WOW this is the longest chapter I've ever written; 4500+ words!
I really hope you like this chapter as a lot happens in it.

Chapter 28- "the 'Thundering'"
(Cami's perspective)
"Hammer." Hiccup said holding his left hand out to his side waiting for me to hand him the tool
I handed him the hammer.
"Thanks." he simply said
Thuggory was at the Cove caring for the dragons and preparing them to carry the metal offering Hiccup was making.
After a while he asked for a clamp and I gave it to him, we did that routine for about 3 hours
After a while he must have kind of forgotten I was there because I was so quiet. He no longer said thank you, but he still asked for tools and I still handed him the tools.
After a while he spoke
"'S getting hot in here." he mumbled and took off his shirt
"The temperature isn't what's hot." I said slyly
He whirled around to look at me because he had forgotten I was here
"Uuummm…" he said in shock
"How long were you there?" he asked
"Long before you took your shirt off." I answered
"I forgot where I was, I thought I was back in the forge with Gobber." he sighed
"I thought you said Gobber was loud when he was working?" I asked
"He is most of the time, but there are times when the only sound is the pounding of metal and one of us asking for a tool." he said reminiscing
"Where's Thuggory?" He asked
"He should be with the Dragons preparing them to carry your… thing." I said gesturing wildly at a large hollow metal cylinder outside the forge
"That 'thing' is Thor's body, right now I am making his head and helmet and that is his hammer." he said gesturing at several pieces of metal, the last of which was a large hammer resting on a table
"The body doesn't look like a body." I said
"I still have to engrave it." he said
"Anyway I can help?" I asked
"Can you find an image or a painting of Thor?" he said
"I know where one is, but is it ok if He is a She?" I asked snickering
"Let me guess, you guys think Thor was female." he said
"Pretty much, yeah." I said shrugging
"Ok its fine." he said chuckling
Then I ran off to find Rasmos.
(Thuggory's perspective)
I held Toothless' saddle and had to carry the huge thing to him, but he keeps running away
"Toothless!" I whined
I looked around the cove for Shipwreck for him to help me.
I finally spotted him sitting in the water
"Shipwreck can you tell Toothless this isn't a game."
Shipwreck blew some bubbles and then submerged himself entirely
"Wow you're a great friend." I said sarcastically
Toothless walks up beside me and is looking at Shipwreck with a grin
I jump on his back, still holding the saddle.
I strap the saddle on before he throws me off.
Toothless grunts and then walks away
"Be prepared to carry something heavy later." I called to him
Then I turned to the lake
"Now how the heck do I get the saddle on you?" I said chuckling
(Cami's perspective)
I ran to the healers hut, beside it was Rasmos' hut, that's where I went.
"Rasmos." I called
He didn't seem to be home so I ran to the healers hut.
"Rasmos." I repeated
"Cami." he Greeted as he opened the door
"Do you still have the Thor-ette Statue?" I asked
He looked at me quizzically but pointed at his house
"on the shelves beside the door, its locked but you won't need a key." he said with a small smile
"Thanks." I said as I raced over to his house
I took out a lock pick and quickly opened the door
I opened the door and entered the hallway
Along both sides were long rows of shelves with hundreds of figurines and statues
Then I saw a statue of a woman holding a large hammer. I grabbed it and ran out of the house.
(Thuggory's perspective)
(3 days later)
"What do we do about the dragons?" I asked
The three of us sat in the cove with Toothless and Shipwreck
"You mean to carry the statue?" Cami said
"When it's done." Hiccup said firmly
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Well the statues' parts are built but they need to be put together." Hiccup said
"But back to the original question. What do we do about the villagers and the dragons?" Cami asked
"We could tell them, or we could move the pick up point." Hiccup said
"We have to tell them anyway." Cami said
"Shouldn't your mother be the first to know?" I asked
"I guess but… I don't think we'll be able to hide it anymore." She said
"Honestly I'm worried." she said quietly
"Why?" I asked
"... we all had lies spread about us, but this time it will be true. And I don't know what's going to happen." she said
"Your people have supported you when you were called a whore, and an enchantress and a kidnapper, they'll support you with this." Thuggory said09
"And if they don't you have me." Hiccup said
"And me." I said mock offended
"Ok we'll go finish the statue." Cami said
And the three of us went to the village
We got there and immediately started building the statue
I started carving details into the armour, Hiccup was attaching the arms and Cami would carry tools and parts to us.
Eventually we had finished the head, the arms and the details on everything, the only thing left was Thor's hammer.
