Drew yawned as the movie ended and turned to curl up into Hailey's side.

She smiled down at him and rubbed his back, "Ready for bed?"

"I thought I could sleep here," Drew said.

Jay laughed softly, "Who said that?"

"No one," Drew shrugged, "But since you and Mom are upset, I figured it was a good idea to keep an eye on you."

"Hey," Jay shook his head, "You don't have to worry about me and Mom."

"Yeah I do," Drew sat up, "Do you need anything? I can go get us a snack or water."

"It's late, honey," Hailey patted his leg, "How about you go get in bed? Dad and I will be there in a minute."

Drew shook his head, "I'm sleeping here tonight."

"Mom and I are fine, bud," Jay sighed while getting out of bed, "Up. Come on."

"You know I'm just gonna sneak back in here, right?" Drew whispered while walking out of the room.

"What was that?" Hailey sat up, "Jay, what did he say?"

"I don't know," Jay shook his head and followed Drew. He stood in the doorway and watched Drew pull the covers over himself in bed, "You good?"

"I'm not happy," Drew laid down, turning his back to Jay.

"Drew," Jay walked over and knelt next to the bed, "Look at me."

"You and Mom are lying to me," Drew said, but still rolled over.

"How do you know?" Jay raised his eyebrows.

"Because you're not fine," Drew lightly pushed Jay's forehead, "If you were fine, you would have stayed in Wisconsin."

Jay frowned and leaned his elbows onto the bed, "Okay, we're not fine. Want me to tell the truth?"

"Obviously," Drew said.

"Mom and I are scared," Jay whispered, "We don't know what's going to happen to the ba-Buzz," he rubbed his face, "He's really sick right now and we don't know how long he's going to be like that."

Drew chewed his lip, "I'm guessing he's more sick than just a cold."

Jay nodded, "Much more sick than that."

Drew rubbed his arm, "Oh."

Jay set his hand on Drew's, "Bud, don't scratch."

"Well now that I know that something's really wrong I'm nervous," Drew's voice jumped an octave.

Jay moved onto the bed and pulled Drew onto his lap, "I'm sorry."

"Hey," Hailey said softly and stepped in the room, "What's going on?"

"Dad said Buzz is really sick and he doesn't know when he'll get better," Drew blinked his eyes quickly. He breathed shakily and gripped Jay's shirt, "My-My heart is pounding really fast."

"Okay," Jay took his hand, "We can beat this. We're catching it at the beginning. Eyes on me."

Hailey quickly sat on Drew's other side and rubbed his back, "We've got you. We're here."

"I'm not okay," Drew's eyes darted around the room.

"But you will be," Jay said, "Breathe with me, remember? Deep breaths."

"No, no, this isn't okay," Drew cried. He dug his fingers into Jay's arm and shook his head fast, "I can't. I can't."

Jay winced, "Buddy-"

"No," Drew whimpered, "It's not okay."

Hailey tried peeling him off of Jay, "Drew, look at me. Look at Mom."

"Hails, he's sweating really bad," Jay shook his head.

"I know," she breathed and finally got Drew onto the bed, "Okay, give me your hand," she gently took his fist and slowly pulled his fingers apart, "Look, let's both focus on Dad, okay? Sound good?"

"No," Drew cried harder, "I'm so scared."

"I am too," Hailey said softly, "But we have to stick together," she lightly pressed Drew's hand to Jay's chest, "You and me and Dad, we're all together."

"And B-Buzz," Drew's lip wavered.

"And Buzz," Jay repeated and put his hand over Hailey's on top of Drew's, "Come on, bud, you can fight this. You're stronger than this, I know you are."

Drew blinked quickly against the tears falling down his face before scrunching his eyes up and beginning to mouth something.

"What's that, sweetheart?" Hailey asked quietly.

"I'm counting," Drew sniffled and continued.

Jay breathed out and closed his eyes briefly, softening as Drew slowly calmed down.

"There you go," Hailey whispered and rubbed circles on Drew's back, "We're so proud of you."

Jay nodded, "You're doing so good."

Drew pulled his hand away from Jay and scooted backwards on the bed.

"What're you thinking about?" Jay asked.

"Um," Drew yawned and pressed his hands into his face, "I think I need to be alone."

"I don't know about that," Hailey set her hand on his leg.

"No," Drew pushed her hand away, "I'm-I'm thinking."

Jay swallowed, "How about you think out loud?"

Drew shook his head and crawled to the top of the bed. He slid under the covers, facing the wall again.

"If you need to talk, Dad and I will be in our room," Hailey lightly kissed the top of his head.

Drew nodded and pulled his knees up to his chest.

Jay blew out his breath and rubbed Drew's side before standing up. He walked out of the room, waiting for Hailey to follow, then closed the door. "At least he can breathe again," he sighed.

