Hey guy! It took me a couple days to start writing this after I published my last chapter for Rewritten Dreams. So I apologize for that. Usually I try to start one after the other. I'm terrified my motivation for writing will disappear again so I have to kind of force myself to start each new chapter. Once I get going, I'll finish in no time. It's just taking that first step that I always struggle with.
Also this chapter is gonna have a nice little time jump. The scenes will change quickly, almost like a montage so be aware of that. Each scene wraps up nicely so it should be easy to spot hopefully.
Also I am so sorry for the long delay! I promise I'm not disappearing again. Work has just been super crazy lately and that's where I do a lot of my writing. Then I got sick last week so that delayed it even more. Next chapter is already written so I just need to go through and edit it. It shouldn't take as long as this chapter did hopefully.
Disclaimer: I do not own this.
Chapter Forty-three:
Cassim was super happy to see Genie and I again. We had pleasantly surprised him when we arrived with Kristy. After he greeted my best friend, his fiance, my adopted father hugged me tightly. I hadn't known him long when we split after the Hand of Midas incident, but I truly missed him during our time apart. He seemed to genuinely have missed me as well.
And then he brought up the baby, causing a sullen tension to spread around our group. I had to explain to him what had happened. Genie wrapped his arm around me and held me protectively to his side. I leaned into him, taking comfort in his presence. It really was nice to have my husband by my side again. He kissed the side of my head when I informed my father about the struggle our marriage had gone through. "And that's why we're here. Genie and I both just wanted to get away for a while. We need some time together to reconnect." I finished my explanation.
We were currently sitting in the main living area of the forty thieves hideout. Though it was more like twenty-five thieves now. Most of them had either been arrested due to Saluk ratting us out, or they abandoned ship after the final showdown we had on the back of that turtle. Cassim was building the team back up, but it was clearly a slow process. He had also figured out a way to change the password to enter the lair since the palace guards knew the old one.
"I am sorry for your loss, Kendra and Genie. Losing a child is one of the worst pains a parent can experience. I know I chose to leave Aladdin and my wife all those years ago, but it still hurt me every single day. I'm here for you, should you need anything." My father promised me with a reassuring smile.
"Thanks dad, I appreciate it." I returned with a slight upwards of my lips.
Dinner was served shortly after that, which was fantastic because I was starving. One of the new thieves had been a renowned chef in spain before he ran into some trouble with the King. He had apparently served him a dish that had made the King very sick. He was accused of poisoning and sentenced to death. Luckily for the thief, he'd managed to escape and shortly thereafter, he'd run into Cassim. Thus, the Forty-thieves had gained a new chef.
The food was delicious, better than some of the dishes I had eaten in the palace. We all merrily enjoyed our dinner, each telling stories of our recent adventures. Kristy caught Cassim up on all the fun, and trouble of course, that we'd gotten up to since she arrived at the palace. Then I told him what we'd been up to before that.
As dinner came to a close, I realized that I was completely at ease for the first time since I lost my baby. Don't get me wrong, I was completely over my grief, not by a long shot. However, I truly felt like I was beginning to move on to the next phase of my life.
I felt even more excited when Kristy informed us that she and Cassim had decided to have their wedding in two months. She asked me if I would help her plan it and I immediately agreed. I knew that meant that Genie and I would be staying here for at least those two months, but I was okay with that. One glance at my husband and I knew he was as well. We needed this. It was a new goal to focus on, a happy event to plan with someone with both loved dearly.
Later that night, Genie and I laid in the guest bedroom, both of us wrapped in one another's arms. His hand was trailing up and down my arm while I snuggled into his chest. My eyes were closed, enjoying the closeness of my husband's presence. "Are you truly okay with being here for the next two months?" I whispered, unwilling to break the peace but needing to ask him this question.