"Cami can you go grab Thor's mighty hammer." Hiccup said
"Sure." she said before running off
I struggled to keep myself from saying anything but couldn't help myself
"What you wanted to say was 'my mighty hammer.'" I joked
"Thor! Thuggory would you please stop." he exclaimed
"Sorry I couldn't help myself."
Cami returned with the hammer.
"I got it, and I also returned the Thor-ette statue to Rasmos."
"Good we are pretty much finished." Hiccup said
Then he looked up at the statues outstretched right arm
"Now we just gotta get it up there." he sighed
It ended up taking all three of us to lift the hammer and fit it inside his fist.
Then we just had to decide whether to let the villagers know about the dragons.
We decided we would.
Hiccup argued that we were gonna tell them eventually so why not now?
Cami argued that we had to tell her mom anyway
And I argued that dragons are cool, plain and simple.
Me and Hiccup went to the cove to get Toothless and Shipwreck
While Cami went to gather the people.
(Cami's perspective)
I called the villagers to the town square
Everyone gathered around the statue.
"It looks so good." one cried
"It looks like Thor!" another exclaimed
"He built it in 3 days!" one said of Hiccup
"We'll prepare our fastest ship." One said rallying a lot of the villagers
"Wait." I called before they left
Everyone stopped and looked at me
"Our means of transport might be a bit unorthodox but it will work, I won't be needing a ship but what I will need is your cooperation."
"What do you need us to do?" someone asked
"I need you to be calm and not attack." I said
"Huh?" a few asked
"What?" some of them said
They were all confused but I hope they will obey.
"DRAGONS!" someone screamed
I looked behind me at the sky and saw Toothless and Shipwreck
"Calm down!" I shouted, most of the crowd stopped freaking out.
"Ok? … these are our 'unorthodox transportation.'" I said gesturing at the two dragons above me
"These two will carry the statue to the 'Thundering ceremony'." I said
"How do they know where to go?" someone asked
"They don't know the urgency of the situation." someone said
"Dragons are smarter than we think and we are here to guide them." Hiccup said from atop Toothless.
This brought an outrage through the people, they must not have seen Hiccup or Thuggory riding Toothless or Shipwreck
Hiccup and Thuggory dropped chains that I hooked onto a leather strap that held the statue
I jumped on the statue and climbed up to its shoulder and held the chain for balance as Toothless and Shipwreck lifted it off the ground
The five of us flew towards the island where Bertha and Stoick would be.
(Hiccup's perspective)
(the next day)
We could see Bertha's ship just a little bit ahead of us
"C'mon bud." I said patting Toothless' neck
Toothless put on a burst of speed and Shipwreck seemed to realise that this is the last stretch and got a second wind.
"We're almost there!" Cami cheered from behind me
We flew above the ship and a lot of the women grabbed bows and arrows and bolas to try and bring us down.
Cami jumped down and slapped the bows and bolas out of their hands
"Hold!" I shouted
The crew split their attention between me and Cami
"What is going on?" Bertha roared as she stepped out of her cabin
Everyone froze
She looked at Cami who looked suspicious, then she looked at me and Thuggory riding dragons, then at the statue still hanging above the boat.
"What is this?" she asked sternly, gesturing between me and Thuggory riding the dragons to the metal statue suspended below us.
"Well…" Cami started
"No. tell me in my cabin."
me and Thuggory slowly lowered the statue onto the deck then they dropped the chains
Cami unwrapped the leather carrier around the statue
Toothless and Shipwreck slowly flew down towards the deck
"No. The beasts must go. I will not permit them on my ship." Bertha said angrily
Me and Thuggory looked at eachother
We dismounted our dragons and told them to go home. They both hesitated for a second then they flew away in the direction of the Bog isles
Then the three of us made our way to Bertha's cabin under the scrutinizing gaze of all the crew women.
"Explain." Bertha said angrily once we sat down in front of her
I sighed and spoke.
"The dragons were my idea."
She raised an eyebrow
"Gods how do I explain this?" I mumbled
I paused
"During the raid when I was on top of the catapult… when it exploded I jumped off the catapult. I landed on top of Toothless..."
"Toothless?" she cut me off raising a hand.
"The Night fury." Cami explained
"You named it?" she asked
"Him." I corrected
"Them." Thuggory quickly corrected
Bertha sighed and held her head
"Continue." she sighed
"After a small scuffle in the air we crashed in a cove in the forest of Bog island. Both me and Toothless were knocked unconscious, by the time I woke back up he was already awake. During the scuffle we both got caught in a net and when we woke up we were still in the net. Toothless had who knows how long to kill me. But he didn't. So I cut a hole in the net big enough for me but small enough that he couldn't get out. The two of us sat across from each other for a while, I realised he was smarter than I thought."
