Well, this is the real end of the story. The epilogue. I never thought I'd get this far, but here we are. It's been a (mostly) fun ride.
Enjoy.
I'd like to thank Shade552 for reviewing the previous chapter.
To Shade552: Here are your answers. 1) Ballora may only forgive the Older Brother if Fredbear and Circus Baby are willing to. The Puppet may be even harder to convince due to her protective nature; same goes for the Original Four since they're Crying Child's best friends. Short answer is, the Old Brother can be forgiven, but it won't be easy, no matter who he's asking forgiveness from. This question would be trickier if they were alive, 'cause it's easier to forgive in this colorful purgatory. 2) If Nightmare were still ruler, a non-aggression contract is as far as he would go. Getting him to agree to peace may take decades, if not centuries. Also, it would take an all-out war and drastic measures to even get to the non-aggression contract phase. As for what happened with Nightmare's soul, it was still tethered to Nightmarionne when he vanished. 3) Yes, Glitchtrap will end up in Faztopia if and when he is destroyed.
ONE WEEK LATER...
Fredbear is currently sitting behind his desk inside the hill that once belonged to The Puppet. Since this is where he's gonna be living, he thought he might as well add a desk to work on. He also added an actual door to the side of the hill, as well as a couple of windows, just to make the place look and feel more homey. In the far corner of the house, there sat the remains of Lefty. Rebuilding him should be simple, but Fredbear has been too busy these few days to get started. He had to put a sticky note on his desk that says, "Fix Lefty," just so he wouldn't forget completely.
Right now, Fredbear is signing papers and talking over the phone.
"Whoa, Funtime Freddy, slow down," Fredbear said over the phone. "What does my sister need with 30 pounds of springlocks? What is she building?"
While Funtime Freddy tried to explain, Fredbear looked at the picture frame on his desk. It's a picture of him with his sister Baby and his mother Ballora. As much as he wanted to move to Funtime Fields to be closer to them, he feels in his heart that he belongs here in Fazbear Woods.
"You know what, I'll just deliver the package myself in person," said Fredbear.
Someone knocks on the door.
"Uh, I gotta go," said Fredbear.
Fredbear ends the call and opens the door. At the door is Freddy Fazbear.
"Hey, Freddy," Fredbear greeted.
"Hey, Fredbear," Freddy greeted. "Did I come at a bad time?"
"No, I was just in the middle of a call," said Fredbear. "Being the new guardian of Faztopia is just as complicated as I expect, but that's without my sister making some ridiculous demands. She still won't sign a peace treaty with Fazbear Woods. I swear, she's just messing with me just because I'm her brother. I guess it's just to spice up our afterlife. For now, I'm just rolling with it. I really hope she doesn't make this too difficult."
"Rough family matters," Freddy commented. "But, Fredbear, we got a problem."
"What is it? Did Balloon Boy steal batteries from Mangle again?" asked Fredbear.
"Golden Freddy is missing," said Freddy.
"What?" Fredbear reacted.
"No one has seen her all morning," said Freddy. "We called Funtime Fields, Rainbow Valley, Black Metal Grave, and even the Nightmare Realm. No one has seen her."
Talking about Golden Freddy only reminded Fredbear of his bizarre conversation with her last week. He still doesn't know how the two of them transformed into 8-bit sprites and how they were transported in a mysterious black void, but he can only assume it was a secret power of hers. That wasn't the last time they talked, but he didn't dare ask her what that talk meant. And now, he can't help but feel that this may be connected to her going missing.
"Where could she be?" Fredbear wondered.
Eyes open. Heavy breathing starts. Confusion plagues the mind.
The confused individual eyes the surroundings. An office of some sort. This person is sitting behind a desk. A desk with a fan, a tablet, crumpled paper, a cup of soda, a microphone, a controlled shock panel, and a Freddy Fazbear plush. The office is decorated with so much random stuff. To the left, there's a Candy Cadet and a box full of Toy Animatronic heads. To the right is an empty Freddy suit on a stand. There're balloons, streamers, a keypad on the wall, monitors, an Ennard mask, and a lot more. The checkered pattern on the walls and floor look awfully familiar. There's one door on each side of the room, a small vent to the right, and a vent on the wall in the middle.
Curious and confused, the person behind the desk picks up the tablet, but a reflection stops this person from turning it on. The reflection appears...
Purple. This individual's arms, legs, and body are all purple. His appearance is like that of an 8-bit sprite from a 20th Century video game. His eyes are blank white. His eyebrows are two black straight lines. His mouth is just a black square.
