Now, onto the chapter...
Clementine struggled to control her breathing. Her little heart was pounding in her chest. She could only think of how mad her group would be with her for running away. She knew it had been a naughty thing to do.
She didn't notice as the two Russian siblings began talking to one another.
Eventually, Clementine realized that Natasha had walked away. "W-Where's she going?"
"To check place." Arvo replied.
"Bu-But—"
"Is fine… Do not worry." Arvo said.
Clementine felt anxiety gripping her. She didn't know how her group would react to seeing Natasha. She knew they were all on edge. She couldn't see things going well. Fighting back her nerves the child started walking forward. "W-We can't let her go alone…"
"Oh…Okay…" Arvo followed the young girl.
Eventually the caught up with Natasha who was heading to the deck. Clementine frowned as she noticed the broken deck. This place was a mess.
"Come…" Arvo said.
Clementine hesitated; she was sure her group would freak out on her for bringing strangers back…
"Clementine, come." Arvo said.
The child slowly followed, and they got to the deck. It was quiet, Clementine noticed. Way too quiet.
It was then that she realized something. Everyone was gone…
The group had stopped walking, knowing that the chance of them finding shelter that night was slim to none. They decided to set up camp and continue their search for Clementine tomorrow.
Although some of the group members seemed quick to assume that the child was dead. Molly couldn't believe her girl was gone just like that. Clementine may have been in bad shape, but the kid was tough. She wouldn't go out without a fight.
Molly did however wonder why those men had her girl's hat. Either they had found the hat, or they had taken it from her. Molly really hoped it wasn't the latter, but with the way the men had attacked them, it didn't seem unlikely.
"What were you thinking, Clementine…?" Molly couldn't help but mutter.
The deck was clear of any sign of her group. Clementine didn't know is she should be relieved or sad. She felt mixed emotions, as she wondered if they were searching for her, or if they had simply moved on without her.
She wouldn't blame them for moving on. She was naughty anyway. And nothing but a burden.
Arvo and Natasha decided they wanted to stay put for the night, and Clementine didn't protest. The three of them settled in the museum for the night.
Clementine struggled to fall asleep. She tossed and turned the whole night long.
She really missed Molly. She hoped the woman was okay…
She frowned as she slipped her thumb in her mouth, trying to force herself to sleep. It didn't work.
When morning came, they headed out to search for Arvo's and Natasha's missing group members. Unfortunately, Clementine had no way of telling where her own group had gone as the snow covered up and tracks left behind. She figured they had gone towards the town that Shel had mentioned a few times.
She hoped they were safe there. She hoped that Rebecca and the baby were okay… She hoped everyone was okay.
The three had continued walking for quite a bit, it wasn't until they noticed a few geeks up ahead feeding on something that they stopped.
"O-Oh no…" Arvo muttered.
"Wh-What?"
Clementine's eyes widened as well as she recognized one of the bodies. Rebecca… "Oh my god!"
Arvo and Natasha rushed over to their deceased group members while, Clementine went to Rebecca. "I'm so sorry, Rebecca."
The child felt her heart drop when she caught sight of Wyatt's body as well.
She felt tears brim in her eyes as she wondered what the fuck had happened.
"We need to find some shelter." Shel said.
"Shelter? We need to find Clem." Molly said. "We can't just leave her out here alone."
"We don't even know if she's alive." Kenny argued.
"She is alive. She has to be…." Molly said.
"We should go to that town. It's probably safe there." Russell suggested.
"The place Luke, Mike, and Bonnie headed. That's dead." Kenny huffed.
"What other choice do we have? We can't just stay out here." Russell said.
"We need to keep moving… We'll find Wellington…" Kenny said.
The group groaned at this; they were getting really sick of hearing about Wellington.
Everything is quiet for a while as their cries all die down.
Clementine stays by Rebecca's corpse as she hears Arvo and Natasha talking.
Slowly the two walked over to the young girl.
"You know them?" Arvo asks.
Clementine looks up and gives a small nod. "They were my friends."
"Friends?" Arvo asked before suddenly saying something to Natasha.
Natasha responded with something Clementine couldn't understand. Arvo looked concerned for a while and the two siblings appeared to be arguing.
Suddenly Arvo sighed, looking defeated. Arvo then looked to the small child, "She wants you to stand up and walk."
"W-What?"
The child suddenly found a gun aimed in her direction by Natasha.
"Stand up… and walk." Arvo repeated.
"A-Arvo, please…" Clementine frowned.
"We not want to shoot little girl." Arvo said. "Stand…"
Clementine frowned and did as he said. She felt like she had made a big mistake grouping up with them.
The group continued their back and forth arguing with one another. Sarah frowned and covered her ears while AJ cried in Sarita's arms.
"Guys, look, we need to keep moving! Fighting isn't helping anything." Vince spoke.
"Tell that to Molly!" Kenny spat.
"Kenny, please settle down. You're upsetting the baby." Sarita said.
Kenny seemed to frown at that and quieted down. "I'm sorry, little man… Here. Give him here."
"A-Are you sure?" Sarita asked, hesitant to hand the baby over.
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be sure?" Kenny grumbled.
"I just… think you should calm down." Sarita said.
"I'm calm, Sarita. Just give me the baby." Kenny replied.
Sarita sighed and allowed him to hold AJ.
"Everyone just keep moving, we'll be able to get to Wellington in a few days if we keep a good pace." Kenny said.
"A few days? We'll freeze out here by then!" Russell said.
"We're supposed to be looking for Clementine, not Wellington." Molly said.
"I don't wanna see that kid's body…. We know she didn't make it!" Kenny said.
"You don't know that. You're just making assumptions." Molly said.
"She ran away for a reason. I doubt she even wants to be found." Becca spoke up.
"That doesn't matter. She's a child. She doesn't need to be alone. If you guys don't want to help me find her… I'll look on my own…" Molly said.
"No… Molly, that's not safe… We're gonna keep looking, okay…" Shel said. "We're gonna find your girl…"
Molly really hoped so.
Clementine felt like her heart was caught in her throat as she walked. She was still being held at gunpoint by Natasha, although Arvo seemed to be trying to get her to ease up and lower the gun.
Natasha wouldn't budge.
They continued forward for a while until familiar voices reached her ears.
Immediately, Arvo and Natasha ducked behind the trees, listening intently.
It took all of her willpower not to rush out there and jumped into her guardian's arms. The gun Natasha held, although no longer aimed at her, reminded Clementine it was best to stay put.
