Vic and Louise woke up the next morning and had breakfast with each other. They spent hours inside the house playing video games and having fun with Mary-Beth. Later on, Louise had gotten two tickets to see Phil Collins perform live at the Hyman Memorial Stadium, which would be a great experience to share with Vic, especially after the many times he helped Phil from his imminent death in the past.
As the hours elapsed, it was now 6:57 PM, and the concert would be starting in about thirty more minutes. The couple was sitting on the couch of the living room watching the news on television, with Mary-Beth on Louise's lap holding her stuffed bear. A female news reporter was discussing the imminent Phil Collins concert at the Hyman Memorial Stadium.
"I can't wait for that concert to start," Louise told Vic wearing an eager smile on her face.
"Me either," Vic added wrapping his left arm around Louise's shoulder. "I'm really glad to spend it with my girl."
Louise chuckled amorously. "I'll be just as happy to spend it with my faithful soldier."
The two were so mesmerized by each other's words that they didn't even listen to the news reporter from the television.
Just then, Vic heard his pager beeping. He picked it up to read the message. "Ah, that figures," Vic said reading the message on the pager.
"What?" Louise asked him. "What is it, Vic?"
"Listen, Louise," Vic told her hopping out of his seat and strapping the pager on his belt, "I'll meet you at the stadium in a little while. I have to make a trip to the hospital to pick someone up. I have no time to explain, so I want you and Mary-Beth to get over to the concert right away."
"Okay, Vic," Louise replied slowly rising out of her seat as well. "I'll save you a front row seat."
"Sure thing," Vic said, and he headed out the door.
The message was from Barry, who told him that he had to pick up Reni from the hospital after "his" fourth sex change and drop "her" off at the Escobar International Airport. So Vic hopped inside his Cheetah, started the engine, and drove away. The afternoon air was stagnant and barely budging through. The vehicles rolled slowly through the road of Vice Point.
As Vic continued driving through the long road leading to Washington Beach, he checked his digital wristwatch. It was now 7:05 PM, which meant the concert started in less than thirty minutes. Vic had to work fast so he wouldn't miss the concert. He finally made it through the road of Washington Beach and slowly rolled through the entrance of the parking lot around the Ocean View Hospital. Vic parked his vehicle into a parking spot and headed for the entrance of the hospital's edifice.
Vic walked inside the hospital to approach one of the nurses behind the counter. "I'm here to see Reni," he told the nurse.
"She's down the hallway," the nurse answered pointing to her right where the door labeled "Hall" was located at.
"Thanks, ma'am," Vic thanked, and he took the doorway leading to the hallway. Vic continued walking straight down until he finally saw Barry, Phil Collins, and Reni. The latter was not dressed in a white robe and beige pants and had on a leopard-skin hat, as well as dark shades. It was clear to Vic that Reni had now transformed from a "he" to a "she".
"Vic!" Reni asked in a now-feminine voice as "she" spotted Vic approaching "her" and the other two guys. "Darling! How do I look?"
"Uh, different," Vic answered dryly.
"Fantastische!" Reni cheered scurrying over to Vic. "I was just telling Barry he should get some implants."
Barry just laughed sarcastically. "Ha, ha, flipping ha." he replied.
"Great," Vic chuckled. He then turned to Phil Collins. "Hey, Phil, you ready for the concert?" Vic asked the singer. "How's everything looking?"
"Good... I think," Phil Collins responded. "Unless Barry's got some more surprises in store."
"Hold on, mucker," Barry chimed in, "you are gonna have to stop giving me a hard time."
"No worries," Phil told him. "You stop having me killed, and I'll stop complaining about it".
"Vic dealt with that... that teething trouble," Barry replied. "This is rock and roll, son, not flipping flower arranging."
"Oh, do shut up," Phil Collins told him. "Listen, we've got work to do." He turned to Vic. "Vic, we'll see you at the gig." He also turned to Reni. "Reni, it's, uh... been an experience. I'll make sure Barry calls you."
"Phil!" Barry called out as he and Phil walked away
"Darlings, I love you both!" Reni called to them, then turned to Vic. "Vic, can you drive me to the airport on your way to the gig?"
"Heh!" Vic responded awkwardly. "Sure, sure. Come on."
Reni cheered excitedly as she followed Vic through the exit of the hospital.
Vic and Reni walked over to Vic's Cheetah and hopped inside, with Vic getting inside the driver's seat.
"I had a few extra stitches put in down below, darling," Reni told Vic as the latter made a left turn out of the exit of the parking lot. "I'm a virgin, shiny and new. You could be my first."
"Dude, please, shut up," Vic replied politely making a left turn on the road.
He drove straight down a bridge leading to the western island and made a left turn on the long road leading to Viceport. He turned right on Little Havana and drove through the road to the direction of the airport, only to spot one of the black Sentinel XS vehicles trailing behind. The Mendez goons were after Reni again, and Diego was the one shooting at them.
