Flashback...

How did things get this way? Why would Sasuke leave the village? Why would he just abandon the people who cared deeply about? It doesn't make sense.

Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, and Neji all stood in front of the gates of Konoha, ready to leave and retrieve Sasuke.

Sakura stood behind them, she wasn't allowed to go, however, especially since last night she tried to convince Sasuke to stay but it didn't work... even when she was crying her eyes out.

"Naruto.." She started, she began to cry thinking about how Sasuke left them and how she wouldn't be able to live a life without him.

"This is a once in a lifetime request.." She said crying more as Naruto looked at her. "Please bring Sasuke-kun back!" She cried and Naruto frowned.

It broke his heart every time he saw Sakura feeling bad or crying. He wish he could hug her and make her feel safe in his arms, but he felt like the only person she would be comfortable doing that with is Sasuke.

He looks up and smiles brightly at her. "You care so much for Sasuke." He says looking up at her. "And I know what you're going through right now is tough, Sakura-chan..."

Sakura was still questioning how Naruto can still keep a bright smile on his face even after Sasuke had left. It's like he always confident with everything he says. She also began to have high hopes as well.

She looked up at the blonde, still crying, she tried to wipe her tears away as she looked at Naruto and he held out a thumbs up.

"I swear on my life to bring back Sasuke!"

Flashback End..

Sakura stood there completely frozen. She couldn't believe it, her eyes were wide and her fingers were twitching just looking in front of her.

Hinata was also shocked, more shocked than she had ever been. She, too, stood there frozen and felt like she was seeing an illusion right now.

The rest behind them looked shocked as well. Ino gasped as she covered her mouth, Shino actually looked shock more than ever, as for the rest... their brains were starting to fail them.

Sakura had a shocked expression, her mouth was open and she felt completely lost.

"Sakura-san... t- that's..." Hinata trailed off.

"Na... ru... to.." Sakura stuttered. A tear went down her cheek. "Naruto!" She repeated.

And there he stood...

The boy who would put smiles on their faces. The boy who they thought died long ago. The boy who has been killing every Akatsuki member.

Tsunade gasped, not only was she shocked, but she was terrified. All those killings of the Akatsuki, that was him?

Indeed she was more shocked then ever. She was the one who had to give a speech at his "funeral." She was also the one who had to watch alongside others as his casket was lowered into the ground.

Just then, Tsunade's world began to spin, everything was turning upside down for her. She tried to keep her eyes opened.

"Tsunade, t- that can't be..." Ino trailed off in shock.

Tsunade lets a tear go down her cheek. Her grandson is alive, not dead, alive. "N- Naru..." She tried to say but she began to feel dizzy.

"He's... alive..."

She passed out right there, still breathing but, exhaustion got the best of her.

They watched as he removed his hand from his face. It didn't take him long to notice everyone's reactions.

Naruto's POV

"N- Naruto...? I- is it really... you?" Sasuke said in disbelief.

Naruto narrowed his eyes towards the boy. He remained silent, ignoring the question before turning his attention back to Pein.

"That's enough hiding from the world Naruto." Pein told him.

Naruto chuckled a bit as he puts his sword away. "Yeah, I guess it is." He responded. "But I don't give a damn about these people one bit. I'm here for one thing only.."

Pein narrowed his eyes. Sasuke got back up, still in shock. He kept telling himself that this is a ghost, but no matter how many times he repeated it in his head it wasn't true.

"Naruto-"

"Shut up." Naruto interrupted, his attention still on Pein.

Kurama, we're doing it..

All right then kit, but remember, I only got limited time..

We'll make it quick.

"I was planning on saving this for Tobi, but you're certainly strong, not to mention teme made this harder.." Naruto said to Pein.

A bright yellow aura began to shine around Naruto. The ground shook which almost made Sasuke lose his balance as Pein watched in interest, and a bit of shock.

Everyone began to feel the enormous amount of chakra coming from the crater. It was powerful and probably greater than the five kages combined.

Naruto began to turn a bright yellow, his entire body lit up as black designs began to spread throughout his body, his cloak was black on this inside and his whiskers became thicker.

If that wasn't enough to shock Pein and the rest, there was something more. Naruto opened his eyes to reveal his eyes were slitted in the middle of the pupils again.

Just then, something huge stood over Naruto, completely shocking Sasuke and even Pein. It was the Nine-Tails, though it wasn't the actual body of the Kyuubi, it was an exact replica of it and it even had black lines all throughout his body.

Kurama lets out a loud roar at Pein as Naruto chuckled. "So, where did we leave off? Oh yeah..."

In a swift moment, Kurama charged at the other Pein body and let out another roar before bringing down an instant kill punch that he could not dodge.