The group made sure to keep all eyes on the trees as they stopped to take another break. Russell's leg was killing him, and AJ had been fussy for a while. Kenny assumed the baby needed a bottle and only agreed to stop to feed him.
It had been a while since they stopped, not that anyone was complaining. Kenny was completely focused on AJ at the moment, which mean he wasn't arguing with anyone, at least for now.
It seemed every little movement from the trees put them on edge.
However, when Vince spotted what he thought was people in the woods, he jumped to his feet.
"Vince? What's wrong?" Molly asked.
"Someone's watching us." Vince said.
"The fuck are you talking about?" Kenny inquired.
"Someone's there." Vince replied.
"Bullshit." Kenny grumbled and handed Sarita the baby. He stood, grabbing his gun to go check it out. "I swear if it's another rabbit."
"It's not a rabbit, Kenny…" Vince said.
"Then what? If it's Luke, Bonnie, and Mike coming crawling back, I swear to God." Kenny approached the trees aiming his gun. Only to be shocked at who he saw. "C-Clementine."
"Kenny…"
Kenny didn't have the change to respond before he was face to face with the barrel of a gun.
"D-Don't!" Clementine said to Natasha. "Don't shoot him!"
Arvo and Natasha spoke to one another.
"You know him?" Arvo asked.
"Y-Yes. He's my friend." Clementine said.
"Friend?" Arvo asked.
"Get the fuck away from her!" Kenny ordered as soon as he noticed the other two people.
Natasha however wouldn't lower the gun.
"Arvo, please… Tell her to put the gun down…" Clementine said, knowing if she didn't things would get ugly.
Arvo seemed hesitant.
"Please… They're not bad people, I promise." Clementine said.
Arvo frowned and said something to Natasha who reluctantly lowered the gun.
Clementine was surprised when Kenny pulled her into his arms, hugging her close.
"Thank God you're alive." Kenny said.
"You thought I was dead?" Clementine asked.
"We didn't know what to think, darlin'. We found your hat and-"
"You found my hat?" Clementine brightened a bit. "Can I have it?"
"If you promise me to never go off like that again." Kenny said.
Clementine frowned. "I can't…."
"What do you mean you can't? Why not?" Kenny asked.
Clementine didn't respond.
"Kenny! What's going on over there?" Molly called.
"You're not gonna believe who I found." Kenny slowly placed the child down and the group was surprised to see her.
"Clem!" Molly quickly went over to the young girl and hugged her. "Don't you ever do that again!"
"I-I'm sorry…" Clementine muttered.
"You scared the shit out of me." Molly said.
"I'm sorry…" The child said again.
"Come out, both of you." Kenny ordered to the Russian siblings.
The two did, both of them wary of the man.
"These assholes were with Clem." Kenny explained.
"Who are they?" Molly asked.
"I don't know but one of them aimed a damn gun at me." Kenny replied.
"They helped me. Please, don't start anything, Kenny…" Clementine said, although Natasha had also aimed a gun at her…
Arvo and Natasha spoke to one another as something caught their eye.
"That bag… That is our bag!" Arvo said.
"What?" Shel asked.
"That bag has medicine! My sister's medicine!" Arvo said. "Give it!"
"Back off, asshole!" Kenny spat.
"Give the bag!" Arvo ordered. "That bag is medicine for my sister."
"No way your sister needs all this! Piss off, you ain't getting the bag!" Kenny said. "For all we know you're probably lying."
"Kenny, we don't know that." Shel said.
"We don't know if they're telling the truth either." Kenny said.
"How would they know about the medicine?" Shel asked.
"Hell, if I know—"
"The bag was with friends…" Arvo glared at Kenny. "You killed our friends."
"Your friends? You mean those assholes who attacked us? Yeah, we killed them!" Kenny spat.
Vince noticed Arvo reaching for his gun and quickly aimed his own, "Don't even think about it!"
"Everyone please calm down!" Clementine said.
"They killed friends." Arvo said, an angry look of his face. "We know it!"
"D-Don't do anything, Arvo, please…" Clementine said. "I don't know what happened but—"
"They attacked us, that's what happened! They deserved to die!"
Arvo started to reach a shaking hand to his gun only to be punched by Kenny.
Natasha screamed.
"Kenny, stop!" Clementine snapped.
"Stop? They were holding you hostage, Clem!" Kenny retorted.
"N-No… They saved me." Clementine said. "They saved me from the geeks.
"Saved you? You can't just trust them, Clem. They could've shot you." Kenny said.
"You don't understand… This is all a misunderstand." Clementine said. "Arvo, your friends attacked my friends. They killed two of my friends, Wyatt and… And Rebecca…"
"And thanks to them, AJ's gonna have to grow up without a mother!" Kenny said.
"AJ?" Arvo asked.
"The baby." Clementine replied.
"Y-You have a baby?" Arvo was shocked. He then said something to his sister, and she responded back.
"What the fuck are they saying?" Kenny inquired.
"I- I don't know..." Clementine said.
"I swear if y'all don't stop whispering I'll-"
Molly shot him a look. "Kenny, stop."
"Quit telling me to stop! We need to just deal with these people now, their friends already could've killed us all. We can't give them a chance to." Kenny said.
"They don't seem like much of a threat." Russell said.
"Like hell they aren't." Kenny said. "We need to deal with them, now."
"There is house, food!" Arvo suddenly said. "Give medicine and... and I'll take you."
Kenny shook his head in disbelief. "Bullshit."
"No, no! Is true. We have place. Not far. Food." Arvo said.
"Maybe we should go… and check it out." Russell said.
"Oh, don't be stupid. He's just tryin' to save his skin. Why the hell would you help us? Huh? He just had a gun aimed at me." Kenny said.
"For baby… I... I not want to see more people dead." Arvo said.
"Then close your eyes and I'll make it quick." Kenny scoffed.
"Kenny, back off!" Shel said.
"Are you crazy? We need to deal with them before they have a chance to do something to us." Kenny said.
"He could be telling the truth…" Shel said.
"Maybe, maybe not." Kenny said. "And if it's a trap, we'll all be dead.
"We should give them a chance." Russell said.
"Fine, but if we walk into a fucking trap, that's on you all." Kenny said.
The group exchanges look. They figure that might be better than going to a town they have no idea about. Besides, if Arvo and Natasha tried anything, they were outnumbered.
"Alright... Take us to the house…" Molly said.
The group started walking and Molly made sure to keep little Clementine close to her. She wasn't letting the child out of her sight again. Everytime she asked the little girl why she had gone off like that Clementine would respond with a small, "I don't know".
