Marinette invited her friends to the Seine for a very special occasion: they were to start a band and their very first gig was to be on a boat. Or rather, Juleka's boat house. The reason? The music festival was today and they had to be prepared. Marinette accidentally bumped into Mylene while setting up the decorations. "Oops! Sorry Mylène. My bad!" She handed Rose a microphone. "I think this is yours, Rose."

Rose squealed with delight. "Thanks, Marinette! Do you realize? It's our very first concert! It's going to be awesome." She didn't realize the mike was on until the feedback rang in everyone's ears.

"What was that?!" Rudi shouted over the feedback.

"Oops! Sorry." She switched it off.

Alya noticed that Marinette was looking around, disappointed. "He's not here yet," she said.

"No worries girl. The gig hasn't started yet."

But that didn't calm Marinette down and she started rambling, "What if he doesn't know Juleka's address? Or he got the wrong day? Or he's lost? Could you check with Nino please? You know, of course, just... casually."

Alya called out to Nino, who was hanging the streamers, "Hey, Nino, did you hear from Adrien, by any chance?"

"He had something to do with his old man. He said he'll come right after."

"Captain Anarka speaking to ya'!" Juleka's mother, Anarka Couffaine, was a woman in her late 40s with red glasses, a pink undershirt, blue jeans and a coat and boots that looked like they belonged to a pirate. Which was probably why she was doing a "pirate accent". "So how's it comin' along me young pirates? Ready to celebrate the-" She paused and adjusted her glasses before walking over to Marinette and looking at the box she was carrying. "Whatcha up to, there, matey?"

"Uh, hello ma'am. I'm cleaning up for tonight! Your boat's gonna be clean as a whistle!"

Mrs. Couffaine laughed, "You're cleaning! We never pick up in this house! Didn't me daughter tell you? We like the lived-in look. We have no rules on The Liberty! Out of chaos comes creation! Messiness is life!"

Rudi leaned in to whisper to Juleka, "Clearly your mother's never heard of the term ship shape."

"I HEARD THAT!"

At the Agrest Mansion, Gabriel was watching his son play the piano. He was playing perfectly until he got one wrong note. "I've heard enough. Are you sure you're practicing, Adrien?"

Adrien said, "I'm just doing the same exercises over and over again. I think I could make better progress if I could just play with other musicians. After all, music's meant to be shared with other people, don't you think?"

"We Agrestes are soloists. We're no where group members. I suggest you rehearse your piece some more. You'll play it for me again later today."

"But father, you promised that I could attend my friends' concert," Adrien protested. Not that it really mattered.

"Not after that performance you've just given, which is probably due to their influence! You need to refocus, Adrien."

Sighing sadly, Adrien decided to tell Nino the bad news.

Nino heard his phone ring and answered it. "Yo, Adrien! Wassup dude?...Wow, what happened?...Whoa, that's real rough. Good luck dude, see you tomorrow!" Nino noticed Rudi's hands on the broom he was sweeping the floor with start to tighten to the point it started cracking. "Uh-oh! Rudi's having one of his fits!"

Quickly, Mylene made Rudi sit in a chair while Rose massaged his shoulders and said, "Easy, Rudi. Easy. Deep breaths."

"Here," Ivan handed him a glass of water.

Mrs. Couffaine watched the seen, bewildered. "What be his problem, lass?" she asked Juleka.

"Rudi hates Mr. Agreste," the girl explained. "Something about him being kept in his house like a trophy in a cabinet. We try to keep him under control or he might break something."

Mrs. Couffaine raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

"Are you calmed down now?" Rose asked.

Rudi sipped his water. "Yeah."

Marinette sighed sadly as she walked into the cabin and placed a metal hand making a "devil horns" sign on a panel next to the steering wheel. Alya put a hand on her shoulder. "Well it's not exactly the first time his dad's kept him from hanging out with us. Actually, I'd have been super surprised if he hadn't."

Mrs. Couffaine saw the hand and quickly snatched it off the panel. "Whoa, sailor! Never place a metal object next to a compass, ya hear lass?" She pointed to the compass which was spinning wildly. "Metal attracts the needle, just like a magnet, which is why you cant get them anywhere near each other."

