The next afternoon, Vic was inside his Cheeteh driving through Vice Point on his way to Louise's house. The morning was bright, sunny, and colorful. Doves flew above the city and between the trees and buildings. Vic had the radio on, listening to "Freaks Come Out At Night" by Whodini. It was the perfect day to go on another date with Louise. Vic finally pulled up in front of Louise's house and hopped out of the vehicle.

Vic walked over to the front door of the house and knocked on it. He waited for about thirty seconds until he finally heard the door creak open. He saw Louise standing at the doorway holding Mary-Beth in her arms.

"Morning, Vic," Louise greeted smiling at Vic.

"Morning, Louise," Vic replied. "You ready to go on another date?"

"Sure," Louise answered. "What would you like to do now?"

"I was hoping for some fun and relaxation at the same time," Vic told her. "Something that we can both enjoy without having to run around. Something that's both fun and mature for us adults."

"Let me guess," Louise surmised. "You want to take me out on a movie, don't you?"

"Well... yes," Vic answered.

"I'll have to think about this," Louise told him twisting her lips and wrapping her thumb and index finger between her chin. "I'd love that! There's been a lot of great movies that I am dying to see!"

"Well then come with me and we'll head over to the movie theater to see what's playing right now," Vic said.

"Okay," Louise said as she turned back to the inside of the house. "I'll go get my things ready. Just wait for me, Vic."

Vic waited for about 55 seconds until he saw Louise come out through the door with her purse and Mary-Beth in her arm, with the car-seat around her other arm and stroller gripped in her fingers. "I'm ready now, Vic," she told Vic.

"Great," Vic said. "Now let's go see what movie is playing right now."

The couple walked over to the Cheetah, in which Louise had placed the car-seat in the back seat, strapped Mary-Beth in, and stored the stroller into the trunk. She then hopped inside the passenger's seat, and Vic started the engine.

Vic parked into an empty space in the parking lot, and he and Louise hopped out, with Louise taking Mary-Beth out of her car-seat and putting her in the stroller. Together, the couple walked over to the front entrance of the North Point Mall, where many customers and a few security guards were prancing around. The song "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins was playing in the background.

"You ready to have another great date?" Vic asked Louise.

"Am I!" Louise replied with glee.

"Well let's hurry up and enter the movie theater before the line grows long!" Vic told her.

The movie theater was all the way down the hall to the left. Vic and Louise walked side by side through the mall, with Louise pushing Mary-Beth's stroller as the infant cooed effervescently, as if she was just as excited to see a movie with the couple.

"Looks like Mary-Beth is just as eager to see the film as much as we are," Louise told Vic smiling.

"I can tell," Vic chuckled. "Well as her soon-to-turned-to stepfather, I'll make sure she enjoys every activity she likes before she could take her first steps."

Louise giggled in agreement. "You'll definitely be a great father to my baby, Vic," she told Vic.

Vic just responded with a chuckle. Even though he was slightly skeptical of this fact, he felt it wouldn't hurt to make sure Mary-Beth grew up with a much more reliable father in her life

The mall's music then switched over to "It's My Life" by Talk Talk, and the couple finally made it to the line leading inside the movie theater. Thankfully, the line wasn't too long, and it was moving much quicker.

"Check it out," Louise called pointing at the movie flyers above the ticket booth. "StepDetach, Purple Rain, The Kung Fu Child, Ghostbusters, which would you like to choose, Vic?"

"So many choices," Vic replied thinking. "Just give me a second to think.

But before the couple had a chance to make a decision, they saw five guys dressed in black approaching them. One of them stepped up to Louise.

"Give me your money, lady!" he demanded.

"Hey!" Vic barked. "Get away from her!"

Vic stepped up to the man and gave him a hard punch to the jaw. But before he could get a chance to finish him off, the other four guys jumped in to beat up on Vic, and the fifth guy knocked Louise over and stole the stroller.

"Screw the cash!" he boasted running towards the exit with the stroller. "I got your baby, you white trash bitch!"

The other four guys followed along, and Vic barely hopped up to his feet. He walked over to Louise and took her hand, helping her up.

"Those assholes kidnapped my baby!" Louise shrieked pointing at the exit of the mall.

"I'll handle this, Louise," Vic told her. "You just wait in line."

"Please hurry, Vic!" Louise cried out. "Don't let them harm my baby!"

Vic knew that the security guards and police were far too useless to be any help. So it was up to him to save the afternoon. As Vic dashed out through the exit, he saw the five thugs head inside their blue minivan parked outside. They took the stroller in the back and hopped inside.

By the time Vic ran to the parking lot, the five thieves had already hopped inside the car and started the engine. Vic just ran to his Cheetah and hopped inside. He started the engine and darted after the thieves, who were making a break through Prawn Island and took the bridge leading to Downtown.

Vic knew he had to be careful during the chase through Downtown. Because Mary-Beth was still inside the van with the kidnappers and firing back at them would cause her to get injured or seriously killed. So Vic had to think of another way to get the kidnappers out of the van so he could take them all out and save Mary-Beth.

