Ayame came by a few days ago and helped cheer Yuki up, even Kyo seemed in a better mood after Shigure's words. Minami couldn't help but frown as the last day of school approached. Shiraki-sensei sat down on her desk. "It doesn't matter even if you don't become 'mature' adults, all that matters is that you take responsibility for your actions…. Mm, however it is easier said than done… therefore, as a teacher that is all I can say… That's it! Everyone enjoy your holidays!"

The entire classroom cheered as they expressed their happiness of being free from school. Minami held a small, tight smile on her face. The Summer Arc was already here, she thought to herself and wondered if she would finally see Akito. The usual trio with the addition of Hatsuharu and Momiji headed off to a Haunted House. Minami held onto Momiji's hand the entire time as Hatsuharu came forward.

'... If you're really that scared, I can try to help you…" Hatsuharu said just as Minami and Momiji screamed as another fake ghost jumped out and scared them. Hatsuharu placed a hand on Minami's back and she looked up at him. "For example, this person… he respects other people, is an animal lover, and a wonderful young family man who loves his family… Despite his hideous features… he even does charity words on Sundays…. His neighbors praise him all the time and say that he is the perfect husband, but he had fatal flaw…"

"Hah… is that so?" Momiji asked as they stared up at the tall fake ghost that had arrows on his body and dried blood on his face. Hatsuharu moved beside the fake ghost.

".. He was haunted by a dark and terrible past…" Hatsuharu continued with the same blank tone in his voice. "When he was ten years old, his mother left him…"

"HA?!" Momiji yelled in surprise and Minami just stared at Hatsuharu.

'Where does he make up these stories?' Minami asked herself and relaxed more, not feeling as afraid as before.

"... On a dark and windy night, his mother placed a sweater that she had knitted around his shoulders. Those warm hands… that warm voice… those beautiful eyes that brimmed with tears… and that was how he remembered his mother…. The next morning, his mother was gone, leaving him with hs drunken father, a load of debts and a sweater… But he knew the tears his mother had shed last night meant she had her reasons, and he did not hate her. Then for his bastard father…. And to pay back the debts he worked… always holding the sweater that smelled of his mother. He dreamed… that he could one day see his mother again…"

"..." They were silent and Kyo and Yuki walked closer towards them.

"His mother, came here today to meet him…"

"HA?!" Momiji yelled in surprise.

"What are you guys doing?" Kyo asked.

"That day when his mother left him she had her own problems. But now having deeply regretted her actions… it would be best to leave the rest up to her…" Hatsuharu grabbed the head of a fake monster that looked like a woman and placed it near the fake ghost. He had broken one of the attractions. "A very touching acne."

"DON'T GO AROUND DESTROYING STUFF!" Kyo yelled and grabbed Hatsuharu by his collar.

"That's wonderful.." Momiji said with a happy smile on his face.

"Yes that's great, that's great." Hatsuharu said, not even bothered by Kyo as he continued to yell at them. They were caught by the manager and Hatsuharu managed to make the man cry because of the story and they were left off without having to pay for the damage. They ate some roasted sweet potatoes and Yuki went off to officially join the Student Council, though he came back with tired but happy expression on his face.

The next day Minami and Hana, with the addition of Megumi, Hana's younger brother who went to the same school as Hiro. They went to the restaurant that Uo worked at.

"Welcome…" Uo said, she was wearing a cute black mini skirt, a light brown short sleeved shirt and an apron tied behind her back in a bowl. Her hair was pulled up in a ponytail and she pulled her bangs back. You almost couldn't recognize her. "Ah!"

"Hey Uo." Minami said with a smile with Hana right beside her.

"What, I'm busy as can be and the two of you are carefreely enjoying a date." Uo said and turned around and whispered. "Oh.. so it's you two eh…" At that moment Megumi showed himself and Uo smiled. "Ah! Megumi! Long time no see!"

"Long time no sea." Megumi said.

"He's our bodyguard." Minami said with a smile and Megumi shook his head.

"My main reason for being here is to see Arisa-san in a rare mini-skirt… It suits you.." Megumi said with a blank look on his face. Uo bent down to his height.

"You really don't look like a middle school student!" Uo said. "You are too mature!" She then lead them to a table.

"I'm surprised that you mentioned me working two jobs when you work at a care in the afternoon and convenience store in the night." Minami said as she ate a parfait.

"Well you didn't need that much money anyway!" Uo said. "You've got to do the chores in that big house, and then there's three grown men to look after, right?! If you take on another job, you'll die of fatigue! It's an absolute no!"

"But I don't even pay rent…" Minami muttered with a smile on her face. It was nice to be away from the Sohmas' every so often.

"Absolutely not.." Hana said.

"Ah.. speaking of which, didn't I mention I met a guy while at my workplace who resemble Tohru…?" Uo said.

"Which workplace…?" Minami asked, though she already knew.

"Huh? The convenience store, of course!" Uo said.

"The store supervisor…?" Megumi asked.

"NOT HIM." Uo said and Minami let out a laugh. "I've said so many times, he doesn't really act like Tohru, but he does remind me of her abruptness! And I haven't seen him since then…. But…" She looked off towards the distance. "If it's possible… I hope to see him again…"

Minami smiled at her expression. "Love." She teased and Uo blushed slightly.

"Maybe I should get an older man to." Hana said and Uo and Minami gave her an embarrassed look. "It seems like that's our type."

"Uotani." One of the workers called. "How long do you intend to chat for?!"

"I'm coming!" Uo yelled.

"Uo are you free this evening?" Minami asked her.

"Huh? Yeah." Uo said with a nod.

"The four of us can have dinner together." Minami said.

"LET'S HAVE A GREAT FEAST-!" Uo screamed and they clapped their hands.

"UOTANI!" The other worker said and Uo said goodbye. Minami waved goodbye to Hana and Megumi and spent some time window shopping and trying out different foods. By the time she had finished everything, it was time to meet her… friends. Minami smiled and headed off to their meeting place.

Uo explained that she ended up meeting Kureno again as they began to eat. "So, Arisa-san, did you end up liking him as well…?" Megumi asked.

"I DON'T KNOW!" Uo yelled. "Because he's very mysterious, there're many parts of him I don't understand. Basically, why did he leave without a word?! Was the smell of the sweet potato juice too strong?!"

"I'm sure he has a lot on his mind." Minami said with a smile. "Don't be so ready to date."

"Hmm…" Uo said and looked over at her, so did Hana and Megumi.

"Hn? What?" Minami asked confused, not liking the tension on her.

"What are you talking about! Minami will become someone's girlfriend soon! When that happens, your boyfriend will selfishly take up all your time, that's for sure! But I won't let him get his way, let's wreck their first date, Hanajima!"

"It's a deal…" Hana said and Minami blushed in embarrassment.

"I'm not going to tell you when we have our first date then!" Minami said to them.

"So you already have a boyfriend but you just haven't gone on a date." Hana said.

"Wha- No- No I don't." Minami said.

"I bet you already had your first kiss with that older guy." Uo said and Minami blushed and the entire group paused.

"She's been kissed." Megumi said with a blank look. "By someone else!"

"Wh-" Minami said. "No! No I haven't!"