Genie's chest rumbled as he laughed softly. "Of course, my love. I'm happy as long as I'm with you." He replied truthfully. I looked up and met his eyes. They twinkled with admiration and happiness. I leaned forward and kissed him softly, which he willingly returned. "I love you." He mumbled against my lips.
I pulled back, but let my forehead rest on his. "I love you too."

The next few weeks passed by far too quickly. I split my time between helping my best friend plan her dream wedding and spending time with my husband. During our time together, Genie and I began to fall in love with one all over again. It was different than before our struggles, more mature. We listened to one another in a way that we hadn't done so before.
Kristy was a hot mess. The wedding wouldn't necessarily be a large affair (most of its guests would be wanted criminals, after all), but she wanted it to be perfect. I could understand that, however. While my wedding had mostly been planned for me, I had wanted everything to go as smoothly as possible. Thankfully nothing too crazy had happened, unlike my brother and Jasmine's wedding.
I tried to help her in any way I could.
Even if that meant spending hours pouring over the smallest details.
"Kendra, do you think I should go with this fabric for the napkins, or this one?" Kristy asked me while holding up two nearly identical creme colored squares. I squinted my eyes and tried to find what difference my friend saw in them, however, I was completely lost.
"Hone, they look exactly the same to me." I told her point blankly.
She shot me an almost evil glare. "Kendra Marie, no they are not! This one has a turned under finish, while this one has a rolled hem finish. I don't know which would look better. I thought you said you were going to help me?" She snapped and threw the napkins onto the table. Then she turned away from me with a huff, crossing her arms as she did so.
"Oh my goodness." I mumbled under my breath before I picked up the two napkins and examined them. "Go with the rolled hem." I informed her while holding out the chosen pattern. "I think it looks better."
Kristy grinned at me and accepted it. "Thanks! But I think I like the turned under one better. Now, which one should we use for the table cloth."
I groaned into my arm.
As much as I 'enjoyed' helping my friend with wedding planning, I almost always preferred the time spent with my husband. He collected me everyday around noon for a picnic on the cliffs outside the hideout. The same cliffs I had to watch Aladdin battle for his life against Saluk. Luckily, we were quickly replacing those memories with better ones. And everyone knew that when we were out there, no one was to interrupt. Nobody wanted to deal with my wrath.
My favorite picnic was probably the third one we had out there. Genie had asked me what I wanted for lunch and I quickly thought about a meal I hadn't had since coming to this dimension. It was something my dad had made for me nearly all the time before he had passed away. It was hamburger patties in brown gravy and mashed potatoes.
"Oh my goodness, Genie, this is incredible." I practically moaned as I scarfed down my meal. "This tastes almost exactly like how my dad had made it. How in the world did you manage it?"
"Oh, you know, us Genies have pretty incredible magic. While my is now semi-phenomenal, I still have a few tricks up my sleeves. And it was the least I could do for my beautiful wife." He winked at me.
I giggled. "You're sweet. Speaking of sweet, the only thing that could possibly top this is a couple scoops of-"
"Mint chocolate chip ice cream?"
Genie pulled out a tub of my all time favorite ice cream out of his picnic basket and my heart practically melted at the sight. I hadn't had mint chocolate chip ice cream for so long but it had always held a special place in my heart. My dad had once told me it was my moms favorite flavor and I'd been absolutely delighted when I discovered I loved it too. Unfortunately it just didn't seem to exist in this dimension, at least I'd never run into it.
I knew I had told Genie once before about how much I loved it, but it had been before we'd even gotten married. I couldn't believe he had remembered after all this time. "Genie, I-" My voice broke as tears began to make steady trails down my cheeks. They weren't necessarily tears of sadness, but they weren't happy tears either. Rather it was a strange combination of the two.
