Nightfrost heard a surprised yowl echo through the forest. She recognized it as Smokeblaze. Nightfrost's heart beat faster and faster with anxiety. She raced through the trees, following Smokeblaze's scent. She arrived at the destination and saw Smokeblaze backing away from Shadestar.
"Leave him alone!" Nightfrost yowled and leapt onto Crowtalon's back just as he was about to knock Smokeblaze out. Crowtalon let out a surprised yowl. Oh no.. Nightfrost thought, remembering she was invisible. She made the mistake of hesitating and Crowtalon threw her off of his back. Nightfrost landed on the ground with a loud thump and her invisibility flickered out. Nightfrost stood up and saw Shadestar and Crowtalon staring at her. Crowtalon had Smokeblaze pinned down.
"Interesting…." Shadestar meowed.
"Crowtalon you mouse-brain!" Nightfrost hissed. Crowtalon shrugged. "Do you know what he'll do to Smokeblaze and I?"
"Leave Crowtalon out of this." Shadestar growled.
"Leave all of them out of it!" A voice yowled and Darkheart came hurtling out of the bushes towards Shadestar. With one quick movement of his claws, Darkheart was laying on the ground, heavily bleeding.
"No!" Nightfrost yowled. Not both of my parents! Nightfrost sank to the ground and let out a wail. Crowtalon just stared in shock at his dead mother. Nightfrost turned to Crowtalon.
"This is all your fault!" She hissed and lunged at him. His eyes widened and then Nightfrost fell to the ground as a heavy weight landed on her. Some cat hit the back of her head and she blacked out.

Nightfrost slowly opened her eyes and expected to see bright light. But it was dark, very dark. Nightfrost could just make out another form sleeping beside her. She nudged it and it's eyes shot open. Nightfrost breathed a sigh of relief as she recognized Smokeblaze.
"Where are we?" Smokeblaze asked Nightfrost groggily.
"I don't know." Nightfrost answered him. Suddenly, Nightfrost heard a large boulder moving and bright light flooded into the place Smokeblaze and Nightfrost were being held. Nightfrost saw that she and Smokeblaze were in a small cave, where the entrance was even smaller. A cat walked towards them. Nightfrost recognized the cat as Shadestar. There were two other warriors behind him, guarding the entrance.
"Why do you have us here?" Smokeblaze growled at Shadestar.
"I've seen your powers," Shadestar started. "And I believe that if you two have kits, your kits will have the same powers. Then I will take the kits and raise them to be loyal to me."
Nightfrost stared in shock at Shadestar. Then she realized that he wasn't joking.
"And what if we don't have kits?" Nightfrost hissed.
"I will kill you." Shadestar meowed plainly.
