Metalicana

"You almost lost your temper again Sylvia," I chuckled out, not being able to stop myself as we retreated from the scene behind us.

I heard Sylvia huff out in frustration behind us, "I told them I didn't want to fight them!" She yelled out, her speed increasing along with her anger, "But those idiots didn't want to listen, because, oh no, they are all wise and can beat up everyone!" She ranted, her voice rising

"Those idiots," a voice said warningly, "Happen to be part of our guild and are related to us, so show them respect!" She said to us, her amber eyes blazing with anger.

"Oh boo hoo," Sylvia responded, "You only say that because none of your parents were here tonight and your just upset because you didn't get to fight them, Lexie,"

"Gihi," I laughed, "So that's why you looked like you wanted to rip Uncle Natsu's head off," I told her teasingly, "I mean it's not like it's his fault the others didn't come,"

"Uggh! Shut up!" Lexie shouted, her cheeks turning red as she clenched her fist, "That's not true and you know it!" She told us angrily.

Sylvia and I look at each other before looking back to our distraught friend.

"We know Lex," Sylvia said gently, as I watched her, a little shocked.

I've seen it a hundred times, but it's always so interesting how she can go from being the devil himself to an angel in one second.

"Yah," I said, agreeing with Sylvia, "You know we were just messin with ya!" I told her jokingly, hoping that I was smiling encouragingly.

After all, it's not like the Redfox's have a good history of smiling sweetly without looking like we're tryna kill somebody.

Lexie looked at us and offered a small smile, "I know, Thanks guys," She said, before turning her focus back to the path in front of us, "Now, c'mon and let's go tell the others what went down today so we can prepare for tomorrow," She told us cheekily.

"Gihi," I chuckled evilly, "Can't wait to tell everyone how I beat my dad,"

"OLD STEEL BLACK GAJEEL!" Sylvia sang out jokingly, "BUT NOW HE'S JUST A TOASTED MEAL!" She finished, barely able to contain her laughter as she sang the song, we all created when we were little when Uncle Natsu beat dad.

Drives dad crazy.

But we didn't stop.

We just sang it even more.

Gajeel

I felt shivers run down my back, and immediately lifted my head up.

"What's wrong?" Levy asked me, her beautiful eyes filled with misplaced worry.

Why does it feel like someone's mocking me?

"Nothin," I told her decisively, not wanting her to worry about something so small.

She looked at me suspiciously, "Oh, ok," I saw her turn away from me as quick as she could, but not before I saw the hurt in her eyes.

Crap! She thinks I'm hiding something from her!

I felt an unwanted feeling fill my body, always hating it when she's upset with me or upset for something I did.

I'll explain to her later when we're alone.

Hopefully it will divert her from asking me about what we found out there.

My brain had a hard time of understanding what that little brat was telling me before she knocked me unconscious.

Stupid girl.

"Gajeel," Erza said, snapping me out of my thoughts, her eyes narrowed.

This ain't good.

"Yah?" I asked her reluctantly.

"What happened?" She asked me firmly, in front of the whole guild that was currently surrounding us as we tried to recount our experiences.

"What do ya mean?" I asked her irritated, trying to play stupid so I wouldn't have to tell everyone I let the brat go, especially in front of Levy.

"I'll tell ya what happened!" Natsu shouted, "We saw three girls, and let them get away! We should go back out there and find them!" He shouted, fire coming out of his mouth as he went into his stupid rant.

I was grateful for the interruption but I would never tell him that.

Well at least the pyro is useful for something….

It didn't skip by me when I heard bunny girl giggle from behind me.

"But I thought you said you wanted to go back to the hotel," She whispered, a smile gracing her face as she looked at Salamander.

Gihi. She looks at him the same way I look at Levy.

By the look Salamander gave Lucy after she said that, I'm sure he heard it too, because the next thing you know he's settled down and sitting by Lucy and Happy.

Whipped.

"As I was saying," Erza said, more than irritated by his outburst, "What happened with you Gajeel," She said, returning her attention to me.

"Actually," Master Makarov came in, "I'd like to her your and Natsu's side of the story first. It sounds like you might have more information than Gajeel does considering that while he fought his opponent, yours talked,"

Thank you old man.

"Very well," Erza said, sitting down at a table, a piece of strawberry cake in front of her, no doubt for her when we were done with this conversation, "Natsu and I encountered the girl known as Sylvia Lockser," She said, and told everyone about what happened.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Gray walked into the room, his eyes focused intently on Erza as she told him about their run-in.

"We didn't get much information, all we know is that she is here along with a few other accomplices and they are apparently here unwillingly," Erza said, her eyes conveying the seriousness of the situation, "She told us that all she wanted to do was go home, but in order to do that they needed to carry out their plan,"

"Which is?" Makarov asked, his eyebrow raised in suspicion.

