~Mary Poppins
Heels clacked briskly across the pavement as the well-postured and -dressed nanny, toting her carpet bag, took her afternoon walk. It was a well-deserved break, if she said so herself, away from the children.
As she passed a window, she paused to admire her reflection and to adjust her hat. "Mary Poppins, my dear," she told herself, "you really are quite charming."
Satisfied, she turned on her heel and continued onwards, intent on procuring herself a box of creamy, delightful chocolates from the market.
Up ahead, she noticed an imposing structure: a tall blue Police callbox.
Mildly surprised, Mary Poppins approached and rapped several times on the threshold of the open door.
"Doctor? Is that you?" she called. Entering, she pulled the door closed behind her.
