[Yes! This is a two parter! I just really wanted to describe the sleepover in more detail and give me more space for what can be a really funny, bonding chapter! Maybe add an idea in the reviews on what happens when they begin to start the sleepover! =) ]
The two boys were immensely suspicious of Jinx, who was practically jumping up and down elatedly and strangely wearing a fitted, denim skirt, a pale cami top with stylish purple ADIDAS trainers instead of her usual, flouncy costume. Her pink, slitted eyes continually slid back to the plain apartment door and to her sleek smartphone. Wally West was hungrily stuffing his face with some delicious salt and vinegar crisps, fortunately not ruining his expensive designer short-sleeved check shirt that was over a plain, white t-shirt and some stylishly ripped Tommy jeans. Elliot rolled his amber eyes, overall immensely preferring his warm, black, thin turtleneck sweater and tight, grey jeans with his soft, black hair still unbrushed and down. Elliot was still sleepy from his forced early morning and was leaning wearily into Kid Flash's side with his pale face pressed tiredly against his arm. Abruptly, Jinx's phone rang raucously and she beamed excitedly, picking it up instantly. Flash smiled curiously down at the scarcely awake boy slumping into him and received a dopey smile in return. Wally snickered amusedly and gently pulled him on his lap, so that he was curled up against him. Elliot took it immediately and tucked his legs to his skinny stomach and pressed his pale face in Wally's chest with loud, affectionate purs. Swiftly, he was soundly asleep and Flash was already sweetly wrapping his arms around him, as though to protect him from any possible peril. As Jinx was chattering excitedly, Flash listened to her unknown conversation anticipatedly.
"-so you can come now!,"she exclaimed enthusiastically.
There was an undistinguishable response and Jinx continued again,"Well, I know you won't be long, so I'll see you in a sec!"
Another minute of undecipherable chatter and then the long phone call cut rapidly. She beamed cheerfully, apparently completed unsurprised to see Wally noisily munching crisps with his uninjured arm and his other tightly securing a curled up, fast asleep Elliot Knight. Wally smirked amusedly down at the sleeping figure, as Elliot was purring wearily and Flash energetically ruffled his luxurious locks. Jinx rolled her pink eyes at the two boys, before gracefully leaping off the comfy armchair and elatedly to the plain door.
"What's the big deal, Jinx?,"he enquired curiousy.
"Star is coming around for a sleepover,"she replied excitedly, much to Wally's immense horror.
"Jinx! Why. Are. You. Inviting. Starfire. With. Ellie. Around? She'll ruin him, scar him for life! I still remember the taste of her pudding of sadness when the actors pretended to die in the Titanic! ALso, have you considered...the complications?,"he cried dramatically, continuing at her baffled expression,"He purrs, Jinx! Star adores cats and he basically is one!"
"Pfft. He'll be fine! Stop being dumb,"she snapped exasperatedly, raising her eyebrows as Wally prorectively tightened his sweet hold around him.
Suddenly, an eager knock sounded and Jinx sprinted keenly to open the door as Flash gently clamped his freckled hand over Elliot's mouth in an urge to attempt to cease his continual, loud purrs, even if he knew it'd make no particular difference. Jinx swung open the uninteresting door and smiled brightly as Starfire whizzed inside elatedly, dressed in her expected, revealing costume. She clapped delightedly and floated in front of Jinx, beaming affectionately.
"Friend Jinx! I am glad to see you are well and joyous,"she chirped estactically, before enthusiastically spinning around to face Wally and Elliot,"Hello friend Wally! Is Elliot feeling the okay?"
"Err- yeah, he's just a little tired,"Wally replied nervously.
Starfire opened her mouth to speak when she paused momentarily and then split into a blissful beam as she exclaimed cheerfully,"Do you have the pet cat now?"
"The ugh- umm, thing is-,"Flash began flusteredly.
"Star, Elliot purrs and hisses. He is basically a cat boi, always sleepy, moody and is such a tsundere that only likes being petted by Wally and still tries to be grumpy,"Jinx sniggered mockingly.
Wally groaned exasperatedly as Starfire beamed excitedly. He gently shook Elliot's shoulders until eventually his amber eyes flickered open and Elliot blinked warily, his heavy sleep purrs gradually dying out. However, Wally didn't have any time to warn him when Starfire swiftly ambushed him by trapping him much too tightly from behind in a bone-crushing embrace, resulting in him hissing startledly whilst being unfortunately winded.
"Friend Elliot, I did not know you shared the many mannerisms of the feline cat!,"Starfire chirruped excitedly.
"Who told you that?,"Elliot wheezed irritatedly.
"Ah, it was Jinx! She informed me you were the cat boy, who is the sleepy, moody and is a- I do not know what it means -tsundere that enjoys the petting from friend Wally and attempts to still be the grumpy!,"she replied obliviously, blissfully ignorant of the outraged scowl he was vexedly giving Jinx.
