I was asked what types of kisses I think the GoM like to give and thought it was relevant to this chapter ( ̄▼ ̄)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°):
Kuroko - forehead and nose pecks, if you're around the same height then I can see him touching foreheads with yours often, our dear, wholesome boi is indeed a gentleman
Aomine - the type of kiss that no couple should be doing in public and makes you want to beat him afterwards
Kise - he likes cuddling more but it'll likely be light kisses on the lips and Eskimo kisses
Midorima - don't ask this smol bean to kiss you especially in public because he won't and might leave you behind, more of a hand holder or one arm hug person if he's in the mood. Now, if really forced to, he'll peck you on the temple (and panic because he was aiming for your hair)
Murasakibara - probably candy kisses and many indirect kisses cuz if he's dating you, he probably likes you enough to share some food with you
Akashi - forehead kisses but when in the mood it'll be long kisses on the lips that leave you breathless (but you can't beat him cuz he's Akashi so you just turn red and he teases you), also really likes interlocking fingers and kissing the back of your hand
Momoi - this gurl is amazing at the art of sneak attacks, her favorite is surprise kisses on the cheek~
Rather than making her turn away from him, Akashi's unusual behavior the previous night plagued Himeragi's dreams. Unrelated events continued to flash in her mind and the biggest mystery of all was what Akashi said before he ran away from her, marking the last time she saw him. She couldn't even recall where they were. After being left in her room to wait for the driver to pick her up and drive her home, Himeragi thought about her fragmented memories. She couldn't recall why she woke up in a hospital and her parents didn't tell her the reason, using the first few months after she woke up to move her to New York.
"If you stand under this tree and wait, he will surely come find you. But this is our little secret, okay?" When she came out of her room without attending maids, Himeragi instinctively knew to head down the hallway, down the stairs and take the door in the middle that would lead to the other backyard. She also knew that the third room on the left side of the corridor, the room with the largest window, was Akashi's. As she thought it was strange that she was retracing steps in the Akashi manor that she should have never been to before, she recalled that the large tree in the vast backyard, was one with beautiful, white flowering dogwoods.
"Azusa! Here you go!" The words of a happy young boy filled her head, as she went down the stairs to the tree outside. They were fleeting but she recalled a memory in which she stood right under this tree and received flowers from a boy and his mother. Akashi, who was working on documents in his room saw her black hair, before watching her touch the tree bark. She looked just like she did eight years ago, still smiling to herself as she looked at the white flowers blowing in the wind.
"If I had the choice, I would have wished that you didn't come here." He recalled her crying face when his mother was rushed to surgery, how she cried for and with him because she cared so much about his family and how he made her cry at the funeral. But he didn't want her to cry, especially not for him. Deciding that it was best that she leave as soon as possible, Akashi quickly exited his room.
"Azusa-sama?" Only Jii-ya ever called her that and she didn't recognize the chauffeur standing who accosted her. Just as she stood her ground and kept her guard up, he continued smiling at her, clearly knowing who she was. "It's been six years since I last saw you! How are you?" If it was six years ago, then she was nine years old, in the fourth grade. Not recalling that year or the year before, besides the fact that she was in New York, Himeragi stood there in shock. Did she have something to do with Akashi's childhood trauma? Before she could answer, she felt the presence of someone she recognized.
"What is going on here?" Akashi's tone cut through the flowery air of his butler quickly, before Himeragi's headache intensified. His voice must have triggered even more of her memories to unravel, as now she could make out the umbrella and flowing white dress of the motherly figure she saw earlier. When she looked into Akashi's red iris, the connection was even clearer. She was seeing the fleeting image of his mother, who shared the same eye and hair color as him.
"I wish that we never met." The younger Akashi said these words to her, after staying completely silent at the funeral. After his father didn't even look at him, Seijūrō saw Azusa, who he didn't want to see. She could show the emotions that he couldn't show for his mother because his father wouldn't comfort him and her crying face worsened his mood.
"Do you really wish we never met?"
"What can you do for me? My mother passed away. My one respite has disappeared."
"I'm sorry, Akashi-kun…"
"What will you apologizing do when it's all too late?" The look in his eye changed. He stared her down with a cruel gaze that made her feel like nothing in front of him. "When you can only remind me of happy times that no longer exist, what can being around you do? Do you think you can save me from myself? Make me think that I am deserving of love?"
