Asajj's redemption and salvation

Galactic showdown! In an act of desperation and survival, the Republic and the Confederacy engage in battle in the solar system of Sullust. Count Dooku's most cunning assassin, Asajj Ventress leads the attack, unaware that her Sith masters sense the conflict within her.

Ventress was leading a space battle against Sly and Neyla in the Sullust System and was handling herself quite well, having destroyed part of a republic ship's bridge. Midway during the battle, she attempted to shoot down Neyla after gunning down several Clone pilots and damaging Neyla's fighter...and was gunned down by Sly in return. Both Neyla and Ventress crashed in the hangar of a Separatist flagship, while the raccoon Jedi landed safely to assist his wife and fellow Jedi.

Meanwhile in Dooku's private chambers on his home planet

The old Sith lord had received a call from his his master, Lord Sidious. He had no idea what for but had a feeling that it had to do with Ventress. He'd been sensing the growing conflict within her about her loyalty to him and her growing feelings for someone, despite her attempts to hide it. And not only that, she'd seemed to be on guard around him, as if ready for an attack, even standing up to him lately. Dooku knew that this couldn't go on anymore and was secretly plotting to have her killed, but 1st, he'd see what his master wanted as he answered the call before Sidious' holographic image appeared, making Dooku get on 1 knee and bow. "My master." He said with respect.

"Lord Tyranus, there is a great disturbance in the Force. Your assassin is growing... conflicted, being on guard and standing up to you lately. And for what, a pathic emotion like love?" Sidious asked, hitting the nail on the head.

"Indeed. She has grown quite... rebellious lately." Dooku said with distaste.

"Yes. Her powers are growing stronger, but not because of her anger, but because of this... love she thinks she has for...a Jedi, although which 1, I don't know. I would have to think that she would try to take this Jedi as her apprentice...in an attempt to destroy us...or to simply...live in peace." Sidious said with Venom at the words peace and love, as he hated both, along with what they represented.

"With how rebellious she has become lately, it is most likely that either 2 are possible, my lord. What do you suggest I do?"

"The only thing that you can do: kill her." Sidious said with an insane smile.

"I was going to anyway, my master, but I 1st needed to know what you would want. Very well, lord Sidious. Ventress will be...dealt with momentarily." Dooku said with an evil smile.

Meanwhile, back at the battle

Asajj knew she couldn't be captured and contacted Dooku, begging him to help her. "Master, I need your help." She said, wanting to be free a bit longer to 1 day free Ahsoka and either run away with her or eventually kill Sidious and Dooku and rule the universe together with her Togruta princess.

But Dooku coldly refused to assist her; stating that she was no longer worthy of being his apprentice. "You have already lost the battle, child. I have already ordered your reinforcements to withdraw. But that's not all... you rebellious, lovesick brat! You are no longer worthy of being my apprentice and you will pay for your failures...with your life!"

Ventress stare with a look of shock and anger: realizing that what her Ahsoka had said to her on Christopholosis was true...how her master and the Separatists would eventually betray her. "You backstabbing bastard! What Cooper and Neyla said was true! You and that insane bastard, Sidious are betraying me...and for what?! Because of my power growing stronger, huh? Is that it?!"

"YES! With your power growing stronger like it has, who is to say you wouldn't have betrayed the Sith for your own goals? You will never find peace with the 1 you think you love, for I vow to make her life a living nightmare for the rest of her days!" Dooku found before breaking off contact.

After punching the hologram projector, Ventress exited her wrecked fighter and faced both Sly and Neyla...while they both noted the look of hurt, anger and betrayal on her face and felt sympathy as they suspected what had happened before she stepped out of her fighter.

Sly stated calmly. "We don't have to do this, Ventress."

The now former Sith apprentice stated somberly? "Yes...we do, Cooper."

Neyla stated while pleading with Asajj. "Ventress, please. Sly and I don't want to fight you. You can come back with us to Coruscant."

Ventress stated, knowing she wouldn't fit in with the Jedi or their Clone Troopers. "I'm sorry...I can't." The three of them then engaged in a heated lightsaber duel, with Sly, Neyla and Ventress equally matched and not able to catch the other off guard.

