Chapter 26
As she is being pulled off of Frankie by a few people, including Maura, Jane finally calms her breathing down, she is shaking from being so angry at Frankie. Still glaring at Frankie who is being helped up by Nina and a couple of other people, as Frankie meets Jane's eyes, he is not aware that he has gone to far with all of his actions. Jane take a step towards him, he take a stumbling step by, Jane speaks "I have warned you already about you talking about my wife and kids, and other stuff you know nothing about, Frankie. You continually to ignore what others and myself have told you. I am beyond furious with you, you have push, and push me and I keep ignoring you, but today is the day it Stops. Do you understand me. I should beat you senseless, especially with the remarks about fucking my wife because you are a real man, about me needing to be fuck by a real man, and the miscarriage I suffered several years ago. You are not a real man, will never be a real man, you are a weak excuse of a man, you are your father's son, a drunk. An arrogant son of a bitch, you have a woman that loves you, children that love you, and are to stupid to see what you have, because you are so envious and jealous of me." Cavanaugh tells Frankie get your ass in the showers and meet me in my office in 15 minutes, it is time you and me have a long overdue talk and to bring his wife Nina. Turning to Jane, he ask if she is okay, telling her to let Dr. Isles check her out, take a shower, and meet him in his office in 15 minutes, and to bring Maura with her.
As Frankie is getting dressed in the locker room, he turns around to see one very angry Dr Maura Rizzoli-Isles. Swallowing the lump in his throat he opens his mouth to speak, but is cut off. Maura clears her throat, "Frankie do have any idea what you have done to your sister, our children and me? I am so sorry, Maura. Shut up you aren't sorry, you just sorry you got called out by your sister, and that you got your ass beaten by Jane. You a poor excuse of a man. I watched you for years, following Jane around like a puppy, trying to be like her, you force a kiss on me knowing that Jane and I already had feelings for each other, you got upset when you found out that she was pregnant and we were going to raise our child together, and finally you keep hurting her repeatedly by all the actions you do. I warned you not to hurt to one person who means the world to me, and our children, but you ignored it. There are consequences to your actions you will regret no taking my warning more seriously. With that said I have to meet Cavanaugh, Nina, and my wife in Cavanaugh's office, you better hurry you don't want to be late, she turns and leaves.
Walking into Cavanaugh's office, not knowing the fate ahead of him, Frankie is nervous. Seeing the Mayor, Chief of Police, Korsak, Jane, Maura, Nina and Cavanaugh, he nods. Frankie take a seat next to your wife Nina please, the reason you are here is because of your increasing disrespect of your supervisors as well as others, as well of other things. Do you have any questions so far before this meeting continues? Nodding no. Frankie, do you have any idea what it is like to deal with the messes that made by other officers and yourself? For the record years ago you screwed up a few very important homicide cases, it was then that you were put on suspension. The Governor, Mayor, Chief of Police and myself reached out not only to Dr Isles, but also to your sister, Jane begging them to come back, and help us straighten out the huge messes, not only you made by also Dr. Kent Drake. It really pisses all of us involved in asking Dr Isles and Segerant-Detective Jane Rizzoli to return and help us out. Just so you know the only reason you still have your job is because of your sister, Jane. Over the years since she has returned, I have heard, as well as witness the way you have treated her. I have wanted to fire your sorry ass for years, but that woman sitting right there has asked me not to, but after today you will be lucky if I don't. Sitting there with his mouth wide open, and a confused look on his face. The Mayor, Chief of Police and Korsak all explained to him their opinions and views on the matter and also voiced what Cavanaugh should do. Maura, Nina and Jane sat quietly, observing Frankie's facial and body language.
When it was all said and done, Frankie was demoted back to a beat cop, only because Jane asked for him to be given one last chance. He was ordered to stay out of the Homicide bullpen, and Morgue, to stay away from Jane and Maura. After leaving Cavanaugh's office, he approached Nina and was asking her if she believed what just happened, would they be able to make it with his salary cut. Nina tells him that she is leaving him, taking the kids, and that Cavanaugh had approved her leave of absence and they were going away for a while. Not to try to contact her, and he needs to work on himself. That the way he acted in the gym today, was very disturbing to everyone, especially her. He was not the man she fell in love with, married and had kids with. Before she turned to walk out the door, she says Take care of yourself Frankie Rizzoli, and then she was gone.