"Why do you believe you shouldn't be loved?!" she yelled, as his irritation deepenened. He didn't want to hear any questions.
"How can you be so insensitive? Who do you think you are to yell at me, on a day like this?" Akashi knew that they were harsh words and that he vented his anger on her. But because Himeragi would take it, he unleashed them and cut off their friendship before he put her through any more emotional distress. He ran away, not wanting to see her tears or cry with her.
She couldn't remember the following days but knew she didn't see Akashi after that.
"I'm sorry… Shiori-san," she said clenching her fist, feeling saddened just recalling the woman she could no longer see and failed to uphold her promise to. Akashi and his butler's eyes widened, realizing her memories were returning at that exact moment. Her mind finally lifted the memories pertaining to her fall when Himeragi looked at the grass they were stepping on. She recalled seeing her own blood and feeling helpless, unable to call for help. The cold breeze was freezing. "Blood…" Without thinking about their strained relationship, Akashi immediately broke Himeragi's fall and held her in his arms, looking at her in alarm. He didn't know that she wasn't completely unconscious after her fall. "I don't regret meeting you, whether it be now or before. But I'm so sorry that I left your side and yelled at you on the day of the funeral." When he held her in his arms and gazed at her glassy eyes, an emotion he couldn't describe emerged up inside of him. As his attendant asked him for orders, her tears and guilt intensified. "Do you regret meeting me?" she asked, as he bit his lip, unable to answer. The servant could tell that Akashi was hesitating, trying his hardest not to say anything that would betray the boundary he set between the two of them.
"Drive to the Himeragi household." Akashi commanded, as his butler immediately made preparations to do so, as Akashi carried Himeragi to the car, not glancing at her once. When she was still slightly conscious and could feel his presence close to her, Himeragi reached to tug at his sleeve.
"I'm sorry, Akashi-kun." she said, as his butler also glanced at her. Although he expected his acerbic words to have had the most impact on her, Akashi didn't know how to reply. Bokushi was the one that hurt her that day and kept the memories that Oreshi experienced with Himeragi with his existence. He wasn't the kind Oreshi that Himeragi liked to play with. Bokushi hadn't changed and still believed that saying harsh words to her to have her leave him was the right choice. But right now, while she was shivering, having flashbacks to his words and her fall, he couldn't leave her alone.
"Azusa-chan?!" It was predicated but when her mother was informed of her daughter's condition, she panicked. It was shocking to see Seijūrō being the one that was tending to her when she had been informed that his friendship with Azusa was strained recently.
"Seijūrō-kun… Please come in. Let's chat for a bit, alright?" her smile showed pain and regret and he could surmise what Himeragi's mother was sorry about. But for some reason, he obliged, wanting to at least see to it that Azusa was laid down. Once Rina closed the door to Azusa's room, they walked down to the living room. "You likely don't need or want an explanation for our whereabouts the last few years. But I always wondered how Azusa-chan found her way back to your side, despite our efforts to never jog her memory." He didn't have a response as his own logical mind was feeling slightly fatigued, just thinking about Himeragi's wretched expression when she remembered his mother's name.
"I helped her as a classmate and clubmate, nothing more." He rationalized, as Rina smiled.
"But in name, you are also her fiancé. So isn't it right to believe you fulfilled your role as her fiancé?" Seijūrō couldn't admit to his engagement with Azusa and according to Rina, that hesitation was proof of his concern for Azusa, who he didn't want to fall into his father's plans. Without voicing out his intentions or even understanding his own reasons, Seijūrō was unconsciously trying to protect Azusa by pushing her away from his ruthless father and his own destructive plans to follow his father's orders.
"This engagement is nothing more than for business reasons. I am sure my father emphasized that these formalities would be over in a year, Rina-san." She nodded but just like her daughter, she liked reading into people's actions, trying to surmise their true intentions. Just like her daughter, she had an affinity for attracting people that were dishonest with their true selves.
"But you don't think of this engagement in the same way as your father. You are acting cold to Azusa-chan but in a heartbeat, you would be by her side if she is hurt. You refuse to disclose your status as her fiancé because you don't trust yourself with her safety. Whether it be in the past or now, you also haven't changed, Seijūrō-kun." She was truly Azusa's mother; when she voiced her thoughts on his behavior and labeled him "kind" just like her daughter did when he tried to intimidate her, he felt uncomfortable.