Marinette took the hand and said, "I know how they feel. Maybe I'm just like this statue and Adrien's my compass. Maybe we're meant to stay away from each other forever."

Alya smiled and teased her, "I think its the other way around. He's the statue and your the compass that goes crazy whenever he gets close! There'll be other chances Marinette."

"That's what you said last time and the time before that."

Rose entered the cabin and saluted. "We're ready Captain! Uh... but Luka's missing."

Mrs. Couffaine turned to Marinette. "Marinette, right?"

"Yes, ma'am? I mean, Captain?"

"Since you're free from your cleaning duties, could you go and tell Luka that we're waiting for him to start rehearsals?"

"Of course. Uh, but who's Luka? And where is he?"

"Luka's my son, you'll find him in his cabin."

Marinette nodded and went below deck. Rudi said to Juleka, "I didn't know you had a brother."

"Of course I do! You just hadn't met him. He's transferring to our school."

Marinette went down to the cabin, which was more like a musician's studio. Posters of Jagged Stone and other aged rock stars hung on the wall, guitars were on a shelf and there was a drum kit in one corner. She jumped back in surprise to see a boy sitting in a meditative pose on the bed. This must have been Luka.

He was about a year older than Juleka. His hair was black with bluish green highlights and he wore a white shirt with a black Jagged Stone imprint and black jeans ripped at the knee, a brown leather bracelet, yellow and orange wristbands, and his fingernails were painted black. He also had a sky blue jacket with a navy blue hoodie underneath, as well as black high top converse with multi-colored splotches, a black ring with silver outlining on his left pointer finger and black gauges in his ears.

His eyes opened and Marinette saw they matched his highlights. She stammered, "Hey, my name's Ma-ma uh Mamamarinette! Your mom sent me down here. The groove...uh... the group's waiting for you."

Luka chuckled as he stood up from the bed. He spoke in a deep, soft voice, "Hello, Mamamarinette." He picked up a black and white guitar standing next to the bed. "Sorry. I tend to make more sense with this." He played a single chord. Marinette's heart jumped in response. "That's strange. It seems you have something like this in your heart." He continued to play.

As Marinette listened, her heartbeat suddenly felt like it was matching the rhythm of the guitar and she closed her eyes and smiled. When he was finished, she asked softly, "How did you do that?"

"Music is often simpler than words," Luka said as he twiddled with the guitar pick.

Marinette saw that it had a picture of Jagged Stone on it. "You like Jagged Stone's music?"

"He's my favorite singer," said Luka.

"Mine too!"

Luka handed it to her. "You can have it if you like. I've got plenty."

"Oh, thanks!"

"I think I'd better go join the... groove, you said?"

Marinette's face turned red. "Did I really say that? Oh, no."

Luka chuckled. "You're a funny girl, Marinette."

Back at the Agreste Mansion, Adrien was alone with Plagg, watching the news. Nadja Chamack was talking to Mayor Bourgeois, "For this year's National Music Festival, Paris's city hall has organized numerous free concerts featuring big stars in some pretty prestigious locales! We're joined by our honorable Mayor, Andre Bourgeois. If you will, please tell us about the line-up!"

"Well, XY will be performing at the Place de la Concord, Laura Nightingale at the Louvre, The Philharmonic Orchestra outside City Hall, and Mr. Jagged Stone at the Eiffel Tower! And let's not forget the many concerts and gigs given by the people of Paris across the city!"

"This is likely to be the most incredible music festival since the first one was held, right here in Paris, in 1982! I'm Nadja Chamack. Tune in here, to hear more tunes."

Adrien switched off the TV and stared down at the floor, downhearted. "Come on, now. Don't be so down in the dumps," said Plagg. "Look at the bright side. Now you can enjoy all of the concerts without leaving the comfort of your own room!"

"I just wanted to go to my friends' concert, Plagg!"

"Then why didn't you say so? As your friend, I'm going to give you a private concert you'll never forget! Ahem!" The little Kwami began to sing off-key. "Camembert! You're the cheese of my dreams! Camembert! You make life better than it seems!"

Adrien put a finger to the Kwami's lips and said, "Thanks Plagg. Best concert ever." He went over to his piano and began playing. Again.

