Frankie and Gwen had met up with the four at Luigi's pizza. Gwen gave both Maura and Jane a hug, Maura still wasn't used to the way Gwen liked to greet them. Maura didn't want to tell her that the hugs made her feel uncomfortable, she hardly knew her well enough.

"I already ordered for you guys," Jane informed them as they all sat down at the booth. Maura, herself and then Frost on one side and Korsak, Gwen and Frankie on the other. "So how was your New Year's Eve, Korsak told me you all pretty much stayed at his apartment."

"Yeah, we even helped Ma around the apartment today, she didn't look too good today, I'm kind of worried," Frankie explained.

"We all decided she's probably just going through the change. I hope it's nothing more serious than that," Jane sipped at her beer, Maura resting her hand on Jane's knee, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"Even Tommy was really concerned, we dropped him off back at his place he looked really upset," Frankie frowned. "I don't think that's all he's worried about though, who knows what is going through his mind. He kept tossing and turning while we were sleeping on the pull out couch. I was half tempted to join Korsak and Frost in his bed."

"I think it's good you didn't, Frost kept squirming a lot," Korsak looked over at Frost who looked down at his drink. "At one point he fell off the bed and I had to pick him up."

Jane looked over at Frost in concern, "Hey, are you sure everything is okay?"

Frost looked at Jane and shrugged, "I mean, sure I have been down a bit but I don't think anything is wrong with me."

"Maybe you should go see a therapist, I could go with you, if you want me to," Jane offered.

"I could always try to help you out, no point in spending money at a therapist," Maura spoke looking at Frost with a soft smile.

"But that would mean telling you my thoughts and secrets and well I'm not sure that I would be comfortable discussing them with someone I know... no offense to you or anything," Frost shrugged.

"No offense is taken Barry. Just know that if you ever wanted to talk to me it would be okay."

"Hell we all would be here for you, you are important to us. I mean Jane deemed you worthy enough to give you a special holiday," Korsak drank his smoothie.

"Special holiday?" Gwen asked.

Korsak nodded, "Yeah, what did you call it Jane? Jane Rizzoli and Barry Frost appreciation day."

Jane nodded, "Yep celebrating me and Frost, moreso Frost but he felt the need to have me included."

Gwen smiled, "That sounds nice, well here's to Frost and Jane then, I can drink to that." She raised her glass of soda and clinked it with the others.

"Here, here," Korsak drank the rest of his smoothie and then the pizza and breadsticks and Korsak and Maura's salads finally arrived.

"Thank God food time, I'm starving," Jane grabbed a slice of pizza, not waiting for anyone else before she ate.

"Jane, you have a lack of manners," Maura shook her head as she poured some salad dressing on her Caeser salad.

"When the hell did you start eating salads Korsak?" Jane eyed the man.

"You know I've been trying to eat healthy, I've lost 18.4 pounds in a little over a month, figured to keep it going, plus it makes me feel a little less old."

"Considering that you're almost 60 that's pretty impressive," Jane rolled her eyes and grabbed another slice of pizza.

Korsak stopped eating his salad for a moment and just looked at Jane, "Your sarcasm is back, really happy Jane didn't last too long. Your glow kind of warn off."

"I knew it was too good to be true," Frost teased, and Jane kicked him in the leg. "Hey."

"Here I thought we were friends," Jane smirked before finishing her slice of pizza and taking a sip of beer.

What happened next she was not prepared for, Frank Sr. entered the restaurant and he wasn't alone. She put down her empty mug of beer and frowned, nudging Frankie under the table, and nodded in the direction of their father. Frankie turned to look and his frown matched Jane's.

They tried to avoid contact but Frank noticed them anyways. He came up to them, removing his arm from the woman he was with. The woman Frankie recognized, the new worker at the BPD cafe. "Hey kids, fancy seeing you here. Everyone else," he nodded with a warm smile, a look that made Jane feel queasy, she immediately felt like she should have eaten a little bit slower.

Jane tensed up and glared at her father. Luckily she was in between Frost and Maura. Maura rested her hand on her leg, trying to reassure her that she was right here. "Who's this?" Jane eyed the blonde girl who looked about the same age as Frankie.

Frankie answered for Frank, "That's Lydia. She has been working at the cafe for a little over a week."

"Tommy introduced us," Frank looked and noticed Angela wasn't here. "Where's Ang?"

"I don't think that's any of concern. Why do I have a feeling that Tommy told you we would be here?" Jane asked, her frown not letting up.