"I am not as kind as the image you or your daughter paint."
"Oh don't worry about that. Azusa-chan makes sure to point out that you can be a bully too." He felt himself smirking. Somehow, Azusa's words had the power to make him forget his worries and slightly smile, even if they were words insulting him.
"I cannot look out for your daughter's well-being right now. I would much rather she does not concern herself with me because our ideologies are inherently different but she is persistent."
"He can't hide the hope he has in wanting to be with her, after all." Azusa's mother caught on to his usage of "right now" and figured the next few months were going to be a series of psychological battles between the two.
"If she grew fond of you even when your ideologies were inherently different, then you will likely not be able to shake her off so easily." When she saw Akashi's eyebrows soften, Rina knew that her daughter already secured an opening to his heart. "But I have a feeling that you two are much more alike than either of you think. Although Azusa-chan is very, very dense." Rina was well-aware that her daughter didn't know what love was and never attempted to figure it out, even with six handsome boys surrounding her every day. But even taking that into account, she knew Akashi was the best partner. From the manner they express themselves to their true beliefs, Rina had confidence that they were a fitting pair. But neither were at the point where they could properly carry out the engagement.
"For a strong-willed girl, she cries more often than expected." Azusa's mother chuckled; the fact that he was even thinking back to those moments showed that he cared about her.
"Oh my, perhaps Azusa-chan only cries in front of you, Seijūrō-kun. Her father and brother would not be happy to hear that, let alone that she cried." she said, as Seijūrō knew it was best that they kept it a secret between the two of them. "Before my husband and son arrive home, please spend some time with Azusa-chan. If you've already come here knowing you shouldn't have, why not give into your true feelings, even if it's just for now?" Even though he was content with simply leaving, her mother insisted he see Azusa one last time, knowing that he'd distance himself, at the start of the new year. He also wouldn't be able to see her, with her other family members giving her explanations and wanting to spend the holidays with her. When she saw Seijūrō pondering, Rina decided to divulge something to him, as her apology for choosing her daughter's happiness over his own. It may have been too early to say it on behalf of her daughter but if they were going to go through drama soon, why not make it clear, her daughter's intentions for wanting to be by his side? " 'There's this individual that is always thinking and looking far beyond our everyday lives. Someday, I want to see the scenery he sees and flood his vision with beautiful flowers.' I hope someday, you two can see the flowers together, Seijūrō-kun." He wanted to reply but he couldn't allow his emotions to undo anymore than they already have, in front of Azusa's mother. When he saw Himeragi again, she wasn't in pain and was fast asleep.
"In the past and now, I can only return your kindness by making you cry." Both Akashis said. She was the dangerous Promoted Rook that made them unable to fully obey his father and being unable to fully choose her either, made him feel guilty. They didn't want her to understand the fragility of his mind because whenever she was near him, she risked being hurt by his acerbic words.
"Akashi-kun…" When she drowsily woke up, Azusa could feel his presence by her side. He turned away quickly, making sure the light peeking through her curtains didn't give away his conflicted expression. Just as he felt nervous about what she would say, she was thinking about how to process everything. "If I make a request, will you listen?"
"I will not." Himeragi wouldn't take that as an answer, not this time. Akashi was the one that came to her and she was going to latch on.
"Will you listen to my request?"
"What are you—"
"Take care of me!" He didn't expect her to show vulnerability with him and was surprised when she rushed out of bed to grab onto his sweater. In response to his cold demeanor, Himeragi wanted to demand something he shouldn't be capable of. She didn't care for how he viewed her anymore because if he hated her since six years ago, then she didn't have much to work with anyway.
"Stop this, Vice President."
"No, call me Himeragi like you used to. Please smile at me like you did before." It wasn't like her to bring up the past and ask for fake kindness from anyone. When he realized she was at wit's end and was pleading with him knowing it was irrational, Akashi grabbed her shoulders.
"Do not ask for insincere behavior. Do not request something you know I cannot give you." Her eyebrows furrowed and because of her being honest with how she wanted him to act, Himeragi was more hurt than usual from his refusal. His hands were on her shoulders to push her away again.
