The rangers are strong, but they have to get stronger and be ready for when Hawk Moth is at it again. They were in the middle of training in the park and working on their skills.

"Incoming!" Nino shouted as he jumped in the air and tried to land a kick, but Marinette caught it and tossed him aside.

"You okay?" Marinette asked.

"Yeah. Nice move." Nino said as Marinette helped her up. All six of them were doing well, but Marinette stopped when she heard something. She went over to check it out.

"Marinette, what is it?" Adrien asked as they followed her.

"Take a look." Marinette as she looked behind some bushes. They looked and spotted Sol Knight was there as well and he was doing some training as well. They saw him practicing hand-to-hand combat against a tree.

"Sol Knight is training here too?" Alya said.

"Maybe we should train with him." Marinette said as she was going to talk to him, but the others stopped her from going.

"Why bother even asking?" Nino said. "The guy obviously doesn't like us. He prefers to be by himself."

"But he fought by our side before." Marinette said. "I say we try and reach out to him so he officially becomes part of the team."

"I don't think that's a good idea, Marinette." Francis said. "Sol Knight gets too focused on his mission and is willing to sacrifice others in order to get it. We can't work with someone who puts his mission over the wellbeing of others."

"Remember when we went after the Light of Miracles?" Alya asked. "He willingly attacked us to try and get them. He'll do anything if it means he'll complete his mission."

"I understand, but maybe we should get him to understand." Marinette said. "We fight for the same thing. We just don't agree on the method. I'm going to talk to him." Marinette stepped out, but the others weren't so sure about this. "Hi, Sol Knight."

"Pink Ranger?" Sol Knight said as he stopped his training. "What do you want?"

"I just thought you would like a training partner or something. The rest of us are training." Marinette said.

"No thank you." Sol Knight said. "I train alone. I've handled every challenge by myself and I will continue to do so."

"You don't have to." Marinette said. "Sol Knight, don't you see that we fight for the same reason as you do. We want to stop Hawk Moth too. You just got to be able to work with us."

"I do not wish to work with you." Sol Knight said. "You aren't willing to make sacrifices like I am. You haven't hardened your hearts like I have. The mission comes first for me and that's something you rangers don't do."

"How can you be willing to put others at risk just for your mission?" Marinette said.

"To a knight, the mission takes priority." Sol Knight said. "You would be wise to stay out of my way." Sol Knight walked away and Marinette felt kind of bad for him.

"Told you he wouldn't go for it." Nino said as the other rangers stood with her.

"He just doesn't seem to understand that there are more things more important than a mission." Marinette said. "I would like to think he will learn."

"You're a good person, Marinette. However, it's going to take more than just kind words to convince Sol Knight." Luka said. "Once someone sets their heart on something, it can be hard to change it." Marinette felt bad for Sol Knight and is hoping he would come around soon. Their thoughts on all this were interrupted when they heard some sort of explosion.

"What was that?" Adrien questioned.

"Only one way to find out." Francis said as they went to where it came from.

The Streets

People were running scared as Miracle Queen began attacking the city. She enjoyed seeing those who she thought was beneath her running scared.

"Miracle Queen!" She turned around and saw the rangers coming her way.

"Just who I was looking for." Miracle Queen said. "It's payback time for what happened before."

"You haven't beaten us before. What makes you think you can this time?" Adrien asked.

"Because I have some help." Miracle Queen said. She snapped her fingers and a white cat-like monster appeared. "Say hello to Cat Blanc."

"So are these the ones?" Cat Blanc said. "No problem. I'll turn them to dust before they even know it." He formed white energy in his hand and tossed it. All of them ducked down and saw an entire bus to be turned to dust.

"Whoa! Unreal!" Alya said.

"His destructive power is infinite. You rangers won't stand a chance against him." Miracle Queen said.

"We'll see about that. It's morphin time! Ready?!" Francis said.

"Ready!"

"Miraculous Power!" All of the morphed and activated the Light of Miracles from the start. All of them charged right at them to attack.

"Careful. This kitty's got claws." Cat Blanc said as he charged and met the rangers and engaged all of them in combat. As they tried to fight him off, Miracle Queen just sat back and enjoyed the show. Marinette wasn't going to let her just stand there like that.

"Don't you want in on the fun?" Marinette said as she went to fight her.

"As if you can beat me!" Miracle Queen said as she tried to fight off Marinette as she kept swinging her sword. Miracle Queen grabbed Marinette's arm and held it down. "Can't you see that you will never beat me?"

"It's the other way around. You're one spoiled brat I can take down!" Marinette said as she broke free and kept the fight going. The others kept fighting Cat Blanc. He tossed Adrien and Alya aside and jumped back when Nino and Francis attacked him.

"I got him." Luka said as he began playing his lyre and the sound was bothering that cat. "Now!"

"Got it!" Francis said as he and the others charged to attack.

"Nice try!" Cat said. He formed an orb of destructive energy and tossed it. It caused an explosion that blew them back.