"Then Hiccup introduced me to Toothless during the thing." Cami said
"And Hiccup introduced me to Toothless later on during the thing." Thuggory supplied
"What about the other beast?" Bertha asked
"That is my dragon; Shipwreck, he's a sharkworm."
Bertha paled at his name but said nothing
"I wanted my own dragon similar to Toothless and Hiccup so we went searching for one, eventually I found Shipwreck pinned inside a cove by an anchor of a shipwreck. I helped free him and he became friendly."
"When did you become… friends with him?" Bertha asked
"I found Shipwreck…"
"Please call IT Dragon or…" Bertha interrupted
"I will call HIM by HIS name." Thuggory said firmly
There was an awkward silence in which Bertha and Thuggory had a mini staring contest for dominance.
Bertha sighed and waved her hand to continue.
"...A couple days after my father left." Thuggory continued after a moment
"What did you plan on using the beasts for?" Bertha asked
"Anything, they are good for transportation, defense against other vikings, offence, exploration, labour and just being a friend." I said
"Go and help out on the ship, and the dragons are not allowed to help. When we get home I will speak with the elders." she sighed after a moment
The three of us left and did different duties
I helped with the rigging
Cami and Thuggory went and did other things.
(Thuggory's perspective)
"Where can I help?" I asked one of the women
"Help lift the offering onto a cart." she replied
So I helped a bunch of the women lift the offering up off the deck and a few other women pushed a cart underneath
"GGGRRR!" I grunted as I lifted the massive thing up
*Clunk*
The statue hit the cart as we all sighed in exhaustion.
(Cami's perspective)
I climbed the mast and stood on the top.
Down below I could see Hiccup helping with the rigging of the sails and Thuggory lifting the statue onto a cart.
Thuggory only held it for 30 seconds at most but when he was done he slumped down and leaned against the cart.
Now that I think about it Toothless and Shipwreck had to carry at least 700 pounds of metal including the three of us for nearly a day!
It just shows how strong they really are.
Then I looked up, Land!
"LAND AHOY!" I called
A lot of the crew looked out to where I pointed
I could see a ship pulling up to the port, it bore the Hooligan flag.
"The hooligans are already there." I said loudly
"Ok, c'mon down here and get ready." Bertha said
(Thuggory's perspective)
We soon pulled into port, I helped push the cart carrying the offering.
Hiccup, Cami and Bertha walked in front of the cart while me, Tindra and another woman pushed it.
"Bertha, you arrived." Stoick said
"Under better circumstances i'd say 'I always do.'" she said curtly
"Let's get this over with." Stoick said gruffly
"Let's." Bertha replied curtly
Then we all followed Stoick to an area in the middle of the beach where there was another statue made out of wood and stone.
Ours had a small bit of wood in it but it was mostly metal.
We set our offering about 10 feet to the side of the Hooligans offering
And the Bog Burglars gathered together away from the Hooligans.
Then we waited till the storm came
A few hours had passed in which Snotlout continued to whine to Stoick about Camicazi being his wife and how they can't execute her, Hiccup doubted himself and other tribes showed up to see what would happen.
Of these tribes were the Outcasts, the Berserkers, the Meatheads, the Murderous and the Uglithugs.
They all stayed clear of us and the Hooligans.
The Hooligan teens decided to approach us however.
"Hey babe." Snotlout said
"Ugg. get away from me." Cami said in disgust
"I can't i'm drawn to you." he said
"I will draw my blades on you again." I said threateningly
"Hey hey no need to get aggressive." he said placatingly
"If you draw, I draw." the shield maiden said threateningly
"Is that a threat?" I asked calmly
"It is if you think it is." she said
"Do I think it is?" I asked her
"I don't know, I don't know what you think." she replied
"Well you should." I said as I crouched down and spun with one leg extended so it tripped her.
Then I drew one of my axes and held it to her neck.
"Don't think about what you would do, think what your opponent will do." I said then I pulled the axe away and resheathed it.
She got up and glowered at me
"Ever the arrogant one." Hiccup chuckled
"You got muscle, me likey." one of the twins said as they looked me over
"Hey babe if you marry me right now, I can make sure uncle Stoick protects you." Snotlout said
"I won't be needing protection." Cami said as she linked her arm with Hiccups.
"FINE! I'll find someone else to be my queen." He said
Then he stormed off
"Hey you know you can't have a queen if you're not a king." Hiccup called after him jeeringly
"Shut up fishbone." he replied
"RAAAAGGGGG!" someone shouted from behind me
I turned and saw the same blonde shieldmaiden rushing at me with an axe
I sidestepped her swing and punched her in the face.