"But even when we disagreed about how to lead the team, you showed me kindness! It was unfair since then, so why can't you continue doing so?!" She was right to have called him unfair by treating her differently, even when they didn't agree and to ask him why he couldn't act the same way, even now. But the issue was this hardened personality, born from his insecurities and dislike of weakness. If he gave into his desire to be nice to Himeragi just like before, he risked another moment when he would have to choose between his ideology and her. "What can I do…? What can I do when you won't even look at me anymore?!" She uncharacteristically yelled, surprising him with tears streaming down her cheeks. Believing this to be one of the last times Akashi would be honest with her, Himeragi poured her locked away emotions into her pleas.
"Even if you cry like this, I will not abide by your wishes." Even if it would hurt her now, Akashi didn't want to deceive her with fake behavior. It was better to go their separate ways after their time in Teikō, so he couldn't hurt her anymore.
"Call me by my name." His last strand of rationality told him not to, as his heart rate sped up. "If you hate being around me so much, then please just make it clear to me and I'll stay away for good." But Akashi didn't hate her. Her emotional pleas had the power to make him waver. It pained him to be near her because given the choice, he never wanted her to leave his side. Seeing the tears drip down her face, Akashi's heart clenched. He was shocked when her arms wrapped tightly around his torso, not wanting him to leave. He wanted to tell her not to cling to a boy in her bedroom or let down her guard with him. He wanted to tell her not to trust him but couldn't say any of these things.
"I can't give you the answer you want—"
"No. Please be honest with me, now." Azusa continued to cry on his shoulder, mumbling that she wanted to be by his side. That was the reason Akashi needed to stay away from her, for he feared that he would neglect her in the face of pressure. He couldn't bear to have to choose his father's strict orders over her so he needed to eliminate the choice to begin with. But it hurt him so much that he couldn't stop her tears.
"Azusa." He couldn't fight it anymore. When the girl he loved was crying for him to take care of her, no amount of self-control could win against her bawling. She could feel him trembling while he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and rested his head on her shoulder. In response, Himeragi clutched the back of his shirt. "You shouldn't have said that." With his resolve being weakened, his voice came out as a murmur. "Because I can't push you away anymore." Himeragi held her breath, not knowing what expression Akashi was making. "If you ask me if I hate you, I would say that I don't. I can't push you away with my own hands so I have to ask you to do this. Please stop trying to understand me." Himeragi felt like crying even more, even though he was confessing that he didn't hate her. What contradicting words. Truthfully, Himeragi didn't want to let go. She didn't want to let go of all the progress she made in making him value friendship. She wanted to be closer to him.
"You bad… bad…" He couldn't help but smile. Akashi accepted the blame for putting her through this emotional roller coaster.
"Azusa." Hearing her name once more made her cry again. Contrary to his cold words, he said her name with affection.
"Sei." When they looked into each other's eyes and Himeragi confirmed the smile that didn't reach his eyes, she felt her eyes water again. "Sei, I want to be by your side." Akashi immediately shook his head. But he knew she was stubborn and warm-hearted, with probably a myriad amount of protests against his decision floating around in her brain. After he grasped her chin, Akashi leaned in with half-lidded eyes, choosing this as his last concession to her, who always had his heart. Himeragi's eyes dilated when she felt Akashi's face hovering over hers and his lips touching hers in the next instant. In contrast to his cold words, his lips were warm and gentle, as if he was afraid of hurting her. Himeragi accepted it because she didn't hate it, looking into his eyes. Even as two people who handled situations almost entirely with logic, they looked at each other with such emotional gazes, as if they were both about to cry. When words became superfluous, this was Akashi's answer. "You didn't ask." she said, covering her blushing cheeks with her hands.
"I'm sorry for not asking first." he said, before leaning in again and resting his forehead on hers. Knowing that their time together was approaching its end, she closed her eyes.
"Please don't ever forget that you're a kind person." Akashi didn't answer because it was so characteristic of her to say such a thing when he wasn't giving her reasons, just decisions. He allowed her to continue hugging him for another minute, before grasping her wrists, as his unspoken way of telling her to let go. If she were honest with her feelings and hasn't resigned to listening to him, she would have told him not to go.