Molly sighed at this she would have to talk to the child when they were alone.
Eventually the group pauses to take a break and tend to everyone's wounds. Sarita worked on changing Kenny's bandage, while Shel rebandaged Russell's leg.
Molly took the opportunity to check Clementine over for what seemed like the fifth time since they reunited.
"I'm fine, Molly. I told you…" Clementine said with a small sigh.
"I just want to make sure. We were so worried about you, Clem…" Molly said.
"I'm okay… I didn't get hurt or anything…" Clementine said.
"I'm glad you didn't get hurt… Don't do that to me again, kid…" Molly replied.
"What happened to Luke, Mike, and Bonnie… I saw Wyatt and Rebecca, but not them… Are they…?" The child trailed off, scared to finish her own question.
"They took off…" Molly told her.
"What?"
"They left, Clem." Molly said.
"Left where…?" Clementine asked.
"They…. They're not in the group anymore, kid." Molly said.
"What- What do you mean they're not in the group? They're just gone… As in not coming back?" Clementine asked.
"Yeah…" Molly confirmed.
Clementine frowned at that. She couldn't help but feel sad as she asked, "L-Luke just left?"
"Yeah, kid…"
"And he went with Bonnie…?" The child asked. "Why would he do that?"
Molly could see the little girl was upset. The woman couldn't help but sigh.
"I-I thought he cared about us…." Clementine felt her voice crack a bit as she fought back tears. She knew she had left first, but she hadn't expected so much to change within the time she had been gone. She couldn't help but feel hurt about Luke leaving. Especially since Carver had said Luke would "cut and run".
"Clem…" Molly said. "It's better this way…"
"No… No it's not…" Clementine said. "Everything's just as bad as before."
"Clem-"
The child cut Molly off as she began whimpering. Molly frowned and pulled the girl into a hug, trying to calm her.
"Is everyone ready to go?" Shel came over, but noticed Clementine crying in Molly's arms. "Is… Is she okay?"
"She will be…" Molly said as she stood. "Let's go…"
Some time later the group reached a power station. Clementine had since calmed down and was walking on her own with her crutches.
Kenny furrowed his brows as he looked at the power station. He huffed and asked Arvo and Natasha. "Is that it?"
When neither responded he shoved Arvo. "Hey, I'm talkin' to you!"
Arvo flinched and looked startled. "What? It? It what?"
Natasha shot Kenny a look and said something he couldn't understand. He ignored her.
"What do you mean "what"? The place you're fuckin' taking us!" Kenny snapped at Arvo.
"He doesn't speak much English." Russell said.
Kenny shot Russell a look. "Yeah, no shit!" He then looked back to Arvo. "Is that it? I thought you said it was a house."
"There is house…" Arvo said.
"This doesn't look like a damn house." Kenny said.
"Arvo, they're not trying to be mean." Clementine spoke.
"Kenny is…." Russell muttered.
"Hush." Shel scolded.
"That's not what you're taking us to, right, Arvo?" Clementine asked. "How much further is the house you were talking about?"
"Answer her, goddamn it!" Kenny ordered.
"Is still more walk. Some more hours." Arvo said.
"Goddamn it. I knew this was gonna happen. This guy fucked us." Kenny hissed. "You said the house "wasn't far"! Damn liar!"
"Kenny, stop…" Shel said. "It's gettin' dark. Maybe we should stop for the night."
"This is bullshit. He's lying. He's been lying this whole time." Kenny grumbled.
"You don't know that." Vince said.
"I know we've been walking all day and we're still fuckin' nowhere." Kenny spat.
"Look, we're not gonna make much ground tonight. And it's not safe for us to travel in the dark with a group of this size. I think we should spend the night here for the night...if it's safe." Vince said.
"That's a big IF." Kenny said.
"Well, there's a fence, which would help with geeks." Molly said.
Kenny sighed. "Maybe..."
Clementine lowered her gaze for a moment then spoke, "Can we just try and have a calm, quiet night? Please...?"
"That would be nice, Clem." Molly said.
AJ starts crying and Kenny puts away his gun.
Kenny rocks the baby a bit. "Oh, shit, sorry about that...it's alright, buddy. It's alright."
AJ soon quiets down.
"Alright, y'all wait here. I'll go make sure this ain't some walker nest we're lockin' ourselves into." Kenny hands the baby over to Sarita. "See if...see if you can calm him down a bit."
"I'll go with you." Vince offers.
Kenny nods.
The group waits while Kenny and Vince go scout out the area.
A few minutes pass before they come over to let them know its safe. Everyone on is relieved as they head over.
A while later most of the group is gathered around a campfire they made in the station. Arvo and Natasha are a bit away.
Kenny takes watch while everyone else sits and makes small talk. Eventually the others began turning in for the night.
Vince kept watch over Natasha and Arvo.
Sarita decides to go check in on Kenny who has baby AJ. She figured they were both probably cold.
"Clementine, we need to talk." Molly says to the young girl.
Clementine sighs. "Do we have to…?"
"Yeah. We do, kid." Molly said. "Why didn't you talk to me first? Before you just took off…"
"I… I just… couldn't take it anymore…" Clementine said. "I didn't want to stay and hear the fighting… I didn't want anyone to die because of me… I couldn't deal with everything that was happening..."
"No one is gonna die because of you. And you shouldn't have to deal with it." Molly said. You know sometimes people just say things they don't mean."
"…Everything always turns into a big fight..." Clementine frowned. "It was so bad… I felt so… so sad all the time. I don't want to feel that way…"
"And things can't continue to go that way. You don't need to be around all that… And I can promise you, things are going to change." Molly said.
"I hope so…"
"But I need you to promise me that you'll never take off again. You talk to me… I'm here for you, Clem. After everything we've gone through, you know you can talk to me about anything…" Molly said.
"I'm sorry… Are you mad at me?" Clementien asked.
"I'm not mad, kiddo. I'm just… I was really worried about you… I don't want anything bad to happen to you ever again." Molly said.
"I'm sorry…" Clementine said again.
"Stop saying sorry, Clem…" Molly said. "No one is angry at you…"
"Okay…" The child mumbled. C-Can you hold me?"
"Sure. Come here, kid." Molly said.
Clementine made her way over to her guardian who allowed her to sit in her lap. "Thanks… I missed you…"
"I missed you too, Clem." Molly said.
"Kenny… I came to check on you." Sarita spoke as she noticed Kenny sitting against a wall beside the fence.