She rocked on her heels and then fell backwards onto her butt.
She jumped up and got in my face
"HOLMGANG! In the ring before your execution." she shouted.
"Ooh. yah might wanna put some ice on that." I said mockingly as her cheek turned purple
She punched me in the chest. I didnt move.
She punched me again.
And again I didn't flinch
Then she tried kicking me
I grabbed her foot and pushed it backwards causing her to lose her already shaky balance
She fell over again.
"Three strikes. Yer out." I sneered
She got up and stormed off without a word
"There's a 63% chance that Thuggory will win the holmgang." Fishlegs blurted
"That information is wrong." I said calmly
"Oh! I didn't know you were a mathematician." he said excitedly
"It's a 100% chance." I said grinning
"Ooh he's confident as well." the twin cheered
"You do realise he's gonna be executed soon." the other twin said
"There's a 50% chance either statue will be struck." Fishlegs said to no one in particular
"We'll go help set up camp." Hiccup said
Then him and Cami started to walk away.
"Wait, I'll come too." I called after them.
I ran to catch up with them
"Couldn't wait to get away from Ruffnut could you?" Hiccup asked jokingly once I caught up with them
"No man, she is creepy." I replied with a shudder
(the next morning)
I woke up to the sound of birds.
I yawned and stretched.
And started to get dressed
"Hey Thuggory are you changing?" Ruffnut's voice asked
"Yes. so stay. Out." I replied firmly
"Aawww." she whined
I finished getting dressed and opened the flap to my tent
Right in front of it was Ruffnut.
"Please get out of my way."
"I want you to go through me." she said bluntly
"You do realise that 'through' implies that I come out the other side right?" I asked
"All the better." she said sultrily
"Leave me alone or you won't look pretty enough for even Snotlout to like you." I threatened
She quickly ran off.
I saw Hiccup and Cami eating breakfast so I approached them.
"I saw Ruff outside your tent." Cami said leadingly
"Yeah I scared her off, hopefully for good." I said
Then a raven haired girl approached us shyly as we ate
"Umm… hi." she said
"Hello." Hiccup said
"Hi." I said
"Good morning." Cami said
"I've seen how you guys deal with people… especially those that won't stop bothering you."
"Like Snotlout?" Cami asked
"Don't forget about Ruffnut!" Hiccup said teasingly
"C'mon man!" I complained
"Yeah specifically Snotlout…" she said
"What I do is just make them feel worse about themselves, eventually they'll feel like they aren't worthy of you." Cami said
"Or you aren't worth my effort!" Snotlout shouted
He stormed up to us
"But her. She is." He continued gesturing at the raven haired girl
"You do realise the more you follow her around, the less she's gonna like you." Hiccup pointed out
"Shut up Useless." Snotlout shouted
Hiccup just shrugged nonchalantly and sat on a log
Astrid walked up with her axe in hand and stood in front of me
we both had stern expressions on our faces and seemed to be having a staring contest
Neither of us blinked for at least 30 seconds.
Then I grinned and raised my fingers in front of Astrid's face and snapped them.
The small sound made her lose her concentration and blink.
She seemed to have realised she had not been paying attention to me like I said to.
She turned and stomped away.
Then a horn blew.
Everyone turned to see Stoick with a horn to his mouth.
When he finished blowing he pointed at the sky
We saw a lot of large dark clouds; The storm was here!
The Hooligans all gathered around their statue and the Bog Burglars gathered around ours. Everyone kept a big distance between both statues,
Everyone except Snotlout.
"I'm sure that Thor will strike ours, I'm so sure that I'm gonna stand right in front of the Bog Burglars offering!" He crowed
Snotlout stepped out of the crowd of Hooligans and stood on the base of our statue.
We saw the flashes of lightning around us accompanied by the booming of the Thunder
"Thor must be angry today." Stoick mumbled
"With who?" Alvin mused
Then the wind picked up a lot!
Hiccup was knocked over.
Cami couldn't see anything on account of her hair but I stood there firm as I watched a bunch of other people be blown about.
Stoick stood beside me, we both watched the two statues, they were heavy enough that they weren't blown away.
Snotlout was struggling to stand by the statue so he grabbed it and hung on to it by hugging it.
Then the lightning struck!
The lightning danced down Thor's hammer and into his arm and jumped between the horns of the helmet, the lightning jumped down his body and then through Snotlout's arms down through his body and into his legs and then the ground where it dissipated.
Stoick and myself were open mouthed.
Snotlout was unconscious.
Cami was helping Hiccup up.
And Bertha was shocked.