"When you've learned the whole truth, my answer is that I'll leave you. If you feel guilty for leaving my side, then stay away now." It was cruel but he stared her down with the same stare he used on Murasakibara. "Don't be a nuisance, Vice-President." Neither side could make eye contact with the other. Full of regret for not being able to tell him "please don't go," Himeragi sank to the floor. "With this, our relationship has been reset. I'm sorry, Azusa." Rina saw the hurt expression on Seijūrō's face when he shut his eyes and stayed in front of her door, leaving the crying Azusa in her room. As much as she wanted to interfere, Rina knew it wouldn't have much of an effect. These kids shouldered far too much and until they could depend on one another, no one could get through to either of them. Therefore Azusa's mother gave her daughter the night to process, knowing that she was shedding tears for the same reason that she shed tears in the past: because she felt helpless, being unable to do anything for Seijūrō.
Early the next morning, Azusa's father and brother came rushing home, almost forgetting to take off their shoes and jackets, before they made it a race for Azusa's room. She had just laid back down after eating porridge and her mother was going to speak with her as she rested, before her husband and son came barging in.
"Azusa!" her father cried, as his wife scolded him, telling him not to make so much ruckus. She was quick to open her eyes to her father's voice, as she grasped the blankets in slight intimidation. As her mother sat down to pat her daughter's head and confirm that she wasn't feverish, her brother and father stayed standing. They saw her swollen eyes from crying and dried tears on her cheeks, realizing how pained she felt when she remembered the past. What they didn't know was that most of her tears were for Akashi but it remained in everyone's best interest to never know that. When Kazuki saw Azusa clearly uncomfortable, being stared at by her father and him, he looked crestfallen.
"Are you alright?" As she glanced up at the worried expressions of her brother and father, whose personas seemed very different from usual, she didn't know how to respond.
"I…" her family members listened intently, as they had prepared for the worst and expected that she regained all of her memories. "I'm sorry for all my careless actions." Confused as to what she meant, her father tried to speak before she continued. "I now remember that I fell off a balcony because I exhausted myself by not eating, after Shiori-san's death. When I woke up, your personas were different because you were fed up with my actions. For that, I apologize." Kazuki, feeling hurt that his younger sister thought that they changed the way they acted around her because they were annoyed with her, clenched his fists.
"We were fed up?! Of course not! We care about you the most!" He shouted, shocking Azusa, who gripped the sheets tighter. After nodding at her mother, Azusa's father spoke in a calm tone.
"Kazuki is right. We were in no place to tell you to forget the death of someone else, especially someone you truly loved. But after your accident, we didn't want you to remember your sadness and to see you cry anymore. It was selfish on our part and unfair to Seijūrō when we chose to send you to America." Her father, who she remembered to be loving, showed the same expression he used to show Azusa, when he would lift her in the air out of joy. "We never stopped loving you, our sweet child. In fact, after your accident, we loved you so much that we didn't want you to remember the past, so we became stern parents, just so that you wouldn't remember. But now that you remember everything…" When he and Kazuki also sat on the bed, Azusa froze up before tearing up.
"Papa… Nii-Nii... Mama…"
"We're glad you're okay, Azusa. And we're also glad we don't have to pretend to not love you anymore." Her mom said, before enveloping her in a hug that her brother and father soon joined in on.
"If there's anyone you want to blame for what transpired between our families, blame it on me. I knew you wouldn't want to forget Masaomi's son or his wife but when you fell out of that tree, I chose your safety above all else. I didn't want you to grieve anymore."
"You were always thinking of me. Thank you… Papa." as he was moved to tears by her reverting to calling him "Papa," Rina looked on with adoration in her eyes. Although they had wished that she forgave them so easily, to see the understanding in her eyes was truly heartwarming.
"Don't worry, Azusa-chan. Your feelings will definitely reach him." she blurted, forgetting that her husband and son were in the room. As they were horrified by the "him" she mentioned and Azusa slightly blushed because she remembered the kiss, their heartfelt moment abruptly ended in Kazuki and Yamato questioning Rina with urgency. Azusa was still unsure of what she could do for Seijūrō and decided they both needed the space. But her mother was right; she didn't give up hope.
"Which beast wouldn't have already accepted Azusa's feelings?! Even though he shouldn't even be close to her to begin with!" Now that Azusa thought about it, her brother was also quite protective of her when they were younger, putting up resistance every time she said she wanted to go see Seijūrō.