"You didn't have to do that, Sarita. I'm fine." Kenny said.
"I wanted to…" Sarita took a seat next to him. "How's AJ?"
"He's okay…" Kenny said. "It's a nice night…."
"Yeah, it's been a while since things were so quiet…" Sarita said. She knew most of the noise usually came from Kenny's constant fighting, she wondered if he realized that. "Are you sure you're okay, Kenny?"
"Yeah…" Kenny said. "I've just been thinking…. A lot…"
"About what?"
"About… About my boy… I thought we lost Clem… I just couldn't stop thinking about it. I couldn't stop thinking about everything. I'm so glad Clementine is okay…" Kenny said. "Well… alive…. I know she ain't okay, but I'm glad she's alive and with us again…"
"I am too. I was so worried about her…" Sarita said.
"We all were..." Kenny sighed.
"You… never really talk much about your boy… or about your former wife…" Sarita said after a moment of hesitation.
"…He was a good boy. Pure. Just wanted folks to be happy, that's all. A boy like that...thrown into a world like this..." Kenny paused and then sighed. "I miss my boy. I miss him so much. I didn't raise him like I should've...made mistakes...wasn't there a whole lot for a couple years. Off on a boat somewhere or other. I thought I enjoyed that time away from them...from my family... But I'd give anything for one more second with them... To play catch with Duck... To touch Katjaa's face. Anything in the world..."
"How come you never talk to me about this stuff, Kenny?" Sarita asked.
"I... I didn't think you'd want to hear it. Why would you want to hear about my wife… about my family…" Kenny said, "I just… I feel like it's better to keep that shit to myself. I try not to think about it myself, but lately... It just won't leave me alone..."
"It's not good to keep that all bottle up, Kenny..." Sarita said. "You can talk to me whenever you need to about whatever you need to."
"You know... when we first met... I was so self-conscious... and even more so when I knew I had feeling for you. I was scared, didn't know how you would reaction. I... I'm glad I have you." Kenny said.
Though sometimes Kenny could not help but to dwell on the past, he was trying to move on with his life, and focus on the present and future, what was right here in front of him. Sarita, AJ... and Clementine.
"I'm glad too, Kenny…" Sarita said. "I'm always here for you…"
"Thank you, hon…" Kenny said. "You know… It's gonna be different with him. He's gonna get raised right. I won't make the same mistakes again. That's a promise."
"We'll both make sure he's okay… We'll do our best to make sure he grows up happy and healthy." Sarita said.
Kenny nodded.
"Maybe we should go back over by the fire. The baby might be cold." Sarita said.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Kenny replied.
Before the two could stand however, voices reached their ears, stopping them in place.
"I… caught what you said the other day, to Luke…" Shel's voice suddenly reached their ears.
Sarita looked around the corner and noticed Molly and Shel standing a bit away from the others and talking. She and Kenny exchanged looks of curiosity. Sarita didn't want to eavesdrop, but she couldn't help but listen in.
"…About the pregnancy test… You told us it was negative… Was it really?" Shel asked.
"I…" Molly hesitated to answer. "Why are you asking me this?"
"I'm just wondering…" Shel replied. "If it was positive, if she's pregnant, what are we gonna do?"
"She's not… She's not pregnant." Molly said after a moment.
"Are you sure?" Shel asked.
"I'm certain…" Molly said. "She's not pregnant… Not… anymore…"
Shel's eyes widened at that. "Wh-What? Anymore?"
"I… took care of it. Gave her an abortion pill." Molly said.
"W-Was that why she was so…sick?" Shel asked, looking horrified.
Molly nodded.
"Holy shit, Molly… Does… Does she know about it?" Shel questioned.
Molly shook her head. "No… No one does, and I'd like to keep it that way…"
Shel couldn't help but frown at that, "Don't you think Clem has a right to know?"
"She's a child… She's way too young to have to worry about this stuff…" Molly said.
"So you're not gonna tell her?" Shel asked. "I… feel like she should know…"
"No… At least not anytime soon… Maybe when she's older… Much older…" Molly said.
Shel couldn't help but sigh at her words. "I… I hope you know what your doing… for her sake."
"I've kept her safe for two years now. I know what I'm doing with her…" Molly said.
"I really hope so…" Shel said.
"S-She was pr-pregnant… Clem was pregnant…?" Kenny felt like his heart would explode from hearing that. "She-She's a baby… How could she…?"
"I- I can't believe it…" Sarita muttered. "Poor Clem…"
"She- She lied to us. Molly told us the test was negative. She's a damn liar!" Kenny huffed. "Here, take AJ. I'm gonna say something to her."
"Don't…" Sarita cut in, eyes widen as she grabbed at his arm to stop him. "Please don't, Kenny. We don't need to start another fight…"
"Fine… But there's no way in hell I'm gonna let Clem stay in her care. We need to look after that kid from now on." Kenny said. "Molly ain't fit to raise her."
"It… won't be easy with a baby." Sarita pointed out.
"We'll figure it out… I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to Clem ever again…" Kenny said.
"We should get back by the fire… AJ might be cold…" Sarita said again. "We don't want him getting sick…"
"Yeah… You're right, I don't like leaving Clem alone with them anyways." Kenny said. "Come on."
The two stood to go join the others at the first. Sarita felt sick after overhearing Shel and Molly's talk. And she knew, if Kenny and Molly had words things were not going to turn out pretty.
When morning comes the group continue on walking. They stop every so often to take a well needed break to eat or so Kenny or Sarita can tend to the baby.
Arvo and Natasha continue to lead the way as the group walks through the forest.
"How much further?" Kenny asked.
"Close. Very close." Arvo answered.
"You've been sayin' that every time I ask." Kenny grumbled.
"Please. Come." Arvo said.
Kenny huffed at this. "I'm really startin' to think...you're full of shit."
As they walk Clementine notices a geek sitting against a boulder suddenly get up and approach Kenny.
"Kenny, behind you!" The child exclaims.
"What the fuck?!" Kenny gasped as the creature knocks him to the ground.
Without hesitation Shel shot at the walker.
The baby starts crying as Kenny pushes the corpse off himself.
"Jesus Christ." Kenny muttered. "Fucker came outta nowhere."
"That gunshot is gonna draw attention. We need to keep moving." Vince said. "How much farther?"
"Is very close. Come." Arvo said.
The group walks a little farther and before long a building comes into view.
"There." Arvo points to the building.
In the distance, across a lake, is an unfinished house.