"Something she refused to tell us," Erza said, "And that's when the girl known as Metalicana as well as another girl showed and then ran,"

"And why is it that you didn't go after them again?" Gray asked, his voice filled with frustration.

"Because," Erza said tiredly, "Not only do we need to save our energy for tomorrow's games, but it's obvious that they're participating, which means we will without a doubt seem them again," She said confidently, her eyes looking around the room as if expecting a challenge.

Gray looked as if he wanted to, but as smart enough not to.

"Wait," Jet said from behind me and Levy, "You said that the girl Gajeel was fighting showed up after you had just left her with Gajeel," He says thoughtfully.

I'm gonna kill him.

I could feel the wheels turning in their heads.

"Wait," Droy said, a chicken wing in hand, "That's means that this girl took out Gajeel by herself,"

"Not only that but she did it fast," Jet said, his voice in slight disbelief.

I looked down to see Levy look up at me, who eyes filled with questions.

Questions that I did not want to answer.

I glared at the two idiots behind me.

"I bet we would've been able to bring her back," Jet said, with false confidence.

"Yah," Droy agreed, "Gajeel might be strong, but it's obvious he lacks the skill that Shadow Gear has when we work as a team,"

Levy giggled as my glared intensified.

They're dead.

I got up from my spot and walked over to them.

"You wanna run that by me again," I asked them, peering down as I saw fear wash over their faces.

"Knock it off," Erza said, coming between the three of us, before looking at Jet and Droy scornfully, "At this rate, I doubt you three imbeciles together wouldn't even be able to take down Max, and for goodness sake Droy," She said, looking at the man's state distastefully before she sighed, "I don't even know where to begin with you," She said before shaking her head and walking back towards he strawberry cake.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Droy asked, his face red.

"Don't worry Droy," Macao said, raising his mug, "We've all been there,"

"Yah no kidding!" Cana agreed, a cheeky smile in her face along with a barrel of booze in her lap.

"What I am curious about, though, is what this Metalicana girl said to you Gajeel," Natsu said, his eyes peered curiously.

It's rare, but it has been proven that somewhere deep inside Salamander actually has a brain.

"I was wondering that as well," Erza said, her eyes focused on me.

I sighed defeatedly.

I might as well get over with.

"She didn't tell me much," I told them honestly, "But what she did tell me I'm not even sure is true," I paused, trying to avoid Levy's eyes, "She told me her name was Metalicana Redfox,"

"Just like Sylvia said she was a Lockser," Erza said consciously, putting the pieces together before she looked up at me.

She knows.

"Metalicana Redfox, daughter of Gajeel Redfox, and therefore granddaughter of the Iron Dragon Metalicana. She's a sixth-generation dragon slayer known as the pure bloods," I tell them, repeating the words the girl told me earlier.

I didn't dare look at Levy's questioning eyes when I finished.

"What do you think that means for Sylvia," Bunny girl asked, her eyes focused on Erza, I guess she was trying to get confirmation for what she was thinking, "Does that mean?" Lucy asked, letting the question hang in the air.

"Yes," Erza said, "I think that Sylvia is in fact Juvia's daughter from the future," She said, though you could through her eyes she wasn't quite able to grasp the situation.

I kept waiting for the moment when Salamander lost it, but he never did.

In fact, he looked completely out of it. His eyes were completely focused on Lucy, and his face was frozen in what I assume to be his thinking face.

Looks stupid.

"I see," Master Makarov said, finally breaking the silence that had fallen over the guild, "Well, then, it's not like there's much we can do about it now," He said before a large smile overcame his face, "Let's all get some well-deserved sleep, so we can kick butt tomorrow and show everyone exactly why we're NUMBER ONE!" He said, hoping up his hand in the legendary symbol.

I looked around to see the cheeky grins surrounding the room, everyone holding up their hands.

I felt a smile creep up my face as I raised my hand.

Guess I struck gold when I joined this guild.

I turned to look at Levy, who caught my eye.

"We're definitely talking about this tonight," She whispered in my ear, her eyes sharing a knowing look with mine.

Look forward to it shrimp.

So what are your thoughts about this chapter?

How bout that song in the beginning? Lol, made that up on the spot but I think it's freakin hilarious! Then again, I think a lot of things are hilarious :)

Not much action just kind of a filler with a little bit of banter between the guild lol :)

I'm gonna be honest, I feel like it's been a while since we've had some romance so...in the words of Gajeel... gihi ;)

LOL off topic but I planted a garden! We'll see how that goes! Hopefully, it stays alive! HERE'S TO HOPING!