Plagg sighed in disappointment.

The band, composing of Luka and Juleka on guitar, Rose on vocals and Ivan on drums checked their equipment while Nino, Mylene, Alya, Marinette and Rudi sat on boxes as the audience. Marinette was giving a loving look to Luka.

"You okay?" Alya asked.

"Mmm-hmm," Marinette said absent-mindedly.

Alya gave her a teasing smile. "I'm thinking 'Marinette the Compass' has found herself a new statue."

Marinette flipped out. "What? Luka? No way! You're being ridiculous! Pff! Sure he's cool and nice and everything... but there's only one statue that drives this compass crazy!"

Rudi chuckled. "That's the biggest load of bull poo since I left the farm."

"Shut it!"

Mrs. Couffaine hopped onto the stage. "Ho, ho, sailors! Let's give them a show! Whenever your ready, Luka!"

Mylene handed everyone earplugs. "You're going to need these, believe me."

"Why?" Rudi asked as he put them on. He got his answer when Luka shredded his guitar and sent out a sound wave so powerful, it knocked everyone out of their seats, sent tremors in the streets, shattered nearby windows and sent cars flying out of their parking spaces. Everyone was shocked by how loud it was. Rudi shouted, "I STILL HEARD IT EVEN WITH THESE EAR PLUGS ON! AM I SHOUTING?"

"WHAT?!" shouted Alya.

He wasn't the only one who heard it. Within seconds, the boat house was surrounded by police helicopters, boats, and cars. Officer Roger stepped out of his car and shouted in his bullhorn, "Mrs. Anarka, are you completely out of your mind? I'm reading 160 decibels! That's 10 times the sound of a jet engine! You just can't do this. You'll have to play something else!"

"WHAT DID HE SAY?" Rudi asked.

"WHAT?" Rose shouted.

Mrs. Couffaine was outraged. She shouted into her microphone, "It's the National Music Festival today Officer Roger! My crew's allowed to play whatever they want!"

"It's a music festival, not a noise festival. If you don't turn the volume down, I'll ban your concert altogether!"

Marinette gently tugged Luka and Juleka's mother's coat and said, "Uh, maybe we could turn the volume down a bit Captain? Then there'd be no more problem, right?"

"No, out of the question. I didn't name my galleon Liberty for nothing, you know! It's a matter of principle!" She shouted at Officer Roger, "Haven't you ever heard of freedom of speech, Roger? This is me home! I will do as I want!"

"Do you have a document stating you can moor your houseboat in this location?"

"The Seine belongs to everyone!"

"You are not allowed to moor here without a parking permit! Which means you can't play your concert here either." Roger started handing her tickets. "Not to mention this incredibly messy deck! Public visual disturbance you get a ticket! And this decoration it's too decorated! Another ticket!" Mrs. Couffaine snatched the tickets and tore them up. "You asked for it, one more ticket for making me use too many tickets, one more for your attitude, one because I can't sleep, one more because I'm seasick, one more because I say so-"

Rudi groaned. "This is going to take a while."

The circular window of Hawk Moth's lair opened and butterflies swarmed around him. "Ah, the suppression of a soul demanding liberty and freedom. A perfect target for my Akumas!" He grabbed one of the butterflies and turned it from white to purple before letting it go. "Fly away my little Akuma and evilize her!"

The Akuma flew toward the boathouse as the police left Mrs. Couffaine with more than fifty tickets. "I refuse to give in!" she shouted. Rudi saw the Akuma flying into the boat's cockpit's window toward the compass. "CATCH THAT AKUMA!" he shouted, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Oh, no!" Rose exclaimed.

Too late. It absorbed itself into the compass and Mrs. Couffaine's face went blank as a baritone voice spoke in her head, "Captain Hardrock, I am Hawk Moth. Is the establishment censoring your right to make as much noise as you'd like? From now on they won't hear anything but your music. I'm giving you an indestructible ship and you will use it to sale around Paris and blast your music out everywhere you go as loudly as you please. In return, you will bring me the greatest of all treasures, Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculous and Big-Head's Mask of Loki!"

"A treasure in return for freedom? Ho, ho, ho then I shall be your pirate Hawk Moth."