Genie seemed to understand. His eyes softened as he set the tub down and pulled me into his arms. I cried for what I had lost in my dimension, namely my parents. I also cried for what I had gained by coming here. I had a brother and sister who were the best friends I could ever wish for. I also had my best friend from basically my birth with me. Then there were my two amazing father figures, one a Sultan of great importance and the other the King of thieves. Both of them are so different in many ways but the same in others. And then, of course, my amazing husband. He brightened my world in a way I had never known I needed. He could make me laugh when I needed it but he could also hold me when all I could do was cry. He loved me with everything in him, just as I did him. My life had changed for the better when I was whisked away to this dimension and I would go through all the heartache I'd ever experienced if it meant I could end up here with him again.
"Can I tell you something crazy?" Genie asked me when my tears began to slow. I just nodded, not trusting my ability to speak in that moment. "After that night-" The way he winced, he didn't have to specify which night he was talking about, I knew instantly. "- I had never felt so lost in my entire existence. I was sure I had lost you forever and I just wasn't sure how to deal with that pain. I was angry.
Then I remembered what the oracle had said. She told us that we would be happy together, with our beautiful baby girl. When you had asked your question, you simply asked if you were pregnant and she answered yes. We both figured that the baby you were pregnant with was that little girl. However-"
"The baby had been a boy." I spoke up in realization. While I'd always known the baby wasn't the gender the oracle had said we would have, I had been too lost in my grief to even comprehend what that could mean.
Genie nodded and continued, "So that got me thinking, the oracle is never wrong. We were meant to be happy with a baby girl, but you had born a son. So maybe there was still a chance of a future between us. I needed to know for sure so I went to the royal treasure vault and found her staff. When she came out, I asked her if you and I would ever be able to get past this rift we had created between one another.
She had looked almost amused by my question. Then she said that we would make up sooner than I realized and to have hope, me and you would get our happy ending with our baby girl. It was the following day that I had found you by the fountain. Her words are what gave me the courage to finally approach you."
"Wow." I smiled brightly at my husband. "I'm really, really glad you did. I was going to leave with Kristy later that night and I wasn't sure when, or even if, I would be back. All I knew was that I needed to get away."
Genie lightly squeezed me against his side. "I'm glad you hadn't left yet." He kissed the side of my head. Then he paused and a serious look came over his features. "Would you consider trying for another baby? I know it's much too soon, but perhaps someday we could try again?" He asked me gently.
My breathing stopped. For a moment, my mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each one more conflicted than the other. I wanted a baby, more than anything in this world I wanted to be a mother. However, there was a deep rooted fear in my chest, and this caused me to be hesitant. All I could wonder is what if we tried for another baby, and we lost them just as we had the first. I wasn't sure if I could handle going through that again and I worried about the strain it could cause on our marriage. What if, instead of just bending the foundation of our relationship, losing another child completely shattered it?
Genie waited patiently for me to gather myself and sort through my thoughts. Finally, I took a gulp of air and looked into my husband's eyes. "I want to have another baby with you, however, I'm just not ready to try again just yet. Let's just focus on us for a while, okay?"
"I can definitely do that." He winked. "Now then! There is a perfectly good tub of mint chocolate chip ice cream to enjoy!" I laughed as he released me to grab our frozen dessert. A spoon manifested in my fist and the two of us enjoyed our minty treat.
We'd nearly been there a month when I realized something crucial. I'd been with Kristy, going over more wedding details, when it hit me. She was asking me something about the flowers while we walked through a little underground greenhouse Genie had created for us. It got me thinking about my bouquet and how lovely it had looked with my wedding dress.
Thinking about my dress had me also thinking about the day itself. My wedding had been truly magical, and not just because I was marrying a Genie. Despite being smack dab in the middle of summer, it had been a pleasantly warm day.
Speaking of the middle of summer, wasn't that what it was now? It was hard to keep track of seasons when it was basically hot year round. That and calendars weren't really a thing. They existed of course, but no one here used them very much. Still though, if it was summer time, that meant...
I gasped, freezing in place. Kristy took a few steps more before she realized I was no longer directly behind her. "Kendra, are you alright?" She asked me, concerned.
