After Marie had rescued Percy, everyone was getting ready to travel. While Marie was getting her stuff together, she caught her toe on the doorframe. "FFFFFFFFFFLIIIIIIPPP MOTHERRRRRR PLEASE SAVE ME FROM THIS PAIN." She cried, not wanting to curse while hopping around like a bunny. Out of wanting to not feel her toe, she transformed into her wolf form. Nope, still hurt. She was limping as a wolf and almost crashing into stuff. She began to howl a bit after bumping into more stuff that only made the pain feel worse. Percy came into the room. "What's going on here?!" Looking into the room, Marie was tangled in objects and not able to release herself. "Need some help?" Percy teasingly asked, earning a glare from Marie as Sans lost it. She untangled the wolf girl, and Marie saw something absolutely terrifying. A tarantula. Marie lost it and jumped into Percy's arms while barking at it fearfully and to scare it off. What didn't help was that it kept approaching the two, freaking Marie out more. PANIC. That was all she thought at the eight legged creature came at the two aggressively. Percy started to scream while Marie howled with fear. The spider began to chase the two, moving as fast as a severed hand in a horror movie. Percy ran with Marie in her arms as they both were screaming their heads off. Marie howled loudly for help, and lo, Howlingtale Frisk came. She ran up to the spider and stomped on it. "IT'S STILL ALIVE!" Percy screamed as Frisk lifted her leg to find that the spider was still giving chase. Marie howled in a way that sounded like she was talking english, and not in wolf. "THERE'S A SPIDER!" A wild Ink appeared and tried to smash it with his brush, but to no avail. "KILL IT OR SOMETHING!" Percy shouted. "I'M TRYING BUT IT MOVES!" Ink screamed back, and it crawled up his brush to him. Ink frantically waved his brush back and forth to knock it off. He succeeded, but the chaos only grew more as it landed on Marie's fur. Marie spazzed in result and jumped out of Percy's arms to knock it off, but to no avail. She was running around to knock it off, only to bump into Sans. He brushed it off her fur, and stomped it. When he lifted his leg, the spider was still alive and crawling, and as a result, Sans said, "You've forfeited your life privileges." And blasted the spider. IT WAS STILL ALIVE. "What the hell is this, a zombie?!" Sans yelled, and blasted and impaled the spider. His LV increased. "How many people did this spider kill?!" Sans yelled, looking at his LV. Instead of LV 1, it was now LV 10. His HP increased from 1 to 10. Marie gave him a very questioning look, and they returned to packing up. After retuning to her human form, Marie stood up and grabbed her luggage. Copper, Agate, and Amber were coming with them, whether anyone liked it or not. "We want to help you take those..." Agate trailed off, not wanting to offend anyone. Sans chimed in with, "Those things are true monsters. Us monsters aren't really like that, are we?" Agate thought for a moment, and shook her head. She, of course, helped with the sealing of monsters, and knew she was fighting for her people, but the monsters were ten times more compassionate than most humans, and offered mercy. The humans didn't accept it, however. After all that, Agate had a caravan ready. Marie looked in suprise at the large vehicle pulled by horses, and went inside to put her luggage up. But as she walked up to it, Copper shook his head and said, "We can't be lugging that thing around, especially when we're about to basically go to war." Agate gave her brother a crestfallen look, and put away the low-tech RV. They packed different tents, though. Everyone was given a horse to travel on along with the group and carry their things. Marie named hers Hershey, after her chocolate brown coat and black mane. After they set out, they were stopped by a lady in black. "I have business with the Angel." The woman said in a light tone, with a hint of a...snarl? Marie got off, beyond confusion at the woman knowing who, or rather what, she was. She woman took her to a cave with everyone nearby in case something happened. After she and the lady got there, she removed her hood. Marie was suprised to see fluffy brown wolf ears on her head, and beautiful amber eyes with light skin. She was giving Marie a suspicious glare, and asked her something that caught her off guard. "How did you enter the Borderland?" "The what?!" Marie asked, a little louder than she ment to. "The Borderland. It is the land between the living and the dead. How did you?" "I...I think it was because I was DETERMINED to rescue my...girlfriend." After SAVING her, Percy asked Marie if they could be in a romantic relationship, and Marie accepted it, causing a huge fangirling screech from both Alphys and another girl she didn't recognize. "Hmm...so you were extremely DETERMINED to SAVE her, even though you don't have a DETERMINATION SOUL?" "Uh, yeah." She nodded thoughtfully, and turned back to Marie. "I have been studying anomalies in the space time continuum as a former scientist. Ever heard of Dr. Gaster? That's part of the reason I have these." She said, pointing at her ears. At the mention of his name, Marie instantly remembered that he was, in fact, the royal scientist. "My devices picked up a jolt in it, as if a large energy had moved to and from somewhere...otherworldly. But, onto other stuff. I suppose you can turn to a wolf?" Marie nodded anxiously. "That's due to your SOUL being like a wolf. Mysterious, intelligent, the ability to make strong emotional attachments, traits like those." Marie's eyes brimmed with curiosity. "But anyways, my name is Okami." "Marie!" They shook hands, and she said, "I really hope you all don't mind me trailing along? Don't worry, I got my own food and transportation and shelter, but I would like to travel with you guys." Marie thought for a moment, and told her why they were traveling. "That's horrible." She said, shock in her wide amber eyes. After a bit, they emerged from the cave and Marie asked it it was okay for her to join. Everyone agreed, now that they knew she was friendly. They had to stop eventually to camp for the night, and all enjoyed a nice meal around the campfire.