As soon as the chase continued down the long road straight down, Vic decided to stun the minivan by ramming the side of the vehicle and causing it to spin clockwise. The van had finally pulled to a stop, and the five thieves hopped out, armed with assault rifles.

"You wanna be the hero, huh tough guy?" one of them growled at Vic. "We'll show you what happens to heroes!"

"You're fucking with a corporal solder in the military, asshole!" Vic told them sharply.

"Oh yeah?" another one of the thieves replied. "Well let's see how well you can take out an army solo!"

The thieves fired their bullets at Vic, who quickly ducked out of the way and crept behind the Cheetah. Vic then pulled out his own assault rifle and fired back at the thieves, killing them one by one as he paced around to avoid getting hit by the bullets.

After the five men were killed, Vic went back inside the van to find Mary-Beth sitting against the passenger's seat crying her eyes out. She must have been very scared after the incident.

Vic reached out inside the van to grab the crying infant. "Shh," he whispered to the baby softly as he cuddled her in his muscular arms. "Shh. It'll be okay. I'm here for you. You're okay now. Don't worry. Vic's got you safe now."

The baby slowly stopped crying as Vic rocked her slowly in his arms. The sheer look that Vic gave her made Mary-Beth suddenly serene, and she let out a relieved coo as if she knew that Vic was to be trusted with her.

"Atta girl," Vic told her. "Now let's go back to the movies and have fun, okay?"

Vic walked over to the Cheetah and strapped Mary-Beth to her car-seat. He then returned to the van to retrieve Mary-Beth's stroller and hopped into the driver's seat of his Cheetah.

Vic started the engine and drove back down the long road leading to Downtown. He made a right turn at the end of the road and took the bridge leading to Prawn Island, making a right turn at the end of Vice Point. Vic made another right turn at the parking lot in front of the North Point.

Vic hopped out, took Mary-Beth out of her car-seat, and strapped her to her stroller. "Let's go inside," he told the baby. "Your mother's waiting on us."

So Vic pushed the stroller to the entrance of the mall and through the interior. He returned to the line at the movie theater to meet up with Louise, who was about to make her way in front of the booth.

"Vic!" she called. "Right on time!"

"I got your baby back," Vic told her pushing the stroller in front of her.

Louise quickly unstrapped Mary-Beth out of her stroller and hugged her tightly as she sobbed softly. "I was so scared to lose you," she cried to her baby. She then turned to Vic. "Thank you so much for rescuing my baby, Vic. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this."

"Anytime, Louise," Vic told her. "If you deserve a better life, then so does Mary-Beth."

He then walked over to the ticket booth. "We'd like two tickets to see...Star Trek III," Vic told the ticket manager. "Two adults and one infant."

The ticket manager didn't say a word and just handed the tickets to Vic, who paid him with $10. Vic handed Louise the other ticket and the two read them.

They headed to room number seven and sat on the sixth row of the seats. The couple and Mary-Beth were all enjoying the movie and the actions that were depicted in it.

During the climax of the film, Louise's hand slowly slid into Vic's arm, which caused the two to stare at each other

After the movie was over, Vic and Louise walked out the exit of the mall while Louise pushed Mary-Beth in her stroller and towards the parking lot. It was now evening outside, and the sky was now a bluish-orange color.

"That was a great movie!" Louise said excitedly. "I enjoyed every last scene!"

"Same here," Vic replied. "I'm sure Mary-Beth enjoyed it just as much."

"I can definitely tell," Louise said staring down at Mary-Beth, who was still giggling from what she saw. "We definitely picked the right choice for her."

"I get the feeling that her memory is going to come up an an early age," Vic responded. "Let's make sure she remembers this moment before she turns three."

"Great idea," Louise answered. "I want my baby to grow up enjoying her life. Let's go back home, my love."

Vic just smiled at the sheer word that Louise called him. He hopped into the driver's seat of the Cheetah as Louise folded up the stroller and put it in the trunk right after strapping Mary-Beth in her car-seat. As she hopped into the passenger's seat, Vic started the engine of the vehicle and drove out of the parking lot.

He made a right turn on the road of Vice Point and drove straight down the road, where he made another right turn just blocks to the neighborhood and in front of Louise's house.

He and Louise hopped out as Louise fetched the stroller out of the truck and took Mary-Beth out of her car-seat to put her in her stroller.

"Thanks for the wonderful time, Vic," Louise told Vic. "You're a thoughtful man."

"Hey," Vic replied modestly, "that's the very least I can do. You and the baby had fun."

"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Louise asked.

"Sure," Vic told her. "Anything to spend more quality time in the evening with my girl."

So Vic decided to join Louise inside her house to have dinner. Since Louise was now his girlfriend, Vic felt that the two should now share the same house together. After all, neither one of the two wanted to live on their own without each other, and Louise had so far been living a great life ever since Vic came around. The future was looking brighter for them both.