Rudi gulped as black smoke started to envelope her and the houseboat. "Uh...ABANDON SHIP!" He jumped overboard and swam away as the houseboat turned into a huge schooner. Mrs Couffaine changed, too. With her black coat, pants and boots, red undershirt, sword at her hip, wild fiery hair, sword at her hip and black bandana with a jolly roger on it, she looked like a pirate from the Golden Age of Pirates.

"Raise the mainsail me deck hands! Let's get swashbuckling around here." Captain Hardrock laughed a hearty laugh.

Luka and Juleka were horrified. "Mom?!" the former exclaimed.

"What's going on?" Juleka asked.

"Your mom has weighed anchor, me lad, I'm Captain Hardrock and today Paris's timbers are about to be shivered by my cannons. Westward ho, Liberty!" She grabbed onto the steering wheel and turned the ship around. "Next stop, Jagged Stone at the Eiffel Tower. Soon, there will only be one concert in Paris only one Music Festival. We will destroy all the others. Now, get to your instruments and rock those decibels!"

Luka and Juleka tried to stop her. "Mom please, you can't ruin the Music Festival," the former shouted.

"You can't force people to listen to your music!" Marinette said in agreement.

"No way we're playing like this!" Ivan protested.

Captain Hardrock growled at the kids. "Mutiny? On my ship? Liberty, seize these scallywags and throw them down into the hold!" Suddenly, the ship came alive and bound the kids in chains and tossed them below deck. The pirate woman pointed her sword forward. "Liberty, fire!" The ship's cannons fired at a bridge blocking the way. "Nothing and no one will stop Captain Hardrock from playing her music! Fire!"

The ship fired again, but these cannonballs were different. They latched themselves onto the Eiffel Tower and let out a loud screeching sound that made everyone cover their ears and scream in pain.

Adrien's eyes were glued to the TV when the update appeared on the news channel. "Paris is yet again under attack, a new villain is destroying all the music festival concerts one by one. Please take shelter as soon as possible!"

Adrien stoop up with determination. "I may be grounded Plagg, but they're playing my song."

Plagg sighed and his ears drooped. "Yeah, I know it by heart."

"Plagg, CLAWS OUT!" Plagg was sucked into Adrien's ring and in a flash of black, Adrien turned into Chat Noir before jumping out the window.

Below the deck of the Liberty, the kids struggled to get free. "Maybe Rudi had the right idea of jumping overboard," Ivan said as he tried to wriggle his way out. The ship rocked as the cannons continued to fire. Marinette looked for a way out but couldn't. Then she had an idea and nodded to her purse.

Seconds later, the chains holding her and Luka came undone. "Wow, how'd you do that?" Luka asked.

"Uhh...with your guitar pick!" Marinette held up the Jagged Stone guitar pick he gave her. Of course, what he didn't know was that Tikki picked the lock.

"You're amazing. A real magician Marinette," Luka said, impressed.

Marinette blushed. "You think so? Oh, it was nothing, uh, amazing, really?"

"Excuse me, but some of us are still chained up here, you know," Alya reminded them. Before they could free the others, they heard Captain Hardrock coming down. "She's coming back!"

"We'll come back, I promise," said Marinette as she and Luka ran into another room and locked themselves in. Not that it mattered as Captain Hardrock kicked down the door and saw Luka by an open window. "Marinette, quick! Run," he shouted.

"Seize him!" shouted Captain Hardrock. The chains wrapped around Luka and dragged him back into the brig. "She won't get very far," she said as she slammed the door.

What the pirate didn't know was that Marinette was hiding under the bed. "That was a close one," said Tikki.

"Tikki, I have to save my friends," said Marinette. "Tikk, SPOTS ON!" Tikki was sucked into the earrings and in a flash of red and black, Marinette turned into Ladybug.

Captain Hardrock looked through the telescope and saw XY's concert. "New target located. Aim at XY!" The cannons took aim at the stage. She was about to give the order to fire when she saw a black flash run by. "Huh? What was that?" She saw Chat Noir on top of a roof, winking at her. "Fire at Chat Noir!" The cannons fired, but Chat Noir hopped on them to make his way to the ship's deck. "Seize him!" Chains appeared out of nowhere and wrapped themselves around him only to be freed by Ladybug. "Seize them!"

