"So we can ask you anything? Even what it feels like to be an adult who sends children to die?" Norman asked Sister Krone in her room that night as he and Emma stayed near the door, Emma leaning against it. It was Normans idea that the ones on the other side of the door be Nat, Anna, Thoma and Lani.

Emma had told them to get the four disbelieving younger ones and let them listen in instead. And the group were definitely going to obey the girls orders before they obeyed Normans. As soon as they were given the signal they'd switch the four little ones out with Nat, Anna, Thoma and Lani who were waiting in their rooms. Just like Emma wanted them too.

"Yes you can ask me that too." Krone said and Emma held out one hand towards the woman.

"Your so called pocket watch? It's a tracker right? Can I see it?" Emma asked and Krone raised an eyebrow but nodded as she took out her pocket watch tracker and passed it over to the two kids.

"I'm surprised you knew you were being tracked." Krone said as the two looked at it, noting how it could only show dots and no names. Norman thought nothing of the six dots outside of the door as he observed it but Emma smirked just a little.

"Yeah Mom showed it to us once when one of the little ones was asleep and lost in the forest. We don't know where they are though or how to get them out." Norman said as he closed the watch before handing it back to Krone.

"They're in your left ear, right about here." Krone said as she pointed at the spot on her own ear. Norman didn't move a muscle or react at all, already knowing that it was there and the truth. Emma however recalled how they had screwed up and clued her in on knowing about the trackers and where they were last time and her hand shot to her ear to feel for it.

"Small and somewhere easily able to be removed so that the demons don't eat it." Emma said and she faintly heard as the kids behind the door switched out, but they were quiet about it so Norman and Krone didn't hear. It was only because of her enhanced sense of hearing and smell that Emma had known.

"How old are you?" Norman asked and Emma snorted slightly at the look on Krone's face, a brief twitch of annoyance.

"I'd normally say that it's rude to ask a woman her age…but I'm twenty six." Krone said making Norman nod slightly, so far that fit their theory of the demons taking over thirty years ago based on the books publication dates.

"Isabella is thirty one." Krone added without being asked and that made Norman look surprised while Emma merely nodded her head slowly.

"So that means that our estimated date on when the demons took over is wrong. If Mama's thirty one then the demons would have taken over when she was one and she probably wouldn't be in the farm system." Emma murmured to Norman who narrowed his eyes at that. Yes that was a good point. So then…that meant…

"How long has the farm system been around?" Emma asked Krone who blinked at that for a split second.

"From what I hear it's been around for hundreds of years, some of the demons said a thousand but I never really asked." Krone said and Norman tensed at that, so they were dealing with a system that was a thousand years old.

"That makes sense. There'd be no way for them to have everything set up so perfectly without any flaws in the design or system that can be exploited in only thirty years. Which means what we're dealing with is older than we expected." Emma was calm and cool about this however as she absorbed the information.

After another minute of Norman questioning Krone about some things he turned as if to leave, making the woman laugh.

"You were good Emma! You reacted perfectly to the knowledge of the tracker but you Norman. I'm almost ashamed. Most people when learning about trackers in their ears would reach up to feel for it like she did, but you didn't nor did you look surprised at all!" Krone said and Norman flinched at realizing that he screwed up.

Sister Krone let them go anyways and Norman quickly moved to the door but Emma stayed put.

"Emma?" Norman asked and Emma heard as the others on the other side of the door quickly scattered.

"I want to ask Sister Krone about some of what the girls go through…it's something private for girls only Norman so you go ahead. I'll be out in a minute or two." Emma said and Norman looked confused but nodded and left the room. Emma had asked Don and Gilda to make sure that Norman didn't stick around to spy on the meeting, Gilda offering to listen in since she was a girl as well just in case it was something embarrassing for a boy to hear.

"So what did you want to talk about? How to become a Sister or Mom?" Krone asked and Emma walked towards her.

"Not at all. I wanted to talk to you about the demons." Emma said calmly and Krone's eyes narrowed a bit.

"What about them?" Krone asked and Emma merely smiled pleasantly at her, a smile that sent a shiver down Krones spine because of how familiar it was.

"Did you know that you can kill them?" Emma asked and Krone nearly went ramrod straight at that.

"What?" Krone asked startled and confused.

"The eye in the middle of their heads. You can stab them in it and kill them, that's why most of the smarter ones wear masks that hide that eye from view. It's their core and most demons only have one, so if you destroy the core you kill most demons." Emma said and she stood directly in front of Krone now, smiling up at the larger woman pleasantly.

"Wha…how do you know this?" Krone asked staring at Emma wide eyed and making her smile.

Hearing the name of 'The One', as Krone called the demon god in the human language, fall from Emma's lips in perfect demon tongue had Krone paling rapidly.

"You know about him?" Krone asked in disbelief and Emma just kept smiling.

"He's taken an interest in me. It's kind of hard to keep a straight face most of the time when I have a pipsqueak sized demon god laughing his ass off where only I can hear him." Emma said casually…the look on Krone's face had said pipsqueak sized god laughing so hard Emma was vaguely worried he'd asphyxiate.

"Wha…how…who…" Krone was wide eyed and stunned, sinking to her knees in shock, as she stared at Emma.

"I'm just here to give you some friendly advice Sister. There is no way that you will outwit Mama. She will outwit you and in a few days you'll get a letter from HQ asking for you to report to the gate to become a Mom of plantation 4. You won't become a Mom. You will be killed by a demon and Grandma Sarah. I thought that if I told you about the demons weak spot I could give you a fighting chance to survive." Emma said and then she reached forward and cradled Krone's head in her hands.

"And when you see Grandma Sarah again before you're fighting for your life. I want you to give her a message from me." Emma said calmly and Krone was shivering. This girl. She definitely wasn't human.

"Tell her that I really don't appreciate her using me as blackmail against Mama. And make sure you tell her…that I know about being an experiment. It's hard not to when I can shatter rocks with my fists." Emma said and the small polite and calm smile on her face never wavered but her eyes were cold.

"You…you're so much like Isabella…you…you're going to become a Mom aren't you?" Krone asked shivering and looking terrified as she stared into the calm purple and red orbs.

"I wonder about that. After all I am an experiment." Emma said calmly and then gave her a slightly bigger but no less politely evil smile as she patted the older womans cheek and then turned towards the door while humming her mothers song.

"Just…who or what are you?!" Krone demanded as Emma got to the door and had her hand on the knob. Emma glanced over her shoulder, deliberately using her purple eye, and mimicked her mothers smile.

"I'm my mothers daughter." Emma said and she saw as Krones jaw dropped open and her eyes bugged out before Emma opened the door and stepped out.

"Have a nice night Sister Krone." Emma said politely as she closed the door and then nodded to Gilda who was looking at her curiously.

"We'll have a meeting about the pipsqueak demon later and how I'm an experiment in the library where I'll answer any questions you have. Let the other five know about what you heard before calling the meeting." Emma said and Gilda nodded once and fell in step to the right and slightly behind Emma when the girl walked past her to go to the room they shared with their siblings.

Looked like Emma was going to try and sleep in her own bed tonight, Gilda hoped she had a nice rest and good dreams instead of her nightmares.

Krone certainly didn't get any sleep that night.