"Kristy, what's today's date?" I asked her. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, but she answered, saying it was June twenty-ninth. I sighed in relief, I hadn't missed it. "Genie and I's first wedding anniversary is in six days. I have to figure out what to do for it. I've been so distracted with all the bad that's happened that past several months. I want to do something special for him."
My friends giggled and threw one of her arms around my neck. "I guarantee you Genie already has a romantic dinner planned. However, we can make sure you look good, so he'll want to skip dinner and go straight to the dessert." Kristy winked at me.
"What do you have in mind?"

Kristy was literally a miracle worker. I don't know how she did it, but somehow in the six days leading up to my wedding anniversary, she'd been able to create a gorgeous dress. I was practically drooling when she first revealed it to me.
It was layered with a white polyester silk slip that had spaghetti straps and stopped just before my knees; topped with a white cotton lace pattern fabric that went below my knees and sleeves that stretched to my elbows. It had a boat line neck and a zipper closure. When I tried it on, the dress hugged my curves. My skin, tanned from my years of living in the desert, complimented the white fabric. Kristy helped me curl my long black tresses, thanks to the wireless curler Genie had conjured for us a few months back. My hair had grown out significantly since coming to this universe. It now reached down to my waist. I usually wore it braided or pulled back, but sometimes I liked having it down.
I slipped into a pair of black silk flats while Kristy admiredher handiwork. "Damn girl, I made you look amazing." She wiggled her eyebrows at me. I giggled, immediately agreeing with her. "If Genie doesn't fall at your feet when he sees you, then we got a problem."
This time I outright laughed. "Thanks Kristy. It's kind of nice getting all dressed up. It's been so long since I've done something like this. It's refreshing."
I stepped in front of her mirror so that I could do my makeup. The stuff was slightly different than what we had back home so we had asked Genie for the make up we were used to. I thanked my lucky stars for my magical husband. It was nice that we were able to get these luxury items that weren't available in the time period.
"There. It's perfect." I grinned when I finished. I only put on enough makeup to sort of highlight my features. It was simple, but very pretty. "I think I'm ready."
Before Kristy could reply, there was a knock on her bedroom door. The two of us shared a look and giggled. She gestured for me to go open it. I approached it, feeling slightly nervous but excited to see my husband's reaction. I opened the door and stepped back.
Genie stood there, a dozen roses in one hand and a long box that was tied with a sparkly blue ribbon. He wore a black tuxedo suit and top hat, complete with a bow tied around his neck and fancy black leather shoes. I definitely thought he looked very, very handsome. And by the way he was staring slack jawed at me, I knew he was just as impressed with me as I was him.
"Wow, Kendra, you look so beautiful." Genie informed me once he was able to gather his wits once more. He handed me the roses and I accepted them happily. They smelled amazing. "Happy anniversary, my love."
"Thank you, Genie. You look very handsome." I winked at him. "Happy anniversary."
Kristy came up beside me. "Do you want me to put those in water while you guys are out?" She asked me. I nodded and thanked her as I passed the roses to my friend. She then gently pushed me out the door. "Have fun, you crazy kids." Kristy giggled as she shut the door.
"Shall we?" My husband offered his arm. I accepted it with a bright smile. "We shall."
He led me back to the bed room we'd been staying in. However, when he opened the door, the guest room had been converted into a fancy restaurant setting, with several clothed tables and chairs. There was only one actually set up however. It had a single candle, nestled in a gold holder and surrounded by rose petals, in the middle of the table that was lit. There was a crystal chandelier above it that provided a dim light.
"Wow, impressive." I admired the room with awe. Genie grinned at me before leading me to the table. He released my arm so that he could pull the chair out. I sat down and he gently pushed the chair in before taking a seat across from me.
The moment he did, a second Genie appeared, dressed as a waiter and holding a notepad and pen. "Thank you for dining with us today, my name is Harold and I'll be your waiter today." I couldn't help but giggle. "Can I get you something to drink to start out with?"