"¡Derribadlos, chicos!" Diego cried out using his assault rifle to fire rapidly at Vic and Reni. "¡Sopla a esos hijos de puta en el gas!"
"Not again!" Reni cried out in fear. "I don't want to die a virgin!"
Vic paid the Mendez goons no mind as he continued driving as fast as he could to shake the Mendez goons off him. He made a sharp turn on a hairpin turn road and finally saw the Escobar International Airport up ahead. He dashed to the building and made a quick stop up front. The two then hopped out of the vehicle and walked over to the entrance.
"So, you're really leaving?" Vic asked Reni.
"I have no choice, darling," Reni replied. "Diego will never stop looking for me. Once you've been with Reni, nothing compares. Besides, I'm through with advertising - it's so morally bankrupt. I'm going to Europe to conquer the exotic adult movie business."
"Europeans like women with big hands and stubble?" Vic asked.
"Of course!" Reni replied as she made her way to the entrance. "We are more sophisticated than you Americans, darling. I know you want me, but Reni, she must go. Goodbye, darling! I'll send you my tapes! Think of me often!"
Vic watched as Reni walked through the metal detector and inside the airport. He let out a relieving sigh.
Thank goodness I won't have to deal with that tranny again, Vic thought.
He turned back around to return to his vehicle and hopped inside. He started the engine and drove away. Phil Collins' concert was about to start in twenty minutes, and Louise had saved him a seat there as well.
So he drove straight down and made a few turns on the roads of Little Havana right before making a left turn down the long road. Vic drove straight down through Downtown and made a left turn on the dead end where the Ammu-Nation was located at. He drove straight down the road until he made a right turn and drove straight down the road.
Vic saw the Hyman Memorial Stadium to his left and saw that there were a lot of vehicles parked in the parking lot. Vic found an empty space by a blue Sentinel XS and parked there. He hopped out of the vehicle and darted towards the steps to enter the stadium.
Inside the stadium, everyone was sitting in rows of seats in front of the stage cheering for Phil Collins to preform. Unfortunately, Giorgio's hitmen were still after Phil Collins, and the concert was about to start in less than twenty minutes. Vic had just arrived on backstage to have this discussion with Barry.
"Where've you been?" Barry asked Vic. "Phil's already on. I'm shitting bricks here, mate. Giorgio's definitely going to try something."
"Keep your pants on," Vic told him. "I'll make my way down front and keep an eye on things."
So Vic walked away to search exhaustively around the backstage for any of the hitmen. He then took a glance up to see the hitmen scanning through the lighting rigs up above.
That's strange, Vic thought. No one's supposed to be up there. Better go check it out.
So Vic went around the backstage and took the stairs to make his way on top of the lighting rig. There, he saw one of the hitmen unscrewing the lighting rig in order to have the lighting rig fall on Phil Collins to sabotage the performance. Vic ran up on the member and grabbed him by the collar. He threw a few right crosses and finished him off with a left uppercut. Knocking the member out cold.
Another member of the hitmen came to pounce on Vic, who countered with a grapple move on the hitmen member and wrestled him to the ground, followed by a loud snap.
Soon, many of the hitmen were climbing up the lighting rig, and several of them were unscrewing the bolts that were supporting it. Luckily, Vic thwarted their attempts by beating down each of the hitmen to the ground. He was actually enjoying beating the members to a pulp, and thus he was already having a great time before the concert even started.
After about five minutes of beating down the hitmen, Vic decided to climb back down to check if any of the hitmen were still sneaking backstage. Vic made it backstage to find several hitmen lurking around. So Vic defeated the two by beating down each of the hitmen, knocking out one cold with a combo of punches and snapping the other one's neck. It was now official. Giorgio's hitmen were now all defeated and no longer able to harm Phil Collins in any way.
By the time the concert was getting ready to start, Vic finally made it inside the concert in the rows of seats. He made it to the second row to see Louise having a seat with Mary-Beth in her lap. She had just noticed Vic taking a seat adjacent to her.
"Vic!" she called. "Right on time!"
"I told you I'd be here!" Vic replied. "Now it's time to enjoy the concert!"
"This is gonna be the greatest date of my life!" Louise bellowed.
The crowed then stopped singing as the concert began. "In the Air Tonight" started playing, and the other musicians, a guitarist, a bassist, and the keyboard player, were playing their instruments on stage as well.
The room became dark, and the bright neon lights up above began to shine. Phil Collins was slowly coming out from behind the curtains as the bright, white spotlight shown on him. He had a microphone to his mouth of his headphones and began singing the lyrics.
🎵 I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight? Oh Lord, oh Lord
Well, if you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before, my friend, but I don't know if you know who I am
Well, I was there and I saw what you did, I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies
And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
Well, I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
Well, I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well, I remember, I remember, don't worry, how could I ever forget?
