The next morning, at 5:50 AM, the soldiers were sleeping inside their barracks, and Sergeant Peppah was blowing the horn outside to wake everyone up. The soldiers inside their barracks all woke up rapidly at the sound of the horn, and jumped out of their beds.
"Rise and shine, soldiers!" Sergeant Peppah announced from outside. "Sleep time is over! Time for you men to prepare yourselves once again, because we have a big day to go through!"
So all the soldiers in each of their barracks washed up in the restrooms, got dressed, and stepped outside to meet up with Sergeant Peppah. The soldiers all lined up in a long row in front of the sergeant to face him.
Sergeant Peppah paced back and forth in front of the row for about fifteen seconds and finally stopped to face the soldiers.
"You men know why I brought you here, right?" he asked the soldiers. "You guys know what your job here is for today, right?"
The soldiers shrugged. "Obviously, we're gonna take out the soldiers working for the corrupt sergeant!" Vic finally blurted out.
"Precisely," Sergeant Peppah replied.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out several photos. There were photographs of Martinez inside the empire building of his in the lone island in the ocean, as well as several shots of the empire building itself. "See these photos?" Sergeant told the soldiers. "These are photographic evidence that Martinez is a corrupt sergeant who clandestinely makes profits out of the drug trade, something we soldiers are heavily against. So who wants to tell me what a true sergeant is about?"
The other soldiers just stared back at him looking rather stumped. Some of them shrugged, and few more just shook their heads in response.
"I'll tell you what being a true sergeant is about!" Sergeant Peppah continued. "A true sergeant takes his job seriously, strongly opposing anything to do with drugs or other illicit tasks. A true sergeant does most of the supervision and make sure they set a standard for their lower-ranked soldiers to live up to. We live to serve and protect, and that's why we fight for protection!"
"So what do we do now, Sergeant?!" Vic asked.
"Simple," Sergeant Peppah explained. "Martinez is sending his crew over here to break into the Fort Baxter Air Center, and he's on his way to collect his stash inside his office. So as brave soldiers, it's our job to take down our stubborn rivals and make sure none of them set foot inside this military base. We also have to keep our eyes peeled, because many of them can also be back via tanks, Hunters, and boats! Do you men read me?!"
"Sir, yes, sir!" the soldiers answered loudly.
"Are we gonna let these corrupt soldiers bring us down and taint the true army's rep?" Sergeant Peppah asked them.
"Sir, no, sir!" the soldiers answered.
"Then let's get out there and fight for our protection!" Sergeant Peppah announced.
"Sir, yes, sir!" the soldiers repeated.
The other soldiers cheered in agreement and dispersed around the military base. Some soldiers hopped onto towers and got their sniper rifles prepared. Others hopped inside tanks and even used some of them to barricade the entrance.
Meanwhile, Vic gripped tightly on his assault rifle, prepared to take on the army of soldiers about to ambush the military base. He felt a small bead of sweat trickled down from his forehead. He kept silent until the army of opposing soldiers actually arrived.
After twenty full seconds, Vic saw a couple of tanks approach the entrance and slowed to a stop. Martinez's soldiers had hopped out and opened fire at the soldiers guarding the entrance.
The war had finally begun, and Vic pulled out his assault rifle to fire back at the opposing soldiers. Bullets were firing everywhere and clanged onto the steel gates.
Vic dodged the bullets along with his partners and took cover behind the tanks barricading the entrance. He crept out from behind the vehicle and fired back at Martinez's soldiers.
After Vic and his other partners killed the first wave of soldiers, they saw that there were more of Martinez's soldiers arriving in Barracks OLs. The opposing soldiers all halted to a stop in front of the entrance and fired at Vic and the other soldiers using their assault rifles.
Vic and the other soldiers on his side wasted no time as they returned the fire to the opposing soldiers. The bullets clattered as they struck against the gates and vehicles. The opposing soldiers were shot down dead by Vic and his partners as they continued firing.
A third wave of Martinez's soldiers arrived in PCJ-600s, and the soldiers hopped out to fire at Sergeant Peppah's soldiers. The latter group just continued returning fire and gunned down each and every one of Martinez's soldiers.
Soon, there were no more soldiers left to ride to the military base's entrance, and Vic heard his walkie talkie static. He pulled it out to answer it.
