Lessons In Love: Chapter Fourty-One: Nigdy Nie - Never No (Part 5)

"Why can't I read any of this stuffffff?!"

Victor brought one of the books over to his older brother. He joined the growing protest, and he attempted to unlock whatever curse was placed on Stephen.

He was able to read the book with Clea, but the translation of it disappeared whenever she was gone.

Victor was just figuring that out, and he was getting very upset. Stephen could see how angry he was. His body was tense, and he looked like he was about to cry. Victor was very emotional, and he tossed the book down on the ground.

It slid beside Steve's knee. He was still adding weight to the protest, and the blonde picked up the book.

Steve was still far behind in his training. He accomplished some physical goals with the help of his older self, but the energy, and spells were not part of his routine.

That was ok for Steve, because his entity was Oshtur. Oshtur did not play any games. She handled things with fairness, and balance.

Steve could read the book, so he was a little confused about Victor's anger. Steve looked over some of the pages, and he heard something for the first time.

Someone told him to flip eight pages, and Steve did exactly that. He saw an illustration of some sort of force being lifted off of a person.

The details of the person were unclear, but it was clear that energy was being pushed away.

Tony took a glimpse of what Steve was focused on. It looked like gibberish to him, so the brunette arched an eyebrow. Steve was reading?

He looked like he was actually reading what it said. The blonde was still sitting on the ground, but he turned his body and looked at Stephen.

Stephen did not return the attention. He focused on his brother, while Steve started to speak.

"Omnipotent Oshtur, remove the spell that clouds his mind."

And just like that, the small group of protesters saw a gentle blue light, and Stephen was covered with it. His feet touched the ground, and he almost fell forward.

Stephen felt like he weighed over a thousand pounds. He caught himself by grabbing onto two things.

One hand gripped Tony's shoulder, while the other one latched onto Steve's. They both tried to hold him up, and keep him from falling on his face.

Whoa. Stephen swallowed, and he started accepting the fact that he could move. He moved his mouth, and slowly stepped back. He stretched to his full posture as the others looked up.

Steve glanced back down at the book. They all heard Tony give an excited laugh. The brunette raised both of his arms up, up, up.

"NO WAY! That was so kick ass. You're alive Stephen."

Tony was so excited. He jumped up and hugged those strong shoulders. Stephen was shocked. He gasped at the contact, but he didn't say a single word. Stephen let that noise hug him, and then another one joined him.

Victor hugged where there was room, because he thought his brother was going to be stuck like that forever. Stephen wasn't technically prepared for the bombardment of hugs. He tried to maintain his composure and balance, and he looked in Steve's direction.

The would-be-soldier just smiled. There was no real effort behind what he did, and the hug fest amused him. Tony started saying that he could finally stretch and shower, and he was beaming with excitement over the change in scene.

They won a battle over the older Stephen. That in itself had Baby Tony overjoyed.

Tony picked up that pillow, and he started gathering two blankets. Steve gestured to help him with what he was carrying, and of course, Tony bashfully agreed.

Stephen watched Tony leave. He let the brunette run off with his fairy-tale prince. For some reason, that thought entered Stephen's conflicted mind.

He remained by his brother, and just watched the other two walk away. He intended to thank Steve for doing that, at some point, but Stephen started making sure that every muscle in his body actually functioned.

Magic was trippy. Victor picked up the book, as Stephen quietly said something to his brother.

His voice worked, so that was a good sign.