Hailey nodded. She took Jay's hand in her own and led him downstairs. Her eyes widened at the sight of Vanessa sitting on their couch watching TV, "Hey."

Vanessa turned around, "Hey," she lowered the volume, "Everything okay? How're you two feeling?"

"What're you doing here?" Jay asked, slowly walking to sit in the recliner, "I thought everyone was leaving."

Vanessa shrugged, "Figured it was a good idea to stay the night in case you need a babysitter."

"Why would we need a babysitter?" Hailey sat next to her on the couch.

"Maybe you want to go get a drink or something," Vanessa leaned back into the cushions, "You want to? I'm cool with staying here."

Jay glanced to Hailey, "What do you say?"

"What?" she laughed weakly, "Jay."

He shrugged, "I wouldn't mind a beer."

"You threw up today," Hailey's eyebrows shot up, "I don't think alcohol's a good solution to that."

"I was overwhelmed and the anxiety got to me," Jay said.

"Let him drink," Vanessa waved her hand, "What's the worst that could happen?"

"Um he gets sick again," Hailey looked between the two of them, "We're not going to Molly's."

"Hailey," Vanessa sighed and sat up, "You two had a pretty traumatic day, go relax. I can hold down the fort."

"Come on, Hailey," Jay smiled a little, "I'll buy."

"Oh," Hailey laughed and stood, "That sold me. With the money we share in our joint bank account, you're gonna buy," she nodded, "I'm down."

Jay chuckled and followed her to the door, "It's the thought that counts."

"Mhmm," Hailey shook her head while slipping her shoes on.

"Two more?" Jay asked Hermann once him and Hailey both silently finished their first round of beers.

"You got it," Hermann lightly hit the bar and walked away.

"I thought we were going to do just one," Hailey lightly touched her foot to Jay's.

"And then we didn't talk at all, so it didn't count," Jay said.

Herman came back with two bottles of beer and two shot glasses. He set them down and filled the glasses with vodka.

"What's going on?" Hailey laughed.

"Yeah, I know we wanted to take the edge off, but that's a lot," Jay said.

"Compliments of your boss," Hermann shrugged, "Next one's on me, okay? Just let me know when you're ready."

As he walked away, Hailey huffed out a breath and picked up one of the glasses. She stared at it, shaking her head, "I mean…"

Jay smirked, "Really? You're gonna do it?"

She sighed, "Why not?" Hailey poured the drink down her throat and coughed, "Wow."

Jay laughed before drinking his. He winced with another laugh, "Wow's right."

Hailey took one of the bottles of beer and held it out, "To having a newborn."

Jay smiled and tapped his bottle to hers, "To Baby Buzz."

Hailey rolled her eyes while sipping her beer. "No," she said against the rim of the bottle.

"So we're going to break our kid's heart and not name the baby he just cried over the name he so desperately wants?" Jay chuckled.

"Correct," Hailey smiled.

"Could be a nickname," Jay suggested.

"I could maybe be persuaded to that," Hailey said.

"All right," Jay sipped his drink, "So we've got a nickname, now we just need a name."

"Should we really be doing this with a buzz?" Hailey asked.

Jay laughed and shrugged. He eyed Hermann and waved him down, "Hey, we'll take those other shots, but also maybe some parenting advice?"

"Hit me," Hermann leaned against the bar.

"Jay thinks now's a good time to name our baby," Hailey said.

Hermann smiled, "Naming kids is hard work. A little alcohol makes it easy."

"Are we going to name him something stupid, though?" Hailey sighed.

"There's always the morning to change your mind," Hermann pulled out the bottle of vodka, "He's not in your arms yet, right?"

Jay nodded and rubbed his face, "We have about two days."

"So two days to settle on a name," Hermann poured the drinks, "Maybe this vodka lights up your imagination and you name your son here and now at my bar or maybe you come up with the worst name on the planet," he set the bottle down, "You two didn't say a word to each other the first fifteen minutes you were in here. Any conversation is a better than no conversation." He nodded at Jay then walked to the other end of the bar.

Hailey smiled slightly and picked up the shot glass, "He has a point."

Jay nodded and tapped his glass to hers, "Let's do it."

They both tipped the vodka back at the same time, sharing the same shudder as the alcohol burned their throats.

Hailey cleared her throat and wiped her mouth, "Christopher."

"After Hermann?" Jay laughed, "Think harder."

She smiled, "Okay…um," she sighed and ran a hand through her hair, "Jack."

"Jack's too similar to Jay," Jay shook his head, "Kids could shorten it to Jay and then we're both Jay and next thing you know he's being called Junior and that's not my style."

"You are so picky," Hailey laughed, "You hit me then. What exactly is your style?"

"I can't name things," Jay chuckled, "My own name is literally one letter and I once named a fish Swimmy, so no."

Hailey laughed harder, "Jay, I can't do this on my own."