"Say again, sir?!" Vic answered.
"Martinez's soldiers are arriving on speedboats!" Sergeant Peppah announced over the walkie talkie. "So this is what I want you to do... "
Sergeant Peppah was now flying a Hunter, with Vic sitting over the edge armed with an M249, over the ocean to check for Martinez's soldiers on speedboats. After ten seconds of hovering, Vic finally spotted a black speedboat that Martinez's soldiers were riding on. They fired at the Hunter, only for Vic to fire back at them and killing them after firing bullets in a couple of them and blowing up the speedboat.
Eventually, more speedboats were riding through the ocean, with the soldiers shooting at the Hunter and Vic returning the fire himself, killing the soldiers in each speedboat and blowing up the vehicles as each of them caught fire before the result. During this battle, the Hunter was flying around the ocean and above two bridges.
After shooting down five speedboats, Sergeant Peppah finally said, "Heads up, Vance! There's another Hunter coming our way!"
Vic looked up just in time to spot the Hunter coming his way and the soldiers firing at him.
"Blow that Hunter out of the sky, Vance!" Sergeant Peppah ordered vociferously.
So Vic wasted no time as he fired at the Hunter while avoiding the bullets the opposing soldiers fired at him. The soldiers exchanged fire as the two Hunters flew above the ocean.
After about a full minute, the Hunter that accommodated Martinez's soldiers caught fire and eventually exploded as Sergeant Peppah flew the Hunter he was in out of the way to avoid being caught in the resulting explosion.
"Nice work, Vance!" Sergeant Peppah congratulated Vic. "Now it's time to return to the Fort Baxter Air Base and end this war once and for all!"
So Sergeant Peppah piloted the Hunter back to the Fort Baxter Air Base and landed right on top of the helipad right by the gates.
By the time Vic and Sergeant Peppah got out, they ran into Phil, who was armed with a rocket launcher.
"Phil!" Vic greeted. "Right on time! What's up?!"
"I just heard that Martinez is on his way here in the Fort Baxter Air Base," Phil replied. "He's also sending two more Hunters to fly over here and destroy everyone inside so Martinez will get a chance to take the military base over and have his soldiers seize the place so he could have room for his drug trade here!"
"Not on our watch!" Sergeant Peppah. "We're gonna take down that son-of-a-bitch ourselves!"
Hold it, Sergeant!" Vic told him. "I got an idea! After I use that rocket launcher to blow down the Hunters on their way over here, we'll all hide around and have Martinez think we've all been killed. Then he walks through the military base, sneak inside his office, and we catch him in the act."
"Great idea, Vance!" Sergeant Peppah told him.
"I like that idea," Phil added handing Vic the rocket launcher.
"Now go over there and make sure both those Hunters are brought down!"
"Sir, yes, sir!" Vic replied in deference.
By the time Vic made it on the middle of the military base, he spotted the two Hunters just in time to hover over the area. Martinez's soldiers were firing from up above at Vic with their assault rifles, and Vic ran around to avoid the bullets.
He watched as the two Hunters flew around rapidly and the soldiers continuing to fire at him. Vic knew that he had to time it right in order to bring down the two Hunters hovering in the air.
So Vic aimed carefully and pulled the trigger. He watched as the missile shot out of the rocket launcher and hit one of the Hunters, causing it to lose momentum and blowing up as it crashed down the ground below. He repeated the process with the other Hunter in the sky and took it down as well, causing it to plummet down the ground and exploding as well.
The Fort Baxter Air Base was now silent, and Vic looked around to find that there was no one around to attack the place, much less anything in the military base destroyed in the slightest.
Vic then heard applause and turned around to find Sergeant Peppah, Phil, and the other soldiers clapping for him.
"Well done, Vance!" Sergeant Peppah announced. "You stopped Martinez's men from taking over our turf!"
"Hey," Vic replied modestly, "this is my passion since birth. I was born to be a soldier."
"Indeed, Vance!" Sergeant Peppah told him. "I should've never doubted you from the beginning! You would definitely be our high-ranking member someday!"
The other soldiers all cheered in agreement, and Phil came around to silence them. "Yep, you guys got a real dependable soldiers to have sticking around," he told them, "so now is the time to hide so Martinez can think every soldier out here is dead."
