyasha.

He tried the rest of the searchers.

He tried the castle control center.

Sighing he realized they would have to wait. He rubbed his mark in an attempt to send his mate some good news. His mate seemed so far away.
'I need to get back to my mate.'
Sesshomaru took the time to find out what Yuki remembered and gathered what Ryuu could relay from Lernean.
Our Sea was disturbed. The climate changes were upsetting its balance.