Stoick stepped forward and dragged the unconscious Snotlout away from the statue
And as fast as it started it ended, the wind bushed the clouds away from the encampment and the storm died down.
"Looks like it's over then." Alvin said
"!ton sti on" Snotlout mumbled after waking up (1)
Everyone looked at him like he was insane, which he was.
"!Detucexe eb ot sdeen puccih" he said angrily (2)
Hiccup leaned towards me and whispered
"I'm good at learning languages and I don't even know what he's saying."
"He's finally lost it." I said
"On the contrary Muscles, he is speaking backwards." Ruffnut said
"See he can't understand what we are saying, but if we speak backwards he will." Tuff said excitedly
"?Dirtsa no hsurc a evah uoy od" Tuff said in a baby voice to Snotlout (3)
"!pu tuhS" (4)
"He says he has a crush on Astrid." Ruff said
"!On ?tahw" he said in fear (5)
"Hold up." Tuff said
"It seems it's not Astrid but someone else…"
"?rehtaeh no hsurc a evah uoy od" Tuff asked (6)
Snotlout glanced at the black haired girl from before.
".sey" he said sheepishly (7)
"Say what?" Tuff asked
"You idiot he said yes." Ruff said smacking him in the back of the head
Then the two twins got into a fight, shoving their helmets into each other.
"Enough!" Stoick shouted
Everyone went quiet
"Astrid has called a holmgang at the ring." he said
I stepped forward and stood before Stoick
"I'm ready." I said
Astrid stepped forward as well
"I'm ready." she said
We both faced Stoick
"You know we don't need a ring to fight." she said
"Right here right now?" I asked
"Right here. Right now." she confirmed
We both took several steps away from each other.
We turned and faced each other.
Everyone cleared the area around us.
I gestured to the ground between us
"Watch out for roots and stones, don't want you to trip." I said mockingly
"Watch your mouth." she said
"Sorry mom!" I whined
Astrid charged at me
She unsheathed her axe as she approached.
"Oh no are you gonna put me on timeout?" I asked mock fearfully as I sidestepped her
"No I'm gonna spank you!" she shouted whirling back around
She charged at me again
This time I ducked under her swing and pushed her legs backwards which made her fall face forward.
She looked up and spat the dirt out of her mouth.
"Stop pushing me around." she spat at me
"Like you pushed Hiccup around?" I asked judgmentally
Her eyes widened a little
I backed up so she could stand, she stood up and we began circling each other.
"Let me guess he told you a sob story of his time on Berk?" she asked sharply
"No, actually. I guessed based on his personality and his quirks."
"You keep talking…" she breathed as she rushed at me once again with her axe
She swung to severe my legs from my torso
I jumped over the axe and when I came back down I landed on the flat part of the axe.
Astrid lost her grip on the weapon and it landed in the mud with me still standing on it.
Her mouth opened like a fish but she quickly recovered herself and pulled a dagger out of her boot
She made fast unaimed swings at me. I used the armour on my forearms to block the blade and her arm.
This continued for several minutes till she got tired.
I pulled one of my hatchets out of the sheath and placed it on her stomach to signify that I won.
"No!" she yelled as she continued to try and attack me with the dagur she held.
She held the blade in her right hand and she was tired so she wasn't holding it very firmly
"You want till first blood?" I asked
"It will be yours!" she said savagely
I grabbed her right arm with my left and wrenched the blade from her hand with my right. I quickly arranged it till I was holding it properly then I jabbed it into her armour at her stomach where I had held my axe just moments before.
I let go of the blade and left it in her armour barely piercing the skin beneath.
I stepped back and left her there as I returned to Hiccup and Cami
"Whoo Muscles!" Ruffnut cheered
I whirled on her
"If you do anything without my consent I will do more to you then I did her, A lot more." I said threateningly
She stepped back away from me fearfully
"Nice." Cami said
Stoick approached
"Son…" he said then lost his voice
Before he got his voice back and continued speaking Hiccup held his hand up to stop him
"Dad, we are both stressed, now isn't the best time." Hiccup said
Stoick looked like he was gonna argue but then closed his mouth, then opened it again saying something different then what he was going to
"You're right… but soon right?" he asked hopefully
"If you're asking if Hiccup will be going back to Berk soon, I'm pretty sure the answer is no." Cami said indignantly
"I know…" Stoick sighed
"We'll be going now." Hiccup said
"!t'now uoy on" Snotlout shouted (8)
We all turned towards him
He had the entire group of Hooligans there except for Stoick and Fishlegs
Other than those two everyone had weapons.
The hooligans outnumbered us 3-1
We would not leave this island, whether it was an official execution or not.
