"Bucky, I can tell something's been on your mind since we got here, why don't you want to talk to me?" Wynry asked as they walked along the beach hand in hand.
Bucky blew out a sigh
"Because, this was supposed to be our little get away ... And I wanted to wait until afterwards to deal with it. I didn't want it ruining our first chance to have some REAL time together."
He glanced at her as he smiled ruefully
"But it IS kind of ruining it anyway, isn't it?"
He stopped walking and faced her, it was time to come clean and tell her what was really going on, the truth of why they hadn't been able to see each other, save a few stolen albeit VERY passionate moments for the last few months or so.
"My parents aren't as ... Accepting of our relationship as I thought they were. That's why we haven't been able to see each other as much, they ... Don't want us together." He said, his voice cracking with emotion.
She suddenly flinched away from him as tears shimmered in her beautiful eyes.
"Is that why you brought me all the way out here? Because you're ASHAMED of me?!" She said
"What?! No! I've wanted to bring you here ever since I met you! I just ... I knew what would happen between us if we were alone so I wanted to wait until the right time." He said as a blush dusted his cheeks.
He took her hands in his.
"I'm NOT ashamed of you, I love you. When my parents get back, we're going to have a talk and if they disown me then so be it. I have a trust fund that my grandparents set up for me when I was born, when I turned eighteen, ownership of the account transferred to me. They also set me up with their investment guy." He said, unable to stop a grin from crossing his face.
Wynry's mouth fell open in shock, was he saying what she THOUGHT he was saying?!
"I'm sorry if I made it seem like I was ashamed of you I just ... I had to... You know ... Play along until my eighteenth birthday, when ownership of the accounts would be transferred from them to me and I would have control over them. TRUST me when I tell you that it was the hardest thing I've ever done" he said as he squeezed her hands for emphasis.
She suddenly leapt forward into his arms and kissed him.
You're so amazing ... How did I ever get so lucky?" She said as she placed her hand against his cheek.
"That's funny, because I happen to think I'm the lucky one." He replied
Wynry then gifted him with that amazing smile of hers as he wrapped his arm around her waist and she and leaned her head against his shoulder as they walked along the beach.
Wyatt's monster side had almost completely taken over at this point, despite that fact, he was surprisingly gentle as he laid her down onto the bed.
She took this opportunity to admire him as he crouched over her, his arms supporting his weight. His eyes glowed brightly and his fangs gleamed in the dim light of the bedroom. His breath came in rapid pants
Eliza LOVED how animal like he was, and if she was being honest with herself, it was a major turn on.
" So damn amazing ...! " she trailed off as she reached up and ran her hands through his hair the way she knew he loved.
Wyatt made a discernable sound deep in his throat as he slowly leaned down and kissed her
Eliza's eyes fluttered open just as the first rays of the sunrise began to filter between the small spaces between the drapes. She turned over in bed and found the other side empty, disappointment resounded through her heart.
Were the amazing events of last night merely just a dream? Or ... had he left sometime during the night?
Dread settled deep in the pit of her stomach, certainly he wouldn't do that... would he?
She threw the covers back and swung her legs over the bed. It was then she noticed it, the door to the terrace was cracked ever so slightly.
She opened it to find him standing at the railing, watching the sunrise, his breath hanging silvery in front of him in the chill of the early morning.
A blush dusted his cheeks as she joined him.
"Hey." He said as he grinned shyly at her.
She smiled softly in reply as she joined him at the railing as the sun broke fully over the horizon, bathing them in orange light.
"So ... Zed and Addison are leaving today" He said
"Yeah." She replied, unable to keep the disappointment out of her tone even as she felt a pang of guilt. Zed and Addy were her friends ... No, they were more like family and she was SUPPOSED to be happy about their return, and she was for the most part.
But she also didn't know when they would have another chance to spend any proper quality time together. Now she understood how Zed and Addy must have felt when they were forced to be apart.
Eliza blew out a sigh, there was so much about love that she hadn't known, and had been so wrong about.
"What are you thinking about? " Wyatt's voice roused her from her thoughts
"I was just thinking about how we... Might not get another chance to spend time together... Like this for a while." She said
"Yeah, I was thinking about that, too, it's why I couldn't get back to sleep, So I came out here to watch the sunrise." He replied.
Eliza wrapped her arm around his and leaned her head against his shoulder.