What is going on, Purple Guy asked himself.
Purple Guy turns on the tablet. It appears to be a camera system, as it allows him to switch cameras by pushing numbers on the lower right corner of the screen. There are 8 cameras in whatever place he's in, showing him the two hallways outside the doors, the show stage, Pirate's Cove, Parts & Services, the prize corner, and the closet. The kitchen camera is disabled, but it can pick up audio. The tablet indicates a vent system and a duct system. There are also buttons that control several kinds of equipment (like a generator and a heater). On the lower left side of the screen seems to be a power counter, tracking the power in the building. Purple Guy switches cameras again and again, desperately looking for something. There's nothing. After so much mindless camera-switching, Purple Guy is surprised and terrified when so many things popped up on the cams.
In the Left Hall camera, there was Freddy Fazbear. The brown bear looks at the camera in an unsettling way, as if he knew he was being watched.
The right hall is suddenly infested with three animatronics. Circus Baby, Nightmare Bonnie, and Nighmare Mangle.
Purple Guys checks on the kitchen camera. There's a bunch of noises there, possibly pots and pans. There also seems to be music.
The show stage suddenly has a sign on it that says "2 AM." Purple Guy could see Funtime Foxy peeking through the curtains.
Foxy is peering from the curtains of Pirate's Cove. Bonnie is glaring at the camera from right behind the fox.
Toy Freddy is in Parts & Services, playing some kind of video game with a vacuum cleaner as the enemy.
Lefty sits in the back closet, slumped over. The video glitches for a bit, only for Lefty to suddenly look right at the camera.
The plushies in the prize corner went from lifeless to staring right into the camera watching them.
There are three animatronic signals in the vent system. There are five total signals in the ducts. All of them lead directly into the office.
"She will never let you leave," Candy Cadet rambled randomly.
Purple Guy's breathing gets heavier. He's panicking. He has nothing to defend himself. He doesn't have his trusty suit. He doesn't have any magic. He's powerless... and afraid. He's actually afraid. The look in these animatronics' eyes show merciless intent towards him, and he doesn't want to see those eyes right up in his face. He keeps his eyes on the tablet, trying to figure out how the buttons work and monitoring the animatronics' movements.
What kind of nightmare is this, Purple Guy wondered.
Speaking of nightmares, a face just phases into view like a ghost revealing itself. Nightmarionne. Purple Guy hides behind the tablet for a few seconds. When he dropped it, Nightmarionne was gone. But not for long, he guessed.
Purple Guy panics some more when Ballora comes twirling in from the left door, stopping just right at the doorway, playing her creepy music.
Nightmare Fredbear's eyes reveal themselves in the darkness beyond the right doorway as he steps in to reveal his horrifying face.
Balloon Boy crawls in from the right side vent, sneaks up on Purple Guy, and steals the batteries from his flashlight.
Molten Freddy's crazed laughter echoes through vent on the wall as his face appears through the opening.
"This can't be real," Purple Guy hoped.
Suddenly, something started glitching in from the other side of the desk, scaring Purple Guy some more. It looks like Golden Freddy. The boneless golden suit just sits there, slumped over, looking directly at the man behind the desk. But she's twitching. She's twitching restlessly, and it's making Purple Guy feel creeped out. The white glints in Golden Freddy's eyes as she twitched slowly turn red as she makes sure that the Purple Guy is looking directly into her eyes. This is all she ever wanted, and she couldn't wait to begin.
"Welcome to your eternal suffering," Golden Freddy said vengefully.
After a bright white flash, Golden Freddy's disembodied head flies menacingly towards Purple Guy with an blood-curdling scream.
Welcome to Ultimate Custom Night, William. It's gonna be a "hell" of a time.
And that is the true ending of the story. William may not be in actual hell (he's in the Nightmare Realm's version of it), but Golden Freddy is gonna make sure it feels like the real deal.
...
Notes/Explanations:
1. Adventure Purple Guy. I know that, in FNaF World, it's not the actual Purple Guy. But in this story, it is the actual Purple Guy. I thought it'd be more fitting that way, if William was in his Purple Guy form behind the desk.
2. The only way to get into the Nightmare Realm's version of hell (or the fiery depths of down there, for censorship) is to be killed with dark magic from the Nightmare Realm. Springtrap was impaled by Nightmarionne's tentacles, and that's how he ended up here. But how did Golden Freddy get in here? I have the answer, but I'll leave that to you to think about.
