A/N: Heya guys. Just a quick note, I apologise if this chapters format is a bit weird. I had to use my phone to post it as I have no Internet at the moment. Hope y'all enjoy the chapter!

She let go and immediately slammed on the emergency nurse button, causing mass confusion within the room, "I'm sorry guys, but you can't be in here at the moment," She said, ushering us all out with perfect timing, as a team of nurses entered as soon as we left. A long beep being sounded from the monitor confirmed her suspicions, "We have a code blue, not breathing," she said, putting two fingers on his neck again, "No pulse. Start chest compressions, NOW!" she said to one of the nurses as the door closed. We were forced to sit in waiting room with no idea as to what was happening. Or more importantly, if Liam was alive.

Today's Chapter of Hello! My Name Is...

Kate's POV

We'd been sitting in the waiting room of the hospital for easily an hour now as we waited for the doctor to come out and tell us what was happening. We didn't even know if Liam was alive. Needless to say everyone was very stressed out. Lilly and I were silent as Humphrey tried to comfort his crying sister. Our hope was dwindling as each minute passed, and everyone grew more and more anxious as time passed.

The waiting room grew more and more barren as time went on. The last person to arrive was what appeared to be the last night shift receptionist, who traded spots with the last day shift worker there. There had been no new arrivals nor departures since. We heard the doors open, recognising the person to be the doctor who had kicked us out earlier. Charlotte immediately stood up upon seeing her.

"Is he okay?" She said, voice cracking while trying to hold back tears as she spoke.

"Listen," the doctor said, sitting her back down and taking a seat herself, "Your friend is alive-"

"Can we see him?" Charlotte asked, interrupting her.

"Please, let me finish," She said to Charlotte calmly, to which Charlotte nodded in response as she wiped some tears away with her sleeve. The doctor let out a tired sigh as she started to speak, "He is alive, but we don't know if he is going to make it." I watched as a look of shock and fear grew on the faces the rest of the group, "His airway closed, and we don't really know why yet. I can only assume to be caused from the trauma of his injuries. He couldn't breathe which inevitably caused a heart attack. We managed to get his heart pumping and his airway open again, but his brain was left without oxygen for quite a fair bit of time..." the doctor said, sighing again and pressing her thumb and finger into the corners of her eyes, "What I'm getting at is that it caused his brain to swell. He had multiple seizures." Her words received a gasp from Lilly and I, and I could've sworn I saw tears on Humphrey's face. Ethan ran his hand through his hair, muttering some four letter words under his breath.

"He's on life-support," The doctor said slowly. Charlotte couldn't hold it back any more and began sobbing aggressively again, "I'm sorry. We've done everything we can do. All we can do is wait and hope he pulls through."

"Can we at least see him?" Ethan asked, holding her back before she walked off.

"I'm sorry, but we only allow family to visit during this time," She said, pointing to the clock to reveal it was well past nine at night, "I apologise, it's just hospital policy."

"Okay. I'll stay. I'm his brother," He said, turning to us afterwards, "You guys head on home. I'll call if anything happens." Charlotte tried to protest but Humphrey stopped her before she could say anything, turning to Lilly and I afterwards.

"Do you guys need a ride home?" He asked, to which we nodded. I don't really think either of us could nor wanted to say anything. Knowing Liam was on life-support was enough shock to stop me from being able to think of coherent sentences, and I can only imagine Lilly was in a similar, if not the same, situation. Humphrey then turned back to the doctor as he stood up. He looked like he was about to say something, but he hesitated and stopped himself from saying anything, just turning away and walking us out the door.

There were very few cars in the visitors parking area. It was incredibly barren. It was almost like Humphrey's and Ethan's cars were the only ones in the entire area. It just didn't feel normal at all, considering how packed it had been the past few days. Humphrey unlocked his car, allowing access to the rest of us as we opened the doors to the vehicle. The engine rumbled to life as we entered, moving out of the parking spot once all the doors were shut and Humphrey had made sure everyone's seatbelts were on.

As we made our way onto the main road, the sun quickly fell behind the mountains, and darkness was thrown upon the city of Jasper. Only the occasional lamp post and the headlights of Humphrey's car lit up the road. For a Friday night, it was rather quiet on the roads, only the odd car ever couple minutes passing us.

The car was eerily quiet too. The radio was playing, but only very faintly as the volume was very low. However, I doubt it would provide anything to try break the tension that was being felt by everyone in the car. Even Charlotte was incredibly quiet, which surprised me, considering how much she'd been crying during the visit today. Not a word was spoken between anyone in the car.

I looked out the window of the rear passenger door, watching the sky as the lamp posts flew by, lighting up my vision for a fraction of a second before the stars came to meet my retinas again. I looked back down, watching the buildings go past.