"We'll figured out something." She said
Wyatt didn't reply, he merely rested his cheek stop her head as they watched the sunrise together.
"Is that everything?" Zed asked as he and Addison hauled the last of their luggage into the RV.
"Yeah, I think so." Addison replied as Isabella, Myra and Javal met them with Zach and Angelina in tow
"We're all going to miss you." She said as they all hugged.
"Thanks for looking after them while we packed." Zed said
"Are you kidding?! The pleasure was totally all ours." Myra said with a grin.
"I don't wanna go!" Zach said sadly
Zed knelt down in front of his son
"I know bud, I don't want to go either, but we both have things we need to be back for. Your mom and dad have people depending on them, and you my little man are going to be starting junior football camp soon! You don't want to miss that, right?"
Addison smiled at them as she shifted Angelina from one hip to the other, her heart swelling with so much love that she thought it might burst. She had always known that Zed would make an amazing father one day, but how great he was at it made her fall in love with him all over again every time she saw him with their kids.
"And this isn't goodbye, we can always come back, isn't that right?" He said as he looked to Isabella
"Absolutely!" She exclaimed
"Yes!" Zach cried as he embraced Zed.
"I don't mean to be a buzz kill but we'd better get on the road if we want to beat traffic." Javal said.
Zed held out his hand out to his son
"Come on little dude, let's go home." He said
Zach grinned up at his father as he took hold of his hand
"Bye Aunt Isabella!" He said, turning to wave at her as they boarded the RV
"Bye! Have a safe trip!" She said as the door closed and they were off.
Bucky blew out a sigh as he packed the last of his things into his mighty shrimps duffle.
Tomorrow his parents would be back from their cruise, and that is when he planned to have a talk with them that he hoped would go well, but the heavy feeling in the pit of his stomach told him that it probably wouldn't.
It pained him to be estranged from his parents, but if they didn't accept his relationship with Wynry, than so be it, that would be a choice they made, not him.
"You're thinking about it again, aren't you?"
He looked up to see her standing in the doorway to the bedroom, her duffle slung over her shoulder
He smiled bashfully at her
"Yeah." He admitted
"I'm sorry." She said in a barely audible voice
"For what?" He quipped, confused.
"For being ... What I am, if I was a human, you wouldn't have to go through all this trouble to be with me, you wouldn't have to cut your parents out if your life." She said.
Bucky stood there in shock for a moment, unable to speak, staring at her.
He suddenly strode across the room, pulled her against him and his lips descended upon hers in a spontaneous passionate kiss.
Her bag slid from her shoulder and landed on the floor with a soft plop as she wrapped her arms around him and returned his kiss with an equally passionate one of her own.
He pulled back and looked deep into those amazing eyes of hers.
"I don't EVER want to hear you say anything like that again, if they can't accept you for who you are, that's on them, and if they cut ties with us that's on them NOT us, no matter what they might say." He said as he caressed her cheeks with his thumbs.
"But they're your pack! Your family!" She said
"True, but if they really loved me, they would want to see me happy above everything else. And that's what you've shown me, what true happiness REALLY is. Thanks for being so patient with me while I figured it out." He said with a grin.
She smiled softly at him, he watched, mesmerized as the love she felt for him shine plainly in her brilliant green eyes.
"When do we have to be back?" She asked suddenly.
"Well, my parents don't get in until this evening, but the cleaning lady is supposed to come by in about a couple of hours, why?" He asked
She suddenly kissed him, her tongue boldly entering his mouth to entangle with his own.
Damn, for someone so shy, she was one HELL of an amazing kisser, her kisses alone were enough to cause his blood to practically boil in his veins.
She pulled back, her eyes glowing, the look in her face said it all ... And neither one of them knew when they would get another chance to be together like this.
He pushed his bag off the bed, not even caring that some of his neatly packed clothes spilled out as it hit the floor.
She fell back onto the bed, pulling him with her. Their lips met in another searing kiss as she pushed him into his back, he stared at her in awe as she crouched above him, fangs bared and eyes glowing.
She was magnificent, and seeing her like this made him feel things that he couldn't even put into words, and he hoped that would never go away.
"I could NEVER live without you now, you know that, right?" He said, his voice gruff with arousal as his hands entwined themselves in her long wild hair.
"You're my moon and stars." She growled in reply as she claimed her mouth with his.
