It was Odion vs lew the duel was starting with Odion having the first turn Zecora was cheering for him loudly.

The former rare hunter played "Temple of kings!" As the temple appeared behind him he smiled, "Now I can use trap cards like spells once a turn! So I use the trap monster Statue of the anguish pattern!" the large level seven trap appeared in defense mode ( def 2500) he then set two cards leaving him with just one in his hand.

Lew drew set a monster and played mystic space typhoon destroying the trap monster only for Tiki curse to pop up and become a monster ( level 4 atk 1800)

the defense duelist rolled his eyes and said " really? I set two cards and play canyon now damage we take form attacking defense mode monsters is doubled!"

Odion drew and lew flipped up compulsory evacuation device returning his trap to his hand only for Odion to use his temple to resummons it "I just wasted my temple I flip up Tiki soul!" his trap became a monster ( atk 1000)

his curse went to attack only for Ordeal of a traveler to flip up and lew held out his one card Odion said, "spell!" lew revealed it as a monster! So curse attack stopped.

but Soul now charged as Odion said, "Monster!" And so soul attacked the face down monster that flipped up to "Stone statue of the Aztecs"

Lew smiled," that's 1000 points of damage place another thanks to his effect and sense that's battle damage canyon doubles it again! That's half your life pointS!" soul jumped back ( odion life points 8000-4000)

Odion growled and said, "My curse still shatters it as it sense it's effect is when another trap battles destroy the other monster!" lew's monster then chattered!

Odion then set a card ending his turn.

Joey blinked and said, 'I don't like that combo! It took away half of his life with no attacks!"

Yugi nodded, As Lew drew and set another monster!

Odion drew and smirked as his held out dust tornado using his temple to destroy ordeal of a travel.

In a moment his curse attacked only for the monster to flip up into golem sentry ( def 1800) so nothing happened.

so then soul went to attack it did not destroy the monster but it triggered curse eftect allowing the first monster to shatter it ( odion life points 4000-2400)

Odion set a card and when lew drew the trap flipped up into strong hold the moving fortress in defense mode ( def 2000)

Lew held out a card and said, "I play brain control I take your curse!" ( lew life points 8000-7200) moments later curse shattered soul ( Odion life points 2400-1600)

he then sacrificed Odion's trap monster to set a monster, " your turn!"

the former hunter drew and smiled, "I send my strong hold to the graveyard to summom Mystic beast serket!" in a moment his monster appeared ( serket atk 2500) in a moment it went to attack the face down making it flip out to guardian sphinx smashing it making the beast glow ( Serket atk 2500-3000)

Lew drew and looked at his only card and held it out " hammer shot and only one monster out!" the large bug was then smashed with a large hammer.

odion growled as he drew and smiled as he used his temple to summon out another Tiki curse ( atk 1800) the tiki then hit Lew with it's staf ( lew life points 7200-5400)

the defensive player drew and said, "you made me attack twice now that's rare and it is a show of your skills I remove form play my three rock monsters to special summon megarock dragon! His attack is one thousand times the number I remove form play so he's three thousand!"

In a moment the large rock roared ( megarock dragon atk 3000) it then smashed the tiki under foot ( Odion life points 1600-400)

Odion drew and used his temple to play shadow spell chaining lew's monster ( mega rock dragon atk 3000-2300)

Yugi sighed, "they both have no hands if Lew draws a monster with 400 or more attack it's over!"

Lew drew and summoned golem sentry in attack mode ( atk 800) he then said, "that's three attacks no one has ever made me attack that many times!" his golem then hit Odion wending the duel in his victory.

Celestia rolled her eyes, "I would hate to see the duelist who can recover form losing half their life points so early so me vs Lew for the title match!"

Lew walked up to Celestia and bowed, "look forward to dueling you then your son" he said so sure of his victory.

the mother crossed her arms and said, "we'll see about that!"

Kaiba smiled as he spoke up, 'Ok join us next time for the final round then the title match who will face Yugi his mother, or the Rock shield! Found out next match!"

he said smirking as people left, he smiled as Odion left with Zecora hand in hand, "well I guess that's a way better prize then a title match!"

Rebecca saw Celestia thinking so she asked, "so what's on your mind Mother muto?"

the former princess looked at her future daughter in law and said, "Lew's deck he has defense but he can switch to attack at the drop of the hat plus we saw his ace card this match Canyon the field gives his defense an edge with double damage! As Odion can attest to if one of his other face downs had been another one of those stone statues he would have lost right away!"

the glasses wearing mare adjusted them, "yes I see what you mean! He will wear you down with stone walls before switching to the hammer no pun intended on the duel we just saw how are you going to beat that?"

Celestia looked through her fusion monsters and pulled out alligator sword dragon, "Normally I would use a fill in monster to fuse baby dragon to summon thousand dragon but his monster look to all be earth attribute rock monsters so this little guy will let me attack around them so I guess my go two would be to use him scapegoats and unite we stand to end it quickly!"

Rebecca crossed her hands, "Not quite!" She said cutting in, " in his first duel I was behind him I saw dummy golem in his hand it's flip effect is it and one of your monsters of his picking change places! He can just take your fusion monster with a flip!"

the alicorn sighed as she said, "well then I'll just have to hope he doesn't draw it in our duel!" she said flat about it as she viewed herself as the only one fit to be her son's final challenge of the journey after all this tournament was about putting this long journey behind them and going back to normal life, it was only fitting she and her son duel once more to end it.

She then spotted her husband and held her hand up, "Honey I'll ask you to kindly find me some cake or something I need thinking food!" the whipped husband left to go find his wife cake.