While secretly watching the battle through the hangar's camera...Dooku decided to end the battle: by having the other Confederate cruisers bombarding the flagship! After engaging in a lightsaber lock, Sly, Neyla and Ventress had fallen off balance as sections of the flagship were being destroyed! The three of them had glanced at each other; shocked that the Separatist ship was exploding and sections of the ceiling started to fall down on them; knowing they needed to evacuate before it was too late! Neyla and her secret husband had escaped by using his fighter and even though they could hardly see her...she and Sly had spotted Ventress climbing into her damaged but still functioning fighter!

After the battle had ended, Neyla and Sly knew Dooku abandoning and betraying Ventress could also lead to her salvation and contacted Ahsoka; informing her that Dooku betrayed Asajj and that she was somewhere in the remains of the battlefield. Knowing this was her chance to persuade Asajj to walk a different path, Ahsoka had headed to what was left of the battlefield: staring shocked by the debris of the wrecked ships, along with the corpses of the Clones that failed to escape the blast radius of the explosion and remains of destroyed Battle Droids. After what appeared to be half an hour of searching, Ahsoka's ship had managed to get a signal of Ventress's fighter and found it...along with seeing the unconscious former Sith in the cockpit and she would gasp in shock.

"Oh, no. Asajj!" Ahsoka said with concern for the 1 she loved.

Without wasting a second, the young Padawan had suited up and headed out to space; using the Force to pry open the cockpit and placing an oxygen mask over Ventress's face, providing her with air to breathe as she carried her onto her fighter. Once inside her ship, Ahsoka had laid the unconscious ex-Sith in the cockpit of her ship before contacting Masters Cooper and Neyla; letting them she found Ventress and asked if she should bring Ventress with her back to Coruscant. Both Sly and Neyla had instructed the young Padawan once she arrived to Coruscant, she was to get Asajj to a medical bay without being noticed by the Clones and how they would discuss the turn of events with Master Yoda, Shaak-Ti and Qymaen privately.

Once she and her masters had broken contact, Asajj eventually regained consciousness...and smiled softly at the sight of the young Padawan that she cared about and who cared about her and also the 1 she considered her princess. "By the Force she is so beautiful." She thought with a smile.

As if sensing that Asajj was awake, Ahsoka smiled and greeted her softly. "Nice to see you awake, Asajj. You gave me a bit of a scare there."

Asajj asked as she slowly stood up. "You're taking me to Coruscant, aren't you Ahsoka?"

The young Padawan turned to face the ex-Sith. "Masters Cooper, Neyla and I know you're not exactly thrilled about the idea of joining our cause Asajj...but you walking a dark path doesn't have to be your destiny. Just look at Qymaen: he was once Dooku's general and agent, but once Neyla and Shaak-Ti showed him the truth...he became one of us. He changed his ways and got a new life. I believe you can, too."

Asajj was silent as the young Padawan's words had warmed her heart and knew Ahsoka was right by using Qymaen as a perfect example: how he used to be the leader of the Droid Armies and hated the Jedi because he believed Dooku's lies about the Jedi being responsible for him being turned into a cyborg...until both Neyla and Shaak-Ti showed him the truth and he had changed his ways: he was now fighting alongside the Jedi, helping them maintain peace because Sly, Neyla and Shaak-Ti had offered and given him his life back.

Asajj stated, while still feeling conflicted. "I...I don't know. I'd hoped that you would run away with me...so we could be together. Free from the Jedi, free from the Sith and free to do whatever we want and free to have fun across the universe with no 1 telling us what to do."

Ahsoka smiled while softly reaching for Ventress' hand. "Both Sly and Neyla are already discussing what had happened with Master Yoda, Shaak-Ti and Qymaen. I know you can turn your life around Asajj. If you won't do it for yourself...then at least do it for me."

Asajj smiled warmly at the young Padawan, since she was giving her so much faith, acceptance and more importantly...love; which was something she hadn't received from anyone since she could remember. She then stated softly while intertwining their fingers together, and cupping the younger girl's face with her free hand. "I won't just do it for you Ahsoka...I'll do it for us... and our future together." Before the two women had leaned in close and closed their eyes, as they had locked lips in a true loving kiss; which revealed how they truly felt for each other.

After pulling away to breathe, Ahsoka smiled at her new secret girlfriend and stated. "Let's go home, Asajj."

Ventress smiled warmly as she now had a new reason to fight and live for. "Yes...let's Ahsoka. My lovely Togruta princess." She said before drawing her girlfriend into a passionate kiss that led to a heated make out session as Asajj pulled Ahsoka down to lay on the bed with her.
