Kagome skidded to a halt. Her limbs felt heavy as her body grew heated.
Shit, this wasn't good. A fever was already starting to hit.
Shigaraki had dodged her every attack. The man was lean and didn't look all that powerful, but he was quick.
Her brows pinched together.
She had to keep going.
A palm stretched towards her face. Long, withered fingers reached to block out her field of vision.
The young woman sank onto her haunches. Pushing forward, she slammed her fist against the man's abdomen.
"Got you!" Kagome didn't give him a chance to recover. She grabbed at his wrist, flipped him onto his stomach and pushed his arm up the length of his back.
"You won't escape that easily." Azure eyes narrowed at the man beneath her. She had to seal him, before Nomu could interfere again.
Crystals pinned the man to the floor. She jumped off of the thick layer of shards she'd used to contain him with.
Now that he was out of commission, she'd have to deal with that Nomu thing. It only seemed to respond to the sound of the man's voice. So he was definitely controlling it somehow. Keeping that weird hand-guy out of the fight would be her best bet.
"Higurashi!" Aizawa leapt onto the plaza with them. "Report!"
His tone was sharp with concern. She knew what he wanted to say but now wasn't the time nor place.
Kagome sucked a breath through her nose before she spoke, "I subdued what I think is their leader." She gestured the other male, "But we've got to move quick. That thing he calls Nomu is too powerful for us to defeat on our own."
Azure eyes narrowed at the motionless beast. It hadn't moved or responded at all since she went after Shigaraki. "I shattered that thing over and over again but it just keeps regenerating. Our best bet is to just hold it off for now until back up arrives. He's the one controlling it somehow, so until we know how he's doing it, that thing will be a problem."
She tried to hold herself straight. Shit, this wasn't good. Her vision was beginning to blur as the world around her grew fuzzy.
Aizawa gripped at her shoulders to steady her, "You've done well but you can't fight in this condition. You need to get back to the exit with the other students. I'll handle things from here."
"I can do this!" Kagome shot back vehemently, "I'll keep fighting until back up arrives. Our goal right now is to protect the other students. If we're going to fight that Nomu thing then we'll have to do it together. At least until All Might can get here."
She struggled to her feet.
"I'm not giving up. Not ever!"