The chains tried to wrap themselves around the two heroes but they blocked them with their weapons and the ones they couldn't, they dodged. They suddenly heard sirens and turned to see Officer Roger leading a patrol of police boats. "I command you to stop in the name of the law." In response, Captain Hardrock fired the cannons at the police, sending them flying out of the Seine. Ladybug used her yo-yo string as a net to catch them and bring them to shore. She helped them out and Officer Roger shook her hand. "Thank you Ladybug and Chat Noir."

"Stay undercover, we will take care of her," Ladybug said.

Captain Hardrock pointed her sword at the heroes. "Time for the treasure hunt!" But before she could fire the cannons, something rocked her ship. She turned and gasped when she saw a huge man-of-war baring down at her. It had black sails with a green jolly roger flag and guess who was at control of the wheel? "Avast," Big-Head called out. He was garbed in a blue pirate outfit and a black tricorn. "Liberty ho! Heave two, and prepare to be boarded!"

Captain Hardrock growled and pointed her sword at Big-Head's ship. "Fire!" The Liberty's cannons fired and rocked Big-Head's ship. Big-Head growled. "Fine." He lowered the jolly roger and replaced it with a plain red flag. "No quarter!"

Ladybug and Chat Noir watched from the shore. "No quarter?" Ladybug asked. "What does he mean?"

Chat Noir said with horror, "It means he's going to take no prisoners!"

Ladybug gasped. She waved her hands and called out, "Big-Head, stop! There are people on that ship!"

"What was that?" Big-Head shouted over the cannons firing.

"It's no use. He can't hear me!"

Big-Head then fired at the Liberty's mast, making it fall over like timber. Captain Hardrock let out a wail. "No! Me ship!"

"Har, har, har," Big-Head laughed like a pirate. "Now that's not what you call ship shape! Surrender the Akuma, wench!"

Captain Hardrock began to growl and tremble as black smoke enveloped her. "You cannot take away my freedom! I am the captain of the Liberty!" When the black smoke disappeared, Big-Head's jaw dropped at the horrible sight. The ship was now a flying vessel complete with six dragon's wings and on the front was Captain Hardrock's face who screamed, "I AM THE LIBERTY!" Cannons fired out of her mouth and split Big-Head's ship in two.

"Well, they do say the captain goes down with the ship," he said as he slowly began to sink. "But I ain't out yet!" He quickly began making improvements on the ship and in a matter of seconds, it looked something more futuristic. "I think it's time we bring this battle to the thirty-first century." The ship took off into the sky and fired lasers at the Liberty, which screamed in anger.

"Enough talk," Big-Head shouted. "Prepare to exchange broadsides!"

"Let's..."

Down on the ground, Ladybug and Chat Noir watched the pirate battle in the sky. "This is bad," said Ladybug. "If he destroys that ship, the passengers on board will be hurt or worse!"

"Then we've gotta find the Akuma before that happens," said Chat Noir. "If only we knew where it was."

Up in the sky, the pirates continued to battle and... proceeded to sing? What was going on here?

Shiver my timbers, shiver my soul
Yo ho, heave ho
There are men whose hearts are as black as coal
Yo ho, heave ho

Down below, the kids began to sing as if under a spell.

And they sailed their ship cross the ocean blue
A blood-thirsty captain and a cut-throat crew
It's as dark a tale as was ever told
Of the lust for treasure and the love of gold

The pirates continued to sing as they blasted each other's ships.

Shiver my timbers, shiver my sides
Yo oh heave ho
There are hungers as strong as the wind and tides
Yo oh heave ho

Luka suddenly began to sing along with Juleka.

And those buccaneers drowned their sins in rum
The devil himself would have to call them scum
Every man aboard would have killed his mate
For a bag of guineas or a piece of eight
A piece of eight
A piece of eight

"A five, six, seven, eight!" sang Rose and Mylene.

Nino and Ivan sang like tribesmen.

Hulla wacka ulla wacka something not right
Many wicked icky things gonna happen tonight
Hulla wacka ulla wacka sailor man beware

Rose and Mylene sang.