He's fast

Naruto looked over at Pein. The last one remaining is him, he stood there with a stoic expression. "Do you hate me? After killing your sensei?" He asked.

Naruto growled. How the hell can he even ask that?

"You really think killing me will bring him back?! He's dead and never coming back! You couldn't save him!!" Pein yelled.

"SHUT THE HELL UP!!!" Naruto yelled as Kurama tried to bring down another punch but Pein jumped out the way.

Pein then began to run away from Naruto which seemed to piss the blonde off even more as he turned around quickly and chases after him.

"No you don't!!"

"Wait!! Naruto!!" Sasuke tried to call out.

But it was too late, Naruto ignored him and continued to execute his plan.

Sasuke's POV

Damn it!

"Sasuke!" He heard a voice call out. He turned to see Sakura, Hinata, and Kiba running towards him.

"S- Sasuke-kun... N- Naru-"

"I know.." He told Hinata as he stood up tall.

They all watched at the yellow glow got farther and farther away in a matter of seconds. "We're going after them, right?" Kiba says.

"Of course, Naruto's our friend... once we help him finish this, he's coming back to us." Sakura responds.

"Hinata and Kiba, you're both gonna be useful for this considering one of you has the Byakugan and the other has a good sense of smell.." Sasuke told them.

"Lets get going quick before its too late!" Hinata told them and Sasuke nodded.

They all ran out from the crater before they jumped in sync in the trees towards the direction Naruto had went.

Naruto's POV

"Pein!!" Naruto yelled.

Kit, I only got about five minutes left.

Then lets make this quick then..

Naruto finally began gaining up on Pein as the Rinnegan user began going down the mountain. In just a matter of a minute, they managed to get a lot of distance from the village.

Naruto and Kurama jumped down the mountain to catch up to the enemy. "Shinra Tensei!" Pein said.

He used is again but to his surprise, it just felt like a gentle breeze blew against Naruto and his Kyuubi mode.

He withstood Shina Tensei?!

Naruto yelled as a punch came crashing down against Pein's face, the punch knocked the man straight down into the ground as Naruto landed over him.

"Die!!"

Naruto tried to end it here but Pein recovered quick as he clasped both his hands together, making a simple hand sign.

"Banshou Ten'in!!"

Naruto gasped a bit as Pein used some sort of strong force to take a huge broken rock out from the mountain and brought it down on Naruto as Pein jumped out the way quick.

But Pein didn't stop there, he knew it was going to take a lot to bring down Naruto, especially with this new power he's obtained.

"Chibaku Tensei!"

Something was shown in the sky, hovering over the sun as the sky shined bright once again. Naruto recovered before he felt the ground suddenly shake. Cracks began to form against the dirt ground before huge chunks of rocks began to come out the ground.

Naruto and Kurama also began rising from the ground as the rock began to bring them to the sky as well. Naruto tried desperately to jump from there but the moment he didn't, Pein sent more rocks towards him as it covered both him and Kurama up completely.

Kuso! Kurama!

I know! I only got about two more minutes kit!

Naruto growled in frustration, he tried to break out of the rocks but it seemed like more force was applied from Pein than usual.

They were then brought up into the huge rock that was about the size of the moon and they felt completely stuck there.

Naruto and Kurama both tried to move but it like's they were being held down completely as more huge rocks began covering them.

It was silence for a few seconds as Pein caught his breath. "Kyuubi's been captured..." He told himself as he looked up in the sky.

Sasuke's POV

Sasuke and the rest began to notice the big, moon shaped, rock in the sky completely covering the sun as well. They all grew more worried, they knew Naruto couldn't do this alone... but then again, he took down all the Pein bodies alone.

"Naruto is close, Sasuke! I can sense him!" Kiba told him.

Sasuke nodded, he looked over to see Sakura frowning... a tear went down her cheek as she tried to hide it but to no avail.

"Oi.. Sakura..." Sasuke called out to her. "Don't worry, we'll save him and bring him back.." He told her.

"I- It's not that..." She told him as she shook her head. "It's just... what if we can't?!" She said.

"What makes you think that?" Sasuke asked.

"He's been hiding from us this entire time. We even ran into him and tried fighting him without even knowing!" She told him. "For fucks sake, he's killed half the Akatsuki! I- I'm just-" She was at a loss for words, too much is going on for her and everyone else.

"Lost?" He helped finished her sentence.

"Yeah... loss.." She responded.

"Well... just let me do the talking then, the dobe will come through, I know he will-"

They all suddenly heard the Kyuubi's roar again and they looked in the sky where the huge rock is at and they saw the Kyuubi's head sticking out.