Kenny furrows his brows. "That piece of shit? It's half-built."
Natasha said something in response.
Kenny rolled his eye. "I don't understand a damn word she's saying."
"Is warm. Fireplace. Very warm." Arvo said.
"As long as there's food, who cares what it looks like?" Becca spoke.
Kenny looked to the teen. "You're not gonna think that when you wake up with a couple inches of snow covering you."
"So how do we get across…?" Vince asked.
"We walk, how else." Kenny scoffed.
"W-We have to walk on the ice?" Sarah stammered. "Wh-What if we fall?"
"We won't fall, sweetie. Just remain calm and we'll be okay…" Sarita reassured the teen.
"O-Okay…" Sarah said.
"You don't think there's another way around?" Russell asked.
"It'll be faster this way…" Kenny said. "I don't see no ways around anyway…"
Arvo said something in Russian causing Kenny to groan.
"Say it in American, asshole." Kenny ordered.
"Is okay. Walk. Ice." Arvo said.
"No shit, ice. That's the problem." Kenny said.
"I go first. I can be front." Arvo said.
Natasha grabbed his arm and said something, looking a bit worried. Arvo responded back, seemingly assuring her things were okay.
"We need to spread out. Just to be safe. Less weight, the better." Molly said.
Sarah sent Sarita a look of fear, but Sarita once again assured the teen that she would be okay.
"I'll be right behind you, sweetie." Sarita said.
"Let the Ruskie go first...since he's so confident." Kenny said.
"Is okay." Arvo said, stepping onto the ice.
Natasha follows after her brother.
"What about Clem?" Vince asked. "She's gonna have a hard time crossing in those crutches."
Molly tried to think of something. If she had the supplies, she would remove those rubber ends from the crutches and stick a nail in its place, making it like an ice pick, but unfortunately, she couldn't do that.
"I'm gonna have to carry you…" Molly said to the child.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Shel asked.
"We'll be fine. Clem's light as a feather." Molly said.
"Yeah, but the ice could be thin as sheet…" Vince said.
"Like I said, we'll be fine." Molly replied.
"Just… Just be careful…" Shel said.
Molly nodded as she gently picked Clementine up.
The group slowly begins to walk across the lake, sometimes making small cracks in the ice. As they walk a group of undead approaches from behind, most likely drawn by the earlier gunshot.
Frightened, Arvo gets a bit ahead of the others.
"Hey! Stay with us!" Kenny calls to him.
Two walkers fall into the lake behind them. The group looks back in fear and suddenly Arvo starts to run toward the house.
"Hey! Motherfucker." Kenny chases after Arvo.
Worried about her brother, Natasha rushes over as well. The ice breaks beneath Arvo, and he falls partially into the lake.
"I should let you drown, you piece of shit." Kenny huffs.
"No! Kenny! Don't hurt him!" Clementine called.
Kenny pulls Arvo out of the hole in the ice. Kenny and Arvo reach the other side of the lake. Arvo trips and falls on the ground. Natasha rushed over and goes to his aid. She hugs him, relieved that he is okay.
When they were some distance towards the house the ice suddenly started to crack.
She shuffled along, keeping the child in her grip. They were nearly there when the ice suddenly groaned and cracked with their weight, sending them into the frigid water. The freezing water shocked their systems. The cold was so intense it took their breath away.
Molly struggled to climb out, but she was unable to grasp the edge, the ice kept breaking off. She tried to keep the child afloat, but the intense cold of the water was taking its toll on her as well. Molly did her best to keep her and Clementine's head above water as the others panicked and tried to find a way to get to them.
However, the woman gasped when she suddenly felt something grab her leg, yanking her and little Clementine underneath the icy lake.
Molly kicks at the geek as it grabs her.
In the process of keeping the geek back and fighting against the current. Molly loses grip on Clementine.
She tries her best not to panic as she forces herself to endure the cold and swim to the small girl.
When she once again wraps the child into her numbing arms, Molly desperately tries to get the out of the water, trying to hit the ice they are trapped under. She fought to the surface for oxygen, but the water held them hostage.
In the cold water, Clementine's little body cooled rapidly. The child's movements were sluggish and growing weaker. Molly knew if they didn't get out soon, her girl would die.
The others continued to try to get to them and help them from the freezing waters. It was complete chaos.
Unable to watch and do nothing, Vince proceeded forward.
"Vince, what are you doing?" Russell asked.
Vince didn't respond. He just hoped he would be able to help them in time.
He was aware that it was risky, but they had to take the chance.
They made sure Sarah and Becca had safely crossed before Shel, Vince, and Russell attempted to make a human chain to rescue Clementine and Molly.
Kenny frowned and handed Sarita the baby, feeling the urge to help.
"Kenny-"
"Stay here. Keep an eye on the kids."
Sarita couldn't protest any further. Kenny headed over and joined their chain.
It took a few seconds but Vince soon spotted Clementine and grabbed from her, his arms immediately feeling the bitter cold of the water.
Despite feeling weak, Molly helped, pushing the child up so Vince could pull her.
Vince soon freed the little girl from the water. "I got her! I got her!"
He laid her on the ice and went to help Molly, pulling the woman free as well.
As her head broke through the water, Molly sucked in air and looked anxiously to Clementine.
She was pulled, yanked from the ice.
"Get her inside." Vince ordered to Shel who began to help to woman off the ice.
Vince slowly scooped Clementine into his still freezing arms, his heart dropping as he did so.
The child's curls were wet, stuck to her head. Her face was blue.
"Is she okay?! Is she okay?!" Kenny inquired.
"She's not breathing." Vince said. "Get to the house, now!"
The child was lifeless. Having a lifeless child in his arms made him sick. She wasn't breathing, but she had a faint pulse. He wanted to do CPR, but he knew Clementine needed to be warm before he could do that. He couldn't stop to do CPR right then.
The group tore off the ice so fast. Molly could hear everyone breathing, expect Clementine.
"How the fuck did that happen?"
"Russell get that fireplace going!" Shel ordered as she began to help Molly remove her wet clothing. "Becca get me some blankets and sleeping bags."
Vince laid Clementine down, the child limp as a ragdoll. His own arms were still freezing cold he couldn't imagine how bad things were for Clementine and Molly. He checked Clementine and realized the girl had a pulse, but it was weak, and she still wasn't breathing. Vince immediately began performing CPR.
