Guidance Between Black And White:
An announcement is held over all of the U.A. campus...the Festival of Courage shall begin in one day's time. Students are advised to hand in petitions that will decide if they are allowed to run stalls. Also...request sheets that wish to sign up for the Courage Challenge will be accepted. Provided if they are handed on time by 4:50 PM after lessons have ended for the day. Pro Heroes shall be joining the Advancement Level tournament of the challenge...whilst surprising guests will be joining the Intermediate Level tournament.
Aizawa and the others that opposed hosting the festival were overruled by Gran Torino voting in favour of it, believing that the event will be a good thing towards uncovering a few truths. Namely...both the spy for the League of Villains and whether or not the Seven Darks will stay true to their word and not commence their attack until the end of the week. As the festival will continue as scheduled, Aizawa has decided to recluse himself from the event. Refusing to become part of something that will more so likely endanger the students, rather then raise their spirits...
Instead, he will serve as the chief stationary position that will keep watch over any and all irregular activities making themselves known on the grounds of U.A. Joining him are Hound Dog, Snipe and Power Loader. Taking care of things inside the school borders are Mic, Cementoss, Thirteen and Vlad King. Both Midnight and Ectoplasm were still wounded from their previous encounter with the Darks and so they will only help with minimal tasks that will not draw suspicions from the students and other visiting citizens. Only the Pro Heroes that are not part of the school stuff will know what's truly going on involving the Seven Darks and their plan.
(Music Cue-Chimu no Jiriki from Haikyuu!)
Visitors can only consist of relatives and those with close enough ties. As such...the students can be reunited with their family members and longtime friends. The day before the festival, at the entrance to U.A. High School, Class 1-A's students are the first to reunite with their respective families. Inko arrives and tries to look around for Izuku, only then to accidentally bump into Mitsuki Bakugo. The two already knew each other very well, due to the both strange and awkward relationship that their sons had shared. The major and only difference being that the mothers actually like one another and get along as people.
Mitsuki apologises for Bakugo and how he can be rough most of the time with his peers, especially Izuku. Inko becomes bashful and says that is not the case whatsoever, trying to remain humble around Mitsuki. The Bakugo family were informed before arriving that only Class 1-A are allowed to receive visitors that were members from their families the day before the festival begins. Due to how they are the ones constantly swept up in things...namely the two incidents with the League of Villains at the U.S.J. and again at Kamino...
Masaru Bakugo hopes that the festival will ease everyone's minds once it kicks off, though Inko remains unusure. Wanting to cheer her up, Mitsuki decides that the Bakugo family will remain by her side until the festival ends. Feeling that they should remain close, just like their sons. Whilst Mitsuki loudly laughs can both Inko and Masaru only laugh nervously...knowing exactly what their sons can be like towards one another. Speaking about one of them...
Katsuki is seen at Gym Gamma...having completely destroyed the inside. Setsuna, Mirio and Amajiki have been watching what Bakugo has done to the place this whole time. Just then, Hadou arrives. Amajiki wonders what she had been up to, as Hadou says that she was helping the Department of Management out with something. Per the request of a certain benefactor of theirs, they wanted Hadou's input with products they plan to sell during the festival. Amajiki is unsure of what all that means...sensing it cannot be good whatsoever.
Hadou notices what Bakugo has done to Gym Gamma, wondering if he will get in trouble with the teachers. Mirio says most likely...but Bakugo probably won't care. For now...he has finished his training for the Festival of Courage and is satisfied that he could complete all of his preparations. Setsuna watches Bakugo...wondering if he will be alright for the upcoming tournament, as he intends to compete in the Advancement Level. Mirio replies that he cannot be sure...only knowing...that Bakugo is ecstatic for the festival to begin already. Just from looking at the sadistic looking expression upon his face alone...
Despite her worries, Setsuna still decides on having faith in Bakugo. Also deciding at that moment to join the Festival of Courage too. Elsewhere...principal Nezu calls Aizawa to his office. Wanting to know why he has been summoned...Nezu asks Aizawa to sit as the two must discuss something very important between one another. Nezu reveals to Aizawa that because of the latter's strong feelings about the students very possibly being placed in danger due Nezu's decision towards holding the festival. Nezu wants Aizawa to know that the former respect his commitment of his role as teacher...and thus. Nezu has hired another temporary hand on-board to assist with matters regarding the Festival of Courage itself.
(Music Cue-Ideal and the Real from Persona 5 Royal.)
This time...he has hired a special mediator that shall serve as a guidepost between students, teachers and visitors alike. Pressing a hidden button under his table, Nezu informs this special mediator in question to make himself known. The principal's office door automatically opens...as a man walks in to introduce himself. Aizawa narrows his eyes...trying to gauge this new face. The man politely introduces himself as "Dakuma Shisukemaru" and he shall be the chief umpire for the festival activities. Originally the spot would have gone towards Midnight...but unfortunately, she is still recuperating.
Dakuma hopes that both he and U.A. will get along, raising out a hand gesture towards Aizawa. The Class 1-A homeroom teacher decides to get up and approach Dakuma, wanting to see him up close and personal. Hesitant at first to accept his hand gesture...Aizawa then relents and shakes Dakuma's hand, earning his trust. Aizawa hopes in return that Dakuma will be able to earn HIS trust, subconsciously stating that he is still wary of this sudden newcomer on the scene. Regardless, Aizawa and Dakuma agree to get along for the sakes of the students during the Festival of Courage, even if they will only know each other for a very short period of time.
Lastly...Izuku and Ochaco in the meantime are "suddenly" met by Tokoyami, coughing and interrupting a heartwarming moment. The pair learning that Tokoyami was watching them back away in both bashful and blushing embarrassment, Izuku scratching the back of his head and Ochaco hoping back upon her bed whilst tending to her two long hair strands. As Tokoyami offers them both a basket filled with different kinds of fruit on a mantle in-between their beds, he reveals to Izuku that Tokoyami was informed by All Might to pass on a message...
(Music Cue-HERO A from My Hero Academia.)
If Izuku had not already heard on the student radio local news call of U.A. then Tokoyami was to inform his classmate of two things. The 1st was that the families of Class 1-A would be visiting today, allowing Izuku to meet with his mother. And the 2nd...was about the Courage Challenge of the Festival of Courage that will begin tomorrow. All Might would like to know if Izuku will participate or not...because the Courage Challenge will be including Pro Heroes in the mix. Tokoyami claims that he doesn't know the relationship between Izuku and All Might, nor really cares. However...the business concerning the Courage Challenge has intrigued Tokoyami. He plans to participate, knowing that certain others from Class 1-A will too.
Bakugo, Todoroki, Iida, Kirishima, Kaminari, Sero, Yaoyorozu and Ashido. Including certain members from Class 1-B. Tetsutetsu, Juzo Honenuki, Togaru Kamakiri, Kosei Tsuburaba, Kendo and Setsuna. Even people outside the Hero courses. Hatsume and Shinso. And special guests. Inasa from Shiketsu, Yo Shindo from Ketsubutsu, Habuko Mongoose from Isamu, Saiko Intelli from Seiai and someone from Seijin whom prefers to remain anonymous. If counting both Izuku and Ochaco into the mix...the participants from Class 1-A will number 11. If adding Class 1-B's numbers with those of the special guests, the total number rivals also at 11...
Tokoyami asks will Izuku participate? if Recovery Girl gives him the all-clear that is. A very unsure expression then appears on Izuku's face...unable to make a decision.
To be Continued.