"Pein is up ahead!" Hinata said, her Byakugan already active.

Sasuke jumped further ahead of everyone else. He had to help out the person he considers a friend no matter what.

Naruto's POV

Naruto and Kurama both broke out of the ball they trapped in and they landed on the ground. Naruto shot his head back up to Pein, the man stood there infuriated.

"Why..." Pein said. "Why go this far for someone?!!"

"It's not just for Ero-Sennin.." Naruto told him.

They both then began charging towards Pein and began to show no mercy whatsoever on him. Every punch they delivered all had to be so they can execute the plan and show Pein their final power.

Another punch sent Pein into a tree and he coughed as he slowly got back up. He let out a loud yell in anger. "Shinra-!"

Naruto wasn't gonna let him finish, Kurama landed above him and gave him another punch before picking up Pein and slamming him into the ground, almost knocking out the man.

Kurama only had about another 30 seconds left until he goes away.

Kurama! We gotta do the thing right now!

I only got a minute, kit.

Then start building it up quick!

The Kyuubi jumped from a far enough distance began forming a beam ball that looks like it could be unavoidable. It went from small and got bigger every second, the Kyuubi had to make sure that they don't miss this chance.

"We could've completed everything together, Pein. We could've obtained all the tailed beasts and destroy Konoha just like you and the rest had planned.

Naruto bit down on his lip enough to almost draw blood. He was also excited, he was about to kill the Akatsuki's leader and fulfill his revenge for Jiraiya.

"Now you have to face the same fate as the rest.." He told him.

Kit! It's ready!

Naruto nodded mentally and looked back down at Pein. He saw as the man slowly got back up on his two feet, only to fall on his knees again.

Pein eyed the huge Tailed-Beast Bomb and let out a growl. "Have fun in the next life... Pein.."

The Tailed-Beast Bomb then shot towards Pein as the man let out an echoed yell. "NARUTO!!!!"

The bomb finally came in contact with Pein, the ground shook as the loud boom could be heard from miles away. The impact it's about to leave, it guaranteed death for Pein.

The ground shaking, came to a stop as smoke filled the air, the ground left a crater almost similar to the one at the village, just a bit smaller.

The smoke around the crater took a while to go away but when it did, Naruto smiled. Pein's body laid there, lifeless. His eyes were rolled back and his body was practically burnt to a crisp. The sight would've been terrifying to anyone, but to Naruto, he took time to enjoy it.

He laughed a bit as Kurama went away, soon the chakra around Naruto also went away. His yellow glow returned back to his usual clothing color.

He walked towards the body and took out his sword, for extra measures, he stabbed the dead body in the head and just left it there as he knelt.

He observed the body a bit before reaching his hand out to grab one of the piercings from Pein's nose.

He removed it and just looked at it in a confusing way. All the other bodies had this too... what could this mean?

"N- Naruto??" He heard a familiar voice. He rolled his eyes and stood back up. He only turned his head a bit and saw from the corner of his eyes, Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata, and Kiba all stood there.

Sasuke's POV

They all looked at him a bit frightened, the boy didn't say a word to them, as if he doesn't know them. Not to mention, him leaving a sword in someone's skull was definitely unlike him.

"Naruto... y- you did it..." Kiba said.

Naruto remained silent as he took his sword out of Pein's skull, they all noticed his slight smile.

Sakura wanted to speak but she agreed remembered that Sasuke was going to do the talking.

"Naruto..." He started off. "Y- You're... alive.."

Naruto face palmed mentally.

No shit..

Sasuke cleared his throat and stood in front of everyone. "Naruto... you have no idea how good it is to see your face again.." He told him. "Quite the entrance you made too dobe.."

Naruto remained silent as he puts his sword away and examined the rod he took out Pein's nose.

"Jiraiya left Tsunade-sama a code saying that none of these Pein bodies, are the real Pein.." Sakura told him. "But wherever the real Pein is, I'm sure we're all gonna find him together.." She smiled.

"N- Naruto-kun, you saved the v- village.." Hinata said while blushing a bit. "You saved all of u- us.."

"Couldn't expect nothing more from a friend!" Kiba responded. "Gave them one helluva beatdown too! That's the Naruto Uzumaki I know!" Kiba cheered.

Sakura smiled brightly as she approached Naruto. She put her hand on his shoulder, she still couldn't believe it. Someone she cared deeply for is still alive, and here she is, her hand on his shoulder.

"Well, what do you say Naruto? Let's head on back and start rebuilding, once it's done we can stop by Ichiraku. Hmm??" Sakura suggested.

"Hn.." Sasuke said from behind.