Starfire gently lowered him, immensely bewildered as the two other Titan's laughed hysterically. Elliot crossed his arms defiantly, greatly piqued by his own dear friends' irking mocking behind his back. Elliot glowered viciously at a snickering Jinx and took a deep, steadying breath as he cantankerously slipped next to Kid Flash on the comfy sofa, only to pout annoyedly as Flash smirked teasingly. Wally West affectionately wrapped an unharmed arm around Elliot's skinny waist as Flash snickered amusedly.
"Well. You know in anime, how the tsundere is always the really short one and you are a tsundere, don't deny it, El, and-,"Wally joshed roguishly grinning mischievously.
Elliot gawked horrifiedly and outragedly smothered a pale, cool hand over the gamesome speedster's mouth before he could continue. Jinx burst back into fitful giggles after only just composing herself, whilst Wally laughed underneath the flustered former villain's hand, unlike Starfire, who looked utterly lost. She flew uncertainly to the vehemently hissing Elliot Knight and gently patted his shoulder with insatiable curiosity. Elliot twisted around to face her apprehensively and watched warily, resolutely ignoring Flash now messing absentmindedly with his silky, black locks.
"Friends, what exactly does this tsundere mean?,"Starfire asked agogly.
"Usually a short person who tries to be cold and moody all the time but is actually pretty soft and huggy,"Jinx explained amusedly, sniggering mockingly.
Starfire momentarily scrutinised a humiliated Elliot Knight and stated bluntly,"Then the Elliot is the tsundere."
Elliot blushed profusely and pouted defeatedly, rolling away from Wally and the others stubbornly. Starfire shook her head dismissively and her once ruffled expression spread into delighted beam. Jinx smiled excitedly as well, as Flash grinned puckishly and dragged Elliot to the chattering others by the back of his warm, thin turtleneck sweater. However, Elliot teleported away before he reached him, disappearing from their view. Starfire gawked surprisedly before ushering Jinx elatedly into her own gothic bedroom, yammering brightly. After all, they had important tasks to immediately attend to.
Kid Flash hummed questioningly as he scanned the spacious apartment for Elliot Knight. The only real problem with Elliot's now incredible teleportation prowess was that he could simply teleport away with no actual effort required whatsoever. Flash had literally already scoured all the possible hiding spots, this specific time underneath his own sturdy double bed too of course, and was finally beginning to give up. Right now, he could be serenely strolling through the bustling streets of Gotham City, for all he knew. With a defeated sigh, Wally tentatively knocked on Jinx's plain bedroom door, awaiting curiously. He could easily decipher amused giggles, ecstatic chatter and the noisy sounds of messily repositioning furniture from inside of the homely bedroom. Eventually, the uninteresting door slid open. Wally raised his eyebrow as he saw Jinx's ransacked bedroom, especially her single soft mattress and comfortable duvet moved untidily across the hard floor. Both Starfire and Jinx beamed elatedly.
"You moving into the living room for the sleepover?,"Flash enquired knowingly.
"Yep! Why not join us?,"Jinx offered excitedly.
Starfire grinned delightedly,"Yes! Please do!"
"Sure. But I'm dragging Ellie with me, whether he likes it or not,"Wally said confidently, smirking roguishly.
Jinx shrugged unfazedly.
And with that, the three set to work.
Meanwhile, Elliot Knight was sitting alone in a small cafe with a piping hot coffee clasped in his pale hands, tucked away as far as possible from everyone else at five in the dreary afternoon. He easily heard the insolent murmurs as the impertinent staring and obnoxious pointing citizens whispered to their equally as agog companions with his sensitive, elvish ears. His thin, black turtleneck sweater was tight enough to slightly enhance his chest and his skinny, grey jeans were fairly well suited and fashionable actually. However, his long, black hair was unbrushed and dishevelled, though he didn't care anymore. To be perfectly honest, he didn't really understand what he was doing here, moping as lonesomely and moodily as ever. Truthfully, he was immensely miffed by the gloomy fact his own friends thought he was a tsundere. Of course he knew he was rather short- it was an unavoidable realization. Yet...He wasn't cantankerous and frosty with a gradually revealed affectionate side! He was...well, he was a tsundere, wasn't he? Elliot sighed defeatedly and non-committedly sipped his strong coffee, ignoring the boiling hot liquid scolding his numbed tongue.
"Mind if I sit here?"
Elliot instantly looked up tensely and then stuttered surprisedly,"Ugh- yeah?"
They sat down opposite him, regarding him curiously. Elliot immediately decided that the hard floor was a lot more interesting than it had ever been before, staring at it elusively. He had no idea why Robin was sitting with a former villain. Robin, or Dick Grayson, was clothed in ripped, black jeans, a plain green t-shirt with a grey puma hoodie wrapped securely around his skinny waist and some weak espresso in his strong hands. Without his black hair gelled into his trademark spikes or his monotone domino mask on, he was scarcely recognizable and Elliot could tell it was clearly intentional. Dick flashed a polite smile but only received a wary, mystified frown in return.