I could almost drown in the negative energy I was receiving from everyone in the car. Everyone seemed to have the same thing on their mind and you could feel it. Scanning everyone in the car proved my point further, everyone seeming to have similar facial expressions of discomfort, fear, and most of all pain. Usually, the look in Humphrey's eyes felt calming and comforting, but now, seeing them in the rear view mirror, they felt cold and lifeless. Looking into them caused me to feel like I was going to cry. I've never seen this side of Humphrey before. I doubt anyone has, aside from Charlotte.

It felt like an eternity sitting in the rear seat of that car before it came to a halt in my driveway. I almost felt relieved to be home, but I didn't want to leave. Seeing the look in Humphrey's eyes made me never want to leave his side again, but I knew I had to, for tonight at least.

"I think this is your destination, girls," Humphrey said, his voice sounding as dead as the look in his eyes. I exited the car and closed the door behind me, making my way to the drivers side window which happened to be rolled down. I leaned down and wrapped my arms around Humphrey's neck, and holding him as close to me as I could. He tried to return the gesture but clearly found it awkward, given the positioning of my body being perpendicular to him. I pulled back, only to kiss him on the cheek. I heard Lilly walk behind me and continue to the front door of the house, hearing it open and close.

"Thank you for the ride home Humphrey," I said, pulling him back into a hug. Charlotte just sat staring at the dashboard, holding her hands together and shaking anxiously, "Call me if you need to okay?" He didn't say anything, instead just nodding in response. I pulled my body out of his car and smiled at him, receiving back a very weak and emotionless one back. I moved back and watched from the top of the driveway as he put the car in reverse and pulled out onto the road. I waved him goodbye, and made my way inside the house.

Charlotte's POV

I was so lost in my own thoughts I hadn't even realised we had dropped off our two passengers. It wasn't until we were halfway back home before I was thrown back into reality. I looked to my left to see Humphrey watching the road.

"Humphrey?" I asked, drawing his attention as he perked his ears up slightly, "Do you think Liam is going to be okay?" I asked before I felt my eyes well up with tears and I lost it again, sobbing loudly.

"Charlotte, he is going to be okay. I guarantee it. If I know Liam, he's not gonna give up without a fight," Humphrey said, taking a hand off the steering wheel to grip my shoulder, attempting to comfort me.

"But he's on life support! How could he possibly have anything left?!" I almost screamed as we pulled into our driveway.

"Charlotte, you have to have hope. I know it seems like everything is just going get worse, but you can't give up on him," He said, shutting off the car, "Charlotte, look at me," He said, grabbing both of my shoulders and turning me towards him, "Don't give up on him yet. He WILL pull through this. Okay?"

I sniffed, weakly saying, "Okay," in response. He wiped my face off with his jacket sleeve, smiling to me as much as he could.

"Come on, let's head inside," He said, hopping out of the car, me following suit.

Time Skip – 1:26am

I woke up abruptly, having had another nightmare; the fourth one this week, to be exact. I sighed, as I wiped my teary-eyed face. I slid out of my bedsheets and out the door, looking to go downstairs and get a glass of water. I didn't want to go to Humphrey again, as when we were in the car, he looked far from the Humphrey I know and love. He looked more dead inside than I have been the past week, and I didn't want to burden him with my emotions again.

I managed to make my way downstairs and to the kitchen, using the flashlight on my phone as a guide. I grabbed a glass out and poured some cold water from a jug in the fridge into the glass. After having the drink, I made my way back upstairs, as I was very tired and I needed as much sleep as I could get. I passed by the bathroom, and as I was passing by Humphrey's room, I heard a muffled sniff. I paused, thinking it may have just been in his sleep. I pressed my ear against the door and held it there until I heard it again.

"I know I said not to give up hope on you Liam..." I heard him say, quietly, "But I don't know if I can keep hoping anymore," I heard him finish before starting to sob. I didn't even bother to knock as I opened the door and walked in, closing it behind me. He asked me if I was okay but I didn't respond. I just hopped onto his bed and brought him into a hug. He didn't say anything as he began crying into my shoulder.

"Humphrey, look at me," I said, bringing his head up from my shoulder, "Don't give up on him yet," I said softly, dropping his head back onto my shoulder. I had never seen Humphrey cry like this in my life. I don't think anyone has. I just held him in my arms, allowing him to release his emotions like he has allowed me to for the past week. After a few minutes I heard him start getting more and more quiet, and after inspection, he had fallen asleep. I decided to just stay in here for the night, pulling myself underneath the covers, wrapping my arms around Humphrey again, eventually falling into my own slumber.
