Everything belongs to Jk Rowling. Yesterday I went to the Harry Potter film studios, it was sooo amazing.
Remus ran up and down the corridor. I need somewhere to hide, he thought desperately. They were playing hide and seek, and Remus had foolishly not planned what he was going to be doing. He reached the end of the corridor, and he couldn't see anywhere to hide. He ran back along the corridor. I need somewhere to hide, he thought desperately.
When he reached the end of the corridor, he was horrified to hear James counting in the 80s. James had given them 100 seconds to hide, and already he was at 84.
Remus ran down the corridor. "85" I need somewhere to hide, he thought again. "86" he kept running. "87" he heard a strange sound, and turned around. "88" the wall was moving, showing a door. Remus dived through the door, as James said "90"
Remus fell backwards with relief. Hopefully the room would not show itself to James. Remus was so glad he had found somewhere to hide, with 10 seconds to spare, although he was also weary of the room.
Remus knew of an old tale his father used to tell him before the bite. A tale about the secret room inside Hogwarts, the chamber of secrets, that housed a monster Slytherins heir alone could control, and would one day release upon the school, purging it of those not worthy to study.
Although Remus supposed the story meant muggleborns, he was fairly sure that a werewolf was not worthy to study. After all, most people did not even think a werewolf was worthy of living.
What if he, Remus John Lupin, had discovered the chamber of secrets?
Remus looked around him. He supposed that was impossible, it must be some other room. But what if he accidentally set a monster on the muggleborns? Although, Remus thought, he supposed he was probably more of a monster than whatever was in the chamber of secrets. At least that monster was controllable by someone. A werewolf in its transformed state was uncontrollable by any wizard, no matter how extreme their magical powers. That was why Newt Scamander set up the werewolf registry, why Newt Scamander classified werewolves as beasts rather than beings, why so many laws against werewolves were passed. Remus longed for the day when "werewolf" would no longer be a thing. When instead, "people inflicted with lycanthrope" was used, and werewolves would technically be humans.
Remus thought that if he was the heir of slytherin, he would not think it was the muggleborns unworthy to study. no, he thought that the people who wanted the muggleborns dead, the muggles enslaved, the werewolves and other half breeds (Remus frequently thought of himself as half breed, especially when he was upset) dead, those were the people who were unworthy.
Remus wondered if it was okay to think anyone was unworthy of something. He wished he had his book with him.
Suddenly, Remus heard a noise behind him. He turned around. A copy of hairy snout human heart sat on the desk. Remus could swear it had not been there before. He picked it up, flicking through the pages. It was a newer version than Remus's.
It is never okay to deny someone's right to live. However, if someone is causing harm to others, it is okay to need a space away from them, and that should be protected. It is wrong to make it so that people are never allowed a break from the people who hate on them.
