I do not own Harry Potter or anything you recognize from the Harry Potter World. I do not own Dorian Gray. I do however own Hazel Gray, Morgan Gray and the idea behind this story.
If you are sensitive to extreme violence and or blood please skip the part starting at the next line break labeled Violence.
Dorian was both seething in a violent rage, and strangely calm and quiet at the same time. It was his eyes, you see, his eyes that held the anger and frustration whereas his face was as smooth and calm as marble.
"Lord Potter, Lady Potter, I am afraid I come bearing news most upsetting. You see, twice now my Heir and Lord Prince, whom I have sponsored for some time now, have had their very lives endangered by your two boys. I would state your Heir and adoptive son, but that title is too good for them." Dorian's wording was the highest insult, but the House of Potter knew better than to start refuting until they knew exactly what James and Sirius had tried to do.
"You see, during Lord Prince's sixth year at Hogwarts, a school every single member of my family has attended since its inception, he was attacked by your boys, the 'Marauders' and nearly lost his life to a werewolf because of young Mr. Black's 'prank' as the Headmaster calls it." Again with the insults, and he could see them preparing to defend Lupin, but frankly, he did not give one wit. "My Heir did not wish to see a boy only wanting an education to be cast out and harmed, so nothing was officially done to rectify the error in judgment. I was willing to turn a blind eye so long as the issues ceased. I am here to inform you, that they did not."
The Potters looked at one another, fear lurking in their eyes.
"After Yule break during their seventh year, your two boys," the word was said with such venom it made the two Purebloods flinch, "attempted to murder my Heir. Not only did they attack her unprovoked, they sealed ice over her after dumping her into the Black Lake in the heart of winter. My Heir would have perished, and a blood debt would have been owed to me by her passing had Lord Prince not stepped in along with young Lord LeStrange to rescue her. Are you aware of the price I would have been well within my rights to demand, Lord and Lady Potter?" His voice was ice, all warmth that Severus had known completely gone. Had he not been expecting it, he himself would have been shivering.
"Surely it was all a misunderstanding, Lord Gray!" Lord Potter was doing much like Albus had, making Dorian flick his hand and send the man flying into a different chair as he faced the mother of the boys.
"That was not the last instance, Lady Potter," here he was snubbing the male Potters all around, and Severus couldn't help but mentally rejoice in the fact. "I am well within my rights to demand their very lives. However, I am willing to settle instead for my pound of flesh for the instance that has brought me to your door."
Flicking his wand, something he did only for show, he summoned an old scroll, and handed it to the Lady of the House.
"I will take my vengeance for Lord Prince and my Heir from their backs, Lady Potter. If you wish to deny me my rights, I shall take this to court, and you and your House will be banished from every Society that the Regal and Ancient House of Gray has holdings in. In essence, you will be banished straight to the Muggle World, and not in a very nice area of it. Is. That. Clear?" He had to bite out the last line, unable to contain his fury any longer.
Bowing her head to regard the scroll, knowing exactly what laid within, she nodded solemnly. "Yes, you are perfectly clear, Lord Gray. I shall summon the boys to the back courtyard, and offer my own crop should you desire it for their punishment."
"That shall not be necessary, I brought my own instruments." His shoulders were thrown back, his spine ramrod straight, and with a flick of his fingers the boys were tugged forward from under the invisibility cloak and landed gracelessly at his feet.
Sneering down at them, he flicked his fingers a few more times, sending them into the front of the sprawling manor and lashed securely to the hedge where anyone passing by would bear witness to the boy shame.
!Violence starts here!
Following them outside, he regarded the stripped and unmarred backs of James Potter and Sirius Black for several long heartbeats. Severus standing stoically at his side, before Dorian drew his wand, transfiguring it into a barbed cat o' nine tails of sturdy leather. Pulling his arm back, he started striking both boys. Disregarding their cries of pain and the blood pooling on their skin and around their feet from his viciousness.
He did not stop until their backs had no choice but to scar, and scar painfully. They were both also unconscious, after having been revived with ice water being splashed upon their faces several times. He did not look any calmer upon returning his wand to its proper form, or when he released the boys to lay in heaps in their own blood.
!End Violence!
"See to it they suffer and heal naturally. They are only permitted blood replenisher because I want them to live through this and never forget. If I see them again, and they have not learned their lesson, Lady Potter, I shall invoke the olde laws myself and see them dead." With that, he strode off, Severus inclining his head the barest amount before following behind his sponsor. While their punishment was fitting, it still didn't correct the wrong done.
Nothing, either male felt, would ever correct that wrong.