So everyone around the Fort Baxter Air Base hid out of view, and about thirty seconds later, Sergeant Martinez arrived through the entrance driving a Barracks OL. He looked around the military base to find that it was empty and laughed to himself.
"Looks like I'm now going to own this place after all," he stated smugly.
Martinez pulled up in front of his office and hopped out of his vehicle. He walked up to the door and entered the building, where he strolled down the hallway and made it into his office. Before he was able to open his drawer, he was interrupted by the words of Sergeant Peppah.
"Looking for something, Sergeant?" Sergeant Peppah asked Martinez, who turned to the front door by surprised.
"Peppah!" Martinez cried out in surprise. "I-I didn't expect you...to...uh... um... "
"Catching you inside here for the first time in weeks?" Sergeant Peppah asked.
"Listen, Sergeant Peppah," Martinez told him in a panicking tone of voice, "I can explain."
"There's no need to explain, Martinez," Sergeant Peppah told him, "because the photography will be doing all the explaining."
He then pulled out the photographs of Martinez inside his drug empire building with the other soldiers and taking the drugs himself in others, as well as the building itself.
Martinez then looked at Sergeant Peppah nervously, as he had just found out he's been exposed. "But how did... ?" Martinez began to ask.
"Hold that thought," Sergeant Peppah told him pulling out some videotapes and putting one of them inside a VCR right on the desk. He also turned on the television as he turned on the VCR. "This gets even better," he told Martinez.
The video played, and Martinez looked nervously as he saw himself in his office sniffing coke on the desk. He even called up a woman wearing a skimpy outfit to make out with him.
Sergeant Peppah then glared at Martinez. "Looks like you've been caught red-handed," he told the corrupt sergeant.
"But...but... " Martinez started to explain.
"There's nothing left for you to say, Mr. Martinez!" Sergeant Peppah told him angrily. "You have violated the regulations of our rep and had us punish an innocent soldier! You're out of here, sergeant! You're a disgrace!"
"But... " Martinez tried explaining.
"No buts!" Sergeant Peppah interrupted furiously. "You had your chance and you blew it! So turn in your uniform and all your badges and get up out of here!"
Vic and Phil were watching from the room, and Vic was smiling gleefully. He enjoyed watching Martinez get a taste of his own medicine for once and even more satisfied that Martinez was discharged from the military and stripped from his undeserved badges as well.
Payback's a bitch, ain't it Martinez? Vic thought smiling.
A few seconds later, Vic and Phil watched inconspicuously as Martinez walked out of the office and storming his way to the entrance.
Phil then stared at Vic. "Okay, Vic," Phil told him. "Now here's my chance to retaliate against this asshole."
So Vic watched as Phil walked up to the discharged sergeant. "Hey, Sergeant Martinez?" Phil told him as he tapped Martinez in the shoulder from behind.
Martinez turned around and could only have time to blink as Phil swung a right uppercut to the jaw so hard that he had Martinez falling back.
As Martinez fell onto the ground, Phil went to him and continued beating up the former sergeant.
"You like beating on woman, asshole?!" Phil cried angrily as he threw a few more combos onto Martinez.
Vic laughed as he enjoyed every second of Martinez getting beat up by Phil. It was even more satisfying than Martinez getting discharged.
By the time Phil had finished, Martinez was knocked out cold, beaten to a bloody pulp.
"That's for Louise, asshole!" Phil told the sergeant.
Vic watched proudly. He was glad that Louise had gotten justice after what Martinez did to her the other day.
Sergeant Peppah had rewarded Vic with badges for bravery, loyalty, heart, and determination. He was also ranked as a Corporal soldier for his hard work and giving about $1,895 for his hard work. It was the best feeling Vic has ever gotten. Not only did he get his career back, he also got Martinez kicked out for his trouble as well in reprisal for nearly costing him his own career, and he got to watch Phil beat the living hell out of the corrupt sergeant for beating and raping Louise. Vic was glad that Louise had a protective older brother who made sure anyone who abused her in anyway would pay for their crime. Vic, of course, still had to settle things against the Mendez brothers. So after talking to Phil and Sergeant Peppah, Vic drove out of the military base in one of the Barracks OL to see Diaz at his mansion.
