Vardossk gave a firm nod in conclusion, and walked away with the Sergeant and Zylas. "Lola, we have our paperwork on file, finally," spoke Kyl'likki. "So we can just walk around, now, no need for an escort on top of us," she finished as she cast a look at Mina. Lola caught that, and agreed. "Yeah, let's take a look around, explore some. Isn't everyday you get to be on a ship like this!"
Mina shot Lola yet another look, then warmed her features as she smiled at the man beside her. She then brushed up into him, which made Lola scowl. He doesn't like you. I don't like you, either. You just watch yourself! "So, Buddy," asked Mina. "We should go to the commissary and get some last minute snacks 'n stuff, hmm?" "Probably'd be a good idea, yeah?" he shrugged casually, and Lola gave him a little look as he did. "Is Buddy your real name?" He caught her intent, and smiled as he placed his arm around Mina. "Yep, and me 'n Mina are really good buddies, too. We work together in maintenance, swabbing the decks for our glorious Empire."
The two gazed into the other's eyes for a brief moment. The height of the sergeant beside her loomed in from the side, though she paid Lola no mind and simply stood between Mina as she entered into small talk with Buddy. The fur clad woman traipsed away quickly with the Twi'lek, who once out of earshot praised Lola. "Good piloting skills, there, knowing when to bail." Lola rolled her eyes, and humphed at that.
"She isn't into him, I'm not worried one bit. The Sergeant just dislikes that boyish Lieutenant is all. That tart wouldn't stop mean muggin' me, earlier. She's askin' for a beatdown if she keeps it up." Lola then bobbed her head and fluffed her furs. "Anyway, where we headed?" "You mean us walking, or?" asked the Twi'lek. "Yeah," replied the fur clad woman. "Yeah, or yeah?" Kyl'likki asked with a subtle intonation shift. "The latter." "Not out here. We're spec ops, now." Lola looked up at the woman beside her.
"To our ship, then. No sense being too far away when we get called back." "You don't need another nap, Lola. 'Sides, we can go anywhere we want, and past it being dark and ominous here, it's clean, and nobody looks at us weird." "Hmm," hummed Lola. "Well, they got a firing range, or a combat course, perhaps? Can't have all these soldiers not run drills." "Glad to see you're still taking this lifestyle seriously, Lola, even if all you think about are Panna cakes and sippy juice cartons." The Twi'lek replied. "Expensive clothes, too." added Lola. "Mister Handsome likes his women fancy, I can tell." "He's a real lapti nek, that's for sure," agreed Kyl'likki. "Lapti nek, weeow!" sang the fur clad woman to the amusement of passing ISB troopers in formation. Their lieutenant raised his hand, and they began to sing the song with gusto as their cadence while they marched along. Kyl'likki looked beside her. "Well aren't you the little trendsetter?" Lola blushed, then covered her mouth.
The two ventured back to the Sanguine Sunrise to see Vardossk with a team of technical crew outside the ship. "He really wants me to have it, huh?" Vardossk asked loudly, and with a press of his fob, a hidden ramp lowered from the aft of the ship.
"Alright, men, let me clear the speederbikes and that speeder-Twi'lek, Lola, perfect timing! Come help me out!" He hollered. "Take everything out of the garage so we can load the bikes into the cargo hold." "On it," Kyl'likki replied, and Lola followed suit. "Wow, check this swoop! Bet this thing goes fast!" Lola exclaimed as a wicked looking black circular bike came into view. ""Be careful with it, Katarn. That one is precious!" the Trandoshan warned as Lola took the handles.
"I'm just coasting it, Colonel, isn't the first bike I've cruised. This is really nice, though." The vehicles were transferred, and a beastly looking hunting pod that doubled as an armored hover car soon backed out with the Trandoshan at the controls. Love the camo on that, Lola thought. Some kind of wasteland pattern or somethin'
The Colonel parked it, and then gazed into the garage. From the corner of her eye, the dead ringer for Alyssa appeared and walked up to the driver side. "Is there enough room, Colonel?" she asked hopefully, to which Vardossk nodded. "Yeah, we can take her." "Yiss!" the woman smiled as the small ship came into view. A sharply angled airspeeder painted a flat charcoal rested atop a goldenrod mobile jack stand. Lola admired the burnt orange stripe that ran across the back and up the nose, and found the fighter pleasing to the eye.
"Alright, Vanessa," the Trandoshan spoke with a wave of his hand. "Your crop duster's going in the back, there, as my rig here's the mainstay in the field." "Got it. I'll taxi it in so we don't have to heave ho it in there," She hesitated. "If you don't mind-" "You're fine, Sergeant. Go for it."
Vanessa opened the cockpit from a side panel and entered. "Clear the deck, men!" Vardossk ordered, and the Imperials backed up as the woman powered up the T-Forty Seven. With precision Vanessa taxied the wedge speeder into into the garage and backed her in. The technical crew followed after once she powered it down, and secured the ship with restraining clamps. "Katarn, get the speeder in there, next." Lola backed in the speeder, then Vardossk followed after as he backed the rig in. Once the two left, the Trandoshan closed the ramp while he addressed the men before him.
"Thank you for your help, and nice work on my ship. She looks good as new. Dismissed!" The ramp shut with a clang, and the men returned with a salute and parted ways. Well didn't she get the limelight, there. Really digging that speeder, though. The woman walked up with a shy smile while she spoke to Vardossk. "Thanks for letting me take her." The Trandoshan looked at the Sanguine Sunrise. "You're welcome, Vanessa." Vardossk looked up at the Sanguine Sunrise. "And she's all set for the next leg of our adventure," he spoke, then faced Lola and Kyl'likki. "And what do you two want?"