When de money in the ground dere's murder in de air
Murder in the air

"One more time now!" shouted Big-Head.

Soon everyone was singing.

Shiver my timbers, shiver my bones
Yo oh heave ho
There are secrets that sleep with old Davy Jones
Yo oh heave ho

Ladybug and Chat Noir managed to climb onto the side of the Liberty and were compelled to sing as well as they clambered on deck.

When the mainsail's set and the anchor's weighed
There's no turning back from any course that's laid

Big Head sang as well as he jumped from his ship and onto the deck.

And when greed and villainy sail the sea
You can bet your boots there'll be treachery
Treachery

The ship suddenly sprouted chains that were coiled to strike. Big-Head smirked as he reached for a bazooka from his pocket and pointed it directly at the deck.

Shiver my timbers, shiver my sails

"DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES!"

"STOP!"

BOOM!

The kids down below deck screamed as the rocket blasted through the ceiling and floor, just missing Luka's feet.

"Was that Ladybug?!" Ivan exclaimed.

Alya frowned in anger. "No. It's Big-Head."

The Liberty screamed in pain as Big-Head blasted her again only to be tackled by Ladybug. "I said stop!"

"What?" Big-Head asked, offended. "I was about to turn this ship into firewood!"

"There are people below deck! If you destroy the Liberty, everyone's going to fall out of the sky!"

Big-Head scoffed as he got back up. "Well, why didn't you say so? Ow!"

Chat Noir whacked him with his staff. "We did. But you were so busy blasting her that you couldn't hear us!"

The chains struck at the heroes like snakes, but Big-Head put on a turban and began to play on an oboe, charming them. "That worked," said Chat Noir, amazed.

"Wait here," said Ladybug as she jumped down the hole Big-Head made. The prisoners were all excited to see her, especially Alya. "Ladybug!"

Ladybug used her yo-yo to break the the chains. Luka ran up to her and took her hand. "Ladybug, is Marinette okay?" he asked, concerned.

"She's fine. She's the one who alerted me."

Luka smiled in relief. "That girl's extremely brave."

Ladybug blushed. No time to dwell on that, though. "LUCKY CHARM!" She twirled her yo-yo in the air and its magic created... "More chains? Some pliers would've come in handy. Don't worry guys, I'll find a way to get you out."

Juleka pleaded, "Please, Ladybug! Save my mom! I don't want her to get hurt!"

"Don't worry. I'll stop her before Big-Head blasts her to pieces."

Big-Head was still charming the chains with his oboe when Ladybug came back. "He's still doing it," she asked Chat Noir.

"Even I'm impressed," said the black cat hero.

Captain Hardrock growled. "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!" Using her will, the chains broke out of the oboe's spell and struck at it. Big-Head stared at the pieces for a moment before taking a stuffed parrot out of his pocket. "Alright, forget the broadsides! Prepare to exchange parrots!" He tossed the bird at Captain Hardrock's face, who caught it in her teeth. Suddenly, the bird's head fell off revealing a dynamite stick which exploded.

"AUGH!" More pieces of wood fell off the ship as she screamed. "ENOUGH," she roared with anger. "If you refuse to give me your Miraculous and the Mask of Loki, my next target will be Major Bourgeois and his land lubberin' Orchestra. Next stop City Hall."

The ship lurched as it turned toward the Mayor's residence. Ladybug looked down at the chain. "We've got a problem Chat Noir. I couldn't free the prisoners, and I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with this."

Big-Head suddenly snapped his fingers. "I do!"

"You do?" Chat Noir asked skeptically.

"A compass goes crazy when its in the presence of metal, like a magnet!" He pointed to the ship's wheel. "That's where the Akuma is!"

Ladybug was impressed and slightly disturbed that he was right. But as the heroes were about to rush to the compass, Captain Hardrock caused more chains to appear. "Aha, there y'are again, the time has come to send you to the bottom once and for all!" The heroes dodged the chains and Ladybug wrapped her own chain around the compass. The ship suddenly began to spin out of control and began to take a nose dive. "No! Get away from me compass!"

"Hurry, Chat Noir!" shouted Ladybug. "Before the ship crashes!"

