-Day 27: Office Lady-

"Done," Shizuko Kaga said tilting her glasses back into a straight position when she finished her work. She briefly looked through it to make sure everything was perfect before she emailed it to her boss.

After graduating college Shizuko got a job as an office lady. She wasn't quite sure what she wanted to with her life when she graduated high school or when she was in college. Nothing grabbed her attention so she decided to just have a simple job right now. She could always go back and study whatever catches her eye in the future.

She became an office lady. It was a job often chosen by women who had plans of getting married and not working for too long. However, marriage wasn't in her plans right now. Shizuko had never dated anyone in her life nor was she looking for anyone at the moment.

Her two best friends Sakura and Misaki had gotten married leaving her the last to get married but she was in no rush to do so. Misaki and Sakura were fortunate enough to marry the boys they liked in high school. It was set for them to marry Takumi and Kuuga.

For now, Shizuko didn't mind being an office lady. She didn't enjoy being an office lady nor did she hate it. Her life had a simple routine. Wake up, go to work, and return home. Occasionally she would check up on Misaki and Sakura to see how their life was going.

Sakura was about to have another baby soon so Shizuko stuck to just calling because of how Sakura had freaked her out last time she reacted delivering her daughter.

"Yo, old high school mate," Ikuto greeted Shizuko. She worked for the same manga company as he did. He had a habit of making his way to her work area because she was one of the few people in the company he felt comfortable around. It was strange because the woman kept scolding him for his loud antics but still he always visited.

Shizuko started to place her items in her bag. "Don't you have work to do?" She wondered how he had so much free time. Wasn't his department rushing to finish a manga? He shouldn't be slacking off.

"They're sending us home early for the day. Want to grab a drink? My friends keep abandoning me for their family," Ikuto sighed looking upwards. "Don't you just wish we could go back to high school days? Shizuko?" He called when looked down where she previously stood.

He turned to the right and saw her walking out the door.

"Seriously. When will this woman relax?"

A/N: Reminder Our lives will include all characters. Misaki and Takumi will have lots of moments in the future but for now, I need to show what the other characters are doing since high school. I've decided to ship Shizuko with Ikuto because why not? I don't want her to be alone but at the same time, this relationship will be slow because Shizuko is, well Shizuko.
