As promised, the last three chapters of this story are finally up. I apologize for the long wait, as I have absolutely no interest in continuing this story whatsoever, but since I already made the promise to finish it to the end, I kept on pressing myself to do it no matter what.
I can't say I am too happy with the outcome, however. I feel like they could be much better and higher quality, but given that the fact that I forced myself to type out all these despite the lack of interest and ideas, I think that's quite praiseworthy already…
Either way, please enjoy the last three chapters, regardless of their qualities.
Chapter 47
The Finale Begins
After entering the ship, the robot went to a large, spacious room before opening its body to dump its prisoner onto the floor. Izuku immediately got up with a face filled with panic and looked around to find out where he is. He stood up and got into a defensive stance while saying to himself, "What… What is this place?!"
He eventually laid his eyes on a person standing at the front, not too far away. The person had a robotic body, but the most notable aspect about him was that he had a green head with three purple circles on the forehead. Izuku recalled what he learned from the Justice League and concluded that he must be the person responsible for all this in the first place. "Are… Are you Brainiac?" he asked him nervously.
"Indeed, I am Brainiac. The Justice League surely have told you about me," Brainiac said to him as he slowly approached him.
Knowing that an enemy before him, Izuku got into a fighting stance in case he truly had to fight him, but he was uncertain what sort of action he should take, as he wasn't sure just how strong Brainiac is, though he did learn about some of the things the cyborg alien could do from the League.
"I can sense fear in you, but rest assure that you do not have to fear, for I did not bring you here to harm you," Brainiac told him.
"How can you make that claim when you are attacking my city and world?!" Izuku angrily said to him.
"I simply wish to preserve knowledge for the benefit of the future," Brainiac told him. "However, the people of your world do not understand the good that I am doing to them and instead chose to oppose me. Therefore, I have to resort to a bit of violence in order to make them obey. Only then will they realize that it is useless to resist. They will eventually know that I am granting them eternal life and protection."
"I can't agree with you when your actions are in every way villainous!" Izuku said to him. "And why did you capture me?"
"Because you are one of my test subjects," Brainiac told him. "After having seen the results, I deem it necessary to bring back my test subjects and collect the results."
"Test subjects?" said a confused Izuku.
"I am the reason you and your fellow classmates ended up in my world," Brainiac told him. "All this was part of an observation that I conducted in order to learn more about your world. I wanted to see how your people would interact with the people of my world, which is the reason I brought you there in the first place."
"Then what is the point of attacking my world?!" Izuku asked him.
"As I have said before, it is to preserve your world, now that I have already learned enough about it," Brainiac said to him. "In the past, I would simply obtain a location of a world I come across and contain it in my ship. Over the years, I decided that I should perhaps try different methods of observation, so rather than hastily containing a location, I would conduct all sorts of observations and experiments first in order to discover new things before containing it."
"All this simply to satisfy your curiosity?! You're nothing but a mad man!" Izuku angrily said to him.
"I do not expect a being with an intellect inferior to mines to understand my actions or even agree with me," Brainiac said to him.
"The heroes will stop you! You won't get away with this!" Izuku said to him.
"The heroes will not succeed, for I have taken precautions to prevent my failure," Brainiac told him.
"That's what all villains say, but they always fail in the end!" Izuku said to him. "All Might and Superman will stop you!"
"They will never come here," Brainiac said to him, "but even if they do, they will be unable to prevail against me!"
"You better not underestimate them! You shouldn't underestimate me either! If you truly have been studying me, then you should know that I can fight as well!" said Izuku as he got into a fighting stance. "Before the pro heroes get here, I will do my best to take you down!"
"You are free to try. This is a good opportunity for me to observe your skills when pit against me," said Brainiac.
"Your overconfidence will be the end of you!" said Izuku. Activating his Quirk, the boy launched himself at Brainiac and threw a punch. However, a purple force field appeared around the cyborg, blocking the attack. Izuku fell back and said, "He has a force field?!"
"Your attacks will never be able to reach me," Brainiac said to him. "In fact, I can take you down without moving at all."
Ignoring what Brainiac said, Izuku brainstormed for various ideas in his head. "There's got to be some way to get past his force field! His power comes from technology, so perhaps he's carrying something on him that activates this shield. But since he's supposed to be a cyborg, maybe he has something installed inside his body that activates it with a thought? Does it have a limit? Is there a cool down to it? Assuming I can deactivate the force field by removing said device, how do I even get past him in the first place?"
"You are now coming up with a strategy to somehow get past my force field and take me down," Brainiac said to him. "You can think all you want, but your intellect can never help you succeed against me. I am much smarter than you!"
"He saw through what I was thinking! If he really is as smart as the Justice League says, then I'm afraid this is going to be a tough fight!" said Izuku. "I think for now, I will keep on attempting to attack him and see the limit of his force field!"