Once the fire was going Shel ordered Russell and Kenny out of the room to save Molly some decency. Kenny tried to argue, claiming he needed to be there for Clementine but Sarita assured him that they would take care of her. She handed him AJ and sent Sarah along with him, telling him to keep an eye on them.
Becca fished as many blankets as she could out from their supplies and gave it to Shel. Shel held Molly bundle the blankets around herself.
Meanwhile Vince was still giving compressions to little Clementine. A few moments passed and nothing. The girl's pulse thumped so slowly Vince fear that the child wouldn't make it. He continued CPR, losing hope until suddenly the girl let out a gasp of air. She began coughing harshly, water coming from her mouth.
"She's breathing." Vince said.
"Good. Sarita, get her clothes off. Hurry." Shel said. "Vince, heat up one of the water bottles by the fire and get me a cloth.
"On it." Vince stood and went to do so while Sarita and Shel proceeded to strip Clementine of her wet clothes.
"Can you stand?" Shel asked Molly.
Molly slowly nodded.
"I need you to walk... Walk and don't stop until I tell you." Shel told the woman.
With the blankets wrapped around her Shel had Molly pace back and forth in front of the fireplace. The first few steps were heavy.
"Try to move your fingers too. Even if it hurts. You gotta regain some feeling in your hands and feet." Shel said.
Shel rubbed at Clementine's feet, trying to get circulation back in them. Once Vince gave her the water bottle, she empties the contents onto a cloth and began to carefully hold it in the areas where Clementine was most cold.
The girl was still unresponsive for the most part, but she was alive.
She placed blankets onto the young child, hoping to warm the little girl up.
"You can sit," Shel said to Molly after a while.
"Clem? H-How is—" Molly could barely get the words out between shivers.
"She's alive… Unconscious but alive… I think she'll be okay…" Shel said. "…Just try to warm yourself up. I'll take care of your girl."
Molly was concerned, but she knew there wasn't much she could do. She had to trust Shel would take care of Clementine…
"Goddamn it..." Kenny muttered. "How in the fuck could we let this happen…?"
"We… We should've found a way around."
"GODDAMN IT..." Kenny exclaimed.
Sarah flinched and AJ began wailing.
"Kenny calm down, man…" Russell said.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Did you not see what the hell just happened?" Kenny spat.
"I saw… But you're scaring Sarah and the baby…" Russell said. "Here, just… let me hold AJ at least."
"I got him." Kenny replied.
"No…" Russell shook his head. "No, you don't. You need to calm down… Please."
As AJ's cries grew louder, Kenny reluctantly handed him over. He then glared at Arvo. Natasha had gone into another room to retrieve the food. "This is their fault! Those damn Ruskies!"
"It's nobody's fault, Kenny." Russell said.
"The hell it ain't! They brought us here and set us up! Clem might die because of them!" Kenny snapped.
"She's not gonna die…" Sarah said. "She's strong… She has to be okay…"
Kenny just huffed. "This shitbird fucked us over! Look at this place. Just a stack of fuckin' toothpicks. Bet those magical "supplies" are bullshit too." Kenny suddenly shoved Arvo. "What? No speaka de English?"
Arvo glared back at him. "Fuck you."
Kenny narrows his eyes. "You fuckin' commie piece of shit.
Kenny punches Arvo, knocking him to the floor. Sarah gasped and covered her eyes.
"Fuck you..." Arvo repeated.
"Kenny, stop!" Russell exclaimed.
"What in the hell is going on?" Vince came into the room and his eyes widened when he sees Kenny repeatedly punches Arvo.
"You mother-fuckin'—"
"Stop!" Vince quickly pulls him back.
A moment later Natasha comes into the room, carrying a bag of supplies. Her eyes widen when she sees her battered brother. She rushes over to him, and glares at the group members. Angrily she snapped something at them, before tossing the bag of supplies.
Kenny picks up a can from the bag. "You wanna tell me how a can of fuckin' chili is gonna help a baby?"
"How is beating on him gonna help anyone, Kenny? You need to calm the fuck down." Vince said.
"Did you not see Clem? That little girl was practically dead." Kenny retorts.
"She's breathing. And if you wanna blame someone, everyone's at fault. We shouldn't have tried to walk on the ice in the first place." Vince said.
"This is fucking bullshit. If everyone had just listened to me, we would have been fine." Kenny said. "If you had all just listened that day Rebecca gave birth, we could've been well on our way to Wellington by now. Not stuck in an unfinished house with a baby and a small child who's half-dead!"
"We were in no condition to leave that day. You know that! Most of the group members were fucked up..." Russell said.
"And look at the group now! Things are even worse!" Kenny said.
"Stop fighting... Please stop fighting..." Sarah whimpered, covering her ears. "Pl-Please…"
Vince sighed. "We just gotta wait and see what happens... Hopefully... Hopefully the kid pulls through..."
"She better..." Kenny said.
During the night Molly woke several times, each time shivering. They kept the fire going the entire night.
Clementine remained unconscious.
Shel kept an eye on the child overnight in case she took a turn for the worse. Fortunately, she hadn't but she wasn't getting better either.
By morning time both Molly and Clementine had warmed up. Molly was exhausted, but she was also concerned. Her girl still hadn't woken since yesterday.
She looked around the room and noticed Shel was beside her girl. Sarita was in the room as well holding AJ in her arms. Sarah and Becca were fast asleep. It seemed the males had slept in the other room.
Shel checked the small girl's vitals everything seemed normal, but Clementine would not wake. The child appeared to be in a coma...
Moving from her spot, Molly forced herself to stand. Her legs were weak as she did so. She checked her clothes which were hanging by the fire and had since dried. The woman began to dress herself.
"You're awake…" Shel notes.
"Yeah…" Molly muttered.
"How do you feel?" Shel asked her.
"Not great… How's my girl…?" Molly said.
"Better… She's stable… But I don't know when she'll wake up…" Shel tells her with a frown.
Molly frowned at that as she came over to sit by the little child, she took Clementine's tiny hand in her own. "Where are the others?"
"Kenny's been outside working on some truck. He left out early in the morning. Been at it since then…" Shel said.
"I can't believe I let this happen." Molly said.
"Molly, don't blame yourself. You didn't know this would happen." Shel said.
"Maybe I should have known…" Molly replied.
"Hey…" Shel spoke in a comforting tone. "It's not your fault, okay…"
Before Molly could respond, Kenny cleared his throat at the doorway.
"How's Clem doing?" Kenny asked.
"A little better." Shel said.
"But she still hasn't woken up yet…?" Kenny sighed.