"We'll take a bottle of your finest red wine please." Genie ordered, shooting me a sly wink after he did so. I chuckled in amusement.
"Right away sir."
Waiter Genie walked away and the two of us burst into laughter. ""Harold?" I asked my husband with a raised eyebrow. Genie shrugged, though his eyes sparkled with mirth. "You are something else, hun. But I love you so much for it."
His cheeks reddened slightly and his face grew more serious, though still gentle with love. "I love you very much Kendra. I know it was rough the past couple months, but I'm really glad I met you. Marrying you was the best decision I ever made." He told me with such confidence that there was no way I could not believe him.
"I feel the same way Genie. Coming to this universe was a dream come true. Meeting Aladdin and becoming his sister was amazing, but it didn't feel like home until I fell in love with you. You're my everything." I replied, blushing just as he had done so.
Our "waiter" appeared once more with the wine. Genie ordered us two of the house specials, which turned out to be chicken fettuccini alfredo with roasted broccoli. This was another one of my favourite meals. Genie was so good at spoiling and surprising me. The meal was absolutely delicious. We ended up skipping dessert.
It was a wonderful night.

On the day of the wedding, I woke up feeling excited for my best friend. We'd been planning this day for the past two months and it was finally here. I was currently in her room, helping Kristy get ready for her big day.
"So are you nervous yet?" I asked her with a grin.
Kristy rolled her eyes, which nearly messed up her makeup since I was putting on eyeliner. "I've been married before, remember?" She teased. I blanched. Her ex husband had nearly killed me once upon a time ago so really, I don't think he counted. "Besides, I love Cassim. I've wanted to marry him since the moment I first laid eyes on him."
I giggled. "Aw, my best friend and adopted father. It would be so cute if it wasn't just slightly weird."
Kristy laughed. "It's not my fault you decided to adopt him as a father. Beside's, you're not blood so I don't think it's a problem." She stuck her tongue out at me. I shook my head, but couldn't stop the amused smile from forming. "See, you love us together."
"Of course I do." I huffed before setting down the make up brush. "I want nothing but happiness for both of you. Now stand up and tell me what you think."
She did as I said. The dress was one she had made herself. It slightly resembled the one I work on my wedding day, however it had more of a flowing skirt. She had thrown her hair up into an elegant bun and she wore a crown of white lilies. Her make up was light, but perfectly accented her features. "Damn, you made me look good." Kristy grinned.
"What are best friends for." I snorted. "Now come on, let's get you married."
The ceremony was short, but very beautiful. All of the thieves dressed in their Sundays best. I was disappointed that Aladdin couldn't make it, but I knew he was tied up with his newborn daughter, Maya. Genie had flown back to Agrabah a few days before the wedding to invite him and Jasmine to the wedding, however neither of them were up to traveling. It was understandable, of course.
I looked forward to meeting my niece soon. Genie and I were going home to Agrabah after the wedding party. Cassim and Kristy were going on a honeymoon so there was no reason for us to stick around. Plus we were both home sick and missed our family.
Once they officially said I do, the wedding party moved to the dining room. It had been set up for the reception and decorated with white and gold. We had roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and bread for dinner. And finally, at the end of the night, all the tables were pushed back to create a dance floor.
We danced the night away.
By time the dawn came, we were all exhausted but perfectly content. Kristy and Cassim left shortly after the music stopped. I hugged my best friend before she went and made her promise to come visit once the honeymoon was over. Finally it was time for Genie and I to leave. Neither of us had slept a wink, but we were ready to get home. So Genie decided the best course was to teleport. He picked me up bridal style and we disappeared.
XxRebelWriterxX
We appeared in the throne room. It was empty, much to our surprise. There was usually always someone in here, the guards were stationed here twenty-four seven.
