Hey there cats and kittens!
My name is Lillian, otherwise known as OffensivePhilosphy. The last time this story was updated was in 2017, and before then 2015. As you can probably imagine this story is abandoned. My coauthor and I, Rachel, otherwise known as VampireMassacre, are doing well (we've been dating for the last three years)!
First things first, I was inspired to put up this author's note due to a recent anonymous comment left on this story that shook me to my core because I didn't think people actually read this anymore? People are still on ? Fascinating. And the comment was sweet and much appreciated.
The comment told me people still read this story sometimes, and Rachel and I logged into our accounts recently and discovered that, for 5+ year old stories, we still get a little traffic. Which makes sense! We each have a complete story each, and Teaparty is over 144k words and arguably not terrible. Also they're really, really smutty and gay.
But now, as a 23 year old, I see them as kinda yikes. I mean, considering all the rape and pedophilia and all that. You know how it was in 2012. We were both minors who didn't understand the implications of what we were writing. We just thought it was "sexeh".
Anyway, I'm leaving this note here to let you all know this story isn't actually abandoned.
Rachel and I still really love these characters and this world, and we have very real plans to write it into an actual novel that actually gets published with an actual publishing company. This includes Velvet Seduction and Alex in Wonderland.

If you're interested in knowing, here is a short section of the long list of the major changes we have made in the story, because it's been pretty heavily overhauled since this fanfic was regularly updating:
-A majority of the minor characters have been aged up. Alex, Julus, Devin, etc are now all in their early to mid-20s, and Alex and Devin are university students.
-The Jabberwocky goes to live and rehabilitate with the Southern Mad Hatter, instead of the Southern March Hare. The main couple is still March and Jay, and they have a healthier dynamic.
-Mental health is way more frequently addressed.
-We've added about 100% more dragons. There's a lot of dragons now.
-Julus and Cata will ACTUALLY BE A COUPLE. Along with a lovely intersex dragon and a bigender mer-person. We love polyamory in this house. Also slow burn.
Along with general improvements in every single way possible since it's now two adults writing and not two teenagers. This story as it is is very problematic and we want to do better. We will do better.
So here's the deal. The names of Velvet Seduction and Alex in Wonderland will likely be changing, but this combined story will always remain Teaparty. It's a good name and we're keeping it. So google us in maybe 5 years, and see what's up. Or if you come back to this story and find it's been deleted, then we're probably in the publishing process and have been commanded by the powers that be to delete this fanfic.