"Oh no!" Marinette said as she saw that happen. Miracle Queen took the opening and kicked her back.

"Worry about yourself." Miracle Queen said. The rangers are against a powerful threat. However, they were saved as they all saw Sol Knight jump in and slashed against Cat Blanc.

"Hey! Who are you?" Cat questioned.

"The one who will destroy you!" Sol Knight said as he charged at him and began to attack as he swung his sword against him. Cat Blanc caught it and kicked him back.

"You want to play? So be it." Miracle Queen said as she created a swarm of wasps. Sol Knight tried to swat the wasps away, but there was too many of them as they were doing some damage against him. Cat Blanc unleashed another destructive blast and it hit Sol Knight with him getting knocked down.

"Sol Knight!" Marinette called out as she ran to help him. "Are you okay?"

"Get back." Sol Knight said as he pushed her back. "Focus on destroying them. Do not concern yourself with me."

"I can't do that." Marinette said.

"Time to say good night!" Cat said as he charged with some destructive power in his claw. Marinette moved and stood in the way of the attack as he slammed his claw against her and she was taken massive damage.

"Marinette!" Adrien called as they all saw she was in danger. Marinette was blown back with great force and hit a wall with her knocked out. "Oh no!"

"Get her out of here!" Francis said. All of them moved and worked on getting Marinette out of there.

"None of you are going anywhere!" Cat said as he was going to try and stop them, but Francis jumped in and slashed his sword against him.

"Come on. You're coming with us." Francis said as he grabbed Sol Knight and they made a run for it.

"Hey! Come back and fight!" Cat called.

"Leave it." Miracle Queen said. "They're down a ranger now. They'll come back. Only we'll finish them off next time. It's only a matter of time."

…

Rangers' Base

"Is she okay?" Alya asked as she and the others were really concerned about her. Marinette got hurt real badly and Fu was doing his best to treat her injuries.

"She's greatly injured." Fu said as he bandaged the injury around her stomach. "I'm afraid she might be out for a while."

"It's her own fault." Sol Knight said. "She shouldn't have stepped in like that. It was just foolish."

"What?!" Adrien said as he was angry and stormed at him. "You ungrateful jerk. Marinette risked herself to protect you."

"She shouldn't have. She should have focused on her mission and destroyed those two." Sol Knight said. "It was foolish of her to save me. I told her and the rest of you to stay out of my way."

"And you're alive because Marinette didn't listen." Luka said.

"How can you say all that when Marinette saved you?" Alya said as all of them had enough of him.

"Guys, stop. This won't do any good." Francis said as he stopped anything from happening. "Marinette needs some rest. How about the five of us get some air and keep our eyes open. They'll be back eventually." The other rangers agreed, but that doesn't mean they forgive Sol Knight. All of them stepped out and left Fu with Sol Knight.

"I hope you didn't mean what you said." Fu said. "You're not a bad person, Sol Knight. Surely, you must feel something from Marinette's actions."

"It's strange. There's this unfamiliar feeling in my chest when I think about it." Sol Knight said. "No one has ever risked themselves for me. What is this?"

"You feel gratitude for Marinette for saving you." Fu said. "You might also feel guilt for her getting hurt to protect you."

"I simply don't understand." Sol Knight said. "Why would anyone risk themselves for another?"

"Caring for others is part of human nature." Fu said. "I understand that you're a knight on a mission, but there are some things more important than a mission. When you care for someone other than yourself, it gives you great strength and gives life more meaning. The rangers understand how valuable life is. That's why they risked themselves for others."

"I've worked alone for so long. I'm not really sure what to think of all this." Sol Knight said.

"Perhaps it's something you should think about now." Fu said and left Sol Knight to think and maybe Sol Knight can learn his lesson from Marinette.

Hawk Moth's Hideout

"I have good news, Hawk Moth." Miracle Queen said. "Pinky seems like she's going to be out for a while. That Sol Knight also seems like he's not working that well with the rangers."

"Sol Knight could be a problem, but he's been around for a while and still doesn't work with the rangers." Mayura said.

"Excellent. One less ranger to worry about." Hawk Moth said. "Miracle Queen, go and take care of the other rangers. Mayura, send Cat Blanc out and have him destroy Sol Knight."

"As you wish." Mayura said.

"Once I get my hands on those rangers, they're going to wish they never met me." Miracle Queen said.

….

The Rangers

"How could Sol Knight be so cold?" Adrien said. They were still pretty upset over what Sol Knight said.

"That jerk. Marinette risked her life to save him and he doesn't even care." Nino said.

"Easy, guys. I know it's hard, but there must be some good in Sol Knight." Francis said. "He just doesn't understand why Marinette did what she did."

"What's to understand?" Alya said as none of them even want to understand.

"Look, Sol Knight has worked on his own for a long time." Francis said. "He had no team to work with and he doesn't quite understand how to work with one. Maybe we should take Marinette's advice and try to help him see that there are some things more important than his mission." All of them weren't sure, but it was worth a shot.

"You have bigger problems on your hands, rangers." They looked and saw Miracle Queen with akumas. "Tear them apart!"