"It's Masaomi's boy isn't it?! Didn't I plead with you to not have them engaged?!" Yamato stared at Rina, hoping that she telepathically understood his pain. He couldn't even speak openly about the engagement, thanks to the Akashi duo. Rina and Jii-ya did not answer him, having known that this engagement would be in danger if Yamato and Kazuki ever heard that Azusa was kissed, in her own room. When they saw Azusa patting Kazuki's back as he continued to hug her, they felt reassured that her will wasn't completely shattered. Although the biggest problem was Masaomi and his strict upbringing, they had faith that Azusa would continue melting the walls around Seijūrō's heart and likely face Masaomi by herself, however laborious that battle may be.
"By the way, Azusa-chan, there's something else you should know." The two male family members gulped, as they knew they were in trouble for not having said anything about the truth before Rina brought it up herself. "Our family has property in Kyoto close to the Akashi's family. Your father and brother were actually there, up until a few days ago. Actually, our family owns property in New York too." If she was mentioning that at a time like this, then there must have been a question she wanted Azusa to ask.
"Mama, how is it possible that we have this much property when we own one hospital?" Yamato and Kazuki's conscience were struck at that moment, because it had been their job to tell her what the family actually did for a living, yet they never disclosed it to her.
"D-Dad, come on… we have to say something…" Azusa grew suspicious, wondering what they were hiding from her.
"A-Azusa… about our family hospital… We're not actually a family of doctors…?" Her mind went blank at that moment, as her mother scolded her father for his terrible delivery of the news. Kazuki, who regained some strength, tried to reconcile the falling apart situation.
"Dad is actually the CEO of the Himeragi Tycoon, a company with hotels all around the world. On top of that, we offer medical services so we aren't lying about being a family of doctors, although it's just Mom's side of the family!" Kazuki added, as Azusa was still frozen in place, feeling memories of how her father wore a white coat as if he was the lead surgeon at their hospital. He even spent copious amounts of time in the hospital so even if she was suspicious, it didn't seem warranted. In an attempt to make it up to her, Yamato quickly tried to spout every honest thing he knew about their family history.
"Your mother is a doctor! She was a medical student when I met her and I had a passion for business, specifically hotel management! Kazuki wants to go to the same school and is considering taking over the company when he grows older! Fear not, the hospital you love so much will stay!"
"T-Then what was my helping at the hospital as a deal, for…?" She recalled their deal that she would be allowed to continue being the basketball team's second manager under the condition that she would help out with whatever they asked at the hospital.
"Oh, that was just Papa's way of monopolizing you and making sure you didn't hang out with guy friends~ Besides, you are exceptional at coding and handling negotiations with clients." Her mother said with a carefree air, as Azusa continued to stare blankly.
"Where is the headquarters of the company located…?" she asked, although she could already guess the answer.
"N-New York?" her father stammered out, as with that confirmation, Azusa fainted in Kazuki's arms, realizing that all these years, she was lied to about what the family did and even her father's whereabouts when they were on bad terms.
"Azusa!"
"So the biggest shock was that your Papa was living so close to you when you both didn't speak, huh?"
"Don't repeat it Rina! I'm shocked too!"
"Well the point of this is that we all have to work hard to regain Azusa-chan's affections!" Rina said, pointing nowhere in particular.
Why did Akashi name Himeragi as his fiancé if he wanted to avoid her?
1. First and foremost, it was an instinctive choice. He likes her. (Y'all already knew that tho)
2. His father would have proposed some sort of transaction involving her to her father, who felt guilty for not letting Seijūrō see Azusa before she was transferred abroad. Seijūrō (and his father) don't wish for the families to share bad blood.
3. Since she wasn't trained from a young age to succeed the Himeragi Tycoon, she is unassuming and wouldn't catch his father's eye. High ranking businessmen also do not know of her existence so there is enough mystery shrouding her to make her hard to find.
4. (Lol) Our boi does not exactly understand love and is just trying his best. In the case that she finds someone in their friend group that she loves, he plans to use this to steal her away. [but he doesn't know this yet]
He ties this all together in a request that she does not get involved in any arrangements. All he wants is her name to use as his fiancé and her father wants to protect her so they form an alliance.
Sorry about the sporadic updates~ It's the start of internships so I was hustling all week! Will try to update whenever I can (I promise I won't leave you hanging for a month, maybe like a week or 2 but def not a month)