Activating his Quirk again, Izuku punched and kicked Brainiac multiple times, but each hit was stopped by the force field. Despite this, Izuku kept on attempting to hit Brainiac, hoping to somehow land a hit on him or destroy the force field. The whole time, the cyborg stood in place and did nothing. He even had a somewhat smug look on his face, implying that he was confident he would never get hit.
"You are only wasting your strength," Brainiac told him. "A smart person would've given up by now."
All Might finally arrived at the school grounds of U.A., where Brainiac's spaceship was still hovering above of. Looking around, he saw the young heroes from the other world fighting the robots, and the former was doing a good job at it. He also saw some of the school staff and even students fighting.
He was relieved to see that they were able to fend for themselves, but when he did not see the students of Class 1-A, he became worried about them.
Robin had just decapitated a robot with his sword when he saw All Might. "Huh? I thought you went with Batman and the others," Robin said to him.
"I believe they are doing fine fending off these villains, and as soon as I saw the spaceship of Brainiac here, I rushed over as soon as I could, for I am concerned about the wellbeing of the people here," All Might told him.
"You can see that we are doing a good job here," Robin told him.
"Yes, and I am glad to know this!" All Might told him. "Where are my students, however?"
"They should still be in the dorm," Robin told him.
All Might looked in the direction of the dorm, which couldn't be seen clearly from where he is currently, and said, "Thank you! I will go over and see how my students are faring. I wish you a good luck, Young Robin!" He then jumped off towards the dorm as fast as he could.
It took only a few seconds for him to get there, and when he did, he was shocked to see a large hole on the building, and he could hear shouting coming from in there. "They may be in danger! I have to hurry!" he thought before jumping all the way into the building through the hole.
When he appeared, the students were shocked at first, only to be relieved to see that it was someone they knew. "All Might!" said Mina happily.
Looking around and seeing some robots present, All Might, "You have fought well, students, but you no longer have to worry! Why? Because I am here!"
As if responding to the presence of a dangerous being entering the scene, the robots stopped targeting the students and went for him instead. One of them was punched through the body by a fast-moving All Might before he could do anything, and then the pro hero proceeded to punch the remaining robots to smithereens before they could do anything.
The students were amazed at how well he was performing. "Wow! Look at how All Might obliterated them in seconds!" said Eijiro in awe. "And it took as several minutes for us to even take down one!"
"That's All Might for ya!" Denji said to him.
All Might looked around and saw that the coast was clear. "It seems that you are safe for now! I hope everyone is all right."
Ochako ran up to him with a worried look and said, "The robots took Midoriya! He was captured by one of them and taken to the spaceship!"
"What?!" gasped All Might in horror. If his body condition was still the same as before, he would've coughed out blood. "Are you serious?!"
"It's true!" Momo told him. "Some of the robots tried to abduct us, and Midoriya was taken by one of them!"
All Might angrily looked outside at the spaceship and said, "That villain! I will never forgive him for this!"
"What are we going to do?" Ochako asked him.
"Do not worry; I will rush inside and rescue Young Midoriya no matter what it takes!" All Might assured her.
He went up to the hole on the wall and looked at the spaceship from there. "I must get on board there and rescue Young Midoriya," he said in his head, "but how am I going to get in there?"
Just then, he noticed someone flying towards the spaceship in the distance. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be Superman. All Might waved at him and called out to him as well, hoping to grab his attention. He successfully did so, and Superman flew over and hovered in front of him.
"All Might! Good to see you well!" Superman said to him.
"You came at the right moment, Superman!" All Might said to him. "Young Midoriya has been captured by Brainiac and taken aboard his ship!"
Superman was, unsurprisingly, shocked to hear this. "What?! Then we must go rescue him fast!"
"Do you have a good way to get us both up there?" All Might asked him.
"Normally, it would be hard due to Brainiac using a force field to protect his ship, but luckily, Cyborg contacted me just now that he can now disable the force field," Superman told him. "However, he can only do so for a few seconds, and during the few seconds the force field is down, I will break into the spaceship. I will take you along as well."
"That sounds like a good plan!" All Might said to him.
"All right, if you're ready, I will contact Cyborg and tell him to disable the shield," Superman said to him, and the latter nodded.
Superman then stood next to All Might and told him to place his arm over his shoulder. After All Might did so, Superman contacted Cyborg through his communication device placed next to his ear, telling him to deactivate the force field.
"Roger that! It'll take a few second," said Cyborg from the other side. "Should be happening right… now!" As soon as he said that, the force field around the spaceship disappeared. "Hurry! You only have a few seconds before…"
"I got it!" Superman interrupted him. Without saying anything else, the Kryptonian shot towards the spaceship at an incredibly fast speed, carrying with him All Might, who was surprised by the speed he was moving at, even though he was prepared for it.
Traveling at a speed that rivals the Flash, Superman was able to crash through the spaceship's exterior before the force field returned.