"No…" Shel said with a frown.
"Fuck… It's been…. A hell of a few days... But we gotta get movin'. This house ain't worth a crap, but the vehicles ain't in bad shape. With a little luck, we can get one fixed up and be outta here by nightfall." Kenny said.
"Nightfall? Kenny, Clem's in no shape to move." Molly spoke up.
"She won't have to move; we'll be carrying her." Kenny said.
"You can't be serious." Shel said.
"I am. We can't stay here. The cold will kill her and the baby… We need to keep moving…" Kenny said. "I'm gonna keep workin' at the truck. Hopefully I can get it going soon."
Kenny turned to walk away before they could protest.
Shel groaned. "I'm getting sick of his stubbornness. If he keeps going like this, he'll be the reason people get killed…"
"I don't give a damn what he wants, we have to do what's best for Clem." Molly said.
"And we will…" Shel agreed. "The kids come first. And until Clem's in a better condition to move… we stay put."
Kenny spent the whole day working on the truck. Much to his frustration it didn't seem to be starting.
A day had passed with him trying to work on the vehicle alone, to diagnose what the truck needed. When night fell, he finally stopped for the day and turned in, vowing to have it working by tomorrow.
To the others, it didn't change anything. They didn't plan on leaving until Clementine was doing better.
The next day Kenny was back to work on the truck. Arvo and Natasha both seemed wary of the entire group, especially Kenny. The two made sure to keep their distance.
It was late afternoon when Kenny came inside and asked for a hand with the truck. Vince offered to lend some help but before he could stand Molly spoke, "I'll go. Shel… Keep an eye on Clem, please…"
"I will." Shel said.
The two of them headed out. Molly planned on talking to Kenny about his constant pushy attitude towards everyone. She wanted to convince him to calm it down.
"I know things have been rough… But those kids need us now. We gotta stick together on this thing, alright? Come on, let's see if the truck's gonna go." Kenny said.
"Alright…" Molly said.
Kenny hands Molly the keys. He opens the hood and uses a screwdriver on the engine.
Molly enters the driver's seat.
"My daddy always had a half dozen wrecks he was fixin' up. He was a mean son of a bitch. But he taught me respect." Kenny said.
"Hard to see sometimes, old man." Molly said with a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, whatever… You can't respect people who don't respect you." Kenny said. "Alright, give it a turn."
Molly turns the key, but nothing happens.
"We're so close... With a little bit of luck, I can get this thing runnin', and then we can get out on the road and really make some distance." Kenny said.
"Yeah, and go where?" Molly inquired.
"To Wellington. Where else?" Kenny replied.
"Kenny, Clem's in no shape to move. She's in a damn coma." Molly said.
"Well, she'll wake up soon. I'm sure… And if we get to Wellington, they'll probably have doctors or something to help her…" Kenny said.
"We don't even know where this Wellington place is. Or if it's really out there." Molly said.
"Wellington's gotta be out there. Those rumors can't all be bunk. I mean, hell, there's gotta be somethin' out here other than snow and goddamn Euro trash." Kenny said. "We just gotta search."
"We're not in any condition to search, Kenny. You say you wanna protect the kids? Well, marching them out into the middle of nowhere isn't much help to them." Molly argued.
"We're in the middle of nowhere now. Which is why we gotta keep moving." Kenny said. "Alright, turn it again."
Molly huffs and turns the key, but nothing happens.
"Did you turn it?" Kenny asked.
"Yes."
Kenny growls and kicks the truck. "GODDAMN IT. We gotta get movin' if we're gonna keep the kids alive. We're runnin' outta time. I gotta get this thing to start. Gonna try warmin' up the battery. Go on inside…"
Molly shook her head in disbelief. No matter what she said to him he remained stubborn. It was like talking to a brick wall. The woman climbed out of the truck and turned to head inside.
Molly stays by little Clementine's side, holding the young girl's hand and hoping the child will wake soon. It was day three, she needed the girl to wake up.
A few moments of silence pass before everyone is suddenly stunned by the sound of an engine starting.
"Well, I'll be damned." Shel said. "He got it working."
Shel, Molly, Vince, and Russell head outside to see while Sarita stays with the children.
Kenny gets out of the truck just as they come outside.
"You actually got it running." Russell said
"What'd I tell ya?" Kenny smiled.
"So, what's our plan now?" Russell asked.
"We get moving, find someplace warm." Kenny said.
"Clem's not in any shape to move, Kenny. We've told you this already." Molly said.
"Well, we don't have a choice. We can't stay here." Kenny said. "We need to get out to Wellington."
"What if we went back to Howe's?" Russell asked.
"You wanna go back to the place where a kid got raped? Fuck that." Kenny said.
"The place was overrun anyway. I wouldn't trust it." Shel said.
"We need to find Wellington! That's the plan. It's been the damn plan." Kenny said.
"Kenny, we don't even know where Wellington is…" Shel said.
"It's around. We'll find it." Kenny said. "We came this far. We're not goin' back."
"We can't just go searching for a place that might not exist." Molly said.
"It does exist! What is wrong with you people? This is our green light. We got a go ahead right now and you people wanna sit around and wait." Kenny said.
"We don't have to leave right now. Let's just sleep on it and talk in the morning. Maybe Clem will be awake by then." Shel said.
"And if she's not?" Kenny asked. "We need to get Clem and everyone else to Wellington. There bound to be doctors there to take care of her. We don't have time to wait around and twiddle our thumbs."
"We can't just go out here without a plan or a real location." Molly argued.
"Are you deaf? I gave you the plan and a real location." Kenny snapped. "Look, I don't give two shits what you people think. I got this truck workin', so I say where we go, and we're headin' fuckin' north. It's the best chance we got of helpin' these kids.
"What about Arvo and Natasha?" Russell asked.
"Who? Oh, the Ruskies? Yeah, they ain't with us." Kenny said.
Vince was surprised by that. "You're just gonna leave them here?"
"I don't give a good goddamn where they go." Kenny said. "They're not coming with us."
"That's wrong, Kenny, they didn't do anything wrong." Russell said.
"Go in there and take a good look at Clem, then tell me that again." Kenny said.
"What happened to Clem wasn't their fault." Russell argued.
"They didn't really help the situation, but we shouldn't have walked on the ice in the first place. We should've found another way." Vince said.
"If that asshole hadn't ran, things would be different…" Kenny said.
"That's not true, Kenny… We all know that." Vince said.
"Either way, we might as well stay here and wait things out until tomorrow. We won't be going anywhere tonight…" Shel said.