"I'm good with Buzz," Jay smirked and sipped his beer.

"Uh-huh," Hailey nodded, "What about this then? We give him a name that starts with B so the Buzz nickname isn't such a stretch?"

Jay thought about it before slowly nodding, "I can get on board with that."

"Perfect," Hailey smiled, "So we have an initial," she clapped her hands together, "Can I suggest something else?"

"Go for it," Jay tucked her hair back behind her ear.

"His middle name's Jay," Hailey said softly.

He took a deep breath, "I…"

"It's not naming him after you really," Hailey shrugged, "It's honoring you. You…you're a good man and I want our kids – our sons – to look up to you."

Jay swirled his finger around the rim of his bottle and nodded slightly, "I could maybe swallow that pill."

Hailey smiled and lightly kissed his cheek, "Good."

"So we have B. Jay Halstead," Jay said. Him and Hailey made eye contact before bursting into laughter.

"Oh no," Hailey covered her face, "What did we do?"

"I think this is one of those stupid names Hermann was talking about," Jay laughed.

"Dammit," Hailey breathed with a smile, "Okay, which part has to go?"

"The Jay," Jay chuckled, "I think there are many ways it could go wrong."

"Fine, fine," Hailey shook her head, "No Jay, but we're keeping the B."

They fell into another bout of silence as they each finished their second beer.

Hermann came over and put his hands on the bar, "How's the naming going? I noticed you two got quiet."

"Our son's name was Blow Job for a second, so I'd say real good," Jay said.

Hermann laughed and nodded, "You don't realize how hard initials can be until you have to name a baby. Another round?"

"No, we should be going," Hailey stood, "We should relieve Vanessa."

"I actually would like a water first," Jay looked toward Hailey, "That okay?"

"Yeah," she nodded and sat back down, "Of course."

"Thanks," he said.

Hermann passed him a glass of water, "I can call your brother if you need me to."

"Nah, this'll be good enough, just need a couple minutes," Jay shrugged, "Thanks though."

Hermann nodded and walked away.

Hailey watched Jay slowly drink his water before she said softly, "You remember when we first decided to take Drew in? That night? You had spent all weekend trying to get those kids matched with police officers for Grace's program."

Jay thought and squinted his eyes slightly, "Vaguely. We ate chili and then had sex which didn't feel great, kinda hurt my stomach."

Hailey laughed, "I'm glad I made an impression on you."

"You always make an impression on me," Jay smiled, "What about it though? I have a feeling you're not remembering the chili or what followed."

"Blake," Hailey said simply.

"Blake?" Jay straightened up, "Who's Blake?"

"That's the name you said you liked for boys," Hailey set her hand on his knee.

Jay took a deep breath, "I guess I remember that."

"Why do you like it?" Hailey asked.

"Um," Jay looked around, "I don't know," he rubbed his face, "I was researching my family – I think my senior year of high school? – and I traced my mom's family back in Ireland to this rich tribe of people. I can't remember the whole story, but she was a descendent of this family with the last name Blake and ever since then it's always stuck with me."

Hailey nodded along and rubbed her thumb over Jay's leg, "So what do you think?"

Jay smiled slightly and stared down at the bar, "It'd be kind of cool to name him after my mom."

"I like it," Hailey said softly.

Jay looked up at her, his mouth turning up more, "Okay."

"Okay," Hailey repeated and leaned forward to kiss him, "Blake Halstead."

Jay wrapped an arm around her shoulders, tugging her closer to him before resting his forehead against hers, "Now we just need a middle name."

Hailey breathed out and sat back, "Let's see. Blake…Blake Halstead…Blake…"

"Hey," Hermann called down the bar as he hung up his phone, "You two are good to go when you're ready."

"I never paid," Jay said.

Hermann waved his hand, "You're good."

Hailey turned to look at him, "You sure?"

"Consider it taken care of," Hermann nodded.

"I have cash," Jay pulled out his wallet.

"Kid, Voight took care of you," Hermann shook his head, "Go home."

Jay laughed slightly and put his wallet back in his coat, "Why am I not surprised?" He stood and helped Hailey put her own jacket on, "Paid for our wedding, buys our kids nice stuff, protects us, it always comes back to Hank Voight."

Hailey set a hand on Jay's arm and raised an eyebrow.

He made eye contact with her and chuckled, "Hailey."

"A lot of people name their kids after their dads," Hailey said, "And neither one of us has a good relationship with our biological father."

"You don't think it's strange?" Jay asked and walked her out of the bar.

"He walked me down the aisle," Hailey said.

Jay stopped and turned to face her. She had a light in her eyes for the first time since 8:30am; it was a fire he only saw when she was really determined and he'd be lying if he said it didn't spark something in him too.

He smiled a little and nodded, "Confirm it in the morning?"

"Works for me," Hailey wrapped an arm around his waist and finished the walk to his truck.
