Walking through the Zeta Beam, Robin entered the Batcave tired, her legs slightly dragging. Tim was typing away on the computer with Damian watching over his shoulder, standing beside him, the two of them have yet to acknowledge her. Jason, who was laying on the couch sat up at hearing her arrival, he waved as a greeting which the thirteen-year-old nodded to, walking over to him.
When she stood in front of him, without a warning she sat down beside him with a thump before resting her head on his shoulder sighing.
"You okay?" Jason asked, chuckling at his younger sibling. The younger just hummed and lazily removed her mask.
"Just tired," she said before snuggling into his shoulder some more.
From the computer, Damian turned to look at his two youngest siblings. "How was the mission?" he asked.
"Met Psimon, a meta-human that works under Queen Bee," Dixie explained lazily. "Miss M snuck into the tent where he saw her despite being camouflage and we all had our memories of the past six months wiped. Fine now tho, few memories are still missing but it's coming back slowly."
"Are you okay?" Tim asked in concern, turning to face them. "What happened?"
Dixie shrugged, "Not sure, it was Miss M who fought him, she just told us about what happened afterward."
Damian looked over his sister before nodding. "You and Todd should head to bed, the two of you we'll just wait for Father," he said.
Dixie simply nodded, getting up to change out of her uniform as Jason turned to look at him, sticking his tongue out playfully.
In the locker room, Dixie was changing into her home clothes when she hears her phone laying on top of the bench going off. She hears her brothers quiet down when they hear the sound of the ringing as well which causes her to smile, rolling her eyes in exasperation. Walking out of the locker room she looks at the caller ID thinking it was Wally but was shocked at the caller.
"Gotta go! Night guys!" she says in a hurry before climbing up the stairs to the manor.
When she was out of earshot, she picks up the phone in a hurry, confused why he was calling her.
"Uncle Haly?" she answers, confused.
"Hey Dixie," the ringmaster answers sounding quite happy and tired.
"I'm happy to hear from you Uncle Haly but why are you calling so early in the morning?" she asks as she enters her room, closing the door shut behind her.
"Early in the morni- oh, I'm so sorry Dixie, I forgot about different time zones," Haly chuckled apologetically. "The sun just set from where I'm at but I've just wanted to call and say that the circus is going to go on a European tour by the end of the year and have another tour here in the US next year."
"That's great to hear Uncle Haly!" Dixie smiled, feeling excited about him and the others going on tour outside of America. "You must be pretty tired planning this, I hope you'll have a successful tour! I'm so happy for you guys!"
It wasn't only her that was greatly effected after the loss of her family, Haly and the rest of the circus took the loss to heart and hasn't gone on a full tour ever since. Hearing that they were going to tour both in Europe and America made her happy for them.
"Yeah, the boys are all excited about it," Haly replied. "But that's not actually why I called."
"It's not?" she asked confused, sitting on her bed.
"No, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to perform here, one last time," Haly confessed. "You see, we'll be stopping over at Gotham for a show next year and some of the others asked if you would want to perform or at the very least watch the show."
Dixie felt conflicted at this. On one hand, she wanted to say yes but on the other, she was scared that if she did, it would be easier for people to connect her with Robin. "I- I'm not sure Uncle Haly," Dixie said, slightly stuttering. "I mean, I would love to perform but I'm not sure if I can."
Haly hummed as if he expected this. "I understand, Dixie. Well, it would still be great to see you nonetheless if you choose to come and watch."
"Thanks for the invitation, Uncle Haly, I'll think about it," Dixie smiled sadly. "I have to go through, it's still too early for me to be up."
"It's great to hear from you again, if you need me or change your mind, I'll be here," Haly said before ending the call.
Dixie stayed there, sitting on her bed clutching her phone for a while, her mind racing before sighing and laying back on her bed, staring at the ceiling. Her phone pinged as she received a text. Lazily, she brought the phone over her face, reading the message, it was from Wally.
Hey, just got home bout to head to bed, hope u get to bed as well :))
Smiling to herself she stared at the message before sitting back up. Staring at her phone one more time she placed it on her bedside table before getting under her bed covers. She laid in her bed trying to sleep but found herself lost in thought over what to do with Haly's invitation. Sighing, she turned to her side, closing her eyes. She'll think about it next time, she has a lot of time to come with a final reply.