"Right. CATACLYSM!" Chat Noir touched the compass, breaking it and releasing the Akuma.

"No more evil-doings for you, little Akuma. Time to be de-evilize!" She captured the Akuma and purifies it before releasing the white butterfly. "Gotcha! Bye bye, little butterfly." Then she tossed the chains into the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!" The chains exploded into a wave of black and red spots that undid all the damage and set the Liberty down into the Seine. Then the Liberty and Captain Hardrock turned back to normal.

Mrs. Couffaine blinked in confusion as she looked around. "What happened?"

"Oh not much, you just had a bout of... Seasickness," said Big-Head. Ladybug whacked him on the head.

Hawk Moth swore as the circular window began to close, "For the sake of Neptune, Captain Hardrock didn't manage to seize your Miraculous and the Mask of Loki. But one of these days Ladybug and Chat Noir and Big-Head, your treasure will be mine!"

Back at the Agreste Mansion, Adrien was playing the piano under his father's and Nathalie's supervision again. Suddenly he stopped and asked, "Would you like to play this piece with me father, as a duet?"

Gabriel widened his eyes. "I... I don't think-"

"Please father, if I'm not allowed to go to my friends concert, at least grant me this."

The older man sat down next to his son and the two of them began to play. It was a sad song that told of a lover and his son wanting the wife and mother they missed so much to come back. Nathalie almost shed a tear. When they were finished, Gabriel said, "You can go to your friends concert if that's what you really want."

Adrien was surprised, then he gave his father a hug. "Thank you, father."

At the Liberty, Officer Roger was inspecting the volume of sound from the kids' instruments. "It's still a bit loud by my standards and a couple decibels over the legal limit... But I'll let it slide on this occasion, after all it's the music festival."

"Thanks, Officer," said Mrs. Couffaine.

"Good day, ma'am," said Roger as he tipped his hat and left.

Everyone cheered that they were going to play. They cheered even louder when they saw who was walking onto the boat. "Hi, everyone!" called out Adrien.

"Watch where you're walking, the-" Marinette's warning came too late; Adrien tripped on a piano case and fell on his face.

Nino helped him up. "Adrien are you okay buddy?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." He looked at what he tripped. Curious, he opened the case and his eyes widened. "Whoa, an original ZX20.4! I love the sound of this instrument!"

Mrs. Couffaine said, "Aww, that old thing? No one knows how to play it."

"I know how to play it."

Luka thought it over and nodded. He went over to Adrien and took his hand. "Then in that case, welcome to the band, Adrien."

"Thank you...uh...what's your name?"

"Luka Couffaine. I'm Juleka's sister."

"Thanks you, Luka."

Alya leaned into Marinette's ear and whispered, "Is the compass going crazy?" Marinette only blushed.

Mrs. Couffaine put her arms around the two girls. "You know matey, sometimes disorder can be a good thing, if this keyboard hadn't been lying around, we wouldn't have gained us a keyboard player."

Rudi gave her a look. "Here's a new word for you, Mrs. Pirate. Moderation."

"I know. Too much disorder and things will fall apart. But no disorder, then there's no freedom! No imagination or creativity! Aye, moderation is the key."

Rudi turned to Rose. "By the way, what's the name of the band?"

Rose smiled. "We're calling ourselves Kitty Section."

Rudi chuckled a little. "What kind of name is that?"

"We were inspired by Chat Noir's costume," Juleka said, holding up colorful cat masks. "As well as the heroic deeds he and Ladybug do."

"Makes sense," said Rudi.

"Okay, everyone," Luka called out. "Let's get ready for the festival tonight."

Later that night, the boat had a huge audience surrounding it as the festival had begun. "Evening everyone, our name is Kitty Section," Rose said into the microphone. "One, two, three!" Then she begun to sing in a surprisingly deep voice, "I love unicorns, I love unicorns, and cute little fluffy cats!"

Everyone cheered and clapped while Rudi just watched Rose with wide eyes. "I never, in all my time knowing her, imagined her as a death metal vocalist."

"Things aren't always what they seem," said Alya with a humorous smile.

Marinette paid no heed and continued to stare lovingly at Adrien. Or was she staring at Luka?