Genie sat me gently on the ground. "I wonder where everyone is." I pondered out loud. That wasn't the only thing out of place. There was also a random barrel sitting in the middle of the room. I approached it cautiously. "And what in the world is this."
"Only one way to find out!" Genie grinned at me before removing the lid. The doors to the throne room burst open and I looked up in time to see Aladdin come running at us. "Genie, Kendra! No!" He shouted, much to my confusion. However, I felt something tickle my hand. When I looked down, it was covered in some kind of black sand goop.
"What the f-" I started to say before it covered me completely and I felt myself being pulled somewhere. I had the brief sensation of being pulled upwards before I heard a pop. I hadn't realized I had closed my eyes. I opened them, blinking and looked around in confusion. Genie was sitting next to me but he wasn't the only other person here. The missing guards were there, including Rasoul. Jasmine was also standing near me, clutching a small bundle in her arm. "Oh my gosh, Jasmine!" I gasped and threw myself into a standing position so I could run over to her.
"Kendra! I'm so happy to see you again!" She cried out. I hugged her gently, mindful of the baby. "I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too Jas." I sniffed and pulled away from her. Then my eyes met little Maya's and my heart melted. "Oh, she's so beautiful." I whispered in awe. She really was the prettiest baby girl I'd ever seen and I was thankful I didn't feel any resentment towards her or my sister-in-law. Instead, I was just so happy for them and felt so much love and pride.
Jasmine offered her to me and I gently took my niece into my arms. Maya blinked up at me curiously. "Hello little one, I'm your auntie Kendra. I love you very much, just as I do your parents. I promise to always protect you from harm." I whispered to the little girl.
I could have sworn she smiled at me.
After another minute, I carefully handed her to Genie. "So any ideas as to where we are and how we got here?" I asked Jasmine as my husband cooed over the newest addition to our family. It was really sweet to witness and I longed to see him with our own little one. I think Genie was meant to be a father and I hope I would soon be strong enough to give that gift to him.
"I know it has something to do with Mozenrath. My guess is he used some kind of dark magic to bring us here." Jasmine explained.
At the mention of Mozenraths name, Genie and I both stiffened. A feeling of intense anger and hatred went through me. One glance at my husband and I knew he felt the same way. "I'm going to kill him." I hissed darkly. "Genie I need something sharp and painful. Maybe I can stab him just right and he'll bleed out slowly."
Jasmine frowned in concern. Genie handed her Maya once more before he embraced me with a much needed hug. "As much as I'd like to see that creep pay for what he did to us, you know you could never kill him. That's just not who you are."
Genie was right, of course, but that didn't mean I liked it.
"Don't worry guy, Aladdin will come for us." Jasmine assured us. I nodded in agreement, there was no doubt in my mind that Aladdin would do anything to save Jasmine and his newborn daughter. I opened my mouth to talk to her when the Sultan suddenly fell from the sky and landed between Jasmine and I. "Father!" She cried out while Genie and I helped him stand up. "Are you alright?"
"Yes, yes, I'm quite alright." The Sultan assured his daughter. He frowned up at the sky. "I'd like to give that Mozenrath fellow a piece of my mind, however." He practically growled, shaking his fist up.
"You and me both." I grumbled and crossed my arms. Then I hugged the Sultan in greeting. We all conversed quietly for the next five minutes. There wasn't much we could do but wait and hope something happened soon. We all seemed to be sinking into the black sand, which was quite worrisome. "This place is so strange." I remarked with a scowl. Genie decided to go dive into the sand goop to see if there was any way to escape down instead of up.
Rasoul tried to free his leg, but was unsuccessful. "Some royal guardsman I am. Tricked by a flying, simpleton eel!" He grumbled to himself, though we all heard it. Jasmine tried to assure him that it couldn't be helped because we hadn't known Mozenrath was up to something.