"Yeah… we might as well, stay put and rest…" Russell said.
"Jesus fucking Christ. I give you people a workin' car and you wanna sit around on our asses. This makes no sense." Kenny huffed.
"Say what you want, our minds are made up. We're not going anywhere tonight…" Molly said.
Kenny huffed. "Goddamn it!" He got into the truck and slammed the door.
"Somebody needs to talk some sense into him. He's completely reckless right now. He's gonna get us all killed." Vince said.
"I'll do it…" Molly said. "Or at least try… Go check on Clem, will you, Shel…"
"Of course." Shel said.
As the others head inside, Molly makes her way to the truck and opens the door.
"Get the fuck out of here!" Kenny immediately yells.
"I just wanna talk." Molly said.
"Ain't nothing to talk about. You made it real clear how you feel." Kenny replied.
"I know you think you're helping but leaving now won't do us any good. Clem's in bad shape… with how things are going right now… we don't even know if she'll wake up…" Molly said.
"She will wake up! And we need to get her out of here if we want her to recover. I don't want a child's blood on my hands, and I don't think you do either." Kenny said. "Think about Rebecca and Alvin, what they would want for AJ. Think about Lee, I mean, he went tearin' across half of Georgia lookin' for that little girl? A lotta folks died to keep these kids safe. A lotta folks died to get us this far. We owe it to them to keep those kids alive!"
"And I want to keep them safe more than anything. I want to keep Clem safe more than anything but going out there…. That's not the way." Molly said.
"We can't just give up. Look, I know Wellington might be bullshit. But where there's smoke, there's fire." Kenny said.
"We can't just place our bets on "what ifs"." Molly replied.
"I know but still…" Kenny muttered. "There have to be folks doin' better than us. It's the only chance that these kids have… Just think on it, Molly."
Molly sighs and decides to head back inside. She really hopes Kenny will think on her words as well.
"Clementine."
Clementine jerks awake and looks around, realizing she's in the RV next to Lee.
"L-Lee… ?"
"It's just a bad dream, sweet pea. What was it about? Duck?"
Clementine frowned at the mention of Duck. "He's bit..."
"We don't know how this works yet. Maybe it's like a cold. His mom's a doctor. Maybe she can help him. When I was a kid, I never got sick, but my brother always had somethin'. I always thought he was fakin' it." Lee said.
Clementine shook her head. "He's going to die... I know it."
"You don't know that." Lee said.
Clementine did know… "I feel bad…" The child muttered.
"Why?" Lee asked.
"I called him a crybaby...when I hid the bug in his pillow." Clementine explained.
"Oh, that's okay, honey. You didn't mean it." Lee said.
Clementine was silent for a moment as she glanced over to Lilly. "Lee..."
"Hmm?"
"Why did Lilly do that to Carley?" Clementine asked.
Lee sighed and spoke, "I don't know. She was sad, Clem. That can make people angry sometimes."
"That's a dumb reason." Clementine said.
"You're right. It is." Lee said. "Clem, people don't always make sense."
"How come?" Clementine asked.
"'Cause bad things happen to everyone. And it's hard to keep bein' yourself after they do." Lee said.
"What do you think? Should we have left her behind?" Lee asked.
"Maybe…. I don't know…" Clementine muttered.
"I don't know either. She wouldn't make it very long out there alone." Lee said. "I don't know if we did the right thing."
Clementine furrowed her brows. "How can you tell?"
"Well, it's not like math, Clem. Sometimes there just isn't a right answer." Lee said.
"I hate math." Clementine replied.
Lee chuckled, "Me too, sweet pea. Yeah, but part of growing up is doing what's best for the people you care about...even if sometimes...that means hurting someone else."
Clementine frowned. "I don't want to hurt anyone."
"It's not that easy." Lee said.
Clementine whimpered a bit. "I'm scared, Lee."
"What can I tell you to make it better?"
"That you would leave me." Clementine said.
"Oh, I wouldn't do that. I promise… Everything's gonna be alright."
Clementine can't stop herself as tears began falling. Lee puts a comforting arm around her and holds her close.
"Let's try to get some sleep." Lee says to her.
Clementine doesn't protest. "Okay, Lee..."
Clementine closes her eyes.
"Clem."
A twitch.
"Clementine..."
The girl twitches even more, lightly murmuring to herself.
Shel and Molly exchange looks.
Molly calls to her girl again, a small smile on her lips. "She's waking up…"
With their attention on Clementine and the others asleep, they hadn't realized Arvo and Natasha making their way out of the back door.
As Clementine's eyes continued to flutter Molly's spirits lifted and a huge wave of relief wash over her.
Molly took the child's hand, "Come on, Clem... Wake up, kiddo..."
After a few moments Molly frowns as she hears noises from outside. Molly furrowed her brows and released her grip on the child's hand. She stood and peeked outside the window trying to see what was going on. She couldn't see much out there.
"Molly?" Shel calls.
"Someone's out there." Molly informs her.
"What?" Shel asked.
"Someone's outside." Molly said. "I'm going to check it out."
"Alone…?" Shel frowned.
"I'll be fine… Just stay with Clem." Molly grabbed a nearby gun and slowly made her way outside. As she did, she could make out two figures. "Don't move."
The two siblings whip around to face her. They had been putting supplies into the truck. Both of the siblings aim weapons at her.
"Put the guns down and step away from the truck." Molly ordered.
Arvo and Natasha remained glued in place.
"We not want to shoot." Arvo said.
"You don't have to… just put the gun down." Molly said.
Arvo shook his head. "We must go… We go now."
"You can't take that truck. I won't let you." Molly said.
Arvo looked away the frowned and said, "I'm sorry."
"Molly, what's going on-"
A gunshot rang out, filling the air. Molly was surprised to see she was not hit, but quickly realized Vince was… She glared at Arvo and Natasha and fired a shot of her own, hearing Arvo cry out his sister's name.
Molly rushed to Vince's side to evaluate his wound. She kept pressure on Vince's wound while Arvo helped his sister into the truck. As much as she wanted to stop them, she had to focus on Vince.
Kenny and Russell sound came outside, drawn by the noise. "What the fuck happened?!" Kenny inquired.
"Oh shit, Vince!" Russell yelled in terror.
Kenny started chasing after the truck yelling all the while. "GET BACK HERE!"
Kenny continued to run after the vehicle, however it sped off until he eventually lost sight of it. Kenny sank to his knees wondering what they were going to do now.