It's the first time, the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no, you don't fool me
Well, the hurt doesn't show, but the pain still grows
It's no stranger to you and me
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
Well, I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well, I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well, I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord
Well, I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord 🎵
Right after the second verse, Phil then dropped the beat as he sang the chorus a third time, which elicited even louder cheers from the audience. Vic and Louise were certainly enjoying themselves, and Mary-Beth was even smiling through the experience.
As the song ended, Phil extended the chorus and dropped the final beat, causing the audience to cheer. Phil then paced the front of the stage to get a closer look at the audience cheering.
"You all liked that one, right?" Phil asked them. "You all remember this one?!"
The audience sheered in agreement. Phil then held his hands higher and slowly continued pacing. "Here's another one I had currently dropped," he told the audience, "and I have a special guest: meet the other Phil!"
Just then, Phil Collins' currently released song, "Easy Lover" started playing, and Phil backed up to the curtains to show Phil Bailey, the African-American singer, suddenly appeared from behind the curtains.
"We got two Phils for the price of one!" Louise told Vic vociferously. "Can't this concert get any better?!"
Vic nodded in agreement as the audience started cheering and Phil Collins and Phil Bailey started singing.
🎵Easy lover
She'll get a hold on you believe it
Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see
She's the kind of girl you dream of
Dream of keeping hold of
You'd better forget it
You'll never get it
She will play around and leave you
Leave you and deceive you
Better forget it
Oh you'll regret it
No you'll never change her, so leave it, leave it
Get out quick 'cause seeing is believing
It's the only way
You'll ever know
Easy lover
She'll get a hold on you believe it
Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see
You're the one that wants to hold her
Hold her and control her
You'd better forget it
You'll never get it
For she'll say there's no other
Till she finds another
Better forget it
Oh you'll regret it
And don't try to change her, just leave it, leave it
You're not the only one, ooh seeing is believing
It's the only way
You'll ever know, oh
No don't try to change her, just leave it, leave it
You're not the only one, ooh seeing is believing
It's the only way
You'll ever know, oh
She's an easy lover
(She's a easy lover)
She'll get a hold on you believe it
(Get a hold on you)
(She's) Like no other
Before you know it you'll be on your knees
(You'll be down on your knees)
She's an easy lover
She'll take your heart but you won't feel it
(You won't feel it)
She's like no other
And I'm just trying to make you see
(Trying to make you see)🎵
The song then came to a complete stop, and the audience watching and enjoying the whole performance cheered loudly.
It was getting late, and the audience were leaving through the hallways. Meanwhile, Vic was now at backstage talking with Barry.
"Mate," Barry told Vic, "that's it. I'm paying Giorgio back. It's gonna cost me a bloody fortune. You know he wants 60% interest. What can I do? I've got to think of me boy's well-being."
Phil Collins then arrived to meet up with the two. "Hi, Vic," Phil told Vic. "What did you think of the show?"
"Killer," Vic answered, "especially with Phil Bailey. You guys certainly made a killer duet."
"Cheers," Phil thanked. He then turned to Barry. "Hey, Barry, I'm glad you're thinking of my well-being. I could do with a break."
"No, mate," Barry protested. "We should be moving on; strike while the iron's hot. The U.S. loves you!"
"But I'm booked in at the hotel for another week," Phil told them. "I was going to work on the tan."
"You're kidding!" Barry complained wrinkling his face in confusion. "You gotta go to work, mate! I've just lined up a rake of shows. Loads of dosh... "
"And what about my well-being?" Phil asked Barry.
"Trust me," Barry told him, "you'll thank me. Don't get all histrionic... "
"Histrionic?" Phil asked sternly. "I've spent the last few days being chased around the city by a maniac. I've been shot at and nearly blown up!"
"See what I mean?" Barry responded. "Bloody celebrities... "
Phil Collins then turned to Vic. "Hey, Vic," he started to ask Vic, "have you ever thought about a career in management?"
"Hold up, boy!" Barry protested before Vic had a chance to answer Phil's question. "I'm your management!"
"Yeah - Miss Management," Phil replied sarcastically. "Or was that just Reni's name for you? You should have got those false tits, mate, just like Reni suggested. They'd look great alongside that real one you're using for your head!"
The two then walked out as they continued arguing. Vic just chuckled silently. The whole week has been so far great for him. He got his allies to protect the business empires, he got his career as a soldier back, he got Martinez discharged as a sergeant, he became Louise's girlfriend and was looking forward to propose to her, and he got to see his first ever live concert.
Vic stared at his watch. It was now 9:02 PM. Vic felt so tired and decided to return to Louise's house to get some sleep. He couldn't wait for a fresh, early morning start for tomorrow.