The sand beside us began to bubble and Genie appeared once more, dressed in diving gear. "Here's the plan: we get out the same way we got in!" He suggested and I knew he hadn't found anything. Which he confirmed there was nothing but tons of goop. The Sultan sighed in despair, he was worried about his kingdom and people under Mozenrath's evil rule. "Don't worry- there's hope while Al's out there stopping mamluks!" Genie reminded him.
A large bubble appeared suddenly and, when it burst, Aladdin appeared. Jasmine and I called his name and I quickly threw my arms around my brother's neck. He returned the hug while simultaneously asking how we got out of there. "So much for our hope." Hakim muttered.
"Don't worry. There's still Carpet, Abu and Iago!" Genie tried to remain positive but he quickly deflated when another bubble appeared. This time it was Carpet who popped out. "Oh, let's face it: we're doomed." He sighed dramatically. However he perked up when Carpet reached down and pulled out a rope. He grinned and kissed Carpet. "I think that I shall never hug a friend I love more than this rug!" He hugged Carpet, but got stuck to him with some of the goop. "Ah ... a little help?"
As soon as he was free, we were all pushed into an elevator that was somehow bigger on the inside. It gave me some serious Dr Who vibes, so I was pretty amused by that. The next thing I knew, we were back in the throne room. "Next floor: evil wizards, wacky slug fest and happy endings. Everybody off." Genie was saying as we all exited the elevator at a run.
The next thing I knew, I was in a battle with the Mamluks. I attacked them with a vengeance, using all the anger I had at Mozenrath to fuel me in this fight. I was ruthless as I took them down. It wasn't a very long fight. Soon enough, all the mamluks were dismembered and Mozenrath was hanging off the edge of a window. "Take my hand." Aladdin offered him, much to my annoyance. My brother was way too good. If it was me, I'd let the asshole fall.
"I'd much rather take your life!" Mozenrath growls. However, he slipped and fell. I heard him yell my brother's name but I was too far away to see what actually happened to him. I joined my brother's side in time to see Xerxes spit out pieces of black cloth.
"Hmph. We'll return, Aladdin! We'll return! Don't think we won't! We will return!" The eel warned. However, before he could say anything more, a safe falls on him, sending him into a pool of sand. My guess is that's where Mozenrath went.
"I had a spare safe lying around. What was I to do with it?" Genie shrugged and I laughed in amusement.
Aladdin rushed to Jasmine's side then. The two of them embraced before they checked over their little girl. I gave them a moment together before I joined them. "She really is beautiful guys, congratulations. I'm positive she's already wrapped around my and Genie's fingers." I smiled lovingly at my niece.
"This little princess has everyone in the palm of her tiny hand." Jasmine giggled. "Even Rasoul, though he'd never admit to it."
Coming back to Agrabah truly was like coming back home. Everyone else joined our circle while Jasmine and Aladdin caught us up on everything we'd missed in the last two months. Turns out they had completely forgotten their anniversary because they'd been so busy with the baby. I promised them to look after little Maya one day soon so they could go celebrate.
All in all, everything just seemed perfect. Maya was a great little addition to our family. However I could help but feel like something was missing. One look at Genie and I knew he felt the same. The loss of our child would forever affect us but perhaps it was time to move forward with our lives.
Perhaps having another baby was the right way to go after all.
And that's that! Another chapter done! I actually went through and created a timeline for Kendra's arrival and series of events in Agrabah. I started from my Christmas one shot, luckily that was the only thing with an actual date, that I can remember at least. If you want me to post that, let me know in a review and I'll put it in the next chapter. That one is already prewritten so I'm hoping it won't take as long to do as this one had.
I apologize for the shorter chapter. I really didn't want to do the full wedding scene. I know I didn't touch base on the episode much either. Honestly I was kinda irritated with this episode/chapter because I had already written it but had somehow lost it. So I tried to get through it quickly. Hopefully the off episode stuff I wrote makes up for it.
Anyways see y'all next chapter!