Naruto's POV

Why...? Why are they all the sudden acting like they care about me? Where was all these kind words and such care, when I was still here?! Fucking assholes..

Naruto took Sakura's hand off his shoulder and stepped away from them all. Sakura was taken back a bit.

"Naruto..." She started off. "W- What's wrong?"

Naruto balled up his hands into fists, his nails digging into his palm.

"No.." Was all he said.

"N- No what?" Sakura responded.

"If you think, I'm going back to that cursed village you're nothing but a fool.." Naruto told them.

"Oi, come on..." Kiba responded worriedly.

"Naruto, We haven't seen you for so long!" Sasuke responded, taking a few steps towards the blonde. "We thought you died! We had a funeral, and mourned you for the longest! Are you seriously just gonna abandon your friends?!"

Sasuke puts his hand on Naruto's shoulder, but the blonde instantly smacked it away, he turned around and gave Sasuke a pissed off look.

"We were never friends!" Naruto responded. "All those times, I tried so desperately to be apart of Team 7 but it's like all Kakashi and Sakura cared about was you!" He snapped.

"You, and your fucking dead clan!"

Sasuke began to lose his cool. "What the hell has gotten into you! Do you have any idea what we've gone through without you?! Dammit, we MISSED you!!"

Naruto scoffed. "Missed me?! That's laughable, because if I remember correctly, the last time I saw you and Sakura, I got a punch to the gut for helping her out and YOU tried to kill me!!"

Sakura gasped before frowning. She did regret how she treated him every time she visited his fake grave. Naruto came back bruised up and injured because of how hard he tried to bring back Sasuke. She told herself that Naruto didn't deserve that.

"And then you got the nerve to say, we're FRIENDS?? That's all bullshit and you know it!" Naruto snarled, venom lacing his words.

"N- Naruto-kun, please just-"

"Shut up, Hinata.." Naruto told her.

Kiba gritted his teeth. "Just who the hell do you think you are?!"

Kiba tries to go in for a punch on Naruto but the blonde easily dodged it and kicked him into a tree.

"Kiba-kun!" Hinata cried out.

Sakura's eyes widened. This was so unlike Naruto to attack someone he knows like that. She tried to approach him but he stood further away from them all.

"Naruto-kun! Please, no more!" She pleaded. "Stop, just come back to the village and we'll work everything-"

"I don't think any of you understand. I'm not going back to that village! The people there, they got what was coming to them!" Naruro shouted.

"I'm done! With you, with Team 7, with everyone there! I hate you all so fucking much that I can't stand being around you for any longer!"

Sakura was almost on the verge of tears. His words were cutting deep, this was indeed, nothing like Naruto.

"Follow me once, I send you back with broken bones. Follow me again, I'll send you back dead." He said.

"Naruto-kun!" Sakura tried to call out.

But it was too late, Naruto got out of there quick. That was the last they had seen of him as of right now.

Naruto jumped through the trees, he got farther and farther away from them, he had to hold back from killing them right there.

Kun? Naruto thought. She said, Naruto-kun? Heh... yeah right..

Naruto shook off his thoughts as he continued to jump, he had already killed all the Pein bodies, there's just one more thing to do before moving onto the next person he wants to kill.

Hm... maybe having the Rinnegan won't be such a bad idea..

Kit, you got me and the Sharingan, if you go for the Rinnegan, I doubt anyone would stand a chance against us.

Then so be it...

Naruto smirked, if he had to guess where the real Pein is, he would go to the Rain Village instead.

Sasuke's POV

Sasuke stood there, he was beyond pissed. Someone he thought died, had just completely abandoned them, without hesitation.

Sakura stood by him with a worried expression, she couldn't believe this either.

"S- Sasuke-kun.." Hinata said as she helped Kiba up to his feet. "W- What do we do now?" She asked worriedly.

Everyone turned their attention to him, he was still at a lost for words, but he had to make a good decision.

"Naruto isn't going to make this easier, we have no village as of right now and the Akatsuki will be even more trouble knowing the leader is soon to die." Sasuke said.

He turned his back and walked towards the direction of the village. The rest followed from behind, Sakura slightly frowning.

"Get ahold of Gaara, let him and the sand know that Naruto is still alive, we're going to need him so we can obtain the dobe." He told them.

"I- I believe Shikamaru said something about there being a 5 Kage Summit.." Kiba told him.

Sasuke remained quiet, it seemed as if the atmosphere has changed. It was quiet the whole way back to the village. Everyone was on edge, they were in a mix of shock but also sadness. Their faces caused Sasuke to set a new goal.

I'm going to get you back Naruto. Just like how you saved me..