Frank sighed, "Yeah he might have told me where you guys would be at. I was hoping to actually talk to your mother."

"Well obviously she isn't here, and it's good she's not here," Korsak spoke up and turned to face Lydia. "When you told me you were engaged I didn't think you would mean with a guy like him."

The blonde woman frowned, "Yeah I kind of knew that you were Angela's new man. Tommy kind of talks a lot. I wanted to thank her for leaving Frank or else we wouldn't have found each other," she turned to look at Frank with a smile.

Jane was half tempted to get up from the table and have words with her father. "I'm sorry but who told you she left him? That's bullshit."

"Frank told me that, is that not what happened?" Lydia's smile turned into a frown.

"Uh that's not important..." Frank rubbed the back of his neck.

"She should have fuckin left you, you piece of shit," Jane stood up quickly, she didn't care at this point.

"You need to go," Frankie spoke to his father, before looking at Jane in concern.

Frank frowned, "Fine, but I really need to talk to your mother. Let her know I'm looking for her. Come on Lydia," he hooked his arm around hers before going to get a table away from them.

"The fuckin nerve of that man," Jane clenched her jaw, "I'm going to go get some air," she huffed, Frost frowned as he moved to let her out of the booth. Frankie got up and followed her outside.

Jane leaned against the building with slumped shoulders she heard footsteps and turned to face Frankie. "I don't want him to be in our lives anymore," Frankie sighed, leaning next to Jane.

"He lost that right when he was spewing whatever lies he told her about our mother. I didn't think I could hate someone so much. How the fuck could he do this?" Jane closed her fists, trying to calm herself down.

"He's an asshole... what do you think he wanted to talk to Ma about?"

Jane shrugged, "I have no idea, but I'd be damned if I let her know he wants to talk."

Frankie nodded, "There's just one problem Jane..."

"Yeah, fuckin Tommy. He might have told me why but I still don't understand why the hell he still wants to be in dad's life. And now he's getting married to someone who is your age, like what the fuck is that all about."

He shrugged, "I don't know. Lydia isn't the brightest person but I mean anyone can see that she can do better than him. It's hard to feel sorry for her though, she made the choice."

Jane ran a hand through her hair, "I actually wanted to beat his ass. I'm just glad Ma is happy with Korsak, you know he's been a better father figure to me than Pop has ever been?"

Frankie nodded, "We're really lucky to have Korsak. I hated how upset Pop made our mother all these years. You know part of me was scared to find love because of our parents' relationship. But seeing you and Ma both happy and in love I came to realize how nice it can be to be with someone and that it doesn't have to seem like a struggle, because that's not what real love should feel like."

"Yeah, now you have Gwen and you guys seem like you really get along. I'm proud of you for finding love."

"Um well I'm pretty sure it isn't love, we've hardly been dating. Ma is probably planning what to name our children already, I'm far from that."

Jane laughed, "Yeah Ma really wants those damn grandchildren. Me and Maura were talking of adopting in a few years maybe but who really knows especially with our line of work. Children probably aren't the best thing for either of us to have."

Frankie nodded, "Yeah and God forbid Tommy produces children."

"That would be the worst, I feel sorry for whatever woman he knocks up."

"If he even knocks up someone, if you catch my drift. You ever think the reason he acts out all the time is because he's hiding something?"

Jane looked at her brother, "Like what? Are you saying Tommy might be gay? Come on Frankie, he has had more girls than... okay bad example, really you think so?"

Frankie shrugged, "Anything is possible at this point in time Jane, wouldn't you think?"

"I guess, I mean it could be possible, I honestly don't really know Tommy. I never felt like I understood him. Do you think he just wants me to appreciate him more? He does seem to wanna redeem himself and his past mistakes. I think I should have a talk with Tommy see what really is going on in that brain of his. Maybe I could get him to realize that Pop is not the best person to idolize."

Frankie nodded, "Tommy just needs some sort of intervention. I say we invite him to the Dirty Robber tonight, and it be just the three of us."

Jane nodded, "Yeah, that sounds good. What could possibly go wrong?"

So there is Frank being Frank and surprise I added Lydia but this plot won't be as crazy as the one on the show. Figured we needed to have some sibling bonding in this chapter. They cute, next up figuring Tommy Rizzoli out and what is the real reason why Frost is upset? Answers will be soon. thanks for sticking with this story. there's a lot more to come.