….

Sol Knight

Sol Knight thought about what Fu has told him. No one has ever risked their life for him before and now he's beginning to see a lot of things differently.

"I'm sorry, Marinette. No one has ever risked themselves for me before." Sol Knight said. Sol Knight held out his hand and shared some of his power with her and it caused her injuries to heal. "Thank you for what you've done. I'll never forget it." He left Marinette to rest and has repaid his debt. Now to finish what he started.

….

The Streets

Sol Knight wanted to finish what he started. He went in search for Cat Blanc and other evil. He kept his guard up as he could feel it.

"I can sense evil close, but where?" Sol Knight said as he searched around.

"Here!" Cat Blanc jumped down and slashed his claws against Sol Knight. "No rangers around to save you this time." Mayura stood at the top of a building and watched.

"Excellent." Mayura said.

"Come on, you fiend!" Sol Knight said as he went on the attack. He tried using his sword, but Cat Blanc was a tough opponent. He jumped and kicked Sol Knight with both feet. He formed more energy and unleashed a powerful blast of destructive energy against Sol Knight.

…..

Marinette

Marinette could sense what was happening to Sol Knight. She opened her eyes and shot straight up. Fu noticed and rushed over to her.

"Marinette, are you okay?" Fu said. "You're injuries have all healed. It's amazing

"Sol Knight… He's in trouble." Marinette said.

"You were just dreaming." Fu said.

"No. He healed me. He gave me some of his power." Marinette said as she got back on her feet. "I've got to go and help him." Marinette didn't wait another second and hurried to help him.

…

The Rangers

The other five rangers continued to fight off the akumas and Miracle Queen. They finished off the akumas and were left facing Miracle Queen.

"You won't get by me." Miracle Queen said as she was ready to fight. They were about to, but they heard their morphers alerting them.

"Rangers, Marinette has awaken. I think she went after Sol Knight, who might be in trouble." Fu said.

"Marinette is awake? We've got to help her." Adrien said. All of them felt the same way as he did.

"It's morphin time! Ready?!"

"Ready!"

"Miraculous Power!" All of them morphed and were ready to get to Marinette, but Miracle Queen stood in there way.

"You would have to get through me first." Miracle Queen said.

"No problem." Francis said as they each pulled out their blasters and blasted Miracle Queen. All five of them hurried and ran right over her.

"No one walks over me." Miracle Queen said.

…

Sol Knight

Cat Blanc caused even more destruction with his power. He caused an explosion that blew Sol Knight back and he took some damage.

"This is easier than I thought." Cat Blanc said as he walked forward and was getting ready to finish him.

"Back off!" He was surprised as he saw Marinette showed up and used her sword against him as she slashed against him. Marinette hurried over to Sol Knight and helped him up. "Are you okay?"

"Hey! I thought I put her out of commission!" Cat said.

"It would see were able to heal yourself." Sol Knight said.

"Thanks to you. So let's put an end to this together." Marinette said. "I can tell you left something for me. So let's use it together." Sol Knight actually agreed as they both gathered power in their swords.

"Double Solar Slash!" They both used the same attack and they both slashed against Cat Blanc and he was the one that ended up destroyed.

"Yeah! See? I knew we could make a great team together." Marinette said. This had Sol Knight rethink a lot of things.

"Marinette!" Both of them looked and they were glad to see she was on her feet. "I'm so glad to see you're not hurt." Adrien said.

"Fitting you're all here." All of them looked up and spotted Mayura and held a feather. "Now you can all be finished together." She released the feather and it revived Cat Blanc with him as a giant.

"Sun Zords, Arise!" Francis said as they all called on his zords. They combined them together and formed the Sun Megazord.

"I'm going to enjoy seeing that be torn to pieces!" Cat Blanc said as he unleashed destructive energy blasts. They formed their shield and was able to block the attacks, but they could still feel the impacts from the attack.

"We won't be able to hold out much longer." Luka said.

"We've got to do something about those blasts." Nino said. They puzzled on what they could do about it.

"Wait! Let's just send it back at him!" Marinette said. They let Marinette take the lead. Cat Blanc unleashed another attack, but Marinette used the Ram Slam to repel it and it blasted Cat Blanc with his own power. "Now we let's finish the job!"

"Miraculous Sun Blaze!" They unleashed a powerful blast of fire. Cat Blanc got blasted by the attack and rather than causing destruction, he was the one that was destroyed. That makes another win for the rangers. After the battle, Marinette and the others went down to talk to Sol Knight, but they didn't see him.

"Sol Knight?! Sol Knight, where are you?!" Marinette called out, but he was already gone.

"Where is he?" Nino said.

"I guess he didn't want to stick around." Alya said.

"I wanted to thank him for helping me." Marinette said. "I knew there was some good in him."

"You might be right, but it looks like this is all unfamiliar to him. We'll have to give him some time." Francis said. They all understood and left it at that. What they didn't know was that Sol Knight was still around and he was rethinking everything he knows.