"What is it?,"Robin asked inquisitively.
"I just don't know why you're sitting...here. You know who I was. You know I was Kyd Wykkyd. So...I just don't know...why...,"Elliot admitted sheepishly, evasively staring at his half drained, disposable coffee cup.
"Well. I remember kicking your butt countless times. So I wouldn't be worried about being ambushed by you, Elliot. Still. Wally says a lot about you,"Dick replied mildly, though scowling sourly as he practically spat the memorable name 'Wally'.
Elliot glowered irritatedly at the offensive beginning of Robin's slightly piquing response but was generally surprised by his clear distasteful contempt for Kid Flash.
"First of all, do you hate Wally or something? Two, what do you mean he's said a lot about me?,"Elliot interrogated apprehensively.
"Well, I don't know how you can cope with Wally's constant annoyingness but somehow, you do. But yeah, Wally drones on about you a lot,"Robin sighed exasperatedly.
"Wait- Tell me exactly what he's said!,"he demanded panickedly.
Dick smirked amusedly and elaborated honestly,"He says you're funny, kind and his best friend. He always goes on about you being all cute and protective ever since he's got hurt, and how you make sure he's never lonely or anything. He's all good and positive about you, though I kinda think you are always a bit...hissy."
"Hissy?,"Elliot hissed annoyedly, only to stiffen embarrassedly at his own recent stupidity.
"Exactly,"he sniggered smugly,"Anyway. How come you're here?"
"...needed space,"Elliot answered elusively.
Robin gave him an intrigued expression and immediately Elliot snapped defensively,"What about you?"
"Well, sometimes it's nice to just go unnoticed and hide in the crowd. The Titans are driving me mad so I needed space too, I guess,"Dick replied casually with a small shrug.
Abruptly, Elliot's recent phone rang raucously and he nimbly slipped it from his confined jeans pocket into his pale hands. The instant he realised who exactly was calling him, he accepted it enthusiastically.
"Hey Wally,"Elliot said cheerfully.
"Ay up, El! Can you come back? Pretty please?,"Wally West requested energetically.
"Okay, sure, well I'll be a sec, I just need to pay for this coffee,"Elliot assured, hanging up after they exchanged their small goodbyes.
Elliot Knight pocketed it again swiftly and looked up at Dick Grayson with an awkward frown. Elliot sheepishly stood up and waved uneasily at a smirking Robin and in his unnerved haste, darted out, only for his foot to swiftly tangle with the metallic chair leg. He tumbled clumsily to the hard floor, hissing painedly as the chair swiftly fell on top of him afterwards, his piping hot coffee spilling over the once mediocrely cleaned floor. Of course this would happen to him. Before he could even react, Robin courteously lifted away the uncomfortable chair off of him, smirking amusedly at the poor former villain. Elliot indignantly picked himself up, blushing embarrassedly and harrumphed humiliatedly. He was ready to teleport away when Robin forebearingly slipped his worn wallet in his pale hands. Elliot's whole face was a deep beet red now as he was finally fully collected himself. Soon, he vanished from the small cafe.
When he miraculously appeared in the spacious apartment, his eyebrows immediately shot up. The main light had been switched off with the curtain tidily drawn shut and the only available leeway of proper sight came from the colourful fairy lights draped all over the homely living room. The large, flat-screen television was playing much too cheerful, generic pop music with the efficient volume annoyingly all the way up. The comfortable sofa and armchair had been moved sloppily to the furthest corners of the homely room, whilst a large coffee table which was covered in fizzy soda cans, countless sweets, fresh, cool ice cream, varying crisps and delicious chocolate, pushed carefully against the plain wall. The hard floor was covered with three mattresses, one a double and the others singles. Wally, in his fashionable, branded pyjamas, was comfortably sprawled on the double mattress, beaming up at his dear best friend whilst carelessly chewing on some flamboyant haribos. Jinx, dressed in her long-sleeved, long-bottomed, black sleepwear, was relaxedly sat cross-legged with an icy Pepsi Max in her pale hands. Starfire was laying on the other single mattress in fluffy pink pyjamas, flicking through a sweet Tamaran book on her muscled stomach. Elliot frowned confusedly, as they all beamed elatedly at him.
"El! About time! Get in your pjs, we're going to play spin the bottle and truth or dare!"Wally declared teasingly.
Reluctantly, Elliot teleported away nervously to rapidly change and dutifully complete the nightly necessities. Eventually, he appeared back with his embarrassing Spiderman pyjamas on and was frowning nervously. After all, he didn't know what to expect from this sleepover!
